No Regrets Chapter 9

Sighing deeply running a hand through her hair leaning back looking to the bags of stuff on the island counter. Wondering if Sasami needed anything else, turning glancing to all the food being cooked on the stove, some of the food was already done sitting on the counter. A few others were already out in the back yard finishing up all the last-minute touches. Thinking that Ayeka was going all out for wanting just a small simple wedding. Wishing the wedding would already be done and over with. Getting here early this morning after Hige left to go home after working last night. Wondering if she would see him tonight, not wanting to stay here any longer than what she needed to. Sighing deeply rubbing her stomach all of a sudden feeling hungry… all this food smelt so good. Glancing around the kitchen once more looking to the bags taking everything out, setting them on the counter for Sasami.

"Hi Ryoko!" Sasami spoke coming in thru the back hallway from outside. Turning her head looking to her.

"Hey Kiddo" Ryoko spoke crumbling the plastic bags.

"Thank you for bringing this stuff over, I really do appreciate it all" Sasami spoke coming up beside her looking to the few items she needed to finish the food.

"You're welcome" Ryoko spoke making her way to the trash.

"How are you doing by the way, how's the baby?" Sasami asked watching her smiling. Snickering Ryoko turned meeting her gaze.

"We're good Sasami… thanks for asking. Did you need help cooking anything?" Ryoko spoke coming up to the island counter sitting resting her elbows on the surface.

"Ommm… at the moment no. This on the stove is almost done, Noboyuki is picking up the cake on the way home since he's already in town. The rest of the stuff I can whip up tomorrow morning" Sasami spoke. Nodding her head bringing a hand up to the back of her neck.

"Sasami!" Ayeka spoke coming through the swinging door pausing for a moment. Turning her head looking to Ayeka, Ryoko paused lowering her hand from her neck.

"Ryoko, I didn't know you were here. I'm glad you are, how are you doing?" Ayeka spoke coming up holding her arms out hugging her. Arching an eyebrow Ryoko glanced to Sasami for a moment as she smiled.

"Just great Ayeka…" Ryoko spoke as she leaned back looking over her smiling. Ayeka looked so excited, well who wouldn't on the day before their wedding?

"Good, we missed you yesterday at lunch. Noboyuki is getting the cake and dinner tonight if you'd like to stay, you are coming tomorrow right? I need all the help I can get" Ayeka spoke making her way around the island counter. Sasami smiled turning to the stove reaching for a tea kettle.

"I'll think about it… and I'll be here tomorrow" Ryoko spoke reaching for her phone from her back pocket feeling it vibrate looking to it seeing Hige had texted her.

"Ya'll want some green tea?" Sasami asked.

"Sure" Ayeka spoke looking to the food on the stove turning looking to Ryoko for a moment on her phone.

"There's still time if you'd like to be in the wedding Ryoko…" Ayeka spoke. Lifting her gaze looking to her arching an eyebrow. Remembering back on the conversation this morning between Hige and her, setting her phone down looking to Ayeka as she came up sitting across from her.

"No thanks… I appreciate the offer, numerous times… but being here for the wedding itself if enough for me. No offense to you Ayeka and you know that… if it really weren't for you and the girls, I wouldn't had even stepped foot in this house…" Ryoko spoke up. Nodding her head Ayeka folded her hands on top of the island counter as Sasami glanced behind her to Ryoko.

"I know...I appreciate you sticking around… I'm sure it is a bit uncomfortable given the circumstances… is there anything I can do to help?"

"A bit uncomfortable…. That's an understatement. And no, there isn't anything you can do, this is about you, you need this just as much as anyone else would." Nodding her head, Sasami came up between the two of them setting a couple cups of tea down for the two of them turning reaching for her own making her way out of the kitchen. Reaching for her cup taking a long sip, Ryoko held the cup in her hands. She always loved their green tea.

"How's the baby doing?" Ayeka asked looking to her cup bringing it up taking a deep breath savoring the aroma.

"Good so far."

"And how are you doing? are you holding up ok?" Ayeka asked taking a sip of her tea. Nodding Ryoko took another sip of her tea.

"I'm ok...better than what I thought I'd be honestly" Ryoko spoke looking to her. Smiling softly Ayeka meet her gaze, then looked to her tea taking a sip.

Leaning her head back closing her eyes letting the hot water run over her face. Nothing felt better than a nice hot shower. Running her hands through her hair taking a step back turning the water off opening the shower door reaching for her towel wrapping it around her. Turning closing the shower door pausing for a moment feeling lightheaded. Gulping placing a hand on the shower door holding herself up taking a deep breath. Falling to her knees suddenly feeling nauseated, it felt like the room was spinning. "Shit…" Ryoko spoke trying to regain her surroundings. The lightheadedness began to get worse as her head throbbed, feeling on the verge of throwing up didn't help matters. Leaning her hands on the floor in front of her trying to hold herself up. Not wanting to pass out on the bathroom floor halfway naked only in a towel, gulping closing her eyes tightly she teleported into the bedroom. Falling into the dresser gritting her teeth reaching for some clothes. "Damnit…" Ryoko spoke leaning back a little taking a deep breath trying to get changed quickly. Letting her damp towel fall to the ground she threw her shirt over her head grabbing her pj pants slipping them on. Turning, suddenly falling to her knees almost on the verge of passing out. Lifting a hand to her forehead closing her eyes. Gulping, opening her eyes leaning back a little trying to hold the tears back. Her head hurt, terribly. Not knowing what was going on, wondering if calling Washu over here was the best choice right now or not? Texting Hige right before she got into the shower, she hadn't heard back from him, guessing he was asleep. Looking around for a moment not remembering where her phone was, pausing looking to it on the nightstand behind her next to the bed. Slowly leaning back standing up trying to catch her balance, suddenly everything went black.

