Weee back already! My brain was shooting off rapid fire ideas for this story, I wrote chapters 6 and 7 in just three days! I haven't done a triple update since I only had one story to work on!
GoddessxNyte2, I would LOVE to make Cobra the love interest, but it just wouldn't work for this story. I loved your review and it made me want to write Cobra and Lucy, so now I'm starting another story. I added a little somethin' to this chapter for you and me, because yes, we love bad boys here.
Lucy watched happily from her seat outside of the training grounds as Sting battled with Alzack. Rogue was next to her reading a book with both of the exceeds sleeping on his lap, and she was internally squealing at how adorable they all were. It had been a few days since Sting's match with Vigeeter, and Lucy had given all four of the boys their guild marks after they ate ice cream. Rogue and Sting got theirs on their left shoulders, white for Sting and black for Rogue. Lector and Frosch got them on their backs with each of them matching their friend, white for Lector and black for Frosch. She was so happy for them.
Macao had contacted the magic council for her and after a lot of persuasion and paperwork, he was able to get them to agree to a visit with Cobra. Her appointment was tomorrow, and she was beyond nervous. She would be leaving the boys with the guild while she was gone, it would only be a few hours. Sting had complained that he didn't want to be left with a bunch of stinky old drunks, but a few small threats and he was more than happy to stay at the guild.
"Miss Lucy?" Rogue asked quietly.
She tore her gaze away from the bright flashes in front of her to smile gently at Rogue. "Yes, Sweetie?" She had no idea why he continued to call her that even after they've lived together for a week, but she just couldn't get him to break the habit. Maybe one day.
"What does this word mean?" He tilts the book towards the blonde and pointed to the word.
"Begrudgingly? It means to do something you don't want to, like hesitant or unwilling to." She explains. She loved that he'd come to like books since he had never gotten to read one before, she found it to be a way of bonding whenever he asked her for help with words he didn't recognize. He still did really well for someone who was taught the basics of how to read and write by a dragon, and then having to learn everything else by himself.
"Thank you." He gives a small smile before returning to his book.
"You're welcome." She gently pats him on the head before turning to watch the fight again. So far Sting has been kicking ass left and right, she was so proud of him. Yesterday he had fought Wakaba, then before that was Nab. Everyone seemed so eager to try and beat the young mage. What they didn't know- and what Lucy found to be hilarious- is that Sting still hasn't used all of his moves yet. She's assuming he's holding back because he doesn't want to hurt them, but she hasn't seen his Holy Breath or his Dragon's Claw at all. It was probably for the best, his old Holy Breath did a good amount of damage already, she's a little nervous to see how strong it was after the lacrima implant.
"White Dragon's; Roar!" Sting bellowed, the laser colliding with the Tornado Shot that was speeding towards him. The strong wind caused the light to shoot off in every direction, ricocheting off of the rune barrier and hitting the ground. Dust filled the air and Sting used his advanced hearing to listen for the Gun Mage. When he heard quick footsteps to his left, he turned and lifted his arm, opening his palm and shooting quick bursts of magic towards the noise.
The blasts shot through the dust cloud and cleared it just enough for Sting to see him sprinting. He tried to aim where he thought Alzack might be next, but he kept missing. He needed to get out of the cloud, Alzack was using it to take the upper hand. That sneaky old man, taking advantage over someone who lacks in experience. He'd show him that it doesn't matter, he'll blast him away with his Holy Breath! He'd like to see him try to dodge an attack that big.
As Sting was about to use his special move, Alzack suddenly appeared out of the smoke with his guns aimed at Sting. "Shadow Shot!" He yelled, shooting the dark magic out of his weapon.
Sting watched as the shadows hurdled towards him, and his eyes widened. No, he was coming. Neerus was going to take him away again, his shadows are trapping him. They're so fast, and Sting was terrified. The shots flew passed him, barely grazing his skin before another shot was fired and more darkness filled his vision. He didn't want to go back, he couldn't.
