"Alright, let's see here…" Callie said as they were back at the first island. "We got some weird as heck thing that Frye was guarding… would we consider this treasure?"

"Kelp if I know." Marie shrugged.

"We also learned that the captain here is a badass when she's on the field." Sun said.

"Wait a moment! You mean to tell me she wasn't mopey?" Octavio turned to face the back-to-moping Captain Three. "Is this an act?"

"What act?" She mumbled.

"...I have my eyes on you." He did the "I'm watching you" gesture. "...And now to make things worse, we got him to worry about!" He pointed to Azure.

"Yo. I heard you're helping us out this time." Azure said.

"Two guinea pig agents now…"

"Um, excuse me, I'm right here!" Ribbon waved. "Hello? I'm the new Agent Three! That would make three."

"Eh, you haven't impressed me yet."

Ribbon sweatdropped. "Rude!"

"Speaking of which, Marie here was mentioning that she called you up but you haven't responded to her texts." Coco said.

"Ah, yes… would you believe me if I said I was in the middle of a Big Run at Wahoo World?"

"Yeah, that checks out…" Marie chuckled.

"I was actually part of the clean up crew, along with a human that goes by… I think it was Cordy Brooks? Or was it Cordelia… nope, definitely Cordy."

"Brooks? As in like… Camrin and Chloe Brooks?" Velvet asked.

"I think so."

Velvet looked to Coco. "Their mom is here, of all places?"

"Eh, maybe she's a fan of Salmon Run." Coco shrugged.

"Who wouldn't be!" Ikura grinned before looking at Ribbon. "...Oh, wait."

"You trying to start something?" Ribbon glared.

Azure looked down at the small Salmonid that was near Ribbon's ankle. "I've never seen a friendly Salmonid before…" He mused. "Eh, I'm sure he'll be fine."

"Copy? …Copy! Can anyone hear me, over? Anyone listenin'? Do you read me! Over!"

"Wait, that sounded like…" Marie smiled. "It's gramps!"

"Gramps, where are you right now?" Callie asked.

"...Haven't heard from you in a while." Captain Three said.

"Callie, Marie! Original Agent Three! You're all okay!"

"Yeah, we're okay! …WAIT A MOMENT, we should be asking if you're okay! Are you okay?" Callie asked.

"Yeah, sure, I'm okay. I mean, I'm in some sort of dark room, which isn't exactly ideal."

"Not to mention vague as kelp." Octavio mumbled.

"Wait, is that Octavio? What the blasted kelp is he doing here! Oooh, when I find a way to break out of this room, I'm gonna come over there and clobber ya!"

"Still instigative, I see…" Azure mumbled.

"Don't do anything too rash! We're tracking your signal right now and we're on our way. Call us if you need anything!" Marie said.

"Will do!"

"Bruhahahaha! I can see his face now when I go in and save his tentacle hide!" Octavio chuckled. "Ooooh, I just thought of something sinister… I carry him out of there bridal style! Ohohohoho! The ultimate revenge!"

Captain Three sweatdropped. "I… got nothing to say to that…"

"Um… hello?" A female voice spoke up. "Can anyone hear me?"

"Huh?" Callie wondered. "Gramps, what did you do?"

"I think he managed to get into our comm links too…"

"Oh, that's just perfect! Sounds like the old fart needs saving!"

"Hey, I recognize those voices! Pearl and Marina, that you?"

"Azure? Oh goodness, it's been a while!" Marina said.

"Wait, Azure?!"

Azure's eyes widened. "Guys, get your ear pieces out of your ears!" He said in a panic as they did so out of curiosity.

"WHAT'S UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUP!"

The scream was enough to make their ear pieces turn into miniature Killer Wails.

"My word!" Oobleck exclaimed.

Captain Three blinked in surprise. "What in the kelp…?!"

"Glad to see you too." Azure said, putting his ear piece back in.

"So, apparently, I'm taking it that the old man unwittingly dragged us into another one of his messes?" Pearl asked.

"Yeah, pretty much…" Marie said.

"Do you need us to assist you? We can gladly come over to where you are. We even have Agent Eight with us and she can help out too!" Marina said.

