Stains and Hoodies

Roxas had a nice scent.

Or at least his hoodie did.

He offered it to Kairi earlier that day during their quick stop at the local convenience store for slushies. Even with the blazing sun outside, the hoodie never came off.

Which is why the redhead was surprised when she noticed Roxas finally removing it there at the store.

"Wow, it's about time," Kairi joked sarcastically, filling up a cup with her favorite berry flavored slushie. "Did the heat finally get to you?"

"Nah, I just think you might need it more than me."

Kairi raised a brow and turned to face him, already handing his hoodie over to her. The girl nearly snorted at the unexpected gesture.

"You realize it's boiling hot out, right?"

"It's not that bad," Roxas chuckled as his gaze trailed down to those tiny shorts she wore. He didn't mean to stare but…

He timidly looked back up and lowered his voice.

"You have a little situation back there."

Kairi was wondering what he meant (as well as wondering what he was staring at) before realizing…

Oh.

Right.

The girl bit her lip in embarrassment before finally taking the hoodie from Roxas, wrapping it around her waist to cover up the noticeable red stain on her shorts.

"Thanks for that," she mumbled, stepping aside to give the boy a chance to get his own frozen treat. He nodded in acknowledgement and faced her again with a small smile.

"The slushies are on me."

Kairi laughed softly at the memory from earlier that day as she lay in bed, her arms resting inside the sleeves of Roxas's hoodie. His boyish scent still lingered on the fabric. It was almost as if he was still there with her. She supposed this was one way to get her mind off her ongoing cramps. She made a mental note to give it back to him the following day.

No promises though.
