Tatsumi pov.
I lied and waited in this cell. I got my ass kicked by that budo guy. And now i'm waiting in a cell. No doubt i'm going to be executed. As i waited. Who else but esdeath showed up in front of my cell.
"It's been a while, tatsumi…i can't believe you were in night raid." esdeath said as she put her hand on my cheek. "Join me! If you do, I will forgive all of your transgressions." esdeath said. I slapped away her hand.
"I'm never going to join forces with you!" i yelled as i walked deeper into my cell. Only to hear the slicing of metal. As i turned around to see an ice sword pointed at my face.
"If you reject my offer. Then only death awaits!" esdeath yelled.
"I'm prepared to die!" i yelled. Esdeath hugged me.
"I'm not asking you to betray your allies. Simply being close is enough." esdeath said.
"Why do you feel so strongly about me?" i asked.
"Because you have stolen my heart. Tatsumi. Be with me." esdeath replied. There she goes again. Talking about how she loves me. She wants me to be with her. But doesn't give a damn about how i feel. I have no desire to be with someone who. as auron put it. A bloodthirsty savage.
"No!" i yelled as i pushed her off. "I don't want to be with someone who only spreads destruction!" i yelled.
"I see. Then i suppose i have no choice." esdeath said. As she pinned me to the wall. "I will perform the execution myself. The rest will be wagered on your will to live." esdeath said. I made my choice. I'm going to die for it…that's fine by me.
night/auron pov.
"We're not letting him die. Tomorrow will be the execution. No failures. We're saving him." i said.
"Yeah! I'm with you!" sayo yelled.
"So am i!" mine yelled.
"Wow. so all that talking about you and him actually loving each other wasn't just teasing?" falix said with a grin.
"I knew it. Glad to see you admit it mine." sheele said with a smile. Only for mine to pinch her and falix's cheeks.
"Both of you shut up!" mine yelled with her face red.
"That hurts!" sheele yelled.
"Worth it! I regret nothing!" falix yelled as he laughed. I smiled as i went to bed. I'll need all my energy if for tomorrow.
"You or me. General…tomorrow…one of us dies." I said to myself. I went to my room. Only to see cosmina on top of doya. Completely naked.
"Welcome back my lord." cosmina said with her tongue sticking out.
"I know tomorrow is an important mission…but want to have some fun before hand?" doya asked while winking. I sighed. And smiled….a bit of fun with two girls who love me can't hurt.
The next day.
I was in position. And i saw the emperor giving some speech. Tatsumi was on a cross. And i could see from falix's face that he wanted nothing more then to yell bullshit. Peaceful lives my ass. He clearly has no clue what his trusted prime minister has done.
"Auron…i can't listen to this bullshit any longer." falix said.
"Wait until mine fires." i said. As esdeath walked towards tatsumi…looking at that animal. My darkness begins to rise. I feel the blood rushing through my body. That burning hatred…that desire to see her fall to her knees. With my blade to her neck…to end her miserable existence. The people she killed. They're begging me…to kill her. To avenge them…all of them. They're calling me. Calling me to the ultimate ring. Mine finally took her shot…time to begin…time to end this.
"Dumbass tatsumi. What are you doing getting captured." mine said. As she continued opening fire. And soon the flying manta arrived. With everyone on it.
"So you finally show yourself. The empire's traitor." esdeath said. Think it's time to let myself be known.
"It's not her you have to worry about." i said as i removed my cloak. Revealing myself. "It's me." i said. As i transformed. The look of fear on her face was only there for a second before she regained her composure. Falix grabbed tatsumi and put him on the manta. I did the same.
"Now." i said. Najenda got over her shock and detonated the bombs lubbock planted. The manta was hit by electricity. Forcing it to the ground "falix. That general is yours. Show no mercy." i said. Falix looked at me in shock. And then chuckled.
"Look at you…not holding back. Alright. Let's do this." falix said as he transformed as well. Went to the general who fired that electricity.
"What the hell is going on!?" leone asked.
"Should have figured auron could to do that too." mine said.
"So this is the transformation you were talking about?" leone asked.
"Yep…i've already seen this. But it doesn't make it any less insane." mine said.
"We should stay out this and just observe…i don't want to get in auron's way…considering the bloodlust that was coming from him." leone said.
"Auron? Are you sure it wasn't falix?" mine asked.
"No…it was him. I've never felt such rage before…not even from falix." leone said. Mine looked into the arena in shock.
"People like you don't belong in this secret place. Feel the wrath of my teigu. For i am general budo!" budo yelled as he fired more electricity. Only for it be deflected by falix's sword.
"Good to know. Now i have something to write on your tombstone. Ever since you captured tatsumi. I've been itching to cut that ugly mug off your neck. And how lucky i get to do it in an arena. Too bad there's only my friends, lovers and mine here to enjoy the show!" falix yelled as he readied his sword and gun.
"So you couldn't win tatsumi's heart…so you decided if you couldn't have him. No one can…how pathetic." i said. Esdeath looked at me in anger.
"White wing…there's something i wanted to ask you for a while…" esdeath said. I raised an eyebrow. "Why fight for the weak? You have incredible power. So why use it to protect the weak? When you could use it to make them bow before you? You could easily conquer anything. So why? I just don't understand." esdeath asked.