"Actually, standby for now… but if we need ya, we'll let ya know." Azure said. "Oh, but maybe you could help out in researching what this… uh… what's this place called again?"

"Alterna." Namine said.

"Alterna!"

"Alterna… I'll see what I can dig up!" Marina said.

"I'll warm up my vocal cords!" Pearl grinned.

"Right. Stay fresh, you two." Azure said as he hung up on them.

"Soooo, I guess we have Off the Hook standing by? That's cool, I'm not complaining." Marie said.

"Considering that this Fuzzy Ooze is making me more and more nervous… I've a feeling we're gonna need all hands on deck for this one." Nagisa said.

"Alright, let's head over to the other island." Ikura said. "I'm sure we'll find something of value over there."

BGM: Two Shadows in the Sun (Splatoon 3)

"Okay… definitely looks a bit slippery here." Nick said.

"According to my calculations here, apparently this place is filled with cryogenics. It seemed as if humanity tried to preserve themselves here but didn't get inside in time." Marina said. "...Oh, sorry, I was tracking your locations."

"No no, it's okay. We'll figure things out and… try not to get caught in the Fuzzy Ooze." Marie said.

"By the way, there's some type of anomaly there. It shouldn't be too big but I'll keep an eye on it."

"Is it some type of treasure?" Coco asked.

"No, I'm not picking up on any sort of treasure on that island. I'll keep an eye on this… I'm getting a bad feeling."

"Ah, Marina. Relax! They'll be fine!" Pearl said.

"Probably a small earthquake." Jataro said.

"Mmm… we'll have to wait and see." Nagisa said as they went to the kettles.

"Hey, guys?" Magnolia caught Nick, Becky and Logue's attention. "You think we should form a team real quick?"

"Aren't we Team LAFF, though?" Nick asked.

"Yeah, but half the team's not here, especially our leader." Magnolia pointed out. "Sooooo…"

"I get to be team leader! Dibs!" Nick excitedly grinned.

"No, I came up with the idea, I'm team leader."

Nick slumped. "No fair…"

"Hmm…" Magnolia looked at the four, closing her eyes and then pounded her fist into her palm. "M-N-B-L!"

"What do you call that… Manblade?" Nick rolled his eyes.

"No. Mandible."

"Ooooh! I like that!" Logue grinned.

"So do I!" Becky smiled.

"...Better than what I came up with." Nick said. Seriously though, I have to listen to her? Some things never change…

"Alright, MNBL! Let's rock and roll!" Magnolia raised her fist in the air.

"Yeah!" The girls cheered.

"Wooo…" Nick unenthusiastically raised his fist. I know you're second in command of Team LAFF, but this is ridiculous…

"Ah, they grow up so fast… second in command, now a team leader. That's cute!" Coco giggled as they walked off.

World 3-1: Climbing the Corporate Splatter - Coco, Heavy, Mukuro, MNBL

"Three lives, activated."

BGM: Nine out of Tension (Splatoon 3)

"This whole lives thing is a bit silly, to be honest." Mukuro said.

"Eh, ORCA just wants to be dramatic." Coco said.

"...I beg your pardon?"

"Da. Heavy agrees with that sentiment." Heavy nodded as they walked through the gate where they were immediately greeted with Octotroopers on differing platforms.

"Here we go!" Magnolia smirked as they proceeded to charge ahead and shot at the Octarians as they tried to fight back, but were quickly overwhelmed, especially with Magnolia cutting through them with her Splatana.

They would then reach a wall with a dash track as they launched up… and then Heavy slammed down on an unsuspecting Octotrooper to crush it. "Ha! Little little octopus." He chuckled as they launched away from a Launch pad and landed on the ground, Heavy making a small crater as he did so.

"Hmm? What's this?" Mukuro wondered, picking up a device and throwing it on the ground, where a massive ink cloud formed and caused it to rain ink on the Octotroopers. "Oh, this must be Ink Storm."

"Eh, it's just a little rain, I doubt it can be that dangerous." Coco said, and then many Octotroopers exploded into ink after main ink drops splashed on them. "...Ooooor maybe it is!"

