Chapter 6: Training

Kakashi Hatake laid in his hospital bed, reading his book, relaxing, and hopefully avoiding the wrath of the nurses for attempting to skip on his recovery. Suddenly his door Opened and someone walked in.

"If it's you Doctor Tenshi, my head is fine but my gown is a little tight, would you mind helping me?" Kakashi said.

"Ew Kakashi-sensei. Doctor Tenshi's like one of the only doctors who doesn't try to kill me, I see her as a sister." Naruto responded.

Kakashi lowered his book and eye smiled at Naruto, "Sorry, if it makes you feel any better, it's just a casual thing."

Naruto looked at Kakashi stupidly, "Uh, no. It does not help Sensei. In fact both mom and my gut tell me to drag your ass out of that bed and force you to marry her. In the meantime though, I was kinda hoping to get back to routine, y'know? Training with you Sasuke and Sakura."

"First, I don't think you hold enough authority over either of us to make that happen. Second, while we can't do team training since Sasuke is still out, I can do some one on one." Kakashi told his student.

"Really?" Naruto asked.

"Well it would help make up for ditching you during the Chunin Exams, wouldn't it?" Kakashi replied.

"Alright let's do it Kakashi-sensei!" Naruto hollered out excitedly.

"You just need to do one little thing for me first, alright Naruto?" Kakashi requested.

"What do you need, Sensei?" Naruto asked.

"I need you to help get me out of here. Between you and me, Doctor Tenshi is kinda draining me dry. I also have a bit of a reputation of trying to sneak out of this place so the nurses got me locked down rather tightly. Now the nurses I can handle, but Tenshi would be a little bit more difficult, so I need you to distract her for a few minutes for me, ok? I'll meet you at training ground seven in one hour." Kakashi explained.

Naruto nodded and left the room, "See ya there, Sensei!" He said as he shut the door.

Naruto wandered the halls for a few minutes before he found who he was looking for, "Doc. Tenshi, Doc. Tenshi!" He called out.

A young purple haired woman in a white lab coat turned to face the loud noise. She had silver eyes and a small scar on her brow above her left eye. Her hair was down at the moment in an A-line cut that reached her shoulders. The woman was the twenty eight year old Doctor Tenshi Katsui, head of emergency services at the Hidden Leaf Hospital. Or she was, until Tsunade and Shizune showed up and dismantled and rebuilt the Shinobi Medical Program from the ground up, resulting in her reassignment.

"Hey Naruto, how is my favourite regular patient today, hm?" Tenshi asked.

"Hey, it's only been about a month since my last visit!" Naruto huffed indignantly.

"Has it? You know, one might think you're avoiding little old me? You're not seeing other doctors are you? Don't tell me it's that young cute trauma surgeon on the third floor is it? I don't know what I'd ever do without my favourite patient." Tenshi sarcastically whined.

Naruto sweatdropped as he looked at one of his big sister figures' antics, "No Tenshi, you have nothing to worry about there. Between you and me, she kinda scares me with how much she knows about breaking limbs."

Tenshi shared a laugh with Naruto for a moment before she spoke again, "So, what brings you up to see me, Naruto? Not often you're up here voluntarily."

Naruto scratched the back of his head, "Well, I came to see Kakashi Sensei and Sasuke after I heard they were injured."

Tenshi nodded in understanding, "They both look fine, and the outlook is great. From what we can tell it's Sasuke's second exposure to the Jutsu so he's taking longer to recover, he hasn't even woken up yet. Near as we can tell though, he should be fine. Kakashi is up and almost ready to be discharged, personally I think he's just faking it for the free late night booty calls the nurses keep giving him."

"Wait! Kakashi-sensei is cheating on you!?" Naruto yelled out.

He was about to continue but Tenshi covered his mouth with her hand, "It's not that serious Naruto." Tenshi said, "Things between me and Kakashi are just casual fun here and there. I know he beds lots of women, I am more selective, but I have a few partners too. Try not to make a big deal about this Little Bro." She explained as she removed her hand from over Naruto's mouth to rub his hair.

