It had been three days since Kagome had seen or spoken to Inuyasha. Her heart was completely broken. She had no idea what she was going to do.

She knew she loved him more than anything, but was she willing to sacrifice her heart to stay with a man who insisted he could never love her?

She sat at her kitchen table drinking tea, contemplating her next move. She was afraid to call or text him. She didn't want to seem needy or anger him.

She was so confused and scared, so afraid of loosing him and the friendship they had built together. He had become her best friend and if this problem hadn't been about him they would be talking about it.

She wondered what she could have done differently that would make him love her. Her best friend Sango is always telling her to move on, find another man, one who truly deserves her.

Somehow she knows Inuyasha does deserve her and probably loves her deep down, somewhere. She soon realized he was all there was for her. She didn't care about anything but him.

As she sipped at her slowly cooling tea she heard a knock at her door. She padded over to the door and opened it, leaving the chain on just in case. Inuyasha was standing there looking a little sad and lost.

She slid the chain off the door and opened it. Inuyasha pushed through grabbing her around the waist and slamming his lips to hers in a bruising kiss.

He started moving her backward into the room and slammed the front door shut with his foot. All the while continuing his assault on her lips. He picked her up bridal style and headed off to her bedroom.

Sitting her down on the bed he started to pull her cardigan off but it wasn't cooperating. " I'll do it, its ok." she gave him a slight smile and started to undress. She felt ashamed that she was going to give in again.

She couldn't tell him no. She loved every moment she had with him, even if he didn't love her back. She looked up to see him stripping his clothes off as fast as he could.

She continued to peel off her clothes until she was down to just her bra and panties. She suddenly felt exposed and embarrassed. She had slept with him many times but somehow this felt different.

Leaving Kagome standing alone holding her robe shut with her arms around her waist. She fell to her knees and let the tears fall. What was she going to do now? She was afraid there was no way he would ever love her.

She fell to her side and cried herself to sleep. Lying solo on her living room rug.