"Whoa… niiiiice!" Nick chuckled.

"Kind of like acid rain." Heavy said.

"...That's terrifying." Becky grimaced as they went up and walked through a narrow platform and turned around to see Octotroopers staring at them, only to get peppered by Coco and Heavy's miniguns, then they walked up through the ink and went up another dash track and made their way to the goal.

"That was pretty fun!" Logue smiled.

"Heck yeah, it was!" Magnolia agreed.

World 3-2: They Said We'd Have Flying Cars, and We Do! Kinda! - Callie, Azure, Oobleck, SSSN, Nagisa

"Three lives, activated."

"Eh…?" Azure wondered.

"Oh, don't worry. ORCA's just being dramatic." Callie said.

"It seems a bit morbid though…" Marina mused.

BGM: Flop to It (Splatoon 3)

"Anywho, this should be pretty fun!" Callie said as they walked out and were immediately greeted by Octozeppelins. "Oh cool, Octozeppelins!"

"Torpedo octopi? Oh boy…" Nagisa sweatdropped.

"Fascinating!" Oobleck said as they walked forward as Azure destroyed the tentacle up top, making an Octomissile explode.

"Oh, you can make them explode! Now that's more like it!" Sun said as they moved ahead, taking care of one Octozeppelin as they climbed up a platform and jumped over a gap with Scarlet shooting a tentacle.

"Man… I should've brought my Flingza." Callie said as she glanced over to see what Azure was holding. "Aaaand why do you have the L-3 Nozzlenose?"

"It was right there before I walked out of the station."

"Cool, cool…" Callie nodded. Of all the weapons he snags? Really? She chuckled as they climbed up the tower and hopped over a gap before they would see the goal right near them. "Aw man… looks like we have to go around it."

"Actually, there's no need." Sun clapped his hands to create a few clones as they made an impromptu step ladder. "We can easily-"

"Cheater!" ORCA yelled as a laser of ink slammed into Sun.

"Ack!" He yelped, falling on his butt before he was whisked away out of the kettle.

"Wait… what? Hold on, that's not right!" Marina protested.

"What the heck?!" Neptune exclaimed.

Outside…

"Cheater?! What the hell are you talking about!" Sun growled. "You kicked me out because of thinking outside the box?!"

"You are to go through it normally. Cheaters are to be kicked out of the kettle. No lives or a small fee of Power Eggs will get you back in there."

"Oh, you're just upset that I thought of an easier way!"

"I am a program. I do not feel upset. However, you-"

"Aaaaaand overridden!" Marina said. "Hop back in there, Sun. I'll make sure this weird human program doesn't try anything funny."

"Thanks!" Sun hopped back in.

"Who are you? What gives you the right to override my programming?"

"Hi, I'm Marina from Off the Hook and I'm not going to let you throw a hissy fit if they don't do what you want them to do."

"But-"

"No buts, mister!"

Back inside…

"That seemed hardly fair." Oobleck said.

"It's like he was making up the rules as we went along…" Nagisa mumbled as Sun returned.

"Phew! Alright, let's take it from the top!" Sun said, unleashing his semblance again as everyone climbed up and reached the goal after Neptune pulled Sun up.

World 3-3: Ink Wheels - Experience Tomorrow's Technology Today! - Mondo, Chihiro, Toko, Yatsuhashi, Fox

"Three Lives, activated."

BGM: Underwater Neon (Splatoon 3)

"I swear it likes being dramatic." Chihiro said.

"Yeah, agreed." Mondo nodded.

"You just noticed?" Toko deadpanned as Mondo kicked an Ink Wheel toward a Balloon Fish, causing it to explode and destroy the wall of boxes as they walked ahead and were met with a few Blobby Octotroopers that Fox destroyed by punching them.

Up ahead, Chihiro shot at a Soaker block as they climbed over it and then hopped down, then Toko shot at an Ink Wheel up on a platform, causing it roll over some boxes and hit another Ink Wheel, where it struck a Soaker Block and made a platform for them to cross as they went through, then Yatsuhashi charged through and slashed through the Octotrooper.