Naruto pouted before he replied, "Alright Sis, I won't do anything like make Kakashi-sensei marry you or beat him up or anything."

Inside his head, Kushina laughed slightly at her son, while in the real world, Tenshi giggled at her adoptive brother's protectiveness.

"Who are the other guy's anyway? Gotta make sure they're good enough for you, y'know." Naruto asked.

Tenshi stopped giggling for a moment, "Who they are is my business, and who said they were all guys, hm? As your adoptive older sister, only I'm allowed to ask questions like that. So, Little Bro, any girls I should look out for?"

Naruto blushed, "Wait, not all guys?!" Naruto asked shocked and confused, at Tenshi's brutally harsh glare, Naruto just answered her question, "Um well, Mom forbids me from talking too much to Ino or Sakura, since they 'abuse' me or whatever. I don't really know Hinata that well, and Tenten was just plain scary when she asked me to teach her a Jutsu. So I think I might just try dating a civilian girl or something."

Tenshi nodded, "Wise choice, civilian girls are certainly more tame, but don't give up on us Shinobi women. Maybe Ino and Sakura are no-goes, as they do, in fact, abuse you, but most of us aren't like that, especially those of us who have been around the block a time or two. Who knows, maybe Hinata or that Tenten girl are actually super nice once you get to know them? Hell, I could even set you up on a date with one of my colleagues, they're a little older than you but that won't matter too much, A, because you'll grow, and B, as your ninja status makes you an adult anyway."

Naruto blushed, "Um no thanks, I-I'm fine thank you."

Tenshi smiled at her adoptive little brother, "Also if you want to know, while I am dating a few people right now, the only three I would consider making a relationship with are, Ayame Ichiraku, Hanna Inuzuka, and Genma Shiranui. Everyone else is just a good time for now."

"But, Ayame and Hanna are both girls though, how does that even work?" Naruto asked, still confused.

Tenshi giggled, "It just does. Love holds no bounds, Naruto. As for sex, well I'm sure you've taken Sex Ed at the academy or seen a movie."

Naruto blinked, "Uh, Not many people wanted to interact with me too much so I really don't get a lot of the personal stuff, and I skipped the Sex Ed day, I thought it was just some pervy thing. Besides, girls always yell or hit me if something even remotely pervy happens. So I've never tried to sneak into those kinds of movies and stealing them would be wrong. Even my Sexy Jutsu has nothing under it, it's just the shape of a woman based on what I can notice through clothes."

"Really? Either way, Naruto your 'Sexy Jutsu' is highly offensive to women so I get why they do. Also those girls are mostly Ino and Sakura, who both yell at you and hit you for breathing wrong." Tenshi explained in deadpan.

Naruto discreetly checked the clock and saw that it was about time for him to go so he could meet with Kakashi, "Uhhm well, thanks Sis. I think it's about time for me to go though, so see you later?"

Tenshi nodded, "Sure little Bro, but I am going to make you an appointment with Shizune, She'll teach you all about Sex Ed. I'll also have her give you a couple of videos, and since I know you don't have a T.V. in your apartment, I'll give you some money to buy one." She said as she pulled out a wad of money. She counted out a thousand dollars, "Here, it should be just enough to cover a T.V. and one of the nicer film players."

"Pervy Tenshi!" Naruto huffed, "I'm not gonna get a T.V. just to play some pervy movie! What if a girl comes over and sees, she'll think I'm a total perv and disgusting and then she'll yell and beat me up!"

"You can buy more movies." Tenshi explained, "Some movies are even super nice, when Ayame and I go on dates, it's not to fancy restaurants or nice parks, it's to her couch to watch a nice romantic movie. Also it's perfectly natural to have slightly pervy urges and own movies like that, so if she beats you up for having some, she's not the one for you."

"Um, th-thanks, S-Sis." Naruto stuttered, "I-I r-really have to go though, so um..."

"Ok, I'll set you up for this time next week." Tenshi Interrupted.

"O-ok." Naruto nodded.

