When my sisters and I were young, we knew a little rhyme, which described the colours of a wedding dress and what they could mean. The only one I can still remember is "Married in yellow, ashamed of the fellow". I never was sure what sort of shame that rhyme means to suggest. Should one be ashamed of the fellow because he is unworthy of you, or should one be ashamed of the fellow because you know your love is wrong and disgraceful in every way?

If the latter, I believe I married the Dark Lord in yellow.