They then walked up and saw two Octosnipers at standby, where they immediately took cover when they noticed them, however one struck Toko in the head right as she was about to take cover, which, in turn, knocked her down.

"Oooh! That'll leave a mark." Chihiro winced.

"Two lives left, Toko."

At that moment, Toko sprang up, only… her tongue was sticking out.

"ALRIGHT, BITCHES! NOW IT'S MY TURN TO SHINE! KYAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" Jill immediately lunged toward the already terrified Octosnipers.

"Huh… is she part lizard?" Yatsuhashi wondered.

"Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if she actually was a lizard in a past life…" Mondo mused.

"And some of it just carried over? Didn't think that was possible." Chihiro said.

"I'd rather not find out…" Fox said as they walked off as Jill destroyed the Octosnipers and chased after them.

"Wait for me~!" She skipped sadistically toward them where Mondo kicked an Ink Wheel forward as it rolled up a wall where they followed it, only for Jill to pick it up and threw it at an Octotrooper, splattering it instantly. "KYAHAHAHAHAHAHA! YOU EXPLODE!"

"...She's having fun." Fox said.

"Eh, it's her thing… even if it's creepy." Mondo said.

"You're just jealous that I know how to have fun~!"

"What? No, that's not what I… oh, forget it…" Mondo shook his head as Jill went off and took care of two Shielded Octotroopers, tearing off one of their shields and bashing the other with it while Chihiro shot down the other one, then they went off to the final area… where Jill took off and took care of all the stragglers that tried to shoot her down.

"We can hardly keep up with her." Yatsuhashi sweatdropped.

"Yeah… that checks out." Chihiro chuckled as they reunited with her as Jill picked up an Ink Wheel and threw it at a balloon fish, causing it to explode and made a soaker block activate to make a bridge for them as they safely made it to the goal, all the while Jill was laughing hysterically.

World 3-4: Try Curling! Alterna's Eleventh Most Popular Athleisure Activity! - Namine, Jataro, Komaru, Velvet, Pyro, Engineer, Scout

"One life, activated."

One life? Namine raised an eyebrow.

BGM: Marine Machines (Splatoon 3)

"Curling?" Scout asked as he spotted a sign. "Like curlin' someone's hair?"

"Actually, they mean this." Namine pulled up a Curling Bomb.

"Oh, that kind of curlin'... wait, from the Winter Olympics? That sport sucks! It's so boring… let me know when they do baseball at one of those things."

"Eh, it's not for everyone." Engi said as they walked through as Namine stepped on a switch as it revealed a box up ahead.

"Ooooh, I see what we're doing here." She said as she threw the curling bomb over to it, where it exploded and destroyed the box. "Booyah!" She fist pumped as a Launchpad appeared as they launched away and landed on the ground.

When they landed, another switch appeared as they saw a few boxes in front of a tightrope. "Ooooh, let me try!" Jataro said as he aimed and let the curling bomb glide over the tightrope and destroyed the boxes. "Nailed it!"

The next one, they noticed some gates for the curling to rebound off of and into a small pit. Komaru got into position and threw it, bouncing off the walls and into the pit, destroying the boxes. "Woo! First try!" She fist pumped, high fiving everyone as they walked off.

Next up, they had platforms that spun around with two gates. Scout and Pyro looked at each other as Scout pulled out a Curling Bomb and tossed it in the air where Pyro airblasted it over and struck the boxes in an explosion.

"Mmmph mmph!"

"Hell yeah!" Scout high fived Pyro as they went to the next one where there were five boxes on some Octowashers. Engi pulled it out and had an idea.

"Let it simmer for a bit aaaand…" He threw it, where the Curling Bomb slowly glided to the middle platform and exploded all five when the Octowashers got close. "Woo! I was thinkin' that would have taken a few tries."

The last one had dash tracks aiming at a pyramid of boxes. Velvet materalized a curling bomb in her hand from her camera as she waited for the opportunity to have the dash tracks line up, and then she threw it, where the curling bomb jumped over the tracks and destroyed the pyramid. "Nice!" Velvet smiled happily as they headed for the goal, all of them looking rather pleased with themselves.

