Sesshomaru shook Kagome's shoulder and she awoke with a start. "Oh no, I fell asleep. Is he all right?" She wiped the sleep from her eyes and stared at him with desperation. "I think he is going to be fine. His demon blood should kick in and heal him now. We will just have to watch him closely" he sighed.

He got up and left the room to clean himself up. Leaving Kagome alone with Inuyasha. She turned to look at him, he was so pale. She ran the back of her finger against his cheek. It was cold and clammy, she could hear the beeping of the monitor and the sound of the breathing machine.

Kagome picked Inuyasha's hand up and placed it against her cheek. She kissed it and rubbed the back of it against her. The tears rolled down her face as she sobbed. Her shoulders shaking as she started to make hiccup noises.

Sesshomaru let himself back into the room and placed his hand on Kagome's shoulder. "We are going to have to move him to a more comfortable place." He rubbed her neck and brushed her hair from her shoulder. " He is very strong Kagome, his will to live is like no other."

She looked up at him and gave a weak smile. "I hope so, it's not his time yet. He has so much left to do." More tears rolled down her face she turned into Sesshomaru and put her head against his chest. He rubbed her back and ran his hands through her hair.

"Why don't you go to my room, lie down and get some rest. I will come in and check on you soon, all right." Kagome gave another weak smile and decided to listen to him. She was barely awake and now that he had mentioned it she realized she was exhausted.

Kagome snuggled into Sesshomaru's bed. She was so tired, but her mind wouldn't rest. Her thoughts revolved around Inuyasha and Sesshomaru. She knew she needed and wanted Sesshomaru. Her mind knew how she could be happy with Sesshomaru and Rin. But…

Her heart wanted Inuyasha and only Inuyasha. No matter how much she tried to convince her heart that she should be with Sesshomaru all she could think about was Inuyasha. She believed she could never love Sesshomaru and that her heart belonged only to Inuyasha.

Sesshomaru sat in his guest room chair watching his little brother in restful sleep. His thoughts swirling around in his head. He wondered why he even bothered to save his stupid snot nosed brother in the first place. He was always such a pain in the ass and he was the silent wall between himself and Kagome.

He had always known it. From the day he found out that Kagome used to date Inuyasha. Girls always found it easy to like Inuyasha. 'What is it about women that makes them love the bad boy, the screw up and not the man who has his life together?'

After all was said and done Sesshomaru had to admit he loved Inuyasha as much as he hated him. In a strange way he liked being needed by him. He enjoyed the fact that when things were there worst Inuyasha always came to him but he also hated it too. He did however know that no matter what he could count on Inuyasha as well to be there if he truly needed him.

He also loved the way he treated Rin. He had always treated her as his niece even from the first day Sesshomaru adopted her. Inuyasha was the first one on board when he had brought the idea of her adoption up at a family meeting. Rin would have been devastated if anything happened to her uncle Yasha.

'Inuyasha, what did you do? How did you get yourself into this mess? Why did someone shoot you and why are you wanted by the police?' Sesshomaru sighed knowing that it would be a few days before all of the answers came. He decided he needed sleep as well and went off to crawl in bed with Kagome.

Kagome heard the bedroom door quietly open and shut. She knew it had to be Sesshomaru. She was happy to hear him but also sad. She needed him right now but she knew she would be using him to be with him. She knew she would have to tell him the truth eventually.

'But did it have to be tonight. I haven't really made up my mind yet. I could still change it and tell Inuyasha to get lost.' Her stomach dropped at the thought. 'Why is this happening to me? I was so happy before he came back. Even if I wasn't in love with Sesshomaru yet I could have been one day. Damn you again, Inuyahsa.'

Kagome felt the bed shift under Sesshomaru's weight. She knew she would have to face him. She felt him snuggle up against her back and lay his hand over her waist. He didn't say a word he just snuggled up against her. Kagome couldn't believe how nice it felt and how much she needed to be held by him.

He was such a pillar of strength, she wondered how she could live without that strength. She needed his calm life so much. Inuyasha was such a train wreck most of the time. But as much as she needed the calm life, she craved the train wreck. Craved it like a drug.

