Welcome back everyone for an update for Kitsune Rook. It's been a minute but I am not dropping this story so no worries. Let's cover some reviews before we dive in.

Even if his parents had temporary bodies since they were only spiritual representatives of them set to help Naruto in emergency situations, an evil piece from Venelana could give them one strong enough to give them permanent forms that become exactly like their original forms.

My Response is: Well…I suppose I am a bit predictable aren't I? Even if you all know what's coming I hope you can enjoy it still after all it's just a step along the path for this story as we have more things coming as well.

Arc: Breakthrough

Chapter 12: Reunited

Kuoh

Naruto opened his eyes and smiled softly as he felt the now familiar warmth of his bedmates beside him. Waking up embraced by the soft nude bodies of both Rias and Akeno would be nothing more than the fantasy of most young men, or really most men in general. For Naruto though it was just an average morning. Albeit one where he managed to slip from the soft embrace of Asia to enjoy a late night with the two older girls.

As he stirred to full wakefulness his only frustration at the moment was that he couldn't properly enjoy another round with the two girls beside him. He wasn't supposed to be having sex with them in his current condition anyway, but it wasn't exactly easy to turn down the blatant invitation of a threesome with two of the most beautiful girls he had ever met.

Sadly this morning he wouldn't get to spend anymore time playing with them even though he wished immensely that he could. Instead, he was scheduled to be picked up by Grayfia soon and escorted to meet with Lord Ajuka once more. This time alongside with a couple of the other Maou and Lady Venelana as well. The conversation two days before had made it clear that today could be actually quite dangerous.

After all, they had all learned that there were several fail safes built into Naruto's seal that could have incredibly adverse effects on both him and Kurama. That was only with a rudimentary understanding of fuinjutsu as well. As much as Naruto and Kurama could offer up their knowledge to Ajuka and the others, it was all second hand knowledge.

Ajuka had both said that it was fine and impossibly complex stuff in the same sentence, so Naruto wasn't sure on how nervous he should be. The genius Maou didn't fill him with all that much confidence, but Rias' mother and brother were far more capable of inspiring Naruto's faith in the man.

After sleeping on it now though, he wanted to come clean and involve both Rias and Akeno in the entire ordeal. He couldn't though. Not right now. Not only would they insist on being fully involved which would throw Ajuka's plans for the day into turmoil, but they also were set to have a meeting with emissaries from the church.

It was rare enough for members of the divine side to be crossing the aisle so to speak, but this was being extensively underplayed by Heaven to the Underworld leadership as something best left to their representatives on the earthly plain. This of course meant the Church was sending representatives from its major denominations to meet with Rias and Sona.

Both Sirzechs and Serafall would have preferred to be there themselves but they had jointly decided they couldn't coddle their sisters any longer and after getting information on the representatives being sent, they deemed them manageable by Rias, Sona, and their peerages. Unfortunately Naruto would be unavailable for obvious reasons, though none of the peerage knew why and Rias was agitated by that fact.

"Mmm, you're awake? Did we not tire you out enough last night?" Akeno taunted him.

"Hmm, you two were a lot more tired than I was. Dealing with Gaspar's training and whatever has had Kiba messed up must have taken it out of you both." Naruto replied.

"Or you are just a stamina monster." Rias joined into the conversation as she pressed a good morning kiss to both of her lovers' cheeks.

"Maybe that helped a little." He chuckled before gently separating himself from the two beauties, getting a pair of sinful pouts pointed his way.

"Not titillating enough for you anymore, Naruto?" Akeno asked.

Naruto raised an eyebrow before pointing at his very clear erection. "You two could probably get me hard by bumping into me in the hallway, we don't have time to fool around today though."

"Aww, surely there is something we could do. Even if you are in a rush." Rias said as she began crawling along the length of the bed causing the blankets to fall away and her perfect body to be revealed alongside Akeno.

"I, uh really you know I shouldn't keep your mother and brother waiting, Rias." Naruto tried to stay strong.

"Well, even if we can't play out the full act, at least we can help you with your…" She flicked her eyes to his cock that was now standing at full attention.

"You, don't have to-" He began before the incredibly soft left hand of Akeno slid across his length and took a tentative grip near the base.

"We're supposed to take care of our juniors and our lovers right?" Akeno said as she began pumping her hand slowly.

Naruto had no response as he felt three more hands begin taking places either align his cock or cupping his balls. As long as he didn't get dragged into a full session it would be fine right?

The tender kiss on the very tip of his dick by Rias sealed the deal.

"Well, if you have to. I'm sure we can squeeze a little fun in." Naruto mumbled.

"Good boy." Rias said as she backed off to let Akeno take the first turn of trying to swallow him down.

Laboratory Complex 2-212

Underworld

Naruto chuckled nervously at the knowing and unamused looks of Venelana, Grayfia, and Ajuka. At least Serafall and Sirzechs seemed to have enough humor to go around.

"Sorry, I'm late, I got held up in Kuoh." Naruto weakly claimed.

"I'm sure you did." Venelana said with a roll of her eyes. She was really just playing it up. She was happy that Naruto and the rest of the peerage were enjoying life as young devils. They had responsibilities but they weren't all consuming yet so she hoped for them to enjoy it all while they could.