Knocking on the door cracking it, Hige poked his head in looking around for a moment. A couple lamps were on, the t.v on at a low volume. Closing the door behind him slipping his shoes off arching an eyebrow looking to Ryoko's bedroom door was cracked. Wondering if she was asleep making his way to the door knocking softly poking his head in. Stopping short looking to Ryoko on the floor, suddenly teleporting over to her kneeling down gently picking her up holding her.

"Hey… Ryoko" Hige spoke. Looking over her for a moment, her hair was still damp. Lifting a hand up to the side of her face gently.

"Hey… sweetheart…. Ryoko babe wake up" Hige spoke. Sighing deeply gently standing, holding her close in his arms turning setting her on the bed. Letting his amber eyes look over her once more.

"Sweetie…" Hige spoke sitting close beside her. Reaching for her hand, her fingers were like ice. Rubbing her hand looking to her.

Blinking softly, gulping Ryoko brought a hand up to her forehead moaning slightly.

"Hey…" Hige spoke sitting close beside her. Letting her gaze look to him pausing for a moment. Arching an eyebrow, slowly sitting up as Hige reached for her elbow helping her sit up.

"You ok… I came in and you were passed out on the floor…. You didn't hurt yourself did you…" Hige asked looking over her concerned. Shaking her head softly taking a deep breath.

"No… I'm ok. I had just taken a shower and got really lightheaded and sick to my stomach...came in here to get changed and that's all I remember" Ryoko spoke lifting a hand to the back of her neck looking to Hige. Sighing deeply looking to her closely, leaning to her kissing her forehead gently.

"You ok...how do you feel now? do you need to go to the hospital?"

"No… I'm ok…" Ryoko spoke.

"Are you still lightheaded?"

"A little...I got to throw up…" Ryoko spoke suddenly teleporting into the bathroom. Arching an eyebrow Hige leaned back sighing deeply, following her.

Sipping her tea leaning back against the pillows sitting cross legged glancing to the door as Hige walked through.

"You should be at home sleeping…" Ryoko spoke. Snickering Hige ran a hand through his dark green hair coming up sitting close beside her.

"I'm off the next 2 nights off… I don't do anything else but watch the kids when I get the chance…" Hige spoke turning reaching for his cup of tea from the nightstand. Bringing her cup of tea up to her lips glancing to the time, it was almost 5 o'clock. Taking a sip of her tea leaning back a little farther, feeling a little better but still wishing it'd all go away.

"You ok love? the tea seem to be helping?" Hige asked leaning back a little, stretching an arm across her shoulders as she leaned against him.

"Yea, so far." Pausing for a moment her ear twitching, lifting her gaze hearing someone knock on the front door. Narrowing her gaze leaning up a little teleporting out of the room making her way to the door. Unlocking it opening wrapping an arm around her stomach pausing looking to Tenchi as he stood at the door.

"Really… what the hell is wrong with you…" Ryoko spoke getting pissed. Coming to the bedroom door pausing looking to the door to Tenchi.

"I don't know If I can…" Tenchi spoke rubbing the back of his neck.

"Tenchi shut up… "Ryoko spoke getting pissed.

"I would advise you to remove yourself from this property before I help you leave" Hige spoke up coming up behind Ryoko. Lifting his gaze looking to Hige, Tenchi arched an eyebrow glancing to Ryoko.

"Who the hell is this?" Tenchi asked.

"It doesn't concern you who the hell I am. Do I need to repeat myself?" Hige spoke. Glancing back to Hige, Ryoko looked to Tenchi. Starring at her for a moment Tenchi eyed Hige, gulping taking a step back.

"You come on my property again I will call Washu or call your soon to be wife" Ryoko spoke.

"Then if that's the case, why even come tomorrow. I show up to see if you are alright, to ask about our baby… and you throw me out!" Tenchi yelled. Eyes widening Ryoko tightened her jaw.

"Excuse me… Our child… you have nothing to do with me, or the child… you got what you wanted. And as far as the wedding… Ayeka invited me to come to HER wedding… I don't give a shit about you, literally. I wasted so many years waiting for you and this is how shit turns out...This man right here has been here more for me in the last few weeks than you ever had in the last 4 years! So, until you actually show me you care, rather than come running to me, because you miss me...or think you don't want to get married. You should've thought of that before you came up to the damn roof that night" Ryoko spoke, getting mad. Turning his head Hige watched her for a moment, lifting a hand setting his hand on her back.

"I'm sorry Ryoko… I never meant for any of this to happen" Tenchi spoke.

"Yea, well me too… this has got to stop…" Lowering his head Tenchi turned making his way down the sidewalk to the cab that was parked behind her car. Slowly turning his head Tenchi looked back to Ryoko.

"Will I see you tomorrow?" he asked. Eyeing him for a moment resting her hand on the door Ryoko sighed deeply.

"Yes Tenchi…." she replied, closing the door locking it lifting a hand up to her forehead. Glancing to the door, then to Ryoko.

"I think that boy is confused… he doesn't know what he wants" Hige spoke.

"You can say that again." Wrapping her arms around herself making her way to the couch stopping short looking to Washu appearing in the chair off to the side.

"For the love of…." Ryoko stopped sighing deeply.

"Well hello to you too… Hi Hige" Washu spoke.

"Lover boy was just here, you just missed him" Hige spoke making his way across the room to the couch.

"Wha...who?" Washu asked crossing her legs looking to Ryoko.

"Take a guess" she replied plopping down on the couch beside Hige.