Tenshi's wrist glowed slightly and she pulled her sleeve up. Written on her wrist was a sealing array, in the centre of the array was a circle and in that circle was the number two hundred forty three. The whole array glowed an angry red.

"Oh, that's not good. Naruto, one of my patients is in trouble. I have to go right now too. See you later Little Bro!" Tenshi said, as she got up and started to run down the hall.

"Bye Sis!" Naruto hollered after her before he turned to meet up with Kakashi.

Naruto rushed out of the hospital and in a single leap was on top of a roof. Now running rooftop to rooftop, Naruto could start running at a faster pace.

"She's right y'know. Having a slightly pervy side is perfectly ok." Kushina told her son, "And if you have any questions, I'm happy to help answer them."

Naruto stumbled a few steps in surprise before he answered, 'Maybe Mom, maybe. I'm still not sure about that. Don't want to end up like Kakashi-sensei or Pervy Sage.'

"They're overly perverse, and are not exactly shining examples." Kushina explained, "Doc. Tenshi or Minato and myself are probably better role models in this field."

With a deadpan sweatdrop, Naruto replied, 'I don't think parents are good examples for this kind of subject, Mom.'

"It's not like I was going to tell you stories about how you were conceived! Just give you some motherly advice and guidance if you wanted it!" Kushina yelled.

Kushina continued to explain how some perviness could be a good thing without going too far into Sex Ed since Shizune would handle that.

Naruto rushed out of the tree line and into the large training field that Squad 7 used for its primary training ground and meeting point. Standing over the memorial stone Kakashi felt Naruto's close presence and turned around.

"Took you long enough, how was your talk with Tenshi?" Kakashi asked.

Naruto scratched the back of his head while he spoke with a blush, "Well, she's arranged for me to attend a Sex Ed class from Shizune. She's also buying me a T.V. and a video player, I'm apparently supposed to get a movie from her." He explained.

Kakashi shrugged, "Well, good luck with all of that. Why do you need to take a Sex Ed class?"

Naruto looked down, "I skipped the Sex Ed day."

"Oh." Kakashi nodded, "So, now that we're here, what do you want to train in?"

Naruto looked up at his sensei excitedly, "Well, I can't do Genjutsu because I have too much chakra and it's too dense. But I can dispel Genjutsus placed on me. My Kitsune summons can use some really powerful Genjutsu and I've learned to work well with them. Mom and the foxes made sure I was up to snuff in Taijutsu so I'm about as good as an above average Chunin. I want to learn seals from mom. All of last week I was trying to get better at using mom's chakra, and all the smaller things like chakra control, survival skills, tracking, and accuracy are good. So that leaves Ninjutsu, I only know Shadow Clones, Kunai and Shuriken Shadow Clones, Chakra Chains, and Wind Style: Drilling Air bullets."

"Wind type eh? That's rare here." Kakashi mumbled, "Well, few people know this Jutsu, it was one of the two your father made, the Rasengan. I was actually hoping to teach you this. First thing you're gonna need is water balloons, here's a few bucks, try not to take too much time, oh and I want receipts." He said with an eye smile.

Naruto took the small wad of bills and ran off. He returned half an hour later with a sealing scroll. Opening the scroll and laying it out in front of Kakashi, Naruto made a hand sign and a few hundred water balloons in buckets puffed out into existence.

"Here's the receipt Sensei, I spent some of my own money on a few extra balloons." Naruto said as he handed his sensei some paper.

"...A few huh." Kakashi deadpanned. Kakashi picked up a balloon and set it in his palm, "Ok what you need to do is use your chakra to spin the water in the balloon and make it explode. One of the few tricks to this is getting the water to turn in multiple directions, the other is to know which way your chakra coils naturally align."

To demonstrate his point, Kakashi made the water balloon in his palm explode in the way he wanted Naruto to do it.

"Ok! Consider it done, Sensei!" Naruto shouted with a thumbs up, he then made a cross hand sign and shouted, "Multi Shadow Clone Jutsu!"

In an instant and a puff of smoke, hundreds of Naruto clones were in the field, They stormed forward and each took a water balloon. The clones then spread out and started on the exercise.