"Without any more hang ups I think it would be best if we got started on the procedure." Ajuka said.

"You make it sound like he is undergoing surgery." Serfall pointed out.

"I wish this operation was as predictable as a simple surgery. We are interfering with a sealing array that we don't fully understand that is not only intertwined with the subject's very own soul and life force but is connected to at least three others, one of which is also connected to it through their very being. Add onto that the fact that traveling between dimensions and alterations to the subjects beings has damaged and altered the array from it's original purpose and capabilities…" Ajuka rambled.

"Excellent motivational speech, old friend." Sirzechs deadpanned to his best friend.

"Were you motivated by that? I was trying to terrify you all into realizing just how much I have no idea what I am doing here." Ajuka replied.

"Haha, but you really do have some idea, right?" Naruto asked, trying to hide his worry.

"Just follow me and we can get started, I made sure to alter the bed so it was far more comfortable than the typical hospital bed someone might lay on." Ajuka said as he led the group further into the lab.

"You do have some idea of what you are going to do, right?" Naruto asked again but was still ignored as Ajuka rambled on about the many experiments he had conducted in Laboratory 2-217 only for Serfall to correct him saying that they were in fact in Laboratory 2-212.

"Hmm, how unfortunate. 2-217 is my lucky lab." Ajuka frowned.

"What about this one?" Naruto asked, finally getting the Maou to hear him.

"I actually don't usually use this one anymore. Never had a single successful experiment here. Damnedest thing too. I mean in the exact same conditions the same experiments worked at 2-217. That's why it's my favorite." Ajuka said as he continued to lead the way.

Naruto turned to look at Venelana with mild terror in his eyes. The woman simply patted his hand gently and began pushing him along after Ajuka.

"No need to be superstitious, Naruto." She hummed warmly.

"We are magical devils in the underworld. Superstition is our existence." He argued.

"Enough, you have already disrupted our schedule with your tardiness. We need to get this over with, we all have plenty of paperwork to get back to." Grayfia sternly told him.

"Oh, yes sorry that I am getting in the way of some sort of requisition forms or something." Naruto hissed, but was dragged along to the room either way.

Once settled onto the bed Ajuka had him remove his shirt before laying back so that they could easily see where the seal would be.

"Go ahead and channel some power for me, Naruto." Ajuka said as he eyed the boy's abdomen in the same way he had eyed an untold number of previous test subjects. It didn't help the already tense Naruto at all but he had come this far and honestly at this point what other path did he really have to follow?

He channeled his chakra through his body as if he was preparing to mold it into a form for a jutsu, but instead kept the chakra circulating throughout his body in an active state. The black symbols that formed the seal on his stomach began to appear before solidifying into a mark like a tattoo. Ajuka gently poked and prodded the boy while taking down notes as all the rest of the room remained silent and let him work.

"You told us previously that you can enter a sort of mental plane to meet with your tenant. Essentially within the seal." Ajuka said as he continued to try and translate some of the markings that he was unraveling with his magic.

"Yeah, it's like a tunnel with a big cage or cell or something that Kurama is kept in. It's kind of flooded and falling apart." Naruto explained.

"No doubt a mix of both yours and Kurama's mental status and your seal degrading due to the alterations and damages it has suffered." Ajuka explained offhandedly.

"So, can you undo the seal, preferably without killing me?" Naruto asked.

"Oh most definitely, the issue is what other effects will occur. It will no doubt awaken whatever other tagalongs you have tucked away in your mind. Whether they truly be your parents or not. That will likely be our first issue. If they are in fact your parents' consciousnesses sealed away moments before their demise at the hands of Kurama, we might have some obstacles to unlocking the seal and liberating him."

"So, what I have to do is just like, explain what's going on to them?" Naruto asked.

"Not exactly. While I can't say I know precisely what you will face when the seal begins to unlock, if it is your parents, they may believe that freeing Kurama will lead either to your death or immense destruction. Either way they probably will not be accepting of such an idea. Furthermore there is the issue of energizing them all long enough for us to complete the ritual to reincarnate them. We already know that what feels like hours within your mindscape can be as brief in reality. However, attempting to give them form in our world through nothing more than your power will be incredibly taxing on all of you and to do it even for the moments long enough to reincarnate them will be…troublesome." Ajuka expressed the first bit of discomfort he had shown since they met this morning.

"You have been just the most spectacular of guides today my friend." Sirzechs, forced out through gritted teeth.

"So I am on a pretty tight time table then. Convince everyone that everything is fine and they need to leave the seal with Kurama while dumping as much power as I can into them to keep their souls from fading before they can be given evil pieces." Naruto summed up.

"Yes, also without dying as yours and Kurama's energy intermix and burn you alive from the inside out." Ajuka said with a smile and a nod, happy that Naruto was picking up what he had been trying to say. He seemed to either ignore or not hear the sound of the other four adult devils slapping their foreheads into their hands.

"Great…just great. When do we start?" Naruto asked.

"Oh, right now if you wish. You will have to step into your seal to begin the process. It appears that whatever key perhaps could have been used to open the seal is useless now. It's changed too much from it's original form as far as I can tell. Like a lock that is broken but stuck in the door." Ajuka helpfully explained.

"Alright then. Wish me luck." He told the others getting sympathetic nods and reassuring smiles.

