Fourth floor hallway, right hand side...
"Who goes there?"
After looking around and realizing that she was being addressed by a portrait of a knight standing near an overweight pony, Hermione asked, "Are you speaking to me?"
"Indeed I am, fair lass." replied the knight.
"I am looking for Professor McGonagall, have you seen her?"questioned Hermione.
"And for what reason might you be looking for her?" asked the knight.
"I'm not sure, I think my friend received a hexed broom, and I'm not sure if I should report it. He seems so happy to get it, you see. But I'm worried for his safety." replied Hermione.
"Then you should tell Professor McGonagall. She is in the staff room one floor down. Gather your courage, me lass. 'Tis a brave thing to stand up for your friends, even to them if necessary to keep them from danger." stated the knight.
So, Hermione reported Harry's receipt of the broom. And although he was angry with her, she still felt that she had done the right thing and remembered the knight's words for always.
