Mickey rounded the corner at speed, heart pounding in his chest. He was worried about Sally, she'd just driven off after two armed men in a car, leaving him behind.

His heart stopped as he saw the car, abandoned, with no Sally to be seen. He ran towards the car, hoping harder than he ever had in his life that she was okay. As he approached the car, he saw her slumped against the driver's door handcuffed to the steering wheel. She seemed to be unconscious. Horrified, he threw himself down next to her and gently placed his fingers to her pulse point. There was a slow, steady beat.

"Sierra Oscar from DC Webb, I need an urgent ambulance to my location."

"Received DC Webb, ETA 5 minutes" came the reply.

"Sally?" he said as he shook her shoulders, "Sal can you hear me? It's Mickey."

Getting no response, he fumbled around in his pocket for his handcuff key. He supported her as she slumped against him when the handcuffs came loose.

Panicking, he tried rousing her again "Sal? Sally can you hear me?" She groaned in reply, lolling her head towards him slightly. "It's okay Sal, it's Mickey, you're safe now" he whispered.

"Don't leave me Mickey" she mumbled, leaning into him weakly.

"I won't leave you Sal, don't you worry, you're going to be fine" he reassured.

Her eyes started to drift shut again, "Sally! Sally you have to stay awake for me sweetheart!" he panicked, shaking her shoulders.

He heard the ambulance siren before he saw the ambulance, screeching to a stop next to them.

"You're going to be okay now Sal" he breathed, "I'm never leaving you again."