WIth that the world around him faded away and he found himself in a familiar dark damp tunnel.

Kuoh

"What do you mean you met the delegates already?" Rias asked in sheer terror that one of her pawns could have just ruined possibly the most important diplomatic moment she encountered so far.

"Oh, well uhm, you see one of the people they sent was an old childhood friend, who I totally thought was a boy this entire time by the way. You know that kid in that picture I showed everyone when we were having dinner at my place the other night." Issei stammered out quickly. Initially he was really worried about having done something wrong but his mind turned to the failed attempt to get some of the girls from the peerage to stay the night.

Instead he had ended up in the same bed as Matsuda and Motohama with Aika tucked in teh middle of their uncomfortably close sleeping arrangement. Evidently Asia had stayed with Koneko and Rias and Akeno and both spent the night with Naruto…again. Lucky bastard.

A very short moment where the electrical signals running through his brain connected at just the right places to not be thinking about the jealousy he felt toward his junior for having both of the senior girls no doubt rocking his world. Instead it recalled the specific photo he was talking about to Rias, or more specifically the reaction of Kiba to that photo.

"You know there was something else too. The girl she was with had a sword with her. Well, at least I am pretty sure it was a sword. She had it all wrapped up in some sort of paper. It started me thinking about that sword that Irina's family had, and the way Kiba was staring at the picture." Issei said, causing all of the newer members to glance at Rias.

More than likely they would have been staring at Kiba, but for a little over twenty-four hours now he had been missing. Well not entirely. They knew he was still in Kuoh and had even sent them a text to reassure them he was fine, but was evidently sorting some stuff out. Rias wasn't pleased but she didn't want to piss him off by jumping into the middle of the situation either.

This revelation about the swords changed things though. Rias and the more experienced members of the peerage all had no doubt that the object the second girl that had visited Issei's home had was a Holy Sword. Just like they now knew the one in the picture that had bothered Kiba so badly was.

"Thank you for bringing all this to me, Issei. You did a good job." Rias said warmly, causing the pawn to grin widely.

"Akeno, Koneko, retrieve my knight. He and I need to have a talk before our visitors arrive here in person." Rias ordered.

The two disappeared after their comrade while Rias turned to face the others. She put on a smile and sent Aika and Asia to bring Sona and her peerage to the clubhouse. They had previously agreed to have the meeting with the church representatives here as it had been newly rebuilt with an extensive network of magical defenses. If things did turn into a fight, Rias wanted every single advantage. Especially if they had indeed brought Holy Swords into the equation.

Within a couple of hours they were all gathered in the clubhouse and awaiting their visitors. Kiba had some bad news. Evidently Freed Sellzen was loose in Kuoh and the Orthodox representative for the Church had run into them alone. The priest was dead and Sellzen was running around with an Excalibur blade.

Perfect.

It was too late to do anything about it now though. The two remaining church representatives were already on Kuoh Academy's campus and both Sona and Rias had commanded their peerages to speak nothing of the death of the Orthodox representative. They would be playing dumb until they managed to get their hands on Sellzen. Otherwise it would look like they were ambushing Church representatives which was just asking for trouble.

"You all know how to act. We expect the best from you, but let me just stress the point one more time. Your actions here reflect on not only our peerages and families but on all devilkind. Do not give any reason for us to be pointed at in blame for some dispute. Is that understood?" Sona said as she adjusted her glasses.

The group voiced their agreement and waited as Rias and Sona's familiars led the two young exorcists into the clubhouse. The environment was stilted and tense as the two girls settled into one of the couches available. The majority of Sona and Rias' peerage stood at the sides of the room while Akeno and Tsubaki each took a place behind and to the side of their respective king as they took seats across from the members of the church.

"Thank you for agreeing to speak with us today." One of them began. "My name is Xenovia-"

"And I'm Irina Shidou." The much more pleasant of the two girls happily stated.

"It's fascinating to me, why followers of God would want to meet with a devil." Rias said, causing Sona to clear her throat beside her.

"What she means to say is, it isn't common for representatives of the Church to interact with representatives of the Mauo in such a way." Sona said with her typical clipped businesslike tone.

"I know it does seem random, but it's really not." Irina began.

"Of course it isn't. Something like this is never random. I doubt you are here to check on the local church though. Unfortunately several Fallen Angels and their followers desecrated it so they could use it as their own base of operations in the area. They have since been handled. If you wish to reclaim the church though it will need to be reentered into negotiation with someone a bit higher up the chain." Rias explained.

"We aren't here for that, though we did notice what had been done. We'd gotten some information about what had happened though nothing specific. If you were present, maybe you could fill us in?" Zenovia asked.

"I'm afraid not." Sona said simply as she adjusted her glasses leaving the two members of the divine faction to wonder if she meant they weren't present or couldn't fill them in.

"Well, lets not waste too much time then. As you should likely know the Church has six Excalibur blades. Two for each prominent denomination. Three can still be accounted for within the Church, but the other three were stolen by Fallen Angels." Irina explained.

Sona and Rias exchanged a look, both wondering why the Fallen seemed to have been making more plays so recently and so close together. For beings that lived for such long periods of time performing such bold action within a span stretching over less than a year was practically unheard of in recent memory.