"Of course you wouldn't. A monster like you would never understand. I don't want power. I don't want to conquer anything. I want to live my life in peace. I joined with night raid to give hope to the people who live in constant fear. Fear that they'll be killed for no other reason because a vile captain could. Fear that they'll be used as means of amusement for some vile sadist. Or a disgusting pervert…i'll admit i hate killing. But it's a necessary evil. Because people like you and honest. I know you can't be reasoned with. There's no talking. There's no reasoning. Only killing. If we want to see positive change. It can only be done with a sword. If this empire is going to change for the better. Then the scum that made it that way have to die. And once you and budo fall. Honest and the scum that sided with him will learn…that they can't escape the consequences of their actions…they will suffer the punishment of their crimes. It's a good thing he and the emperor left. After i kill you. He's next to be sent to hell. Now you answer for all the innocent blood you spilled. Time to die. Monster of the empire." i said. As i readied angels hymn and raijin..
"I'm terrified by you…even though fear has no place in my heart…that's why you must be destroyed!" esdeath yelled as she readied her cutlass and teigu.
"Then face me! One last time!" I yelled. I clashed swords with esdeath. They gave off sparks as we tried to break each other's guards. Esdeath sweep kicked me. Only for me to land on my hands and give her a kick to the face. A storm of sharp icicles were thrown at me. I deflected all of them and gave a nice slash across esdeath's body. I got a slash across my back. I turned around to see an ice meteor. Coming towards me. I charged angel's hymn with energy and slashed through the ice meteor. Once again. Shattering it. Esdeath came at me ready to impale me with her rapier but i side stepped the attack. And cut off her arm. She quickly replaced it with one made of ice.
"Everything in sight will be encased in ice māpadma!" esdeath yelled. Once again time was frozen. I quickly broke out of it. But it turns out those few seconds were all she needed. As she stabbed me through the chest with her rapier.
"Auron!" i heard akame yell. I saw that vile grin on esdeath's face. It wouldn't be there for long.
"Oh. hell no!" i said as i grabbed the hilt of the rapier. I ripped out of my chest and rammed it right through the demon extract tattoo. "Mystical capture chain." i said as i snapped my fingers. Four sigils appeared and out came chains. Binding all four of esdeaths arms and legs. And holding up. I held up raijin to her face. It was time to keep my promise to the people of waldorf.
"Tatsumi…" esdeath said. That was her last word as I stabbed her through her wicked skull. The chains disappeared and I threw esdeath like the human garbage she was. I looked up to the sky.
"I hope all of you can find peace now." I said.
Falix pov.
I was knocked back by the lightning fired by budo. "Not bad. I could see why you were made a general." i said with a grin. Budo gritted his teeth in anger.
"Today! A powerful enemy of the empire falls! Solid shooter!" budo yelled. As he charged up and fired a huge beam of energy at me. As soon as it was close enough. I jumped out of the way. And with a quick air hike. I got a fatal blow. Cutting his head right off.
"That was the most unimaginative trump card ever. The name was bland. The attack itself was bland. A big laser. Ooh impressive. An attack you see literally everywhere in dragon ball." i said. I reverted and looked around to the damage. "Man. we caused some chaos huh?" i asked. I looked to see auron. With a look of seriousness on his face. "So. you get her?" i asked.
"Yep. esdeath will harm no one else ever again." auron said. Sounding empty. Auron always did sound empty after a kill. Not even the women he hated more than anyone would change that. But i have no problem with that. It's proof that he's not insane. I saw najenda approaching us.
"Well that was a spectacle. Two powerful imperial generals fell today. No doubt. That when the news of esdeaths well…death reaches the ears of our commanders and the empire. Our moral will raise. While the empires will plummet. To celebrate this. I'm giving the team an entire week to rest." najenda said with a smile.
"Score!" i yelled. As i pumped my arms.
"This is generous…but that's not the only reason is it?...the final battle is approaching? Isn't it?" auron asked.
"Yes…with esdeath gone. No doubt morale will rise. No doubt without esdeath. The revolutionary army will attack…the end is coming." najenda said.
"What's there to worry about? Esdeath is dead. Their most strongest fighters are either dead. Defected to our side. Or bailed. We have plenty of teigu users. I say we got this in the back." i said as i put my hands on the back of my head.
"Don't count your chickens before they hatch falix. I highly doubt esdeath was the only ace they had in this war." auron said.
"If they do. We'll destroy it like we did esdeath…wait. Aren't we missing a few people?" i asked. Everyone looked around and we saw that tatsumi. Sayo and mine were missing.
"Where did they go?" lubbock asked.
"We'll wait for them back at the hideout. We should get going before reinforcement arrives." akame nodded. And we all went back to the hideout. I think i got an idea on what's happening.
Tatsumi pov.
"Remind me again why we grabbed tatsumi and ran?" sayo asked.
"Probably wasn't a good idea to get in between any of those fights. The power there was insane. I doubt either of them needed our help. Besides. I think we got something important to discuss. Right sayo?" mine asked. Sayo nodded.
"Really. What?" I asked. My response was a kiss to both my cheeks from both mine and sayo.
"When you got captured. Both me and mine were worried about you. And that made us realize our feelings." sayo said with a beautiful smile. Both her and mine hugged me. I couldn't believe what was happening. But i was happy for it.
"Sayo. mine. Thank you…i love you both. But let's keep it at just us. I don't i think i have it in me to be auron or falix." i said. Both them giggled.
"Fair enough." both of them said. I smiled. At least with them. It's not one sided. Something esdeath failed to realize. These two are girls I truly love…right auron?