"Tenchi?"

"Yup."

"Really… what the hell was he here for?".

"Started off saying he wasn't sure about the wedding… can you put some type of force field around my house to keep him away? or a leash to keep his ass at home?" Ryoko asked leaning her elbows on her knees. Snickering Washu glanced to the TV as a commercial came on, turning her head back to Ryoko.

"I'm sure I can...you can't fix stupid… I'll mention something nonchalantly to Ayeka or Yosho about it" Washu spoke.

"What are you doing here anyways?" Ryoko asked.

"I wanted to do an upgrade on your laptop for a new program I'm using" Washu spoke. Sighing deeply Ryoko leaned up teleporting into her bedroom. Leaning back against the couch Hige glanced to the TV for a moment as Washu looked to him.

"She ok?" Washu asked.

"Yea, just been a long day...she's not feeling very well" Hige spoke meeting her gaze. Watching him as he spoke arching an eyebrow, turning her head as Ryoko appeared back into the living room up near Washu holding out her laptop grabbing it.

"Thanks" Washu spoke watching her as she walked out the coffee table holding her cup of tea in her other hand.

"So, what you both up to for the rest of the night?" Washu asked opening the laptop turning it on.

"Nothing" Ryoko spoke looking to her for a second sipping her tea. Leaning up Hige reached to his pocket as his phone started ringing looking over it for a second.

"I'll be right back…" he spoke looking to Ryoko for a moment standing up making his way towards the kitchen answering his phone. Leaning back against the couch as far as she could holding her cup of tea.

"You feeling alright?" Washu asked typing rapidly on the laptop glancing to her.

"Yea." Coming to a stop Washu starred at Ryoko for a moment as Ryoko meet her gaze.

"What?"

"Lair…" Washu spoke glancing to the laptop.

"Did Hige tell you?" Ryoko asked arching an eyebrow. Stopping abruptly Washu looked to Ryoko.

"No… you just did...what happened?" Washu asked. Rubbing her forehead growling under her breath Ryoko sighed deeply.

"Nothing."

"Well, something had to have happened if you thought Hige said something… what happened?" Washu asked leaning forwards setting the laptop down on the coffee table.

"It was nothing…" Arching an eyebrow Washu leaned her elbows on her knees crossing her arms.

"Ugh…. I got really lightheaded and a bad headache earlier, I wound up passing out…" Ryoko spoke looking to her cup of tea.

"...Hige found me on the floor… I'm fine before you start worrying. I didn't hurt myself" Ryoko spoke looking to her mother.

"Really….and you didn't bother telling me? what if you did hurt yourself? you wouldn't had known because you passed out. How do you feel now?" Washu asked. Coming back through the kitchen Hige looked to the both of them pausing for a moment.

"I'm fine, really" Ryoko spoke, glancing to Hige as he came up beside her sitting back down looking to her for a second than looked to Washu.

"Did I interrupt…." he asked.

"Next time she passes out let me know, she could've really hurt herself."

"Hige asked if I needed to go to the hospital, but I feel fine… you know I usually let you know if something is terribly wrong" Ryoko spoke.

"Alright… are you still feeling lightheaded? what were you doing when it happened?".

"I had just taken a shower and then it hit me. I'm alright now." Narrowing her eyes Washu starred at her for a moment. Returning the stare Ryoko sipped her tea. Hige leaned back a little looking between the two of them for a moment.

"I'm still a little lightheaded…and this nausea isn't going away either" Ryoko spoke looking to her cup for a moment as the two of them looked to her. Watching her for a moment Washu leaned back into the chair crossing her legs.

"Alright...do those nausea pills help any?"

"Sometimes."

"My sister stayed nauseated the whole time she was pregnant with the twins to the point she was put on bed rest remember I told you… I always worry about that with you" Hige spoke looking to Ryoko.

"Keep tabs on it, take it easy for the next few days." Sipping her tea Ryoko eyed her mother.

"Don't give me that look… you've been through a lot and being pregnant with what shit you went through puts you at high risk Ryoko, and you know that" Washu spoke.

"I know…" Ryoko spoke sighing softly. Leaning a little closer to her Hige wrapped an arm around her shoulders as she leaned into him a little more.

"Next time please tell me, I don't care if it's a damn hunger pain. Not just for the baby's sake, but for your sake "Washu spoke. Taking a long sip of her tea Ryoko meet her mother's gaze nodding softly.

Ordering pizza, Washu decided to hang around for a bit. Not long after dinner deciding to lay down for a bit feeling lightheaded once again. Hige set the left-over pizza in the fridge as Washu crumbled up the pizza boxes.

"You think she's gonna be ok?" Hige asked looking to Washu for a moment across the kitchen.

"She should… this pregnancy has been nothing but a nuisance for her the whole time. She tends to let things be rather than putting herself first" Washu spoke making her way to the stove pulling the bottom shelf out reaching for the tea kettle.

"I know, I can tell" Hige spoke making his way to the island counter sitting.

"Tea?" Washu asked.

"Sure" Hige spoke watching her for a moment. Grabbing the water pitcher from the fridge as she started her green tea, exactly like Yosho's.

Cuddling beneath the sheets gulping trying to hold the nausea down. Getting really sick of being sick, Ryoko sighed deeply wishing it'd all just stop. She was thankful she was pregnant, regardless of the circumstances. This was a chance to have something, she had really truly wanted. A child...but this constant feeling sick to her stomach was taking a toll on her. Bringing a hand up to forehead sighing deeply cuddling beneath the sheets once again, suddenly teleporting to the bathroom.