Of course, beyond this brief glance neither king let any of their thoughts slip and simply turned their attention back to the church's representatives.

"The blades we carry are some of them. They are all made from shards of excalibur and this one is mine." Xenovia said as she presented the cloth wrapped blade for the others in the room to see. "It's the Sword of Destruction."

"And this one is mine here." Irina said, gesturing to a small ornamental piece of cloth on her arm. "It's Excalibur Mimic."

"Well, what exactly is it you want us to do for you today?" Rias asked.

"Stay completely out of it." Xenovia replied sternly. "This is between us and the Fallen Angels. Let's just keep it simple. We don't need the devils in this town to get involved and make the situation worse than it already is."

"That sounds dangerously close to an accusation." Rias said airily.

"It does indeed. You don't intend to lump us in as collaborating with the Fallen after they were so recently causing problems in our territory do you?" Sona asked.

"Perhaps they fear we will side with the Fallen Angels and stop them from obtaining their Holy Swords once again. After all strategically it would be in our interest if neither of your factions had such blades to wield against us." Rias pointed out.

"We wouldn't presume such things." Xenovia forced through gritted teeth making it clear she did in fact presume such things. "However, we feel it would be best if you weren't tempted. Devils are creatures of desire after all."

"So are humans in my experience." Sona said with a frown as she crossed her legs.

"Perhaps those who do not follow the path the Almighty established for them." Xenovia replied.

"Xenovia…" Irina tried to calm her comrade down.

"One of our members has gone missing, do you perhaps have any knowledge of his whereabouts here in Kuoh?" Xenovia changed topics abruptly.

"Why would you think that we would? More finger pointing from the Church or do you have some kind of evidence of wrongdoing to show for your rather unfounded accusations?" Sona said coldly. Rias beside her was clearly pissed at the attitude the blue haired girl had. She was the guest here and should show the proper respect to her hosts.

"Accu-no, no accusations." Irina said worriedly trying to play peacemaker.

"As one of you already said it would be a better plan for you to keep the Holy Swords out of play by any means. So I am simply trying to warn you should we find you have interfered on behalf of the Fallen or against us I will destroy you with these Holy blades you all fear so much." Xenovia threatened.

"You have a very odd way of asking permission to search through our city." Rias snapped.

"You misunderstand, we aren't asking for permission. This was a courtesy. Nothing more." Xenovia said as she stood to leave with a very apologetic Irina in tow.

Rias and Sona were both livid, but remained silent as the girls began to leave. Unfortunately Xenovia stopped near the door as she stared at Asia. The intense look of disgust she sent the younger blonde's way had Rias on her feet in an instant and her and Akeno already moving toward the bishop's side.

"I hadn't thought that a journey all the way to Japan would lead us to you. Asia Argento. Then again I suppose it makes sense that I would run into a witch in a place such as this." Xenovia said with an obvious sneer.

"What the hell is so wrong with being a witch?" Aika mumbled from Asia's side.

"Oh it really is her. The former Saint that became a witch. I heard you were banished because you healed Fallen Angels and Devils. You must be a pretty strong healer. I didn't think you would actually ever become a devil yourself though." Irina chirped happily, much more like she was making friendly conversation than dredging up some of the most painful memories that Asia had.

The devils from both peerages were tense and ready for a fight though they held back. Despite the young woman's words she hadn't made a single aggressive move since coming in and so was thereby under the protection of Rias and Sona still.

"Do you still worship our God, Asia?" Xenovia asked.

"Don't be silly, she's a devil now." Irina scoffed.

"No, that doesn't always mean what you think it does. There are those that continue to remain pious in the midst of their own selfish betrayal. She seems to be one of them." Xenovia said as she continued to stare Asia down.

"You wouldn't be talking to her like that if Naruto was here." Issei practically hissed. Jealous as he often was of the younger boy, he knew Naruto handled shit around Kuoh, especially when it considered someone he cared about. Hell they purged the town of Fallen Angels pretty much solely because he was close to Asia.

He had a soft spot for her which meant that if he knew they stood by while this chick talked down to her, well pissed would not properly describe that level of anger. So it was actually out of a weird convoluted sense of self preservation that all three of the perverted trio stepped forward with very clear hostile intent.

Rias and Akeno stopped them though, which angered the boys a little. They felt like things were lining up here. They were helping out a peerage member and it wasn't just cause they wanted points with her to try and get into her panties.

Sure they figured if she felt so thankful, that she might look at them with a little interest, no harm no foul, right?

The girls of the Church ignored the boys as Irina directly asked Asia if she did still believe in god causing the blonde to tear up slightly.

"I do. I've believed in God this whole time." She whimpered out in the face of essentially betraying her faith.

"Then you should allow us to execute you this instant." Xenovia said only to step back in shock as the floor in front her burst into disintegrating fragments.

"You've said your piece, now go search for your swords before I lose my patience and my dear big brother has to sweep your ashes under the rug, bitch." Rias snapped. Sona was a bit surprised but after recollecting herself, she backed Rias one hundred percent. No one would be laying a hand on their peerages today.

"It's best if you both leave. While you still can." Sona insisted.

"Very well. Keep what I said in mind, Asia." Xenovia said as she and Irina turned and quietly left the clubhouse from there.