"Well, since you look like you got this covered for now, I'm going to sit and read under this tree over here, let me know if you need something." Kakashi said lazily as he pulled out a pervy novel and sat under a tree near the memorial stone.

Naruto nodded and continued to work.

Kakashi discreetly looked over his book at Naruto and thought, 'Can you see him, Sensei? How hard your son works. Obito, I know you would like him, you two are so much alike. I know you'd spoil him rotten Rin. I'm glad to have the opportunity to train him, to train them. The same things won't happen to them that happened to us.'

Naruto worked for nearly the whole day before a clone finally made a balloon explode. Naruto then had his clones dispel in groups of ten. Once all of his clones were gone, Naruto picked up a spare Water Balloon and walked over to Kakashi.

"Kakashi sensei I did it! I did it!" Naruto hollered.

Kakashi looked over his book and watched Naruto flawlessly destroy the water balloon. Kakashi put his book away and stood up and said, "Good job Naruto. I think that's enough for today. I'll see you at the same time tomorrow."

Naruto nodded before the combined chakra and mental exhaustion took him down like a rock. Kakashi caught Naruto just before he hit the ground. He huffed Naruto onto his back and started walking towards Naruto's apartment. Once he got to Naruto's apartment and opened the door, a small white fox sat right in his path, looked him dead in the eye, and spoke.

"Who are you? Why do you have my charge and her jinchuriki on your back?" The fox asked.

Confused, Kakashi chose to answer the fox's question, "Uh...I was training him and he pushed himself into exhaustion. I'm here to drop him off. Now I have a question for you, why are you here and who are you?"

"I'm Mimiki youngest daughter of the first Nine Tailed Fox and the head of the fox summons. I'm here to protect Lady Kushina and Naruto, her son and Jinchuriki and our summoner." Mimiki replied.

"Kushina needs protection?" Kakashi asked.

"She is having difficulties fully controlling her chakra, it's hard for her to make it do what she wants it to do with the ease she wants to have in doing it. As a result she is in a very vulnerable position right now and Naruto is not that strong either. So my mom, Moriko, assigned me to be their guard going forward until they're strong enough to protect themselves." Mimiki explained.

Kakashi nodded, "Makes sense, do you mind if I put Naruto in his bed? I imagine my back is not the best place to sleep."

Mimiki nodded and stepped out of Kakashi's way. Kakashi made his way to Naruto's room and placed the boy on his bed. Kakashi started to walk out before Mimiki stopped him.

"Uh, I've been here all day. Can you please get me some food?" Mimiki asked, semi embarrassed.

"Sure, I am a ninja hound summoner so I have some stuff on me that I can give you." Kakashi said as he pulled a scroll out of his flack jacket pocket.

Kakashi set the scroll down and did a quick hand sign. In a puff of smoke a bowl of dog food appeared.

Mimiki started to drool as the scent of the food hit her nostrils, "T-Thank y-you." she stuttered out as she was mesmerised by the food.

Kakashi had a quick chuckle and gently pet Mimiki's head a few times before he walked off and out of the apartment.

The Next day Naruto got up, got ready, got Mimiki ready, and got out the door. Naruto had a Shadow Clone go buy a T.V. and video player, and another Shadow Clone tell Gaara about the Akatsuki, as the real him and Mimiki went to Kakashi for training.

Once he got into the training ground, Naruto saw his sensei standing ready and with a few hundred rubber balls neatly stacked in a pyramid.

Naruto looked at the rubber balls and asked, "Hey Sensei, what are those for?"

"They're for your training, remember how I needed you to make a water balloon explode by rotating your chakra? Well, now I need you to do the same thing to these rubber balls. Trust me it's much harder." Kakashi explained.

Naruto took a ball from the top of the pile and tried the exercise, it exploded instantly and loudly, making Kakashi jump back slightly.

"Well, that was surprising." Kakashi deadpanned.

"I thought you said it was supposed to be hard Sensei?" Naruto asked, confused.

