Chapter 9: Memories
Three days later….
"And that concludes today's lesson", Alastor said to the Skywalker Family.
What was he teaching them, we hear you readers asking?
He was teaching them to shapeshift and form their arms into weapons.
They wanted to make sure the Skywalker's could defend themselves.
And the Skywalker Family were getting better each day.
They honed their skills with each training session.
Anakin was learning how to duel with a bladed arm fast.
Padme preferred using whip arms.
Luke learned to fight with double bladed arms.
Leia was a fan of good ol' fashioned martial arts.
Sam also preferred to fight with double bladed arms.
The family were much better at defending themselves.
Which was a good thing for them, should Belos ever send more agents after them. They wanted to be prepared for anything.
Alastor asked, "anyone hungry?"
Luke said, "I could eat."
"Well, Ani and I did make lunch before we got to the ship", Padme said.
Leia said, "great to hear!"
Anakin walked over with the basket.
He began pulling the food out.
They were sandwiches and chips.
As well as some water.
The family went over to sit down at a nearby table to eat their lunch.
They soon dug in.
The food was delicious like always.
Soon they finished their lunch.
They made sure to tidy up afterwards.
"Hey you, guys, Prime and Hordak have something to show you", Lucifer said as he walked into the room.
Sam asked, "what?"
"Come and see for yourselves", Lucifer said as he led the group.
The others shrugged and followed.
The group then made it to a room, that was filled with various machines and tech.
Sam asked, "what is all this?"
"This is where we do some experiments and we create various machines and weapons", Lucifer said.
Luke said, "cool."
Leia asked, "so what is it that Prime and Hordak want to show us?"
Prime said, "we've got a special machine ready."
Luke asked, "what is so special about this machine?"
Hordak said, "this machine scan your minds and show memories."
Anakin said in amazement, "woah really!?"
The baeliens nodded.
Hordak said, "want to give it a try?"
Sam said, "sure."
Sam and his family walked over to the machine.
A red blinking light appeared on the front.
The light then began to scan the Skywalker family.
It passed over them for a minute.
The machine then let out a beeping sound.
Lucifer said, "it's ready."
The group began watching the memory footage.
….
Everyone was excited to see that.
The memory shows Anakin and Padme arriving at their house with a newborn Sam.
Padme was holding Sam close.
Sam babbled as he sucked his finger.
Anakin said Padme chuckled.
Anakin then opened the door, he and his wife entered the house.
Luke and Leia were waiting there.
Luke asked, "is that our new baby sibling?"
Anakin and Padme nodded.
Luke and Leia walked over and saw Baby Sam.
"Oh he's so cute", Leia squealed.
Sam giggled happily.
"Oh my God, that was so adorable", Luke said.
Sam babbled in joy.
"Awwwww", the baeliens said.
Sam chuckled at seeing this memory.
"Sam is so adorable as a baby", Lucifer said.
Prime said, "he's still adorable now."
Sam blushed.
Hordak and Alastor kissed him on the cheeks.
Sam giggled.
The others chuckled as well.
Prime asked, "what other memories are there to see?"
"Oh there is one…. Sam as a baby was so clingy to Anakin and me, he would cry whenever Anakin or I would put him down", Padme said.
Luke said, "let's see one of those!"
Prime then pressed a button and then the memory started to play.
The memory showed baby Sam clinging to Anakin's leg as he was cooking.
Anakin looked down at his son, who cooed at his father. Anakin chuckled.
"Awwwww!"
Everyone had said that.
The memory then showed Padme outside in the backyard tending to the garden.
Sam was sitting on her shoulders.
Sam babbled. Padme giggled as she lifted her arm up to pat his tiny head.
Sam giggled in joy as he waved his arms around. He was so happy.
"Oh so cute", Alastor said.
Then the next memory showed Sam being held by Obi Wan, but he was crying.
Obi Wan rocked Sam back and forth.
But Sam wouldn't calm down, he wanted his father.
Obi Wan knew this, and began searching for his friend.
Obi Wan then saw Anakin enter through the front door with bags.
Obi Wan said, "oh thank God. Anakin, your son wants you!"
Sam at this point started crying even more as he reached his tiny arms towards his father.
Anakin said, "alright, alright, hang on."
Anakin then placed the bags by the couch.
He then went over to Obi Wan who handed Sam over to him.
As soon as Sam was in his dad's arms, he stopped crying.
Obi Wan said, "are you kidding me?"
Anakin gave a light chuckle.
Sam squealed in joy as he touched his father's face!
He was so happy to see him again.
Anakin chuckled as he nuzzled his son's face. This made Sam giggle again.
"He really loves you Anakin", Obi Wan said.
Anakin smiled and said, "something I'm very happy about."
Sam giggled in joy as he hugged his father around the neck.
Everyone watching smiled at the memory.
"Sam being so clingy is adorable", Hordak said.
Sam giggled in embarrassment.
"He always wanted be with me or Padme", Anakin said.
Padme said, "indeed he did."
"Luke and Leia were like that as well, when they were babies…. But Sam was more clingy than them", Anakin said.
Luke, Leia and Padme chuckled.
Sam giggled in embarrassment again.
His baeliens smiled at him.
"Now I want to see more memories of Sam as a baby", Prime said.
Anakin said, "ooh! I got one!"
Hordak asked, "which one?"
"Somehow when Sam was a baby, he managed to get to the top of the fridge on his own", Anakin said.
Prime exclaimed, "oh! I wanna watch that one!"