After they were gone Rias sighed and pulled Asia off toward one of the bedrooms in the clubhouse. They needed some time to talk and hopefully console the girl. Naruto would have been better for such a role, but of course he wasn't here at the moment.

Not for the first time today, Rias was wishing that whatever he was doing with her brother could have waited. She needed his support with the situation with the Church as well as with the threat of more Fallen in the area and Freed Sellzen running around. Thankfully Kiba wasn't running off though and hopefully she could handle bolstering Asia's spirits.

The rest of the peerage dispersed. Isse had a contract with the weird middle aged guy again, this time they were going fishing for some reason, but he didn't mind. The contracts with him were the easiest and most successful the new devil had had so far.

Naruto's Mindscape

Underworld

Naruto stood before the gates of Kurama's cell. On the other side Kurama stood in his humanoid form impatiently awaiting his freedom.

"Here we go I guess." The blond said as he reached up like he was gripping something before forcing both magic and chakra into the seal to open it.

The pain was instant and overwhelming but Naruto and Kurama both grit their teeth and endured it. They had no real choice in the matter right now after all. Pushing onward Naruto tried to form a sort of buffer with his demonic power to keep their energies from mixing. It wasn't fool proof or honestly, all that efficient, but it did give them both a small sliver of relief.

However, as the first of the two presences began to solidify in his mindscape, Naruto had to split his focus in too many directions to keep the barrier up effectively. Without a single word the first presence reached out to try and stop Naruto from opening the seal even gripping his wrist and attempting to pull his hand away.

"No, it has to be opened." He said flatly as he slapped away the now fully formed man's grip with his free hand.

"You don- what happened to the seal. Naruto, you have tails?" The fragment of Minato paused as he tried to understand everything that was going on. He'd planned on being present if the seal ever deteriorated to the point of needing to be forcibly tightened. Things clearly weren't going how he planned at all.

"So you're really my dad then. That shit is crazy." Naruto said as he sweated under the strain of the mixing energies as the last layer of the seal peeled away and the final presence formed beside them all.

"Minato? What the hell is going on?" Kushina asked as she looked between the three men in front of her. As her mind caught up with her though she lunged forward and wrapped the younger blond up in her arms.

"Oh you are so grown up and handsome! Look at you!" She cried just happy to hold her son.

Naruto didn't fight the embrace and wrapped his arms tightly around his mother before feeling his father join the hug. He felt the love they both had for him in a way only chakra could properly project and he couldn't stop the few tears from escaping his eyes.

"I can't believe it's really you guys." Naruto softly mumbled.

"Naruto, remember what Ajuka said, the longer we spend here the weaker their forms will be when we try to bind them to the evil pieces. If you want to be able to do all that hugging crap after today you need to get to it." Kurama reminded him.

"Who the hell are you?" Kushina asked bluntly.

"Uhh, I think that is Kyuubi." Minato commented.

"What? Why is it out of the cage? We have to reseal it now before its chakra fully blends with Naruto's. He isn't ready for that!" Kushina panicked.

"Stop!" Naruto said as both of his parents turned back to face him.

"It will all be explained in a moment just when the people outside try to reincarnate you into evil pieces. Accept it, alright." Naruto said before, forcing his blended chakra and magic into the forms of Kurama and his parents and creating spectral forms for them outside of the seal.

He immediately felt all the damage from the mixing power of his and Kurama's as well as the incredible strain of making something incorporeal corporeal for even just a moment.

The devil's stood around the room on edge as the teen on the bed convulsed faintly and became drenched in sweat. It was clear that he was struggling with the mixing energies as well as the strain on his body, however, what felt like a long exchange within his mind passed in an instant in reality.

A moment after he became strained three semi-transparent figures formed around him standing on the floor.

"You each know what you are doing, I recommend you hurry." Ajuka suggested quickly as he tried to keep the damage being done to Naruto by this act to a minimum.

"Right, Mister Kurama here. Become my Queen piece!" Serafall cheered, causing the flickering form of rhs Kyuubi to pale. Begrudgingly he let the piece sink into his chest.

Within a moment his form solidified and he gasped in shock and exhaustion as he collapsed. As it turned out, becoming a living being once again was a strenuous process.

Minato and Kushina didn't receive new forms as quickly, Venelana instead strode forward with two knights and two rooks at the ready.

"I know you don't understand what is going but I can make it to where you can live again. All you have to do is accept this contract and absorb these into your bodies. Then you can live and be with your son. From one parent to another just accept this please." She said while pushing the pieces toward the ghostly man and woman.

"Time is short." Ajuka warned as their forms began to flicker.

The two dead Shinobi took a glance at their pained son and without any more hesitation took hold of the pieces and placed them against their chests. Just like with Kurama both suddenly found their forms to be completely physical before collapsing from the sudden change to their very existence.

"How is he Ajuka?" Sirzechs asked as he stepped up next to the table, avoiding stepping on the unconscious devil's on the floor.

"He is in pretty rough shape but together we are purging his system. Once the mixed energies are gone, he will need a few days of rest and healing, then he will be right as rain. I'll need to do the same for Kurama most likely but his recovery will likely be longer." Ajuka replied as he continued to operate the magic circles hovering over Naruto.