"Try again." Kakashi ordered.

Naruto grabbed another ball and tried again, to the same result.

Kakashi observed closely, "Ah, I see now. This was easy for you because you have such a large amount of dense chakra that increasing power is not that hard for you. Well, at least I have the receipts for those. Here's some money, go buy regular balloons."

Naruto took the money, nodded and ran off. Half an hour later he was back with the balloons.

Kakashi grabbed a balloon, blew it up and held it in his palm, "I now need you to do this."

Naruto looked at Kakashi in confusion, "I don't get it?"

"Let me show you in my other hand." Kakashi said as he performed the Rasengan in his off hand, "Your goal is to contain all of that power inside the fragile balloon. This concentrates all that power on a small area, and makes the Jutsu very damaging and destructive to whatever you use it on. This is the final and hardest step of the Rasengan." He explained.

"Ok then, Let's do this!" Naruto exclaimed as he made his clones who blew up their own balloons and got to work.

Kakashi laid back and issued advice when asked. Mimiki went hunting for some of her food. Naruto and his clones worked through the day to no real progress. The same thing happened for two more days before he completed the Rasengan successfully.

"I did it! It's finally done!" Naruto shouted to the heavens and to his Sensei.

Kakashi held a small smile beneath his mask, "Good work Naruto. Why don't you take some time off for a few days? You've earned it and Sasuke still hasn't woken up, and I have a mission the day after tomorrow I have to prepare for."

"Thanks Kakashi-sensei!" Naruto hollered with a thumbs up.

Naruto and Mimiki then left the training ground, as they got to Naruto's apartment, the pair saw Tenten leaning against the door.

"Hey Naruto, I just finished those Jutsu you taught me. So to repay you I was wanting to maybe take you out to get something to eat, you in?" Tenten said.

Naruto blinked away the temporary shock before he spoke, "Sure, I just got done training so let me just take a shower real quick and I'm yours."

'Well this could be interesting.' Kushina thought to herself.

Tenten nodded and Naruto let her into his apartment. Dropping Mimiki off on the couch, Naruto walked back into his room, gathered some of his nicer clothes at his mom's insistence, and went to take his shower. Meanwhile, Tenten decided to snoop around a little in Naruto's apartment. Tenten knew Naruto loved Ramen, but a quick look into his cupboard and she was truly surprised at how much he had. She also saw the various plants scattered throughout the apartment, and finally her eye's settled on the unopened T.V. and video player boxes.

"Since when did you get one of these?" Tenten murmured aloud to herself.

"I have a sister-like doctor friend who paid for it." Naruto said as he came around the corner behind Tenten, fully dressed and out of the shower.

Tenten, not expecting Naruto so soon jumped, "Oh, hey Naruto. That was fast. Sure you washed everything?" She asked as she turned around to face him.

Naruto smiled and gave Tenten a thumbs up, "Yep. water here's not the best, and used to cost a fortune, so I've gotten good at taking quick, efficient showers. You ready to go?"

Tenten gave a shaky nod as she finally processed what Naruto was wearing. Steel toed, black ninja sandals, Black Cargo pants, a Dark orange, skin tight, short sleeve shirt that showed his muscles and his Nine Tailed Fox broach clipped to the shirt, just above his pec. Naruto's dyed red hair was also combed semi neatly, at his mother's insistence. All in all Tenten found Naruto's look to be rather attractive.

Naruto, being oblivious to Tenten's blush and obvious signs of enamorment, led her out of the apartment before letting her take the lead to wherever it was she was taking him, "Mimiki, I'll bring you back something from where ever, 'til then you have the house, ok?" Naruto hollered out to the small fox before he shut the door at her nod.

On the walk Naruto got a little curious, "Hey Tenten? How many Kunai and Shuriken can you make?" He asked.

Tenten turned to her date and smiled, "I can safely do double my number of Kunai and Shuriken. I'm currently trying to adapt the Jutsu so it works on my other weapons too. After that I'm going to work on making it so I can triple my weapons, then quadruple." She explained, "Oh, hey we're here."

