"Catch me, Mama, catch me!" the blond five-year-old boy in a navy blue argyle sweater vest called to one of his moms as he clambered up the plastic slide.
"All right Ollie, you'd better watch out! I'm coming to get you!" Rachel yelled back. She bounced over to the ladder on the side of the playground and climbed up.
Oliver reversed directions quickly and slid back down, landing head-first in the sand.
"Mommy, mommy, help me! Catch Mama!" Oliver shouted. He righted himself started to run as his Mama slid down after him.
Quinn looked over from where she stood, pushing three-year-old Leah on the swing set.
"Okay Leah, are you ready to get Mama?" she asked the tiny brunette.
"Yes, Mommy! We catch her!" the girl answered, giggling.
Quinn grabbed Leah under the arms, lifted her out of the swing, pecked her on the forehead, and placed her on her hip. She moved closer to the bright orange play structure and set Leah on the ground, smoothing out the girl's purple jacket.
"Here you go, baby. You win when you catch Mama. But be careful, she's running fast," Quinn explained, kneeling down and looking into her daughter's light brown eyes.
Oliver came racing towards them a few seconds later, pursued closely by Rachel, her green coat billowing behind her. She smiled at Quinn as she passed.
"You'd better not!" she warned breathlessly.
Quinn just laughed, stepped forward, and wrapped her arms around Rachel's waist from behind.
"I got you, Mama," Quinn spoke quietly into the brunette's ear.
Rachel grinned, but as she moved to turn around and face the taller woman, Oliver leapt up, attempting to land in his Mama's arms. The sudden force knocked all three to the ground. Quinn landed on her back in the sand with Rachel and their son on top of her. Attracted to the commotion, Leah toddled over and jumped on top of the brunette as well.
"Mama! I win! Got you!" the little girl squealed, pounding her tiny fists on Rachel's chest.
"Ah, you did! I think Ollie won too, for knocking us all over," Rachel laughed.
"Yeah! I win!" Ollie exclaimed, dancing in celebration. He then jumped up and ran off to the slide again.
"Hey, I think I caught you first, don't I win too?" Quinn protested from below. Her arms still clutched the brunette tightly as they lay on the ground.
"Of course you win. You always win," Rachel answered, carefully lowering Leah to the sand and rolling over to face the blond.
"What's my prize?"
"Oh, just me."
Rachel placed a soft kiss to Quinn's lips. Quinn reached up and pushed a lock of Rachel's hair behind her ear.
"Best prize ever," Quinn murmured, hazel eyes shining. "I love you."
"I love you too," Rachel replied, before kneeling up, pulling Quinn with her, and dusting the sand off of her back.
"It's a good day when there's sand in my hair," Quinn mused, half-joking, half-serious, shaking her blond locks to loosen some of the grit.
"Mama, Mommy, catch me again!" their son's voice sounded across the park.
Quinn and Rachel exchanged smiles and another quick kiss before Rachel scooped Leah into her arms and Quinn set out after Oliver.
"I'll be catching you this time!" Rachel called out after Quinn.
"I hope you do!" Quinn responded, laughing loudly. "Catch me, baby! Catch me!"