"Me too", Alastor exclaimed.
Lucifer yelled, "me four!"
Prime quickly pressed the button on the machine and the memory started to play.
The memory is in the kitchen.
Anakin and Padme are in the kitchen making lunch.
They were focused on the bread, meat and cheese they were making sandwiches with.
They didn't notice baby Sam.
Sam was crawling across the kitchen and towards the fridge.
Sam cooed in awe at the fridge. He smiled as he placed his hands on the fridge.
Anakin and Padme didn't notice the infant as he made it to the top of the fridge…. Sam sat on the fridge and grabbed the cookie jar.
Sam cooed in awe as he somehow managed to open the cookie jar.
Sam grabbed a big cookie and sucked on it.
"Mom! Dad! Have you seen Sam? I can't find him", Leia shouted.
Padme and Anakin gave confused looks.
Padme asked, "what do you mean, isn't he in his room, playing with his toys?"
"I already looked and he's not in his room", Leia said.
Anakin asked, "then where could he be?!"
Then the three heard Sam's cooing, and they looked to see him on top of the fridge!
Sam still had the big cookie sitting in his mouth.
The three said in shock, "Sam!?"
Padme exclaimed in shock, "how did he get up there!?"
Sam giggled in joy.
"Awww", the baeliens said.
Leia said, "yep. Sam could do a lot of crazy stuff like that."
Sam said, "how about we show them the memory of when Dad hanged that bully by his undies, for pushing me off the swing?"
The bealiens nodded frantically.
Prime quickly pressed the button and the memory started to play.
It showed a one year old Sam playing on the swings.
He was giggling in joy.
Anakin was sitting on a bench watching his son play on the swing.
He smiled at seeing how smart his baby boy was.
"Weeeeee", Sam squealed as he swung as high as he could.
Anakin chuckled lightly.
But then suddenly, someone grabbed the swing set, and it caused Sam to fall to the ground face first!
Anakin quickly ran to his son.
Sam began to cry as he felt so much pain. Anakin quickly picked him up.
"Daddy", Sam cried.
Anakin saw some scratches on his face.
Anakin cradled Sam close to him.
He whispered, "it's gonna be okay."
Sam kept whimpering as he hugged his father.
Anakin then turned to see who had done that to his son.
It was some jerk dressed like a greaser.
Anakin quickly went over to place Sam on the bench.
"Stay there Sam, daddy will be back in a moment", Anakin said.
Sam sniffled and gave a tiny nod.
Anakin kissed his son's forehead, and he turned around to glare angrily at the bully.
The bully gulped in fear.
"You made a big mistake…. Messing with my baby boy", Anakin growled.
The bully tried to run!
Anakin quickly ran after the bully and caught up with him. He tackled him to the ground.
The bully yelped in fear as he tried to get away.
Anakin yelled, "oh no ya don't!"
Anakin then lifted the bully and glared directly into his eyes.
"I know just what I am gonna do to you", Anakin said.
The bully screamed and passed out in fear.
A few minutes later….
Anakin had hung the bully by his undies on a tree branch.
He chuckled at the image.
"Now let that be a lesson and warning to never mess with my baby boy ever again", Anakin shouted
The bully nodded in fear.
Anakin chuckled as he walked back to where his son was.
Sam looked up at his dad.
Anakin picked up Sam.
He hugged his baby boy close.
"Come on, my little one, let's get you home", Anakin said softly.
Sam gave a tiny nod.
Anakin held his son close as he walked back home with Sam in his arms.
"Aww that's so sweet", Lucifer said.
Anakin said, "I bought him some ice cream to cheer him up."
"And it did work", Sam said.
The others all chuckled and nodded in agreement.
Sam saud, "how about we show them the memories…. Of my father's mama bear moments? Like when he scared every boy and girl who tried to ask me out?"
Anakin said, "just one more. Those stories are mostly the same and get kind of old."
"Okay, this will be the last one", Sam said.
The next memory showed.
In the memory was a 15 year old Sam. He was currently waiting tables.
"Hey you, over here!"
Sam turned to see a teenage boy calling him.
Sam looked very confused.
Sam walked over to the table.
He said, "yessir, did you get your order yet?"
"I got my order already…. Cause I'm looking at it", the teen boy said.
Sam blushed and said, "w-what?"
"You heard me…. So how about you sit here and we can…. Discuss things", the teen boy said
Sam blushed and said, "er, but, um, I'm not on break…."
Then teen boy was about to make another move…. When Anakin appeared.
He growled, "is there a problem?"
The teen boy went pale at the sight of Anakin.
Sam sighed in embarrassment.
The teen boy then ran off in fear.
Sam groaned, "dad!"
"What? I'm just protecting my baby boy", Anakin said.
Sam face-palmed.
"Now that's being a mama bear", Alastor said.
The others all chuckled.
"That's how Dad reacted every time a boy or girl tried to ask me out", Sam said.
Hordak said, "we noticed."
Well we can resume watching more memories another day", Anakin said.
Prime nods his head as he presses a button and the giant screen then disappears.
Sam said, "that was pretty cool."
"I agree it was great seeing those old memories", Padme said.
Anakin said, "we should do that more often."
"Just let us know whenever you want to use the machine", Prime said.
The Skywalker's nodded.
"Well, let's go back home", Leia said.
Luke said, "yeah. I'm tuckered out."
"Me too", Leia said.
Sam said, "me three."
"Well, then let's head back home", Anakin said.
And with that, they did.