Leaning back resting her elbows on her knees covering her face with her hands taking a deep breath trying to calm down. The nausea began to make her stomach hurt. On top of the lightheaded-ness and headache, wrapping her arms around her knees lowering her head in her arms hoping this wasn't turning into something that happened 1 to many times before. Closing her eyes tight trying to hold the tears back, tightening her arms around herself as she started crying.

"This is good, thank you" Hige spoke holding his cup.

"Thanks, this one of my favorites" Washu spoke turning away from the stove holding her cup. Taking a sip, Hige paused arching an eyebrow lowering his cup. Looking to Washu for a moment, she set her cup down disappearing. Teleporting into Ryoko's bedroom looking around for a moment Washu made her way into the bathroom. Kneeling down beside Ryoko Washu placed a hand on her shoulder.

"Hey…" Washu spoke. Tightening her arms around herself Ryoko tried calming down, but the nausea seemed to come back full force. Coming up to the door Hige stopped.

"Sweetie what's wrong" Washu asked. Not saying anything Ryoko couldn't hold the tears back. Coming up around Washu Hige leaned down in front of her placing a hand on her knee. Glancing to him for a moment Washu looked to him smiling softly. Leaning to her Hige wrapped his arms around her as Ryoko leaned into him.

"It's ok love…" he spoke softly leaning his head against hers letting his arms wrap around her, leaning against him as she cried. Looking over them for a moment, Washu knew. Smiling softly suddenly disappearing. Taking a deep breath Ryoko started to calm down a little.

"I'm sorry…" she spoke softly.

"Sorry for what… you have nothing to be sorry for" Hige spoke. Leaning back a little Ryoko lifted a hand rubbing the side of her face. Running a hand up and down her back Hige leaned his head against hers. Appearing into the bedroom Washu made her way to the bathroom door holding a cup of green tea.

"I don't want to lose the baby…" Ryoko spoke up. Coming to a slow stop Washu looked over the two of them.

"I know sweetie… I don't want you too either. I don't want you staying by yourself babe… " Hige spoke glancing to Washu as she kneeled down beside the two of them holding the cup up.

"Here, this might help a little. It's Yosho's recipe" Washu spoke up. Reaching for the cup of tea Ryoko took a long sip leaning back a little gulping.

"Hige's right, I don't want you here by yourself. Granite the two of us knew something was wrong at the same moment, but one of us being here with you will make me feel better" Washu spoke sitting cross legged. Glancing to her Ryoko wiped a couple tears away with the back of her hand.

"You can stay with me if you'd like, you know your more than welcome too" Hige spoke. Shaking her head Ryoko looked to her cup.

"No…" Ryoko spoke.

"Just think about it hun, no one's making you" Washu spoke. Nodding her head softly Ryoko took another sip of her tea.

"Let's get you off the floor love" Hige spoke.

"I feel like if I move, I'll puke or pass out again…" Ryoko spoke. Looking over her for a moment, Hige scooted over sitting close beside her leaning against the wall. Bending her knees slowly Ryoko held her cup leaning close against him.

"You know, the more I see you two together, the more I think you two are meant to be" Washu spoke smirking as Ryoko eyed her for a moment.

"I got to go do a couple things at the house… I'll be over in a little bit. I'll see if I can come up with something for the nausea and lightheadedness" Washu spoke leaning back standing up, suddenly disappearing. Sighing softly tightening his arms around her wrapping his other arm around her.

"You ok..." Hige asked.

"Yea." Sipping her tea taking a long sip resting her head on Hige's shoulder.

"It's alright babe…" Hige spoke kissing her head holding her tight.

Cracking the bedroom door behind her quietly turning wrapping her arms around her glancing around the living room for a moment. All the lights were off but the lamp near the couch. Glancing to the clock above the T.V stand it was almost 11 o'clock. The two of them crawling in bed falling asleep, rolling over waking up wanting a drink. Feeling a lot better, Washu brought over a new type of medicine that seemed to help her feel better, both with the nausea and feeling lightheaded. Deciding to let Hige sleep making her way into the kitchen fixing her black tank top about her waist wearing a pair of black pajama Capri pants. Flicking the kitchen light on letting the swinging door close behind her coming up to the fridge looking inside. Hey Ryoko spoke up telepathically to Washu reaching for a cold green tea drink turning, flinching as Washu appeared beside her on the other side of the fridge door.

"Really… do you have to do that?" Ryoko asked looking to her mother closing the fridge door.

"Sorry...habbit, you ok?" Washu spoke.

"Yea, just wanted to tell you that medicine seemed to help" Ryoko spoke turning as she made her way to the island counter.

"Good… what are you doing up?" Washu asked making her way sitting across from her.

"Wanted something to drink" Ryoko spoke opening her green tea taking a long sip.

"Hmm…" Washu spoke looking to her for a moment. Setting her tea down running a hand through her hair resting her elbows on the counter.

"Thank you for earlier" Ryoko spoke looking to Washu.

"You don't have nothing to thank me for… I'm your mom, that's what I'm supposed to do. You know I really think Hige likes you… hell you won't even let me hug you like that and I'm your mother!" Washu spoke. Eyeing her Ryoko reached for her drink once more.

"Well, I'll let him slide...isn't that what boyfriends are supposed to do anyways?" Ryoko asked snickering as Washu arched an eyebrow.

"Boyfriend huh… so you two are dating than?" Washu asked as she smiled. Laughing a little Ryoko took a sip of her drink.

"Well about time. I'm telling you, he's a keeper… you should've seen the look on his face when the two of us knew something was wrong."

"Yea...he's texted or called me when I was sick before...it's like he's got a 6th sense…"

"He's in-tuned to you, that's a good thing. Bout time you have someone who treats you like you deserve" Washu spoke. Looking to her drink nodding her head softly.