Lucy shot up from her seat when she heard the piercing scream coming from the cloud of dust. She recognized it right away and ran towards him, through the rune barrier that thankfully only blocked magic and not people. "Sting!" She called, rushing towards the now visible boy. She pulled Alzack away when he walked too close to Sting, and she kneeled down next to him. "Sting, hey, are you okay?" She asked, frowning at his harsh trembling.
Sting flinched when someone touched him and he grabbed his hair, his eyes squeezed shut. "P-Please, no more." He whimpered. He couldn't stop the words that he wished he could say before, flashes of Neerus' wicked smile appearing behind his closed eyes. "I'm sorry.."
Lucy's eyes widened in realization; he was having a panic attack. He had been fine for so long that she didn't think this would happen. "It's okay, Sting. I'm right here, he's not going to hurt you." She whispered, tears forming when he tried to pull away.
"W-What's wrong with him?" Rogue asks worriedly, kneeling next to Lucy.
"I think he's having a panic attack from the shadows." She quietly tells him, slowly bringing Sting closer and wrapping her arms around him.
"From shadows?" Rogue frowned. He hadn't used his magic at all since they escaped, so he supposed that Sting hasn't seen any shadow magic since the incident, and that he didn't have anything to trigger his fear. He remembered Sting telling him how Neerus used Rogue's magic to capture them, so he understood why Sting freaked out.
"It's okay, Sting, I'm here. It's me, Lucy." She cooed softly, gently rocking him to try and ease him. She felt him shake his head and try to pull away again, and she couldn't stop the tears from falling.
"Please, I-I'm scared." It was so dark, he could only hear the distant cackling of Neerus. He tried to use his magic to light up the area, but it didn't work. He thrashed against whatever force Neerus was using to hold him down, terror rippling through him when he couldn't move. He was going to take it; cut him open and take his magic. Neerus was going to kill him, he needed help. Please, anyone!
Lucy flinched when she was burned again by his magic, her tears falling freely as she tried to soothe him. "He's not here, he's dead. You're okay." She whimpered. His trembling eased slightly and his grip on his hair loosened enough for her to gently move his hands away from his head.
There was a faint light and a soft voice, was this his saviour? The cold and harsh bindings turned warm and soft and he furrowed his brows. "Lucy?" He asked hopefully.
"Yes, it's me." Lucy sniffled, hugging him a little tighter as his trembling finally subsided and he relaxed in her hold.
"I was so scared." He whispered, burying his face in her neck as tears slipped down his cheeks.
"I know, I'm here now. You're safe." She hushed him, running her fingers through his hair. She frowned when some of his hair clung to her fingers and fell to the ground. He must have been holding on pretty tight.
"I'm so sorry." Alzack said quietly as he kneeled down next to them. "I just thought... since he's a Light Dragon..." He sighed and ran a hand through his hair.
"I understand." Lucy turns her watery smile to the worried man. "It's not your fault, you had no way of knowing."
He slowly nodded. "If there's anything I can do, let me know."
She sniffled and copied his nod. "Thanks, he just needs some quiet is all." She watched as he stood and bowed before taking his leave, Bisca jogging over to him. Lucy had no idea that he had that magic, or that it would trigger Sting like that.
"It was so fast." Sting mumbled, pulling away from the hug and wiping his face.
"I know, Sweetie. Let's take a break from fighting for a bit, okay?" When he nodded, she gathered him in her arms before standing. She could have sworn he wasn't this heavy a week ago, but whatever. She needed to get him somewhere quiet.
The train ride to the council was quiet as the two Dragon Slayers slumbered. After yesterday's incident, she didn't want to leave Sting alone. She didn't necessarily want to bring him along either, but it was the better option. And of course she couldn't leave Rogue alone in a guild full of people he didn't know, so she took him along as well. She didn't want to risk him panicking the same way Sting did, she would never forgive herself if she wasn't around to help him.