World 3-5: Conveyor-Belt Tightening - Junko, Leon, Soldier, Demoman, Medic, Spy

"Three lives, activated."

BGM: With Flying Colors (Splatoon 3)

"Alright, so, what are we doing here?" Leon asked.

"Well, let's find out." Junko said as they walked up, only to see an Ink Stick, a conveyor belt and multiple boxes to destroy.

"According to my calculations… zhat would be instant death or be extremely painful." Medic said.

"Not if I can help it!" Soldier said as they got on the conveyor belt as they started to destroy the boxes. However, Demoman and Soldier decided to turn around and destroyed the Ink Stick with their weapons.

"Cheaters!"

Two bright lights appeared above Soldier and Demoman.

"I don't think so!" Marina exclaimed, where the lights disappeared.

"Okay, talk to you later, God!" Soldier saluted.

"I don't think that was… ach, never mind." Demoman chuckled as they went back to destroying boxes until a big red one came down as they found it difficult to take out.

"Geez! How hard is it to destroy one box?!" Junko wondered.

"Hell if I know!" Leon said as they kept beating it up until it shattered.

"Finally. I thought it would never get destroyed." Spy said.

World 3-6: Time Trial and Errors - Marie, Sniper

"Three lives, activated."

BGM: Ride or Fry (Splatoon 3)

"You think the lives are a bit melodramatic?" Sniper asked.

"Yes." Marie agreed as they walked forward, hitting the Launch Pad and launching toward the ground, where target balloons appeared. Sniper tossed the Machina to Marie as he pulled out the Huntsman as Marie looked into the scope and fired at a few target balloons as Sniper fired a few arrows.

Several balloons appeared in a circle as Marie decided to do some quick shots out of the scope, but there was a click. "Huh?"

"Yeah, that's a bit of a weird one. It only works if you look into the scope." Sniper said, shooting an arrow.

"Ooookay, odd…" Marie shrugged as she looked into the scope and fired a few shots before they went ahead and shot more balloons in a straight line until the doors opened up as they took care of the remaining balloons that popped into existence.

"You got them all." ORCA said.

"Now that's how it's done!" Sniper smiled, high fiving Marie.

World 3-7: Rail Pass - Ribbon, Ikura, Ink Fresh

"Three lives, activated."

BGM: #35 Caught (Splatoon 3)

"Oh squid no, why am I paired up with you again?" Ribbon glared.

"Don't get the wrong idea, I wouldn't dream of being paired up with you. In all honesty, I'm keeping an eye on that little creep."

"The only creep here is you, squid bag!"

"Oh, that's how you wanna go?" Ikura glared.

"Girls, girls!" Sayaka got between them. "Your tentacles are both pretty! Let's just get through these ink rails without splatting each other into those ink stinks."

"Hmph!" Ikura walked off, hopping into the Ink Rail and swam away.

"That Inkling…" The Octoling growled. "I'm a nice squid, but that woman really likes to push my buttons…" She dove in after her.

"Yeah, Salmonids are bad and all, but that one doesn't act like he's deadly." Coral said.

"If anything, he's a sweetheart!" Titania added.

Sayaka sighed. "Yare yare…" She mumbled to herself as they went into the ink and swam through, avoiding the ink sticks as they jumped on the various ink rails and swam ahead, as Ikura powered through the ink sticks doing the wave and hopped down, as Ribbon did the same while Cari Bean shook the ink off of him, while Ink Fresh dropped down.

"Blegh… those Ink Sticks sucks…" Sayaka said as they went ahead where they would see Ribbon and Ikura competing by throwing Splat Bombs all over to activate the Ink Rails as they scrambled to get to the next one, causing the quintet to sweatdrop.

"Should we… intervene…?" Fugu asked.

"You want to get caught in that crossfire?" Star asked.

"I mean… it's better than getting splatted by those Ink Sticks."

"Fair!"