The devils sighed in relief as Naruto slowly stopped twitching in pain and his breathing became easier. He eventually fell asleep, needing the rest from the strain but Ajuka was happy to report that his body was purged of all foreign energies.

"Grayfia if you could let Rias know that it will be a few days before Naruto returns." Sirzechs asked.

"Of course." She bowed her head.

"Let's purge Kurama of Naruto's chakra and get all four into some comfortable beds. We will have some tense discussions with a couple of them I'm sure." Ajuka said as he turned his attention to the redheaded man on the floor.

Kuoh

The peerages had spread out across Kuoh to keep an eye on what the foreign factions were up to on their turf. Neither side had made any open moves since Kiba had been forced to confront Freed Sellzen, however that just made the devils all the more worried about what they were not seeing.

It was clear that the two exorcists sent by the catholic and protestant factions of the Church had located their slain comrade by now, they also thankfully had come to the proper conclusion that it was the Fallen Angels and their supporters that had slain him and not any of the devils in the area.

For Rias her biggest concerns were centered on her peerage though. Kiba was keeping it together but only barely as the sheer presence of Holy Swords within Kuoh had him chomping at the bit to try and destroy them. Akeno and Koneko as well as a couple girls from Sona's peerage were part of his group in keeping an eye on the town so Rias hoped they would be able to keep him focused and stop him from going awol and making a mess of things.

Sadly she was postponing helping Gasper until everything else was handled. The bishop had been more than happy to be sealed back into his room even if it had broken her heart to do it. Thankfully now that she knew about Aika had been frequently visiting to keep the boy company.

Rias paused at that thought, stopping in the middle of her paperwork and frowned. A moment later she shook her head and put out whatever thought she had of the younger girl was doing in there. It couldn't be anything bad…she hoped.

That of course left her to think about her other missing piece. Grayfia had told her that he would be gone for a few days more, if only to recover. To recover. That had been the words that she had used but refused to elaborate further on. Sirzechs was also screening her attempts to contact him, something he only ever did when trying to keep something from her.

She wanted to be back home getting to the bottom of that, but with a possible battle between the Fallen and Divine brewing in her streets she couldn't risk stepping away. At the moment she was forced to take Grayfia's words at face value.

"Rias." Akeno stepped into the room causing the redhead to look up from her desk.

"Something to report?"

"Unfortunately, yes. We have a better idea of who we are dealing with now. Issei and his group approached Irina. You would be proud of him. He used his childhood friendship with her to get her to cooperate a little and give us some better information." Akeno said with a smile.

"Sounds manipulative." Rias replied.

"Yes, I knew you'd approve."

"Akeno, what did we learn?" Rias asked with a sigh.

"You're being no fun again. I'll come back to the clubhouse to fix that later, but on to business if you insist. The one responsible for Kiba's troubles is the one commanding Sellzen and the other rogue exorcists in the region, Valper Galilei."

"Wonderful. I'm guessing there is more bad news?" Rias sarcastically asked.

"The one commanding Galilei is a Cadre Fallen. Kokabiel." Akeno said much more seriously.

"Is this information being shared with Sona and her people?"

"Tsubaki was there when Issei passed it to me. They should know everything that we know." Akeno nodded.

"Good, we need to start preparing for something serious here in Kuoh. Kokabiel's involvement is going to make this even more messy than I could have imagined." Rias said.

"What do you want us to do?" Akeno asked.

Rias paused for a moment and thought hard on that. In the end it was best to continue as they were until she and Sona could come to a consensus on something to do. They might need to begin preparing to contact their siblings as well. This could easily all spill over into something they had no hope of controlling.

"Keep patrolling the town as you were, I need to meet with Sona. She and I will figure something out, with both Gasper and Naruto out of the picture, our firepower is diminished but I expect Sona will feel the same as me. We will try our best to contain this all without involving our elder siblings or families. I imagine the Fallen expect us to go running to them if something goes wrong and I won't be a part of the plan that ambushes my big brother." Rias said as she stood and prepared to leave to meet with Sona.

"Alright, but we should be ready to call for help Rias. I don't think we're ready for something or someone like Kokabiel." Akeno replied before teleporting away to pass the word on Rias' orders.

"True…but I still want to try." Rias replied to the now empty room.

Gremory Estate

Naruto slowly came around as he felt better than he had in quite a while. As he awoke he noticed Grayfia putting on a bra at the foot of his bed and despite a rogue thought imagining things he quickly realized she had been healing him.

"Wait. Did it work?" He groaned out with a voice thick from sleep.

"Oh, you woke up already. You're a couple days earlier than Ajuka had expected but since you're all healed up, I suppose it makes sense that you would wake up early." Grayfia said as she fastened her bra and began getting dressed in her normal maid style clothing.

"I appreciate that." Naruto said trying to not so subtly memorize the look of the woman before she had her bra on. He might respect her immensely but she was a beautiful woman and he was a teenage boy after all.

"I bet. Now, you were wondering if it worked?" Grayfia asked, getting a nod as a reply.

"Luckily it did. Your mother and father as well as Kurama were all reincarnated as devils. Unfortunately as you already know, reincarnation with an evil piece is a rough experience for most. Especially so if you are another race. It is even more so if you don't initially have a physical form, at least according to Ajuka."

"But they are fine and everything?"