"I promise I'll be as quick as I can." Lucy promised as she knelt down in front of the two boys that were seated in the waiting area. "Cobra... isn't the easiest to talk to. Or, so Natsu says. I've never talked to him."
Sting slowly nodded, his eyes flicking between the unknown faces nervously. "Do you have to leave?" He mumbled.
She sighed and grabbed his hand. "I'm sorry, but I need to know all I can about lacrima. He's the only option I have, I've already tried to look for Laxus." She grabbed Rogue's hand as well and gave them both a reassuring smile. "This is the safest place you can be, I promise you'll be okay. It'd be more dangerous with me, actually." She chuckled lightly.
"Please be safe, Miss Lucy." Rogue squeezed her hand. He was getting more comfortable around her, not even blinking when she was affectionate. It took a few days to get used to as he wasn't familiar with how touchy some people can be, but he's grown to love her soothing hands and warm hugs.
"Always." She nods, giving their hands one final squeeze before standing and taking her leave. She followed a Rune Knight down a hall and her heart hammered in her chest. She hoped that he was willing to at least give a little information. It wasn't likely since it was her guild who put him in jail in the first place, but he's all she had. Tracking down Laxus' dad would be even harder than tracking down Laxus himself.
They stopped in front of a door that had two guards on either side of it. "If there's anything you need, I will be across the hall watching the lacrima vision that is inside for your safety." The Rune Knight informed her sternly, holding out a small metal object to her.
She nodded her head and held out her hand, raising an eyebrow when he dropped a small key in her palm. "Thank you." She placed the key in the pocket of her shorts before taking a deep breath. With a slightly trembling hand, she grabbed the handle and pushed open the door. The purple eyes that glared at her across the room sent shivers down her spine, her body tensing as his head lifted to get a better view of his visitor.
"Well, well, look who we have here." He sneered, clenching his fists as he watched her enter the room before closing the door behind her.
"Hello, Cobra." Lucy said as she straightened her back. He didn't seem too pleased to see her, which didn't surprise her. She made her way closer to the table, pulling out the chair across from him before sitting down.
"The fuck do you want, Fairy?" He snapped.
She was proud of herself for resisting the flinch at his anger. He was definitely intimidating, even in his magic concealing bindings. "I need your help."
He scoffed, leaning back in his chair and resting his hands on his lap. "You expect me to help you after you put me in here?"
She bit her cheek in nervousness as his intense stare never left her. "Technically it was the Rune Knights that put you in here, Natsu only beat you in a fight." This time she did flinch when he leaned forward quickly, baring his canines at her.
"And technically, I don't give a fuck. It was all of you Fairy Freaks that ruined our plans." His eyes averted as he ground out, "Plus, Salamander didn't beat me, Brain did."
She slowly nodded, unsure about his sudden mood change. "Right, Natsu mentioned that."
He looked back over to her with a frown. "I'm surprised he's not with you for protection."
Lucy felt her jaw clench, but she remained calm. "Him and a bunch of other Fairy Tail members have been missing for the passed four months."
His eyes widened in surprise at her words, then he couldn't stop himself from grinning. "Serves you fucking right." He snickered at the pain that flashed in her eyes. Damn, what he would give to hear the sadness in her pathetic soul.
"Right, we'll make sure to let the bad guys take control next time." She drawled, noticing the small quirk in his brow at her words.
"You must be pretty fucking desperate to come to someone like me." He said, relaxing against the back of his chair.
"It's pretty much the only option I have. Well, at least the option that gives me a higher chance of survival." She sighed. He seemed to be observing her, and it made her a little uneasy. That is, until it clicked; he was trying to listen in on her, but he couldn't with his cuffs.
"How cute, I feel like the sweetest boy ever now." He rolled his eyes.
"Look, Cobra," Lucy said as she folded her hands on the table. "This is very important to me, so I'm willing to do a little trade."