"Oh boy…" Sayaka said as they hopped into the ink rails as the competing Inkling and Octoling swam up and over, dodging the ink sticks while the Octosnipers aimed at them. Sayaka immediately squid jumped out to get their attention as she threw an Autobomb directly at them. However, it didn't get anything, but the Octosnipers pointed their snipers directly at the Autobomb as it fell into the abyss.

"That didn't get anywhere." Coral said as Sayaka formed back into her squid form midair and caught herself in the rail.

"I know, my throwing game sucks…" Sayaka sighed as they swam ahead to try and catch up with the two squids that were at each other's throats where they ran toward the goal as Ribbon grabbed it first.

"Got it!"

"Only because you tripped me!"

"Did not!"

Sayaka sighed. "We have got to get to the bottom of this…"

"Yeah." Her squad agreed.

Back outside…

"Hmm…" Captain Three mused. "Something feels off…"

"Probably just you." Octavio said as everyone hopped out of the kettles and fed Cari Bean as he quickly ate all the fuzzy ooze, finding a few Sunken Scrolls.

Sunken Scroll #8:

"Salmonids mature by returning to the waters where they were spawned. Sometimes, in very rare cases, a young Salmonid will stray too far from their original school during a run and become lost. Their wandering quest to return home can lead to prolonged starvation and an insatiable appetite."

"I dunno, I'd say this little guy's mature enough!" Ribbon smiled, giving her little bro a hug.

"Ugh…" Ikura rolled her eyes.

Sunken Scroll #9:

"Splatsville's rowdiest, loud-iest trio is hijacking the airwaves! Clean out those ears and open those eyes wide for your hometown hype squad, Deep Cut! Tune in and catch 'em—if you can!"

Becky grinned. "Already taken care of~!"

Sunken Scroll #10:

"A hungry blade, a sharp grin in a wild warrior's hand. It bites just once—a flash, a slash, a sudden shudder. Shredded remains sink down, down, down like falling snow. A fleeting flurry, brief as life itself, falls around my open parasol."

"Is that Shiver?" Velvet wondered.

"Could be her ancestor." Coco guessed.

Sunken Scroll #11:

"Moray Eel Manipulation: Secret Dances of the Onaga Clan

First: Soak the dry ground like a welcome summer rainstorm. Second: Stir up a whirlpool to summon winds from the rocky shore. Final: As a hundred eels take flight, follow them to the promised land."

"I… think they forgot a few steps." Nagisa said.

"Like how to properly tame them for one?" Namine chuckled as their phones/scrolls went off.

"Huh? What in…?" Azure wondered. "I didn't get a message?"

"Hang on, let me just forward this to you." Marina said, sending it to Azure.

"Alterna Log…? Huh… okay."

Alterna Log 003: A New Sky

As life in Alterna moved forward, one scientist discovered a new way to make liquid crystals from the bodily fluids of squids.

These new crystals could change color in response to faint and fleeting electrical signals emitted by living organisms.

To put that in more human terms...these crystals could read minds.

And then output imagery that matched the viewer's innermost thoughts.

Humans were enchanted with this new invention and began mass-producing the crystals.

Eventually, they lined the walls and roof of Alterna.

As the crystals absorbed the collective desires of those in Alterna, they assumed the appearance of the sky as it was seen on the surface long ago.

At last, after twenty five years of being confined beneath the Earth, humanity could once again look up and see the sky.

"I feel like there's a "But then…" somewhere." Coco said.

"Alright, let's go and-"

"Guys? Remember that anomaly I mentioned earlier? It's getting bigger!" Marina warned as the ground shook.

"Whooooa!" Komaru yelped.

"It's coming out of the water!"

BGM: Danger! There's Trouble! - Version 3 (Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX)

At that moment, a Squidzilla emerged from the water. "I thought I sensed a massive presence in my territory!"

"What's with the giant talking squid?!" Neptune yelled.

"Gee, a talking squid in a world filled with talking squid people. Imagine my shock!" Coco sarcastically said.

"It's bad enough that we got those fuzzy Octarians going around, but now it's you people who are allied with the Luminary! And those who are affiliated with those who are affiliated with the Luminary are also our enemies!"

"...What about those who aren't affiliated with them?" Octavio asked.