"Yea…. well I'm going back to bed" Ryoko spoke leaning back a little more as Washu saluted than vanished. Sighing deeply reaching for her drink turning making her way out of the kitchen turning all the lights off heading back to bed.

Blinking slowly, cuddling beneath the sheets taking a deep breath. Looking to Hige laying beside her on his back still asleep. Looking over him for a moment leaning up on her elbow, slowly sitting up looking across the room. The air felt nice and cool, the dark curtains still closed. Crawling out of bed quietly not to wake Hige teleporting into the bathroom. Running a hand through her hair coming up to the sink leaning her hands on the sink. Glancing over her reflection for a moment, sighing deeply as her stomach growled. Not realizing she was as hungry as she was, thinking to herself wishing today would get over already.

Pausing for a moment looking through the kitchen window above the sink, it was raining. The sun was just beginning to come up, just now noticing the sound of rain on the roof. Smirking, maybe the wedding would be off?! Fat chance, knowing Ayeka she had more than 1 plan A. Turning the coffee pot on looking for her favorite coffee cup glancing to the time on the microwave. Arching an eyebrow, it was just 6:12 a.m. Wrapping her arms around herself glancing to the coffee brewer as it started brewing. Wondering what to make for breakfast rubbing the back of her neck coming up to her coffee cup as it finished grabbing it with both hands.

"Do you ever sleep in?" Hige asked coming through the swinging door. Turning her head looking to him as he stretched his arms above his head, wearing a pair of dark gray charcoal pants with a black sleeveless shirt.

"Guess not" Ryoko spoke holding the cup of coffee out to him as he grabbed It.

"Thanks love" Hige spoke sitting to the island counter as Ryoko reached for another cup.

"Feeling any better?" Hige asked sipping his coffee.

"Hmm… what are you doing up?" Ryoko asked glancing to him making herself another cup of coffee.

"Don't know" Hige replied taking a long sip of his coffee.

"You still going to the wedding?" Hige asked.

"I guess… I know Sasami mentioned needing some help with the food" Ryoko spoke turning holding her cup pausing a moment taking a deep breath of the aroma.

"Don't overdo it…" Hige spoke up looking to Ryoko as she came up sitting across from him.

"I don't plan on it" she spoke.

"What do you got planned for today?"

"I don't know, might catch up on some work, at least get ahead a little. Maybe go visit my mom" Hige replied.

"The kids ain't coming over?" Ryoko asked glancing to him.

"Nah, I think they are next weekend. Nicolia is off this weekend. Was thinking all of a sudden maybe you'd like to come meet my mom sometime" Hige spoke. Pausing looking to him suddenly arching an eyebrow. Snickering Hige sipped his coffee setting it down.

"Wasn't implying anything. Was just making a statement since I mentioned her" he spoke.

"Does she know about me?" Ryoko asked.

"Hmm, she actually can't wait to meet you, nor my stepdad" Hige replied.

"Why?"

"Hmph, I don't know. My mom is a people person she can talk to you till your blue in the face."

"Sounds like my mom" Ryoko spoke looking to her coffee.

"What does she think about me being pregnant with another guy's kid?" Ryoko asked looking to Hige.

"Nothing… what can she say? my stepdad took us in when we were kids, look at my sister. She loves kids, if Quint and the twins aren't at my house, they're at my mom's. She's already been asking me if you knew what you were having yet, asked if you needed anything, asked about a baby shower…" Hige spoke smiling as he shook his head.

"Anyone throws me a baby shower I'll burn everything" Ryoko spoke eyeing him grabbing her coffee. Pausing Hige held his cup meeting her gaze. Arching an eyebrow Ryoko returned the look.

"She didn't…"

"No, I'm joking…" Hige spoke laughing a little.

"Why don't you want a baby shower?"

"Because I just don't."

"It does come in handy with people buying things you need."

"I don't want any of it, nor the attention…" Ryoko spoke looking down to her cup.

"Already been noted hun" Hige replied.

"Have you started buying anything for the baby yet… thought of any names?" Hige asked taking a sip of his coffee.

"No…" Glancing to her for a moment, smiling softly holding his cup.

"Well maybe I can take you out to get some stuff, if you'd like" Hige spoke. Wrapping an arm around her stomach sipping her coffee.

"I guess, it wouldn't hurt" Ryoko spoke. Smiling Hige taking a long sip of his coffee.

"Sounds like a date huh?" Hige asked. Lifting her gaze to him, Hige winked smiling. Smirking, shaking her head Ryoko finished off her coffee.

Appearing into the kitchen, pausing looking around arching an eyebrow. The kitchen looked like a bomb went off. Sasami and the others were nowhere to be seen. Walking up to the island counter setting a couple bags down, looking around the food that was set out, pots and pans. Looking out the kitchen window it was still raining. Teleporting to the back porch seeing the girls and Noboyuki outside grabbing the rest of the stuff from outside. Turning teleporting into the living room Ayeka and Tenchi rushed around putting up everything from outside.

"Looks like you all are having fun" Ryoko spoke making her up to the chair grabbing the string lights all tangled up. Turning his head glancing to her Tenchi looked to Ryoko.

"Oh, good you're here, we could use the help" Ayeka spoke wrapping the last of the string lights in her hand around the railing to the stairs.

"Didn't anyone watch the weather… it's been raining since early this morning" Ryoko spoke looking to the strand of lights in her hands, trying to untangle them.

"Yea well, I didn't think it was supposed to rain all day" Ayeka spoke coming up to the couch grabbing some more decorations. Shaking her head sighing deeply Ryoko laid the untangled strand of lights along the back of the chair glancing to Tenchi as he looked to her.

