I was shocked at what Sam told me. While I was off "saving the word" with my flock, he had been at The School. Apparantly, Fang was a "bad co-leader" so they took Sam. He had been captured after I left. He was turned into a winged boy, like Dylan. I couldn't believe it. He had been tortured, hurt, and practically killed? When I looked in his eyes, I reached an awful realization. He had. He had been hurt, I realized. He was broken. Just like the flock, and, although I wouldn't admit it, just like me.