The tears started to run down her face again. Damn she was tired of crying. "Sshh, Kagome I told you he was going to be fine. You might even be able to talk to him tomorrow. You don't need to cry over it anymore. " Unfortunately that made her cry even more.

With Inuyasha temporarily out of the picture she was free to keep Sesshomaru a little longer until she could decide what to do. She knew that wasn't fair but she was afraid to make a decision just yet. Sesshomaru had so much to offer. Inuyasha still reminded her of pain.

Sesshomaru pulled Kagome closer to him and snuggled into her neck. Kagome felt like jello. She let herself melt against him. Rolling herself around, she put her face in his chest and rubbed her cheek against him, wishing they could just stay like this forever.

Kagome tipped her head up and gave him a deep sensuous kiss. She wanted him and needed him right now she wanted him to help her forget having to make so many decisions. Sesshomaru leaned his head down so he could look Kagome in the eye. "What are you doing? You need some rest. We can talk tomorrow." He pulled her into him again.

"I want you and I need you Sesshomaru please make love to me, Please." She pulled her face back away from him to look him in the eye. "Please, I need you." She leaned up to kiss him again. He couldn't resist her, pulling her up to him he deepened the kiss.

Kagome slid her hand into his boxers and gently wrapped it around his member. She slowly pumped her hand up and down his length causing him to moan into her hair. She slid down the bed till her face was in front of his crotch. Pulling his boxers down and exposing him to her. She grabbed his rod and put his full length in her mouth.

Sesshomaru's mind was lost, he could no longer think. He could only focus on Kagome's head bobbing up and down as her throat cradled him. So warm, so wet, so tight. Sesshomaru knew at that moment that he was falling in love with her and it broke his heart. He knew she still loved Inuyasha. But tonight he could swear he could see love in her eyes.

She kissed her way up his stomach, neck, chin and up to his lips. Kissing him with passion and desire like she never had before. Sesshomaru was captured in her kiss and pushed her onto her back. He had to have her now. She smelled so sweet, he needed to taste her.

Her moved down her body sliding her panties down her thighs, exposing her wet core to him. He took in a deep breath making it easier to smell her sweet arousal. He crawled up between her thighs and moved his nose between her folds. Slipping his tongue deep into her core and sweeping it up to her swollen clit.

Kagome shuddered at the sweet sensation. She reached down and pulled his face away from her wet core. Her looked up at her confused. She smiled at him "I need you inside me now. Please Sesshomaru I can no longer take it. I want you now." He kissed his way back up her lithe body while removing her tank top.

He positioned himself at her entrance and started to push himself inside her. She could not wait, she pushed her hips up into him. Sesshomaru understood her need and slammed into her causing her back to arch and a muffled version of his name to squeak out of her mouth.

He started pumping in and out of her with a fury he had never felt before. He couldn't stop himself. He was pounding her hard into the mattress and she was loving it. He rarely let himself this free during sex, he usually held a piece of himself back. But this felt so good, he slammed into her hard again and again.

She cried out his name a little to loud and Sesshomaru instinctively put his hand over her mouth. He quickly looked down worried that he may have hurt her or scared her. Her face had a look of pure bliss and she slammed her hips up against his again. Sending him close to the edge.

Kagome had completely lost herself in his deep thrusts. He felt so good, so right. She was starting to wonder if she could ever leave him. "Sesshomaru, thank you for everything you did today. You are such an amazing person and I am grateful everyday that I met you. Goodnight." Sesshomaru hugged her tighter to him and whispered a small "your welcome" as they both drifted off to sleep.

Sesshomaru awoke the next morning to find himself alone. He knew Kagome must be sitting with Inuyasha in case he woke up. He felt his heart break a little bit. After the night before he had hoped Kagome felt more for him than she had before. Maybe he was wrong.

Sesshomaru decided to check on Inuyasha and to see if Kagome was with him. As he came into his brothers room he was shocked to find she was not there. His heart jumped when he saw she was not there. He got one of his slight smiles on his face as he walked over to check on Inuyasha.