"I wanted to hang those over the walkway" Ayeka spoke pointing as she looked to Ryoko, then to Tenchi.

"So what time are we starting this thing than?" Ryoko asked folding her arms across her stomach. Wearing a pair of blue jeans with her black flip flops and a black v neck t shirt.

"I wanted to start by 2" Ayeka spoke.

"You better not have her doing anything Ayeka" Washu spoke appearing outside of her lab door looking over the 3 of them.

"Wha… I'm not little Washu" Ayeka spoke, seemingly more surprised than usual. Eyeing her for a moment Washu watched her for a moment than looked to Ryoko making her way into the kitchen. Looking to the kitchen door it swung open as Kiyone and Mihoshi walked thru.

"Ryoko!" Mihoshi yelled running up to her hugging her tightly with am oomph almost knocking her over.

"Hi to you too Mihoshi" Ryoko spoke, sighing deeply trying to pry her arms off of her.

"Hey Ryoko" Kiyone spoke looking to her, grabbing a hold of Mihoshi trying to pull her off of Ryoko. Taking a step back Ryoko fixed her shirt wrapping her arms around herself. Looking around the living room to the décor, seeing there was a lot that needed to be done.

Coming up to the island counter sitting holding a small meat and cheese sandwich in her hand Ryoko sighed deeply hearing the girls talk among themselves in the other room. Already being here for 2 hours, it felt like nothing got done, it was already noon. Looking to her sandwich, finishing it off teleporting to the fridge grabbing a soda.

"This is taking forever… "Sasami spoke walking in through the door. Snickering Ryoko looked to her making her way back to the island counter.

"At this rate they'll be married without even knowing it" Ryoko spoke opening her soda sitting.

"Yea tell me about it" Sasami spoke coming up to the stove stirring the soup.

"Thank you for bringing over the rest of the stuff, did you make you a plate, are you hungry?" Sasami asked.

"I'm good for right now" Ryoko spoke taking a sip of her drink.

Leaning back against the chair looking over Kiyone and Mihoshi. Wearing the bride's maid dress's… yea they were pretty… but they were purple. Strapless flowy, purple...dresses. Placing a hand over her mouth to keep from laughing Ryoko crossed her legs arching an eyebrow as Kiyone looked over to her.

"Now I see why you didn't want to be in the wedding...purple is not, my color" Kiyone spoke looking down to her dress than back behind her to the mirror.

"I like it, it's so soft" Mihoshi spoke twirling around a little smiling.

"Of course you would Mihoshi" Kiyone spoke eyeing her.

"Black would've been better" Ryoko spoke.

"No, maybe red" she spoke smiling.

"Ha, ain't that right" Kiyone spoke shaking her head making her way across the bedroom sitting on the bed looking to Sasami as she walked out of the bathroom.

"I kind of like the purple" Sasami spoke looking the others, then down to her dress. Her dress was the same color but the style was a little different.

"That's actually cute on you Sasami" Ryoko spoke looking over her.

"Thanks, Ryoko" Sasami spoke smiling looking over to her.

"Where's little Washu?" Sasami asked looking around. Shrugging Ryoko wrapped her arms around herself leaning farther back into the chair. Appearing in front of the door Washu appeared holding a tray of teacups for everyone.

"Ayeka needs help when you all are done" Washu spoke grabbing a cup of tea handing one to Ryoko.

"I'm getting so excited" Mihoshi spoke as Washu came up to her and Kiyone handing them both a cup of tea. Rolling her eyes taking a sip of her tea Ryoko reached for her phone from her back pocket looking to the text message Hige texted her.

Ayeka actually made a beautiful bride. Her dress was long, flowy, silk fabric. It was a beautiful strapless dress that came down to her feet laying behind her. Embroidery laid about the top bosom part reaching to the back. Wearing her gold Jurai crown upon her forehead, her hair laid curled with the veil attached at the top laying back gently on top of her hair. Glancing over her Ryoko finished off her cup of tea standing up from the chair across the room teleporting down into the kitchen for another cup. Thinking back on Tenchi earlier, only seeing him long enough to say hi, she left the room not wanting the atmosphere to get awkward, at least not any more than what it was. Pouring herself some ore tea setting the kettle down lifting the cup slowly to her lips. Placing her other hand over her stomach softly, letting her fingers rub over what baby bump she did have. Taking a deep breath wishing this would be over with already, it was already 2 o'clock. All the girls were so excited, even Nobuyuki ran around like a little girl. Yosho just minded his own business, making his own get away when the girls wanted to get dressed disappearing out to the shrines for the next what seemed like 5 hours. Getting changed Tenchi stayed up in his room with his father until all the girls were ready to start this thing. Wrapping her arm around her stomach taking another sip of her tea turning looking around the kitchen. All the food was already laid out. Sasami out did herself… making some type of Japanese traditional soup, ham and cheese sandwiches, not even knowing half of the other items that took up all of the counter space. The cake laid on the island counter with decorations around it. The cake was a 2 tier, off purple, almost like a periwinkle color. Japanese cherry blossoms laid all around the cake. A waterfall scene laid in the front. Surprisingly, it was actually a pretty cake. Wondering what flavor, it was Ryoko leaned back against the counter sipping her tea, it was still warm from the kettle. Feeling tired all of a sudden, turning her head looking to the coffee brewer in the corner. Coffee did sound good about right now. Leaning up off the counter coming up to the end of the countertop turning the coffee pot on.

"Having fun yet?" Washu asked appearing into the kitchen making her way to the sink setting the tea tray down in the drain board.