Naruto looked at the standard two story brick building in front of him, "Where exactly are we?"

"It's a place one of my friends recommended. I did a little recon and yes it has ramen." Tenten answered.

"Oh, shall we go in then?" Naruto asked.

Rather than give a proper response, Tenten just nodded. The two walked in and waited for a server to bring them to a table. After a few minutes a short woman dressed in a moderate amount of makeup and a slightly fancy Kimono walked up to them and bowed slightly.

"Greetings, my name is Yuma, I'll be your server and waitress. If you will please follow me to your table." The woman said as she turned around to escort the couple to a table.

Yuma led the couple upstairs and to one of the back corners. From this corner, one could look out a window down at the street, and on the other side another window down into the kitchens. The space inbetween a nice little table perfect for two to sit across from one another.

"Here we are, I'll be back momentarily to take your orders." Yuma said before she seemed to glide off with an elegant grace.

Tenten and Naruto both sat down at the table and made some small-talk before looking at the menus.

"So, uh, how are Neji and Lee?" Naruto asked.

"There ok for now, Lee is back in the hospital, Lady Tsunade came up with a surgery. She said it would help him, maybe even allow him to be reinstated into the Shinobi forces, but there were risks so Lee had to think about it. He ultimately decided to take the surgery and they are keeping him while he recovers. Neji has been less of an ass, In general he's been much, MUCH more tolerable to be around. Guy-sensei is still kinda weird though, don't get me wrong, he's a great sensei and all, it's just with both him and Lee together..." Tenten responded.

"...it's a bit much?" Naruto finished.

"Yeah." Tenten said as she perked up slightly, "How did you know?"

Naruto smiled, "When my team assignments were chosen, and I got Sakura and Sasuke, at first I was Kinda excited, getting Sakura. I used to have a crush on her, Mom doesn't approve of her though, she says she's abusive and mean. In my heart I do know that she's not the perfect girl, but she was my first crush and it's a little hard to let go. Mom and Tenshi, that sister-like doctor friend I mentioned earlier are both working to pry me out of that. But enough about her, then I got Sasuke, and he's kinda like Neji used to be, just more emo, and Kakashi is famous for being late to everything, so moral of the story, I kinda know how you feel."

Tenten nodded, "Hey, how are your teammates, speaking of whom? I heard there was some sort of fight with missing nin."

Naruto deflated a little, "Well Sasuke is still unconscious in the hospital, and Sakura has been by his side like a damn puppy so...that's helping me get over that crush I had. Just a few days ago, I helped Kakashi-sensei escape from the hospital so he could train me a little. But on the flip side, I learned he's having casual 'relations' with big sister Tenshi."

Tenten grimaced a little, "Yeah that has to suck, finding out your sensei is sleeping with your sister figure."

Naruto shrugged, "Well, Tenshi and I got to talk about it, she seems comfortable with it, and she's thankfully not seriously pursuing Kakashi-sensei, so I'm going to be ok with it. Shall we see what they have on the menu?"

"Yes, let's." Tenten answered.

The two picked up and scanned their menus. Looking over the various food items. Eventually the couple decided on what they wanted. After a few minutes of waiting, the couple found Yuma returning to their table.

"Have you two decided on what to order yet?" Yuma asked.

Tenten and Naruto both set their menus down and looked up at Yuma and nodded.

"I'll have the meat and eggs on rice." Tenten answered.

"I'll take your miso ramen." Naruto also answered.

"Excellent choices." Yuma nodded as she took their menus and went away to put in their requests.

After Yuma left, Tenten turned to Naruto, "Hey, Naruto?"

"Yes?" Naruto asked as he turned to her.

"I-I have a question I want to ask you." Tenten said, "I-is it true? Y-your m-mom's the, the N-ni..."

"...Nine Tails?" Naruto whispered. At Tenten's nod, Naruto continued, "Yes, she is, but not the one who attacked the village. As I said to the village during the exams, the Fourth managed to remove the old Nine Tails mind and soul from his chakra and body, then sealed Mom and the chakra inside me. Their Chakra merged and Mom became the next, new, current, whatever word you want to use, Nine Tails." He explained.