He rose an eyebrow, intrigued by her words. "How do you plan on doing a favour for me? You gonna break out all of the Seis?"
She smiled sweetly, reaching into her pocket and grabbing the key. She placed it on the table with her hand covering the small metal piece. "I can't do anything illegal, but I have something else you might like." When his eyes flickered between her face and her hand, she knew she got him. "I've noticed the way you keep looking at me."
He scoffed and shook his head. "It's tempting, but I don't think you want an audience while I fuck you." He grinned when she gasped, a blush appearing on her cheeks.
"I-I didn't mean looking at me like that!" She squeaked, shaking her head to try and will her blush away.
"There's no other way to look at you, Busty." He snickered, his eyes roaming over her chest.
"My eyes are up here!" Sh waved with her free hand.
"I know." He smirked, looking back up to her annoyed face.
"You like listening to souls, right?" She asked in frustration, trying to change the topic.
"I love hearing people's pain, all their deepest and most fucked up secrets that can't be heard in just the mind." He raised his hands to show off his bindings. "But I haven't heard them in a long time. Have fun convincing Capitan Dipshit to agree to taking these off though." He huffed, his hands landing heavily against the table. She lifted her hand from the table and his eyes honed in on the small piece of metal that laid beneath, and they nearly bugged out of his skull at the sight of the key.
"I'll give you a chance to listen in on all the souls your ears can reach in exchange for information." She said easily, her face finally cooling down.
"How the fuck..." He breathed, unbelieving of the sight in front of him.
"There's a reason this meeting took a week to set up." She smirked, crossing her arms under her chest.
"What information?" He looked back up at her, his eyes narrowing.
"I need to know everything you know about Dragon Slayer lacrima." She watched as his face morphed into confusion.
"Why do you care about those lacrima? I was told they don't exist anymore." He frowned.
"Some psycho was making them and infused one into two people. I need to know if there's anything specific that needs to be done." She explains, holding back her rage at the thought of Neerus.
"I guess it would depend on the way it was transferred into the body." He remembered his procedure too vividly, that creepy ass smile that haunted his dreams as he was cut open.
"I don't know all the details, I got the basics from one of them. He said he was..." She closed her eyes and took a calming breath. "He said he was cut open, but that's all he told me." She ground out.
He eyes her for a moment as his mind ran with different thoughts. "Bring them to me and let me listen, I'll be able to get a better view of what happened to them." Then he could also get all of the juicy details of how these two pricks were tortured.
"Like hell will I bring them near you." She snapped, sending him a deathly glare.
"If you don't want my help, that's fine." He shrugged. It was shitty that he wouldn't be able to hear any souls, but he was already being way too nice to this bitch.
"Fuck." She seethed, pinching the bridge of her nose. She was definitely in a bind here; it was already dangerous enough for her to offer to remove his cuffs while they were alone, but he wanted to have them off while her family was in here? She really didn't want to, but she knew that they had a lacrima recording in the room to make sure she was safe, and Sting and Rogue could handle their own in a fight. It was risky, but she didn't have much of a choice. "I'll be back." She stood from her seat, snatching the key from the table and shoving it into her pocket.
"I'll be waiting." He smirked.
She rolled her eyes and turned to take her leave, opening the door and practically slamming it behind her. "I'll be back in five minutes." She informed the guard before she stormed down the hall and towards the waiting room. She knew that Cobra would be pretty stupid to attack them, but that didn't stop the fear that was nagging in the back of her mind. Sting and Rogue are Dragon Slayers, she'd tell them to keep their sharp eyes locked on to Cobra's every movement.
"Oh, you're back so soon." Rogue says as he spots her walking closer to them, Sting looking up from the comic book he was reading.
"I'm not done yet." She sighed, kneeling down in front of them. "I need a huge favour from you two." She gives them a worried look.
"What is it?" Sting asks with a small frown.
"I need you to come with me to see him." She rubbed at her forehead in annoyance. "He says it's so he can know all of the details about the procedure."
