Izuku loved UA so far!

It was amazing interacting with so many pro heroes.

After the first half of the day was done, and lunch (and an autograph) was acquired, it was time for the part Izuku was the most excited about!

The Electives!

First was one of the more practical classes Izuku had chosen; First Aid with Recovery Girl.

If Izuku wanted to be a hero, learning to help people hurt and in need was a priority.

Heroes are most often the first people on the scene, especially rescue heroes when disaster strikes. I have to be able to help someone who's possible to injured. Too many heroes only focus on the obvious, more talked about areas of hero work.

Izuku could bring up one example of someone more worried about defeating villains instead of the safety of civilians.

First Aid was taught in the infirmary, which also served as the nurse's offices.

There were only a handful of students in the class when Izuku started. 5, if Izuku counted himself in that total. He decided to wait for others to show up.

But nobody else did.

Uh, the class only has a fourth of the total class size. I would have thought more people would want to learn how to help in an emergency.

As Izuku and the four other students all found seats, they waited for the teacher to show up. After a minute the door opened and a short elderly woman made her way towards the group. She wore a lab coat over what looked like a hero costume. On her head she had a visor covering her eyes and brow, and her hair was tied into a bun with a syringe used as a hair pin, which matched with the oversized syringe she used as a walking cane.

"Welcome all of you to First Aid, I'm Chiyo Shuzenji, also known as the Youthful Heroine: Recovery Girl, but please call me Shuzenji-Sensei while in class." She said calmly.

"As you can see there aren't many students in this class." She said with an air of sadness, "While unfortunate, it does allow me to give those of you who do sign up for this class a more in depth knowledge due to me not having to divide my attention among 20 students."

She walked over to her desk and pulled out a few packets, and handed one to each student.

"These packets contain your syllabus and outline what we'll be going over in this class. It might be labeled as 'First Aid', but because this is a hero school we'll also be going over general first aid techniques as well as how to treat someone with mutation quirks and the like."

"At the end of the packet is the class disclosure, which I ask to be signed and returned to me by tomorrow."

She waited a moment for acknowledgement, and when she got some 'yes ma'am' and nods, she continued on with her speech.

The rest of the lesson was about how we would first be learning about background knowledge and specific steps one's supposed to take when giving first aid, then she talked about how after the first term they could sign up to work as assistants in the infirmary to help with taking care of minor injuries or similar situations.

They ended the lesson with a reminder about the disclosure and then they left for their next class.

Hitoshi had a lot of problems.

He was often told as a child that he couldn't be a hero with a so-called 'villain's quirk'. This resulted in more problems, like his low self-esteem, poor social skills, and lack of sleep.

But his biggest problem right now was waiting inside a small base, where faux villains were protecting a replica nuclear weapon, and he and his partner had to try and succeed in either defeating said faux villains, or capturing said replica nuclear weapon.

But that was just the context that led to Hitoshi's current predicament, which would be a very angry blonde being propelled towards him by explosions from their hands, murderous intent plastered on their face.

Hitoshi, like any rational person in this kind of situation, was internally panicking while promptly hauling ass in the opposite direction.

"Get back here, you bag-eyed coward!" Bakugo roared.

Hitoshi made the executive decision to not go back there.

I need a plan, I can't get him to respond back if he can't hear me over the explosions he's using to propel himself.

"Uraraka, have you found the bomb yet?" Hitoshi said to his communicator.

"Yeah, but Iida found me, and he keeps moving it before I can reach it."

Hitoshi was about to respond but an explosion went off right behind him, knocking him off balance.

"HA! Got you now bageyes!" The Blonde Bomber exclaimed, now right above Hitoshi, his hand aimed downwards, right at Hitoshi.

Hitoshi doesn't know exactly what prompted him to say what he did next, but in the small window between Bakugo's attacks he took his chance.

"Jackasssaywhat!"

"Wha-" suddenly Bakugo's eyes glazed over, and he froze in the pose he was in, arm extended, but the sparks that had been going off had ceased.

Hitoshi was honestly surprised he had managed to get that out before he was obliterated by the guy.

Taking out the capture tape from his pocket, Hitoshi tied Bakugo around his upper body, and decided to make sure of something, even though he was already captured.

"Walk out the front door and wait outside."

And Bakugo did just that as Hitoshi hurried towards his partner.

When Hitoshi was sure that he was safe he let go his control of his opponent.

As Hitoshi made his way towards the bomb, he entered the room and found Iida and Ochako facing off, Iida with his back towards the door.