"I'm just bursting with excitement" Ryoko spoke eyeing her mother sipping her tea. Snickering Washu yawned widely stretching her arm above her head glancing around the room for a moment.

"She's just about ready" Washu spoke lowering her arms looking to her daughter. Nodding her head slightly Ryoko took another sip of her tea.

"You holding up ok?" Washu asked. Nodding her head meeting Washu's gaze finishing off her tea.

"Yea. That medicine seems to really help" Ryoko spoke turning as she rinsed her teacup out in the sink making her way back to the coffee brewer.

"Good, you know you have a baby bump" Washu spoke smiling looking over her. Eyeing her suddenly Ryoko looked back to the coffee brewer pressing the start button.

"I think it's cute" Washu spoke up. Shaking her head sighing deeply trying to bite her tongue as Washu snickered.

"I'll let you know when their done" Washu spoke turning, teleporting out of the room.

The ceremony, once it started went really well. Nobuyuki walked Ayeka down what isle they had come up with in the living room. Sasami, Kiyone and Mihoshi stood as brides maids across from Tenchi as Ryo-ohki sat on Sasami's shoulder cha-wooing most of the time smiling. Yosho marrying the two of them, that's all she wrote. Tenchi and Ayeka were married...Deciding it was a good thing it was her rather than herself Ryoko thought. The two of them going on a weeks worth honey moon starting tomorrow out to the beaches of Tokyo in a beach front pent house hotel room thanks to Noboyuki. Glad this thing was finally over, texting Hige on and off. Sasami putting the finishing touches on the food, everything was ready. Ayeka and Tenchi made their rounds first with the girls behind them making their plates. Nobuyuki and Yosho stood off to the side talking about the wedding, glad their last of kin was finally married. Well, almost next to last of kin. Sitting crossed legged in the chair that laid off to the side of the couch holding her coffee cup Ryoko took a long sip, glancing to the others. Nothing seemed to out of the ordinary, other than the fancy clothes and the ginormous amount of food. The wedding went better than she had thought… Ayeka seemingly a bit frazzled at the start, but once things got going, it went pretty smooth and turned out to be a nice little wedding.

Finishing everything up, helping to a certain extent helping Sasami clean the kitchen. Taking all the decorations down Ayeka and Tenchi began packing for their trip. Making a couple left over plates Ryoko appeared in her living room looking around for a moment. Making her way into the kitchen glad she actually had some of Sasami's food to bring home. Putting the food up suddenly yawning widely turning as she turned the coffee pot on teleporting to her bedroom to get changed.

Sitting on the couch holding her coffee, sighing deeply glad the day was finally over with reaching for the remote turning the TV on glancing to the clock on the wall above the T.V stand, it was already after 6 o'clock. Taking a long sip of her coffee holding the remote leaning back against the couch leaning her feet on the coffee table. Texting Hige letting him know she was home and in 1 piece, writing her back that he was glad. Making sure it was alright if he stopped by once he left his moms house, Ryoko didn't care. She had nothing to do anyways. Taking a long sip of her coffee starring at the TV for a moment, glancing around the room thinking. Actually wanting to get out of the house for a while, wondering if she should wait for Hige, but she wasn't sure how long he'd be before he got here. Sighing softly taking another sip of her coffee leaning back against the couch deciding to wait till Hige got here.

Typing rapidly on her laptop leaning back sitting on the couch looking over the screen. Holding her laptop on her lap, her feet up on the coffee table Ryoko glanced to the T.V than back to her laptop. Sighing deeply feeling more bored than anything. Setting her laptop down to the side of her on the couch teleporting into her bedroom making her way to her dresser reaching into her top drawer looking to the money Washu had gave her. Biting her bottom lip, grabbing a few bills putting it back in the drawer closing it turning reaching for her wallet on her nightstand putting her money away. Her ear twitching, turning her head as someone knocked on the door. Teleporting into the living room making her way to the door opening it as Hige stood on the porch at the door looking to her smiling as he saluted. Smirking Ryoko took a step back as he made his way in the living room closing the door behind him.

"Hey Love" he spoke looking to her, Ryoko meet his gaze as he leaned to her kissing her forehead.

"Hey" Ryoko spoke.

"What you up to?" Hige asked as Ryoko made her way to the couch reaching for her laptop sitting as Hige followed her.

"Nothing really. You wanna get out of here for a little while?" Ryoko asked looking to Hige for a moment. Arching an eyebrow Hige leaned back against her.

"The wedding go that bad?" Hige asked.

"No, just… for once I wanna get out the house for a bit" Ryoko spoke. Smirking Hige looked over Ryoko for a moment shrugging.

"Sure… what did you have in mind?."

"I don't know, did you want to go out?."

"Well I thought we already were…" Hige spoke. Eyeing him Ryoko smirked running a hand through her hair.

"A course we can, you don't have to ask me twice" Hige spoke smiling as he stood up. Holding a hand out as Ryoko placed her hand in his standing.

"Shall we M'lady?" Hige asked looking to her as she stood close up beside him. Smiling softly Ryoko leaned against him a little wrapping her arms around his neck. Gently kissing him softly.

"Hmm, I like that" Hige spoke leaning his head against hers for a moment. Taking a deep breath Ryoko leaned against him a little more, as far as she could go. She could smell his cologne, he smelt so good!.

The rain had subsided to a light drizzle, raining all day long. Deciding to head to the mall, realizing she needed to get out of the house, for herself some. Standing close beside Hige wrapping an arm around herself holding a cold coffee in the other hand.

"Are you hungry?" Hige asked glancing to her as they walked.