Sting shook his head and Rogue shrunk in his seat. "I thought you said he's a dangerous criminal." Sting said in confusion.
"He is." She groans, her head dropping in defeat. "But I know that I can count on you two to keep us all safe." She lifts her head and gives them a reassuring smile. "He's crazy, but he's not stupid."
Rogue timidly plays with the book in his hands. "Why does he need to know the details?" He mumbled.
"He said it would help him understand how dangerous the lacrima is." She explained. "You won't even have to say anything."
Sting and a Rogue looked at each other nervously, almost as if they were silently communicating. Sometimes it freaked Lucy out when they did that, especially since they've only been living together for a week.
"We'll come." Sting nods, looking back over to Lucy. "And we'll protect you." He smiles.
She smiles back and ruffled each of their hair. "You'll get a great reward, promise." She stood once more, watching as the two boys stood and put their books in their bags before carefully pulling them on. Each backpack contained their exceed partner since they didn't want the two small cats to get lost. She led them down the hall, keeping them close so they didn't get separated. When they stopped in front of the door, the guards looked at her weirdly.
"Ma'am, are you sure you want to bring children in there?" One of them asked cautiously.
"I am." She definitely wasn't, but she didn't have much of a choice. She was lucky that Cobra was even speaking to her in the first place. When the guard nodded, she opened the door and entered.
"What the fuck is this?" Cobra growled when he saw the trio enter.
"They're the ones you asked to see." She furrowed her brows in confusion, closing the door behind them.
"They're just kids." He pressed, glaring at the blonde as she sat in front of him once more.
"Uh, sorry?" She didn't know he would be so upset about the age.
"Fuck, and you two got that lacrima?" They both nodded shyly, and he let out a heavy sigh. "Even I was sixteen before I got mine. Why the fuck would you want something like that?"
They moved closer to Lucy at his harsh words. "We didn't... want it." Sting mumbled.
Cobra felt his jaw clenched in anger. He knows what it's like to get that shit implanted unwillingly, and these two were just fucking kids. There were some sick fucking people out there. "You didn't deserve that shit." His lip curled into a snarl.
Lucy's eyes widened at his words. He was angry because they were kids when they got their lacrima? He had mentioned only minutes before that he enjoyed people's suffering. "No, they didn't." She frowned.
Cobra sighed heavily and leaned forward so his bound wrists were closer to the blonde woman. "Take these off." When she glared at him and opened her mouth to speak, he clicked his tongue in annoyance. "I don't hurt kids, Bitch. Take these off before I change my mind about helping you."
Even though his words were full of hate, she saw the sincerity in his eyes. She supposed even mass murderers had boundaries. "Okay." She dug the key from her pocket and brought it closer to the cuffs, hesitating only for a moment before she inserted the key.
Noise instantly flooded Cobra's mind as soon as the cuffs were deactivated, and his eyes shut in bliss. He could even hear Lahar getting his asshole ripped into pieces by the council for his latest fuck up, beautiful. One of the guards keeping watch just outside of the door was internally crying about his wife cheating on him because he has a tiny dick. Another guard had lost all of his money while gambling the previous night, and he was terrified to tell his girlfriend. The pain that everyone felt was so-
His eyes shot open, staring at the two boys in shock. Not only were they already true Dragon Slayers, but they saw that son of a bitch. The blonde Slayer kept thinking about that sinister smile that Cobra would never forget. That fucker was still doing shit like this. "Neerus." He growled.
Lucy narrowed her eyes. "So you saw their memories already?"
He shook his head, threading his fingers in his hair in frustration. "I just saw what Blondie Junior was thinking about. I know Neerus." He spat, tugging the maroon locks for a moment before releasing his hold.
"You... but how?" She asks in surprise.