"Hey Iida!"

The armoured teen started to turn around to face the newcomer.

"Yes, what do yo-" Then he froze, as Hitoshi made his way over to the bomb.

He rested his hand on the smooth surface, right as All Might's booming voice echoed through the building.

"HERO TEAM WINS!"

"Welcome to Introduction to Support Items." Higari said from the front of the class.

It was one of the leftover rooms that the Support Course students used for drawing up designs and minor repair work, so all the desks were replaced with small workbenches in a grid formation.

"I'm the head of UA's support course, Higari Maijima, better known as the pro hero Power Loader, but you may call me Maijima-Sensei for convenience."

He sat down in his plush chair behind his desk.

"You may have wondered why this course was an option for those of you in General Studies, so let me explain."

"Some people apply to UA with a specific course in mind, like Heroics or Business, but those exams are very difficult and very selective with their spots. More often than not, they don't think about applying for more than one course, so they are placed in General Studies."

"But General Studies is called 'General' for a reason. We let students choose electives so they can focus on what they want to study in. Sort of like an early version of college courses."

"But we also offer classes like this one so that those who failed the Entrance Exam can have a chance to earn a spot in another course if they show enough aptitude, or even let people try a course they hadn't even considered originally. That means that if you choose to, and show enough know-how, you can transfer over to the support course from this class."

Higari let them stew on that for a second before he finished.

"Now with that out of the way, are there any questions?"

A few raised their hands, so Higari called on the first one he saw.

"Yes, you with the green hair."

The boy looked surprised for a second, like he didn't expect to actually be acknowledged, before he asked his question.

"Um, you implied that it was possible to transfer into courses besides support, right?" Higari nodded, assuming there was more from the boy's tone.

"Has anybody ever transferred into the Hero Course?" The boy finished softly, like he was afraid of the answer.

Higari was expecting this kind of question, somebody always asked. But it was usually someone with an attitude problem who was bitter that they didn't pass the entrance exam.

But Higari would have never expected it from the boy in front of him.

Aside from the boy's curly green hair he had very few defining characteristics. He kind of reminded Higari of a small animal with his large eyes and soft face. Kind of acted like one too.

It sounds insulting, but there's just no other way to describe the boy.

"Yes, but it's not very common. I only know of one case personally, and that was almost 16 years ago."

The boy looked a little sad about that, but his eyes had a spark of determination in them by knowing it was in fact possible.

"But I must warn you, all of you, trying to get into the Hero Course is a very difficult thing to do. Hero Students are held to a different standard with their training, so even if you do make it in, you'll most likely be behind everyone else. So just make sure to-"

BOOM

An explosion rang out from nearby, and Higari was immediately shot out of his chair and ran towards the door.

"Um, open your textbooks to chapter one and write some notes, I'll be back soon." he called quickly as he swiftly made his way to the design studio, which currently had smoke billowing from inside into the hallway.

Loud cackling was coming from inside also, and Higari found himself dreading who he guessed was going to be his problem student this year.

Izuku was a little concerned about the explosion, but Maijima-Sensei said to just work on the textbook, so they were probably safe.

Izuku opened the large book and found chapter one. It was an introductory chapter about the different uses support technology has on society, like devices that let those with dangerous or hard-to-manage quirks keep them under control. They also used certain items in areas like Health care in order to help with people under the effects of someone else's quirk that had a negative reaction or was made worse by their own quirk's properties. It was actually very interesting information.

For example, if Person A has quirk that lets them see different frequencies on the electromagnetic spectrum (i.e., X-Ray vision, Infrared, Ultraviolet etc.) and Person B has a quirk that releases energy similar to it, then it could mess with their ability to see correctly, either temporarily or permanently. In this case, a support item made to block out certain wavelengths could be given to Person A, or a containment method could be given to Person B.

Then there were the people who had drawbacks to their quirks. Like how people with vision based quirks commonly suffered from dry-eye, or how people with contact related quirks, like Uraraka-San's, could be handled by special clothing that wouldn't transmit their quirks.

But the items that drew Izuku's attention were the devices for pro heroes. Hero Support items usually fell into three main categories; Enhancement, Control, and Supplementary items.

Enhancement items were made to amplify a hero's quirk, giving them more power or versatility. People with Emitter quirks were the biggest users of Enhancement items, either increasing range, intensity, and duration.

Control items were for those with potentially lethal or damaging quirks if left alone. Usually they helped direct quirks, or limited their capacity. Present Mic's speakers are a prime example of a Control item. It helped direct his blasts and focus them.