"As far as we can tell. Serafall has already grown a bit attached to Kurama, so she has been performing his healing while he sleeps. Your parents are both in perfect health but it's unknown when they will awaken. Do you mind?" Grayfia explained before turning her back fully to him to show the laces along the back of her dress.

"No problem." He mumbled as he leaned forward off of the bed and began tying the laces to Grayfia's dress. How much he wished She wasn't Sirzechs wife. The man had treated him like family since practically the moment they had met so he felt bad about wishing such a thing. He at least consoled himself that he wouldn't betray the man's trust like that, both in a mix of self preservation and respect.

"You need to get dressed as well. Since you are awake there are a few tests that Ajuka wants to run just to make sure everything is fine and to see what the effects something like this has had on you and your abilities. I expected a couple more days until you awoke but if you are up to it we might as well get it out of the way." Grayfia said as she stepped away from him the moment he was finished.

"Ah, okay. Sure sooner rather than later. You're coming too?" Naruto asked.

"Yes, as much as I consider Ajuka a friend and trust his wisdom in most things, when it comes to experiments he can get a bit carried away. I will just be present to make sure everything is kept within reason." She replied before handing some neatly folded clothes to him, causing him to realize only now that he was completely nude, not even in his boxers.

Grayfia paid him no mind as he tried to cover himself with his clothes as quickly as possible while blushing slightly. He wasn't sure if he was happy or a bit disappointed in the utter lack of reaction from her.

Once he was dressed they both teleported to Ajuka's home. A rather bland palace compared to the one Sirzechs used or the Gremory estates. Then again Ajuka seemed the type to care little for aesthetics and far more for functionality.

The two of them were led by servants to one of the small labs kept within Ajuka's palace that was currently being used to test some sort of medicinal liquid. The man almost seemed bored as he stared down at the set of beakers before him though. The small smile he sent Naruto and Grayfia told them he was pleased for the interruption from the dull work he was performing.

"Grayfia, Naruto. I'm happy to be seeing you both so soon. Follow me and we can just get started." Ajuka said as he led them both into another room.

"I want to run a few basic tests on you, Naruto, just to make sure everything is going smoothly." Ajuka said as he directed Naruto into a room while he and Grayfia stepped into an observation room to safely watch as he performed his techniques.

"So…I just fight the air or what?" Naruto asked.

The mechanically tinged voice of the Maou came through the intercom in the room with a small amount of static. "Just use some techniques. First some chakra based ones, then some demonic powered ones and finally ending with trying to mix your power. I want to see what you can do without Kurama's energies seeping into yours."

"Sounds easy enough." Naruto shrugged before channeling his chakra to perform a jutsu he had been familiar with for years by this point.

With crossed fingers Naruto pushed his chakra through the technique in the same fashion he always had, except this time he immediately noticed something shocking. He hadn't really considered the difference between his control and that of other shinobi without the likes of a bijuu sealed within them before. He expected his amount of chakra was the prime reason control was so much more difficult for him but suddenly that seemed far from true.

Rather than the pair of clones he meant to summon the room filled with identical copies of Naruto all wearing the same surprised expression on their face. Clearing them out with a thought he reigned back how much chakra he used in the jutsu and was shocked at how much more efficiently he could complete Jutsu now. The second time the amount he intended to create appeared and a goofy grin spread onto his face at the new development.

"Naruto, you'll have to tell us what's going on. Our spells can't sense much other than a dramatic change in how much chakra you used." Ajuka's metal tinged voice called out.

"That's it though. I need to use way less chakra than I used to, but it's also way easier to control." Naruto replied as he quickly spooled up a rasengan in either hand all the while grinning as he put his two clones to death with them.

"So your chakra is more efficient and possibly potent?" Ajuka asked.

"Efficient sure, I don't think it's really more powerful or anything, I just have way better control and…it's just so smooth. Natural. It feels good." Naruto said while getting a little lost in the moment as he jogged across the walls and ceiling.

"Very good. Let's move onto your magic then. Use your demonic power to cast a couple of spells and tell me how they feel." Ajuka said.

"No problem." Naruto replied before flipping off of the ceiling onto the floor below him as easy as someone might perform a sit up.

He cycled through his demonic power and enjoyed the feeling of its power at his fingertips before letting loose a quick series of spells that he had learned since becoming a devil. There really was no change there. He retained a potent amount of magic but unlike his chakra it had never been truly intermixed with Kurama's chakra. It had never suffered the same issues with control that his naturally born power had.

"Well that's fine, lets move onto mixing your power." Ajuka said.

"Sure." Naruto happily chirped as he began summoning a rasengan in hand before feeding demonic power into it to set the jutsu on fire with a scarlet blaze of magical flame.

After taking a moment to appreciate just how easy it was to make such a powerful attack he also hummed thoughtfully at the ease that the two energies mixed now. It was all his energy. His power melded perfectly together now despite being a mix of chakra and demonic power.

He stepped forward and hit the target on the back wall with the attack only to be hurled backward from the blast as the was utterly destroyed despite the magical barrier on it. As he cracked the observation window with his back and head slid painfully down the wall itself, he could only stare at the hole that now revealed the manicured yard of Ajuka's estate.

