Naruto waited at the gates waiting for his hot client, he listen to how the birds chirped and he marveled at the ever green trees

"Just like I remember it" He said

Just as he was taking in Konoha's beautiful surroundings an all white carriage being pulled by some men came strolling by

"Yeesh! The royal treatment" Naruto said to himself

The young women Hinata walked up to him, he could feel his chest pounding but it wasn't as bad

"Umm, Naruto-kun-"

"Sama" he said cutting in very rude like

"Okay" she said giggling "Naruto-sama, these are my trusted advisors…they said that they will help you along the way, and also look after me…and see to it that the mission is completed" She said with a warm smile

The smile warmed his heart "Weird" he said

Of course the demon of the bloody whirlpool wasn't going to have his name tarnished by such ridiculousness

"Uzumaki-sama I'm glad to h-" he was cut short

"Listen! I'm a solo artist alright, there's never been a mission higher than D ranked that I haven't done alone and completed….and I won't have you guys messing that up, she's my responsibility" He paused

"I guess he does care" Hinata said to herself with a little smile

"If anything happens to her then that will be the first mission I've ever failed…She's my mission…once shes at her fiancée's masion she's no longer my problem! So don't get in MY way" He said walking off

"I guess he just sees it as a mission and nothing more" Hinata said a little sadly

One of the members caught up with him to try and reason

"Uzumaki-sama! We are not going to back down because you said so, we don't care how powerful you are, we are a part of this too"

"You got some balls coming over here to say that to me, knowing full well that I could've laid you to rest, and that there's nothing the whole of Konoha could do to stop me afterwards…suit yourself but just know I won't be the one to kill you guys…it'll probably be the enemy" Naruto said walking off and hoping into the tree to wait for them to settle up

They started to walk and Naruto stayed to the side of the cart where he caught a couple of glimpses of Hinata inside, she seemed to be sleeping

He walked to the front where the guys were pulling the cart possibly against their will, Naruto felt some pity because they were being dragged into this

"Hey bud, how you holding up" one of the guys with blood red hair and a x for a scar by his eye said trying to make conversation

"Usually my missions are more action packed and more complicated with less people" Naruto said

"Well, The names Sojiro" he said taking his hands of the cart and putting one out to Naruto

Naruto looked at his hand and didn't take it "The Names Naruto"

"Well Naruto nice to meet you" he said getting back to pulling

"What the hell is wrong with these people?! Are they living under a rock? When they here Naruto they're suppose to cower in fear, When they hear Uzumaki they wet them self, when they hear my nickname they kill themselves, what's up with the people of Konoha?" Naruto thought

Later on

"Let's set up camp"

"What?" everyone else exclaimed

"This is why I'm a solo worker he said to himself

"Camp NOW" he then said putting emphasis on the now

Everyone sat around a fire, some people laughing some sleeping

Naruto sat in a tree and noticed that there was a person missing

"I'll go get her" he thought hopping down from the tall tree and strolled over to her tent

"Ohh Hinata-hime" He said pulling up the flap only to reveal an undressing Hinata there was a slight pause even an exchange in glance then

"EEEEKKKK!" She yelled out followed by a loud sound of something hard slapping someone across the face

"Our heir is in trouble!" one of the men jumped up

"Ah don't worry about it, she probably just saw a spider or something…besides that Naruto-whatever his name is seems to be on the case" He said pointing to the tree where Naruto was

"Yeah I guess your right" he said settling back comfortably

Naruto stumbled back to where everyone else was and passed them sojiro saw this and was curious and followed the young man over to the cliff side where Naruto sat crossed legged with a dazed look on his face looking out into the sunset

"Some fight you must have been in" Sojiro said pointing out the blood coming from Naruto's nose

"yep"

"Must have been hell, right"

"It was …blissful" Naruto said thinking back to what he saw and fainting from the blood loss

"Pervert" Sojiro said laughing whole heartedly and walking away leaving Naruto to rest

Naruto slept for a while until his acute hearing picked up some rustling in the bushes

"An enemy?" Naruto exclaimed in his mind "I'll just take him out quick he said hopping into the tree with great stealth and then moving to the next tree with flawless movements he saw the "enemy" stop in front of a sparkling lake, he stopped on the branch right before and listened

"Is he crying?" He asked "he shall pay for being a wuss!" He exclaimed pulling on his kunai getting ready for an attack, he leapt into the air with the moon right behind him he landed in front of the "enemy" in his stance ready when he noticed that the enemy wasn't an enemy it was lady Hinata crying

"What the hell?!" He exclaimed out loud breaking up her crying

She moved her face from her palms revealing a river of tears and red eyes and a red face

Naruto jumped back but recovered

"If this is because I saw you in the nude, don't worry I've seen way better so you don't have to cry" he said

"Was t-that supposed to be comforting" she said crying in her palms

"Crap" Naruto said he walked over not knowing what o do in situations such as this and looked at her crying form "How do I do this now" He said looking around in confusion "Wait…for some reason girls seem to like tight embraces…I mean my mother likes when my dad embraces her….what are they called again….shit….I got it they're called hugs…they seem to sometimes be used for love, friendship, and comfort" He deduced

He then got to her level and wrapped his arms around her, there was an awkward silence and then Hinata lifted her head and looked at him with a smile

"Thank you"

"Don't mention it….Anyway it's my job to protect you, sooo tell me who hurt you so I can slaughter them, so the threat will no longer harm you"

She looked at him and raised her brows in confusion

"Umm…it's not someone it's something"

"And where is my expertise needed in th-"

"Can you please just listen?" She pleaded

"…ok, but know that I don't usually listen to pleas especially when an enemy says to spare him…I'll make an exception just for you" he said

"Well anyway…its not fair because I don't have a choice on who I want to marry and what I want to become…I always wanted to be a ninja…and pick my own suitor…but nothing goes my way…especially since I have to marry that stuck up heir of the Uchiha clan."

"Wow, what a story… but I'm here to protect you though, I'm your body guard that's what I'm being paid to do, it'll cost you extra for a consoler" He said hurtfully looking into her eyes as she looked into his, they stayed like this for a while until Hinata delivered a powerful blow that sent him flying

Sojiro woke up and got the bandages and walked outside his tent were Naruto's lifeless form lay and he began to wrapped the bandages around his head

Naruto woke up "Stupid girls…I never do anything wrong"

Well as you can see Naruto still retains some of his Idiot traits but in a more serious manner he kind of reminds me of saosuke from full metal panic