Supplementary items are equipment and costumes that aren't directly related to someone's quirk, but can be used to cover someone's drawback, or just offer a secondary skill or offer more protection. Things like weapons, body armour, and other utility items are the most common supplementary items.

Izuku's favorite example of a Supplementary item was the Capture Scarf, used by one of his all-time favorite heroes, Erasurehead!

It's so versatile, and the underground hero worked it into his primary fighting style, which consists of fast and effective takedowns while tying his enemies. It even helps with traversal in an urban setting. I wonder if he was trained by someone else or if he developed the technique himself. And the way he uses it with his quirk to disorient his opponents is awesome!

Once again, those sitting around Izuku felt a sense of unease towards the boy.

Oblivious to his peers, Izuku pulled out a notebook, opening to a page titled Possible Support Items.

Nedzu was continually being surprised by this boy.

In between his many duties as principal of UA, he's been keeping up with Izuku Midoriya before he makes it to his final elective class with yours truly.

The boys approach to learning is just so… refreshing to Nedzu.

It's clear that the boy is smarter than everyone else around him, and he knows this, but he's still so eager to learn.

But Nedzu has noticed that when he already seems to understand the material, he just does the assignments, then opens one of his personal notebooks and writes contently.

Nedzu is really looking forward to seeing what those notebooks hold.

The staff have seemed to become aware of the boy as well. He seems to brighten a lot of their moods. Nedzu doesn't think he's ever seen Lunch Rush quite as giddy as he was after lunch today.

Right now, Midoriya was being instructed in self-defense by Ectoplasm. The boy seemed very eager to learn how to fight, and he seemed to grasp the basics fairly quickly, even if he was very inexperienced.

And Ectoplasm seemed more than willing to teach someone who wanted to learn.

Izuku never thought violence could be so much fun!

Ectoplasm-Sensei was great! His quirk let him make clones, so he was able to instruct every student one on one!

And Ectoplasm himself is very enjoyable to be around. He's a very good teacher, and with his fighting style focusing on hand to hand, he is an excellent fighting instructor.

And he answers all of Izuku's questions! He now has so much information on how to continue training and certain styles to look into.

As Izuku went to the locker room to change out of his sports uniform, he made sure to thank Ectoplasm-Sensei for all his help.

After he was back in his regular clothes, he started making his way to the class he'd been excited for all day; Quirk Theory!

As Izuku made his way to the room, he noticed that the closer he got, the less students there seemed to be, until eventually Izuku was walking in an empty hallway.

He found the room and inside was a single desk in the center.

Not knowing what else to do, Izuku sat down in the lone chair.

After a minute, the door slid open and Principal Nedzu walked over to Izuku's desk, before leaped from the floor, performed an impressive flip, and landed on the desktop.

Nedzu and Izuku were now at eye level with each other, and for a hot minute neither of them said anything, Izuku because he was very confused and nervous, and Nedzu for dramatic effect.

"Am I a dog, a bear, or a mouse? I'm Principal Nedzu." With that Nedzu stuck out his hand… paw for Izuku to shake.

Izuku gingerly shook his paw before Nedzu continued.

"It's so nice to finally meet you, Izuku Midoriya!"

The Mammalian Mastermind beamed at the Green Genius, and they both felt as though this was going to be interesting.

(A/N) Holy Crap! Why was that chapter so difficult? It's not even my longest one so far. And this is the THIRD version. 3. As in there were two versions of this chapter that both sucked so bad that they were rewritten. I feel like I put too much exposition in. But whatever, I'm moving on and if I suck, I suck.

So, self-deprecation aside, I have some news. I have a few ideas for potential stories. As of now I only have rough ideas and a few outlines, but I think I have something I can show you guys: Titles! After this message I'm going to list the potential titles (and maybe a tagline) for a couple of my ideas and try to gauge reactions. If I get enough questions or comments, I might just be motivated enough to figure out how to set up a poll and write full descriptions for some of these ideas. So, on with the showcase:

Izuku Mera (The Agent's Analytical Son)

Explosive Smash (Can HE really be the World's Greatest Hero?)

Teaching Each Other To Go Beyond (or If All Might As A Good Mentor)

UA's Personal Hero (or Inventor Izuku Supports UA Staff and Students Emotionally and Technically)

The Ultimate Warrior (Can The Villains Catch These Hands?)

And that's all I have as of now. Leave a review with your thoughts! I'll see you all later!