"If you do not have green eyes, you are an enemy!"

"...I had green eyes once. Looked in the mirror, put some eye drops in it, bashed my head into a wall… I was good as new!" Octavio said. Aside from a massive headache…

"Rest assured! These sites shall be ruled over by the true evolved sea creatures! The Monstrous Terrors of the Deep of Erdrea!"

"Ahem!"

The Squidzilla turned his eyes to see Dark Gryphons and Mothertoads giving him the stink eye, causing the Squidzilla to sweatdrop. "And… their fellow amphibian and bird/mammal monsters."

"Ha! You think you're gonna win?" Coco mocked.

"With the size of your group… that is why I'm separating all of you!" He slammed his tentacles on the ground, displacing everyone as barriers formed around them all, leaving CFVY, SSSN, Captain Three and Octavio to deal with the Squidzilla.

"What's the matter? Afraid that Namine would turn you into calamari?" Coco taunted. "Well, whatever, we're still gonna kick your sorry ass!"

Squidzilla roared. "We shall see about that!"

At site four…

Shiver was looking through a pair of binoculars. "What in the squid…?" She wondered as she pulled out a walkie talkie. "Frye, Big Man… are you seeing this?"

"Oooogh… my head's still spinning, give me a sec."

"Ay!" (Can't talk right now! I've got a problem at my site!)

"What?!" Shiver said in surprise before returning to looking back at the third site. "Mmm… do I go after them or take pride as a treasure hunter… side with potential treasure hunters or…"

Shiver clenched her fists. "Screw it. That big guy's probably after my treasure too! And judging by its size, I'd say it's a Water type, which means…" She immediately took a running start and jumped off, heading straight for the water as she put her fingers into her mouth and whistled.

Back with the others…

Coco smirked, pulling out a radio and tossing it to Octavio. "Yo, squid boy. Hit the play button on this!"

"Uh… okay." Octavio nodded, pressing the play button after he set it down.

Terror of the Deep - Squidzilla

"Ooooh, I can jam out to this! It's not as beautiful as Calamari Inkantation, but it's pumping me UP!" Octavio exclaimed.

Captain Three rolled her shoulders. "Let's do this!"

"You think music will help you out on winning, you are wrong!" Squidzilla declared, swinging his tentacles as they all avoided it as Neptune stabbed a tentacle to electrocute him but he shook it off while Coco proceeded to let ink bullets fly.

"Lock and load, bruhahahahaha!" Octavio exclaimed as Velvet gave him Tenta Missiles and let it rain hell on him as Squidzilla blocked this with his tentacles and then breathed fire, then swung his tentacles, where Yatsuhashi countered and then ran up on a tentacle together with Sage, both of them swinging their swords into him before backflipping.

The Squidzilla raised a tentacle and swung it down, but Fox countered with a hard punch, sending it flying into the Squidzilla's face. "I'm not like most Squidzillas!" He said as he spat out a dark fog to blind them… however, Captain Three squid jumped out of the fog and landed right on top of the Squidzilla's mouth, pulling out a Splat Bomb and shoved it in there as it blew up.

"Mmmph!" Squidzilla growled as Captain Three backflipped off and shot him with the Tentatek Splattershot while the fog disappeared as Coco fired lasers into him, then Velvet ran to him, selecting Summer's daggers as she swiftly impaled them into his face, then she backflipped, switching to Sarge's shotgun and shot him in the face as she shifted her eyes to see a tentacle swinging at her as she backflipped, switching to Crescent Rose as she split it in half and swung it down to sever said tentacle.

"Hasta la squid, baby!" Octavio said, now holding a Trizooka and shooting him dead center.

"Has anyone seen Neptune?" Sun asked, shooting him in the eye together with Scarlet.

"I haven't!" Scarlet said, ducking to avoid a tentacle swinging at him.

"Hold still!"

"You know what they say! The bigger they are, the slower they are!" Sun taunted.

"Yeah, because that totally works out for Bowser." Coco rolled her eyes, where they would see a pillar of water emerging from behind Squidzilla as Neptune was standing on top of it.