Tenten's eyes widened and she fell back into her seat, "Whoa, a-and you said your mother i-is K-Kushina U-Uzumaki, T-the Red D-Death.

Naruto smiled, "Mhm hum, yep, that's right." He nodded.

"C-can I meet her, p-please. She's kinda one of my idols, and the reason I got into Kenjutsu and Sealing Jutsu." Tenten asked.

Naruto smiled and held his fist out on the table in front of his date, "Sure, just put your fist to mine and yes."

Tenten nodded nervously and shakily put her fist in front of Naruto's, slowly she inched her hand forward and the moment her skin made contact with his, she was no longer in the restaurant. Gone was the table and gone were the people, the only thing still there was Naruto and his smiling face. In place of the restaurant was a room, it looked like a living room to a nice house, they were sitting on a couch together. Naruto sat on one side of the couch and Tenten sat in the middle.

Tenten looked around the room, admiring the aesthetic, when she turned to a doorway. Walking into the room was Kushina Uzumaki, in all her glory, nine red bushy tails and furry ears on full display.

Tenten felt her breath catch in her throat, "H-h-he-l..." She tried to say but couldn't.

"Hello Tenten, I hear I was an...inspiration for you?" Kushina asked with a warm smile, "How nice to see at least some Kunoichi in the current generations are taking worthy role models and aren't just fangirls and bullies. Aside from that, it's nice to meet you, as you know I'm Kushina Uzumaki."

"T-Ten-t-ten." Tenten whispered, unable to form or find words.

"You don't need to be so nervous girl, please, relax, I know you can speak, so you can do it." Kushina encouraged as she sat down next to Tenten on the couch, on the girl's other side.

"H-h-hello, I-I'm T-tenten, i-it-it's n-nice t-to meet you." Tenten managed to breath out.

"There you go!" Kushina praised, "Now is there anything you want to talk about or ask?"

Tenten took a deep breath, "Kind of, I was hoping maybe one day you could teach me some things?" She asked nervously.

Kushina frowned slightly, "I hope you did not seek my son out and set him up on this date, just to ask me to teach you 'some things'."

Tenten jumped slightly and waved her hands frantically, "N-no! Not at all! Yes I'm interested in advancing my ninja career and skills, but this really was a dinner of thanks for his teachings. I would never be that kind of manipulative bitch to a fellow leaf nin and comrade!" She vigorously denied.

Kushina raised an eyebrow, "Denied doing it here, but your wording implies that non-comrades and enemy ninja are fair game for manipulation. Your shock implies you're genuinely here to thank Naruto, and says that you appreciate his time and effort in teaching you the Jutsu. Your request directly states that you are interested and dedicated to your ninja career. Hmm, I'll consider your request, but under no circumstances am I teaching you anything that belongs to the Uzumaki clan."

Tenten relaxed, "Of course m'lady, I'd never ask to learn your clan secrets."

"Good, now you two enjoy your date, and please be careful afterward, I don't want grandbabies quite yet!" Kushina teased before she ejected Naruto and Tenten from the mindscape.

When they woke up in the real world, Naruto and Tenten both sported massive blushes.

Tenten pulled her hand away from Naruto's who in turn did the same, "Sorry about Mom, she's kinda like that." Naruto apologised.

"I-it's fine, I guess moms are supposed to be like that." Tenten responded.

"Guess? Do you not have a mom?" Naruto asked.

"No." Tenten answered sadly, "Or a dad, my mom died giving birth to me and my dad died a year later in the Nine Tails attack."

"I-I'm sorry." Naruto said.

"It's ok." Tenten said back.

Soon enough their food came, their conversation picked back up and the remainder of her date went off without a hitch. Naruto escorted Tenten to her small apartment, a free housing for the many Genin like her in the wake of the wars and the Nine Tails attack.

"Goodnight, Tenten." Naruto said as the girl slipped into her apartment.

"Goodnight, Naruto." Tenten said before she gently closed her door.
