This isn't a new chapter, just a small IRL update since a handful of people still following me and the story have expressed their concern over the past few months.
As I've explained to them, back when I started this account, I was a teenager with all the time in the world. At present, I'm 26 and in my final year of college and working on two MA Theses and substituting as a teacher (much of my "free" time goes into research since the deadline for both my theses is August 2023). And the spare time I do have for writing and taking a breather I tend to devote to my novel (at present it's amid the 3rd draft since it wasn't outright rejected by a publisher I'm hoping to run it through, but they did stress it needed a lot of 'fine tuning' aka. proofreading and rewriting) since I was hoping to have it finalized over 2 years ago; sadly, life always finds a way to screw up my plans ^^"
Anyhow, I am considering flat-out posting the plot I had for the finale of New Dawn since many people are curious how I intended to end the series, but I also wanna actually write it for the few readers who've still stuck around. I will have to see. As for when the next chapter drops, well, I don't know myself. It's been half-finished for over half a year now just sitting in my backlog.
Meh.
The bottom line is, I am fine and I haven't forgotten about the story, I just lack the time and - frankly - the energy at present to finish it.