"Hey big guy!" Neptune said as he turned around, only to get struck by a torrent of water that knocked him back a bit as Neptune jumped off and splashed the water all over him before he grinned and electrocuted him again.

Squidzilla roared. "I wlll not be defeated by some humans!" He declared as he unleashed a powerful laser coming from his mouth, only for another laser to counter it and pushed it back to strike the Squidzilla.

"You talk tough, but you don't seem that powerful to me!" A voice said as they turned to see Shiver casually sitting. "Yo!" She waved. "Now then, be a dear and use Solar Beam again, Torterra."

"Torterrrrrrr!"

"Where'd she get a Torterra?!" Coco asked as Torterra unleashed Solar Beam on the Squidzilla.

Squidzilla growled, unleashing a fiery breath attack on the Torterra. "Grass type Pokemon are weak to fire!"

"Hmm, true… but this one's part Ground, sooooo…" Shiver shrugged. "Earthquake!"

Torterra slammed its foot on the ground, creating an earthquake that made Squidzilla stumble a bit while everyone else held on, then Coco charged up and fired lasers into him as Squidzilla groaned, looking rather weak. "You… you…"

Velvet handed Captain Three a Trizooka as she and Octavio looked at each other and with a nod, they fired at him. "Stay fresh!" Captain Three declared.

"This is where you cross fade to black!" Octavio declared as the Squidzilla fell flat on his back in defeat.

"Ya know, if he decided to fight the less stronger folk, he wouldn't have lost." Coco said. "...Though if he targeted MNBL, you bet your ass I'll protect them."

"Don't… think you've won… even if I end up as takoyaki, our other commanders will… destroy you and they will go after those Octarians and Deep Cu-"

"Aaah, shut up!" Captain Three said, throwing down three Inkstrikes to finish him off.

"Talk about delaying the inevitable." Octavio pointed to Captain Three. "And I KNEW you were pulling an act on me!" He said, causing Captain Three to roll her eyes.

"Soooo uh… where did you-"

"What, you thought I wouldn't hear about a portal at Inkopolis that would take me to different worlds and I wouldn't use the opportunity to go to the world of Pokemon? Trust me, I've got a whole team." Shiver said casually after interrupting Coco.

Coco sweatdropped. "...Oookay then." She said where Shiver glanced over and spotted Becky who was currently in fangirl mode.

"Hey." She gave her a sup nod.

"H-hey…!" Becky grinned.

"Mayday, mayday. This is a code red. Can you hear me, over?"

Ikura immediately pulled out her phone, putting it on speaker. "Boss, that you?"

"Yes, it's me. We need you over at Splatsville. Not just you, but your friends as well."

"What's going on?"

"Remember that rumor about Inkblot Academy? The Salmonids are invading that spot."

"What?!"

Shiver gasped. "No… some of my art I submitted for my class is in there…"

"There's also a high chance that the city is about to get hit too. We're gonna need all hands on deck for this one. I'm sending in multiple helicopters to your location, and I'll bring one over for Deep Cut as well."

"But what about the treasure down here?"

Mr Grizz let out a hearty laugh. "Don't worry. Your treasure will be safe when you get back."

They heard the sounds of helicopters flying into their locations. "Looks like our ride's here." Marie said.

"Alriiiiight! We get to deter Salmonids! Let's rock and roll!" Callie cheered.

Ribbon looked at Cari. "Stay in the backpack, okay?" She asked as Cari nodded, hopping inside and zipping it up as the helicopters landed as everyone hopped on.

"...Anyone else thinking this is entirely convenient that Grizzco's sending helicopters?" Azure asked suspiciously.

"Yeah, Mr. Grizz might be a little shady, but there's no possible way that he's straight up evil! I believe in him. He knows what he's doing." Ikura said proudly as the helicopters flew off while the other two went to pick up Frye and Big Man.

Deep in the shadows, Mr. Grizz watched on.

"Good. They're all leaving. This will make my plans go undeterred from this point on."

He closed his eyes.

"Forgive me, Ikura... you may be my top employee, but this is something that is not meant for your eyes."