"He was the same asshole that implanted mine. I'll never forget that sick pleasured look he got while he cut me open." Cobra's hands drop to the table as more memories came full force from their souls. Cobra liked torture, sure, but he didn't get off on it. He thought it was hilarious to see people in pain, and only if they were grown ass adults. Anyone under the age of sixteen was off of his shit-list.
"I'm sorry you had to go through that." Rogue muttered, his eyes downcast.
Cobra eyed the Shadow Mage as memories flooded in, and his fists clenched tightly. The sick fuck would mess with him when he was bored while he was looking for another Dragon Slayer.
"Please." Rogue cried, tugging harshly at his bindings as the sinister cackle rang through the room.
"Please, what? Use your words, Dear." Neerus grinned, spinning the blade in his hand.
"Please, stop. I'll do anything." He sobbed, his red eyes never leaving the whimpering green cat held in Neerus' other hand.
"Anything? Such a good boy." He cooed, tossing the cat back in the small cage he was pulled from. He locked the cage before sauntering over to the trembling boy. He held the knife to Rogue's throat, a pleased hum leaving him. "I want you to sing for me."
Rogue furrowed his brows. "W-What?"
Neerus sneered and stabbed the chair just beside Rogue's head. "Sing me a song, or I'll make your little kitty cry all night long until it can no longer move."
Rogue flinched, letting out a small cry of fear. The only song he knew was one that he heard a mother sing everyday when he lived in an alley a year ago. "W-When you.. wish.. upon a s-star..." He whimpered, tears slipping down his cheeks as Neerus let out a contented sigh.
"My mother used to sing that." He hummed. "She was singing it when I ran up to her with that knife." He giggled.
"Please let me go." Rogue sobbed.
"I didn't say stop!" He sneered, slapping the boy roughly across the cheek.
Cobra shook his head to rid the memory from his mind. "Stop thinking about that shit." He sighed, dragging his hand through his hair.
"Sorry.." Rogue whispered nervously.
"Don't fucking apolo- whatever." Cobra huffed. "Look, because the lacrima was implanted while they had the cuffs on, it didn't get to properly fuse with their magic origin."
Lucy nodded. "Yeah, we knew that much."
"When they let out that big burst of magic, it was enough for the origin and the lacrima to do a basic fusing, but it's still not good enough." He explained.
"What do we do?" She leaned forward slightly.
"Little Blondie has been doing fine, but it's Mini Emo that you gotta worry about." He pointed to the Shadow Dragon.
Lucy felt her eye twitch at the nicknames, but she chose to ignore it. "What has Rogue been doing wrong?" She grumbled.
"He's not using his magic. You gotta use your magic to properly activate the lacrima. If it doesn't get activated, it can't properly fuse." His hand rested on the table once more. "You wait too long and that thing is gonna blow if you suddenly use it out of no where. You gotta warm up to it."
She nodded in understanding. "Is that all we have to do? Are there any specific side effects?"
Cobra groaned and rubbed a hand over his face. "You sure ask a lot of questions."
She leaned a little closer. "Please, I don't want them to get hurt."
He stared into her desperate eyes, her anguish about the two Slayers and her guild flooding his mind. Her sobs of pain about her guild echoed in his mind, and he appreciated the way she called out for that stupid Salamander. He was a little surprised to see an image in the depths of her soul, one that she seemed to be fighting. Between her other pathetic memories of her crying, he didn't expect to see such a vivid picture of her slicing off Neerus' fucking balls. That shit was too funny. "Their senses will be heightened more than they already are; Hearing, smell, and eyesight. It might come slowly, it might show up randomly. At the way these two are going, Little Blondie will have his senses slowly enhanced as he uses his magic, but Mini Emo might get it suddenly since he's been avoiding using magic." The memory of her calling out to Sting filtered in and he sighed. "They'll get sick randomly for the first few month as their body adjusts, there may be some blood in their puke, but it's normal. Well, for me it was."
Lucy nodded again as she mentally tucked away the information. "They've both gotten sick in the last week, Rogue more than Sting. That explains a lot." Cobra was being extremely helpful, she wondered why he was suddenly cooperating so well.
