Sesshomaru made his way to Kagome's desk. "So this is your friend Kagome? The beautiful woman with the beautiful name. It's nice to see you again, Kagome."

Kagome felt herself blush all the way from the top of her head to the tips of her toes. She also couldn't avoid the stupid grin on her face. The type of grin a teenage girl gets the first time someone tells her she's pretty.

"It's nice to see you again too Sesshomaru. Rin want to help me put your chart on the wall so Dr Miyagi knows your here?" Rin jumped off her lap and screamed "Yeah!"

Kagome grabbed her hand and the chart and they both shuffled down the corridor. As they walked away Kagome couldn't help looking back at him over her shoulder. He gave her the briefest, slightest smile. She almost wasn't sure she saw it.

On the way back to the lobby Rin asked Kagome if she liked Pizza. "I love Pizza." She answered the girl with an enthusiastic smile. "Me too, daddy and I are going to have some after I am all done."

"Oh that sounds like fun, You have a really nice daddy." Rin smiled up at Kagome "Yeah, I know. He is the best daddy in the whole world."

As they reached the lobby Rin let go of Kagome's hand and ran toward her dad, who was now sitting in a chair looking through a magazine. Rin shimmied herself between his knees. He put the magazine down and clasped his hands behind her back. Looking up at him she placed her tiny hands on the sides of his face and said "Daddy I think Kagome should come have pizza with us. She says she likes pizza too."

"My sweet little Rin, I think that is a fine idea. So Kagome, how about it, would you like to come have pizza with us?" He was staring at her over Rin's head, his eyes were causing her to blush again.

"I would love to but I am afraid I am not off until five." She bowed her head feeling guilty for saying no to the gorgeous man and her favorite child.

Rin turned around still in her fathers grasp and now leaning back against his shoulder. "That's ok we have to go to the park first. Don't we daddy?" Rin was smiling like she knew she had won, there was no saying no now.

As Kagome opened her mouth to answer Dr Miyagi hurriedly came out and walked right passed her to Sesshomaru and Rin. "Dr. Takahashi what a pleasure it is to have you here. I am so glad you came today because I want to discuss with you rest of Rin's treatment. We have almost fixed them all just a few to go."

Kagome just about fainted. 'He's a doctor too! Oh my gods this man is just too perfect. I wonder what is wrong with him?' She almost laughed out loud after that thought.

"Dr Takahashi if you don't mind could you and Rin come into my office so we can discuss the rest of the treatments she will need?" Sesshomaru stood up pulling Rin up to his chest in one smooth motion.

He bowed to Kagome and Rin said goodbye with a giggly wave. They follwed Dr Miyagi down the hall and out of site. Suddenly a thought occurred to Kagome 'If Rin is Inuyasha's niece then Sesshomaru is Inuyasha's brother. Oh, that is rich. Inuyasha is going to be so pissed.'

She smiled bigger than she had in months. This was going to be a really good night. She was going to accept the handsome Dr's offer and have a really good time doing it.

WITH INUYASHA

Inuyasha was a complete mess. Everything in his world was wrong. He was afraid to speak to Kagome. Still stunned at his behavior. He couldn't bring himself to call her.

His work was falling apart. He hadn't been there in days and when he did go he didn't accomplish much. The anger over Kikyo and the guilt over Kagome were too much now. He couldn't eat or sleep.

Sitting in his study he tried to return some important emails that should have been answered days ago. He heard the doorbell ring and his butler answer it. A male voice asked if Inuyasha was home.

The butler said no and then a screeching female voice yelled "Inuyasha I know you are here, get out here now I have the police with me!" The butler said something and she screamed louder.

With a sigh Inuyasha decided to go investigate. Immediately the butler turned to face him when he heard him approach. "Sir, I tried to tell them you were busy, I am terribly sorry for the interruption."

"No worries Sebastian I know you did, I will take care of it. Thank you anyway." Inuyasha was incredibly angry now. As the butler walked away he turned on the two standing in his entryway.

"What is the meaning of this? I was in the middle of important business" He tried to sound like the business man he was and further establish that he had indeed been busy.

Upon deeper examination of the two intruders he realized one was Kikyo standing there with a completely wretched look on her face. 'How was I every in love with someone that cruel and cold? How can someone so beautiful be so ugly?'

The other person was a wolf demon named Koga. He and Inuyasha had gone through school together and had heard he had become a detective. Inuyasha would like to say Koga was a good guy if not for the fact he was always trying to hit on Kagome.

"I know it's here, you bastard. I am going to see that you rot in hell for the rest of your unnatural life."

Kikyo was screaming at him, she was standing so close he could feel little pieces of spit hit him in the face with each word.

"Ok that is enough. Kikyo why don't you go outside for a moment. I really need to speak to Inuyasha alone." Koga looked very tired and annoyed with Kikyo.

"You are going to jail asshole. Ha!" Koga gently ushered the woman out the door and turned to Inuyasha. "Sorry, she has been overly dramatic about this since she came into the precinct this afternoon."

"Koga, what is she talking about?" Inuyasha could feel his palms starting to sweat, he knew exactly what she was talking about and was starting to get scared.

"We have been investigating the disappearance of some priceless artifact that her and her fiancé found. It had been stolen from her apartment and we have had no leads until now." He ran his hands through his hair.

Koga, smelling fear in Inuyasha tried to calm him. "Don't panic yet my friend, I am not sure but I think Kikyo and her fiancé are trying to set you up for the robbery." Koga's brow was furrowed and he looked exhausted.

"What! How is that supposed to make me feel better? I don't want to be framed for stealing some artifact I didn't steal." Inuyasha was pacing the floor now. 'This was bad, really, really bad.'

"Look Inuyasha they never even mentioned you as a suspect before. Now she is telling us you were supposed to come to her place first thing in the morning to make some dumb wish to be human. Yeah right, like you would ever do that. She also has some thug claiming he saw you jump onto the balcony." he smiled.

"This guy clearly has all of his answers rehearsed and has no idea who you are. I am hoping with a little pressure he will crack. Once he does she won't have much of a case." He slapped him on the back and tried to sound hopeful.

"In the mean time though I need you to come downtown and answer a few questions if you would. Nothing much, you will be home in a few hours no problem." He was still smiling, but it wasn't making Inuyasha feel better.

"Let me gather my things. I will meet you out front. Thanks Koga." He tried to give Koga a confident smile but wasn't sure if he pulled it off or not.

As if things in Inuyasha's life weren't going along bad enough. The thug not only didn't crack, he identified Inuyasha as the thief and said he saw him leave with the jewel. Inuyasha of course had no alibi.

With that damning knowledge Koga had no choice but to book Inuyasha on theft charges. Giving him a chance to call someone to post bail, he went to make his one call. There was only one person he could call.