Slowly as he heard Grayfia and Ajuka rushing to his side to check on him he looked back at his arm. Normally he didn't need to reinforce himself with chakra when he hit someone with the rasengan unless he was dumping a lot of power behind it. Mixing his demonic power and chakra into that attack had turned what should have been a weak, albeit fiery rasengan into something really exciting.

He just needed to remember to reinforce his body the next time he used it because his hand and fingers were definitely broken now and his palm had an angry red burn across it.

Either way though, he felt like he was really surpassing his old restrictions now that his power was all his and his alone. He just had to wonder what he would be able to do when he really started to get strong.

Kuoh

Things had begun to take a turn for the worst. Issei and his friends had found one of the exorcists near the outskirts of town recently. His childhood friend Irina had been roughed up pretty badly and from what Asia had quietly told her, had been sexually assaulted as well.

Rias might not have cared much for the agents of a rival faction but she couldn't help the feeling of sympathy for the girl at such a fate befalling her. Luckily Issei's family had taken her in and with some quick spellwork from Sona, she would be taken care of and back with her colleagues soon enough. Hopefully it would go some way towards smoothing the rest of this situation over.

The excalibur blade the girl had was gone unfortunately and Akeno, Kiba, Koneko, and several members of Sona's peerage had run into Valper and Sellzen once again. They nearly captured them too if not for interference from additional rogue exorcists working for Galilee. She knew things would only continue to escalate now.

A part of her wanted to listen to Akeno and Tsubaki and call her brother. Sona agreed with her and refused though. They both had something they wanted to prove and as foolish as she expected their elder siblings would consider their actions, both young Kings wanted to handle this business themselves.

As it was, Sellzen's message left with Kiba's group had been clear. Kokabiel was intent to run rampant through Kuoh until Sirzechs and Serafall came running. She and Sona both knew it was foolish to try to hold strong against the likes of Kokabiel, but the arrogant bastard had literally told them to prepare their defenses for him and his to come knock down. Kokabiel's sadistic desire to let them build up their hopes to defend against him didn't amount to much in the end.

He had pretty much already gained everything he wanted. For either high level devils or angels to get involved in the fight for Kuoh would escalate the situation further, which would no doubt lead to more issues and further escalations. He wanted war, and all he had to do was destroy a single town.

Rias hoped that his sadistic and prideful nature would draw it out and let them find some sort of opportunity to turn the tables.

Sadly as she watched Sona and Akeno lead the more magically talented members of their group in erecting magical defenses while Kiba, Koneko, and Issei all worked to erect meager physical barriers, she doubted their chances. Xenovia, the only remaining exorcist capable of combat, was there to help, but Rias had her doubts at what a single holy sword user could really offer in the coming fight.

Truth be told she wanted to call her brother. She was terrified, but knowing that Kokabiel was waiting for her or Sona to do just that, or for Xenovia to call in her higher ups, stopped her.

As bleak as it all was, she held a sliver of hope.

Four hours later all hope that Rias had possessed was quashed.

Even bolstered by their numbers and using Issei's sacred gear to empower both peerages, they were simply outmatched. Kokabiel's subordinates were largely handled. Kiba had even managed to progress his own sacred gear to the point that it produced weapons of both demonic and divine power. His balance breaker had helped Xenovia to defeat Freed and destroy the reforged excalibur.

Sadly it still wasn't enough to stop Kokabiel. The mad angel even slew his own ally and gloated about their upcoming deaths and the inevitable return to the Great War.

A new strategy had to be put into place. Rias couldn't allow her and Sona's peerages to be murdered like this. Even if it risked war, she'd risked it in the past to save Asia after all. They made the calls for help to Sirzechs and Sona, but both were in some sort of meeting. The messages they left could take time to reach them.

They tried working together to bring Kokabiel down but by now they were already hurt and exhausted. The Fallen toyed with them, only really having to worry about the pair of weapons wielded by Kiba and Xenovia and Issei's sacred gear.

Even then though it was clear he wasn't taking them seriously and was just biding his time for greater powers among the Divine and Demonic factions to arrive for his plans to come to fruition. Issei's balance breaker had surprised him but even that hadn't been enough for someone with the experience of Kokabiel. He had fought Red Dragon Emperors that were far more impressive in the past.

In the end they were at his mercy as he mocked them all, revealed the truth about the death of God and simply enjoyed their suffering.

"I'm sorry, all of you." Rias apologized as she tried to fight back her tears.

"Rias?" Akeno asked worriedly.

"You said we should call Sona and Sirzechs earlier, Akeno. I should have listened to you. I told you I didn't want this to spiral out into a new war, but it was just my pride. My pride is getting us killed." Rias sadly explained.

Issei was crumpled on the grown with his head in Aika's lap. Her promise of letting him fuck her if he won the fight in his balance breaker was pretty much useless now, so she shocked him by planting a kiss on his lips.

Rias watched on as the rest of her peerage all seemed to accept their incoming deaths. All the while her mind thought of the Rook that wasn't there. She was at least happy he wasn't about to die, even if she wished so badly for him to be here with her.

As she prepared herself for the end, just like in all her favorite shows, the cavalry arrived in the nick of time.

And that is that. You all know what is coming next, probably a shorter chapter next chapter but we are getting close to a fun little arc that I have planned so that will be cool.