Another memory flooded in his mind, this time from the smaller blonde. It seems just the mention of being sick was enough to bring up a dark memory, these fucking kids have been through too much at their age.
Sting had been trying to sleep off his fever in the woods when he was suddenly awoken by hands on his arms. His eyes shot open and his blue eyes met heated yellow ones. Sting managed to slip out of his grasp, but he only made it a few feet before he became lightheaded and collapsed.
"Leave me alone!" Sting growled, his fever burning hot and making him sweat profusely as the man slowly approached him. He couldn't use his magic like this.
"Don't be afraid, Little Guy, I just wanna play." The man chuckled, cracking his knuckles before reaching out to the small boy.
"No!" Sting cried out when the man lunged, pinning his small body to the ground. His wicked smile filled his blurry vision, and Sting struggled weakly against his hold.
"Be a good boy." The man rasped, leaning his face closer to the blonde.
Sting felt a sudden surge of energy when the man leaned closer, and he did the first thing that came to mind. His teeth bit into the man's cheek, his canines sinking into the flesh as the man screamed in pain. He felt the punches to his ribs, but he didn't relent. His jaw tightened more and more until the man pulled away, his hand pressed tightly to his face as blood seeped between his fingers.
"You-" The man started, only to grunt in surprise when he was kicked away.
Sting glared down at the man, panting and dizzy from the fast movements. His eyes trailed to a stick on the ground, and he grabbed it. The man looked up at him in fear as a snarl curled the blonde's lip, raising the stick high before stabbing it into the man's throat.
Damn, these kids were all kinds of fucked up. No wonder they were scared of new people. Tuck that one away as 'Don't dig deeper', which was a very small list, mind you. That kid really knew how to use his Dragon teeth to his advantage. "They might also get really hormonal, even worse since they're currently going through puberty." He finished.
"Got it." She smiled brightly. "Thank you so much for your help, it means a lot to me."
He shrugged, kicking his feet up on the table. "Think of it as a reward for killing Neerus." He decided not to elaborate on who killed Neerus, as he heard her little lie. It wasn't that he cared about her privacy, but the Shadow Dragon had another little voice inside of him that was off. It seemed out of place there, and it wasn't a good thing.
"Well, you ended up helping us a lot more than I thought you would. I actually had a second offering in case you didn't want to talk." She chuckled, reaching into her back pocket.
He rose an eyebrow as he tried to dig through her soul for what it was. He was confused when all he heard was static, how the hell was she able to block him out? She pulled something out and placed it on the table like she did with the key, and he looked up at her smirking face curiously. Her hand lifted and he looked down, only to choke on his spit. "H-How the fuck..!"
Lucy grinned when he started cackling, crossing her arms as she leaned back in her chair. "I have my ways."
How she managed to get a picture of Lahar wearing a bikini was beyond him, but holy shit was it funny. "You are an evil woman." He copied her grin.
"I must be pretty bad if someone like you is saying it." She laughed.
"Though, maybe next time," He grabbed the small polaroid between his fingers, holding it up with a teasing smirk. "This could be one of you instead."
Lucy blushed, rolling her eyes as she huffed. "In your dreams."
He chuckled, stuffing the picture in his pocket. "It was worth a shot." He had no idea how he could enjoy himself while talking with a Fairy, but he supposed that she was alright. It had been a long time since he's had a conversation that wasn't a guard shitting down his throat. He leaned back in his chair, closing his eyes as he soaked in all of the council's miserable lives.
"Ten more minutes?" Lucy rose an eyebrow.
"Fuck yes."
This is my second time writing Cobra, but my first time posting him. I hope it was okay!
Did you guys see that Sting called Lucy beautiful and then fantasized about her in the latest chapter of FT 100 year quest? Literally sobbing, I've waited years for this moment.
Drop a review, Lovelies!