"No, I'm still full from the wedding… I got 2 plates of leftovers at the house" Ryoko spoke. Smirking Hige glanced around at a couple of the shops than looked back to Ryoko. Glancing back to him arching an eyebrow.

"What?" she asked. Shaking his head smiling leaning a little bit closer to her as he wrapped an arm around her.

"Nothing love… hey there's a baby store up here" Hige spoke nodding his head motioning to it.

"No" Ryoko replied eyeing him.

"Why not?, what woman doesn't love baby stuff?" Hige asked looking to her. Eyeing him once more Ryoko sipped her coffee.

"Ok ok...goodness. Why don't you like any of it?" Hige asked. Starring at her drink for a moment. Knowing she was going to have to start buying stuff soon or later, but she didn't even like looking at baby things.

"I don't know… " Ryoko spoke. Tightening his arm around her Hige leaned to her kissing her head for a moment.

"There's a candle shop… games… an awesome movie shop up here" Hige spoke looking around for a moment. Sipping her coffee looking around for a moment than looking to Hige.

Sitting across from Hige, leaning her arms on the table between the two of them scooping a spoonful of her ice cream sitting in front of her on the table taking a bite. Savoring the vanilla, toffee and caramel flavor looking down to her bowl.

"So, I was thinking…" Hige started talking a bite of his chocolate and strawberry ice cream. Pausing with her spoon in her bowl lifting her gaze looking to Hige arching an eyebrow.

"Nothing bad, I promise hun" Hige spoke snickering shaking his head.

"..Next weekend the kids wanna stay over… My mom, mentioned having a little get together, BBQ thing Saturday afternoon?, what ya think?."

"This isn't just a way for me to meet your parents it is?" Ryoko asked starring at him.

"Seems like a coincidence I know, but it isn't I swear. Think about it.. I'm off 3 days next weekend so, and my sister's kids have been asking about coming over." Looking back to her ice cream, knowing she was bout to meet his mom and step dad sooner or later anyways.

"I mean I guess...I ain't doing nothing anyways" Ryoko spoke shrugging.

"Hmm..last resort kind of thing huh?" Hige asked grinning.

"I didn't say all of that."

"I know love, we'll play it by ear ok." Nodding her head softly Ryoko took another bite of her ice cream. Lifting her gaze eyeing him for a moment Ryoko looked to Hige.

Calling it an evening after stopping by a couple more stores Hige opened his door walking through leaning over turning a lamp on off to the side of the door as Ryoko followed closing the door behind her. Deciding to come over to Hige's house for a while Ryoko had dropped her bags off at her place getting changed into something comfy. Wrapping her arms around herself glancing over the living room once again, it still looked the same, minus the kids. A couple lights were left on. Slipping her shoes off, looking across the room to the time, it was already almost 10. How could it be that late? The two of the not long making their way upstairs deciding to watch a movie. Laying close beside Hige as he wrapped an arm around her, not realizing how tired she truly was until she actually sat still it didn't take her long to fall asleep.

****Falling to the floor hard, turning to her side Ryoko held her arms around herself as she tried to keep the tears at bay.

"Get up!" a voice towered over her. Gritting her teeth leaning up on an elbow gulping hard. Suddenly her mind went blank, he had took control over her. Slamming her up against the wall hard, holding a hand over her throat.

"Despise me again like that and I will kill you" Kagato spoke, almost growling as he held her against the wall. Blinking a couple times, Ryoko gulped trying to shake off the mind control.

"I'm already in hell so what's the difference?" Ryoko asked. Snarling a little, Kagato leaned back letting Ryoko go almost throwing her to the floor.

"Do you enjoy treating me like this… your fucking slave… to do all your dirty work huh?" Ryoko almost yelled turning as she looked to him kneeling on her knees.

"I'm sick of this shit… you've already took two… two pregnancies from me… the last two years of my life you've used me for anything and everything you can think of… enough!" Ryoko spoke, gulping as tears formed in her eyes. Kagato stood their, starring at her as she spoke.

"Why… " Ryoko asked, a couple tears ran down her face. Suddenly disappearing Kagato appeared coming up in front of her kneeling down.

"Because my dear Ryoko… you are my puppet… you are mine, forever. Even when I am gone, I will haunt you in your dreams" Kagato spoke, his amber eyes looking over his glasses to her. Narrowing her eyes Ryoko starred back, taking a deep breath.

"There's a special place in hell for people like you…" Ryoko spoke. Snickering Kagato chuckled as he lifted a hand taking his glasses off as he looked to her.

"As same to you my dear, you aren't little miss perfect either. Who are you to judge huh, look at what all you have done."

"Yea by your hand you bastard" Ryoko spoke arching an eyebrow.

"Still blood on your hands, not mine. All those children that burned in the orphanage remember?" Kagato spoke. Narrowing her eyes Ryoko bit her bottom lip.

"Yea and you failed to realize while you were busy taking over my mind, they all escaped without you even noticing, you really think I would've let you make me burn that place down with all of them in it… your sick" Ryoko spoke.

"Just like the two fetuses you had that I took away from you huh… " Kagato spoke. Striking a nerve, Ryoko reached a hand out as she slapped him hard across the face. Starring at him Ryoko gulping blinking the tears away. Chuckling Kagato still leaned down in front of her, turning his head slipping his glasses back on his face as he looked to her.

"Big mistake…." He whispered.

"Fuck you" Ryoko spoke. Leaning a little closer to her Kagato reached for her chin, letting his fingers hold her chin tightly.

"Fine… this otta be fun my dear. You will be Mine until I break you of that foul mouth..." Kagato spoke, suddenly disappearing with her in tow. Taking complete mind control over her, as Kagato had his way with her, in more ways than one, and more than Ryoko could handle… ****
