Well guys, here we are. The first part of the Euphoria special and this entire first part will focus on Vincent's perspective and how he deals on living in a household with his twin sister. So, the reason I'm doing the two parts of the Euphoria special is because I want to explore on Vincent and Lexi's relationship as they both have a lot to figure out if they want to make their romance work. Anyway, this is the first part of the Euphoria special, focusing on Vincent's perspective, and here we go.
I only own my OCs.
Waking up at the sounds of the birds chirping outside of his bedroom, Vincent opened and rubbed his eyes as he glanced at the sun rising outside. The outcast checked the time on his phone as it said nine o'clock in the morning. He then remembered the winter formal was over a couple of days ago, as the Christmas break had officially arrived in Highland. Sitting up from his bed, he removed the blanket as he got off his bed before going to the door and opening it.
'I just remembered that Ella is living with us. Looks like I have a few things to take care of.' he thought.
Since finding out that Ella was his twin sister, but being born two minutes younger, Vincent had accepted that he was no longer the only kid in his family, he allowed his sister to move in with him and Eva. But there were a few things he had to take care of such as helping Ella sign some documents such as her citizenship and permanent resident status in the USA. He then passed by his sister's new bedroom since the three of them were living together in the same household.
Walking to the bathroom, the outcast grabbed his cup and toothbrush as well as the the toothpaste, turned on the water as he started brushing his teeth, as he decided to hang out with Lexi for a bit before helping Ella sign the documents later in the day. After brushing his teeth, the outcast stepped into the shower as he turned on the water and allowed it to platter on his hair. While he was taking the shower, he heard a knock on the door.
"Who is it?" he asked.
"It's Ella." Ella replied from outside the door.
"Hold on, I'm almost done." he called.
Turning off the water, the outcast stepped out of the shower as he dried himself off with the towel before he puts back on his pyjamas before looking into the mirror briefly as he opened the door to find his sister standing at the doorway with her messy hair.
"Good morning, sleepyhead." he greeted.
"Morning." she mumbled.
"Did you sleep well?" he asked.
"Yeah, you can say it like that." she replied.
"Don't take too long because I have to take you to sign some documents today since you're living with me and our mother." he reminded.
"If you've known me well enough as your twin sister, I would never take too long." she said.
Rolling his eyes, the outcast walked back to his bedroom as he decided to get ready for the day, and the first thing he had to do first is explaining to Lexi what really happened at the winter formal as well as telling her that he had a twin sister that's now living with him and Eva.
"Mom, I'm gonna be going out for a bit. But I'll be back to take Ella to sign some documents." he called.
"Take your sister with you and introduce her to Lexi." the older woman reminded.
"Oh, my God. She's literally gonna be embarrassing me in front of Lexi." he said.
Later, the siblings left the house and walked to Lexi's house so the outcast can formally introduce Ella to Lexi before introducing her to his friends when the school begins after the new year.
"So, who is Lexi?" Ella asked.
"My longtime best friend. I've known her since we were kids after mom and I moved here." Vincent replied.
"So, you've been meaning to say that I missed out on the last seventeen years after my adoption? God, I need to catch up." she said.
"Also, don't forget that mom has to enrol you to the high school I currently go to because I'm in my third year of high school." he reminded.
"Ugh, I can't stand any kind of drama relating to your high school." she whined.
"Trust me, there's a lot of drama going around in high school when it comes to romantic relationships." he said.
The two of them later arrived outside of the Howard household before Vincent stepped up to the front door and rang the doorbell. After waiting for a couple of minutes, Cassie opened the front door, surprised that the outcast had decided to stop by.
"Hey Vinny." the blonde greeted as she observed him and the mysterious person standing next to him.
"Hey. Is Lex here?" he asked.
"I'll go get her." she replied as he heard her walking upstairs.
"Who's that?" asked Ella.
"That's Cassie. She's Lexi's older sister." Vincent replied.
Moments later, Cassie returned to the front door and invited both Vincent and Ella in.
"Vinny, who is this?" asked Cassie.
"Cass, this is Ella. My long lost twin sister that I did not know about for the past seventeen years." he answered.
The blonde herself is shocked and surprised. She then remembered how he revealed his traumatic childhood, but he never mentioned that he had a twin sister.
"What's with all the talking? I'm trying to sleep and not wake up to any noise." Lexi mumbled as she walked downstairs before noticing Vincent and Ella.
"Vinny?" asked Lexi.
"Hey. There's something I need to tell you." he replied.
The outcast walked over and took her hand as they walked to the backyard before they sat down on the grass by the hot tub.
"Lex, you remember when I told you I was supposed to be the only kid in my family?" he asked.
The brunette nodded, as she remembered that her long time best friend told her he was the only kid.
"It turns out that I'm not the only kid. I actually had a twin sister I was not aware of. And her name is Daniella Rodriquez." he continued.
Lexi was shocked and confused. Vincent had explained about his traumatic past, but he never brought up his siblings into the conversation.
"The truth is, my mom gave her up for adoption and I never knew her existence. And she kept this secret from me for a long time. And because I know about Ella's existence, I ended up accepting her as part of my family, but I have to look out for her." he finished.
Ella, who was standing by the doorway that leads to the backyard, watched her brother explaining to Lexi about the long secret. And she felt uncertain if Lexi would be her friend since her unrequited love for Ella's brother.
"Do you remember what happened at the winter formal?" asked Lexi.
"You were a little drunk because Maddy gave you her bottle of Gatorade and she added Everclear to it. And I ended up asking you to dance with me, but I also told you about my unrequited feelings for you since we became friends at the playground in middle school." he replied.
Lexi ran her hand through her hair, before she recalled that Vincent had confessed his feelings for her and she buried her face in her hands.
"After the formal ended, you passed out and I had to make sure you got home safely so you could sober up. I wanted to tell you that I had a twin sister, but it had to wait so you can wake up and feel sober." he finished.
The female brunette took her best friend's hand and laced their fingers together.
"Lex, if you want to start a relationship, we gotta figure things out if we want to make our relationship work. And I don't want to have my sister end up falling behind and being the third wheel." he finished.
The outcast then wrapped his arm around Lexi's shoulder before she rested her head on his shoulder as they sat together for a while.
"I want to be with you too, Vinny." Lexi admitted.
She then closed her eyes and kissed him, having realized that they do have to figure things out if they want to make their relationship work.
After having a conversation with Lexi, Vincent and Daniella had left the Howard household because they had to go and sign some important papers for Ella such as her immigration and permanent resident in the states. While they were walking, Vincent was still thinking about Lexi and figuring out how they were gonna work things out.
"Hey, you all right?" asked Ella, as she nudged on her brother's arm.
"Yeah, I'm fine. Just thinking about Lex." he replied.
"Mom told me you have unrequited feelings for her. Is there something I don't know about?" she said.
"I first met Lexi at the playground and she was the first friend I had since mom and I moved here. And I started falling in love with her. We've been hanging out a lot of times since we were kids. And the truth is, I really did like Lex." he explained.
"But why did you decide to keep our dad's last name?" she asked, wanting to change topic.
"It doesn't hurt that my full name would be Vincent Rodriquez Chiang. Besides, you and mom kept your own surnames." he replied.
The siblings then arrived at the offices as they lined up behind the people who were waiting to be called.
"Just to let you know, when you go to my high school after the Christmas break, avoid the jocks because they are the real assholes around here." he reminded.
"Like who?" she asked as she raised her eyebrows.
"Nate Jacobs. If he ever comes up and talks to you when I'm not around, let me know." he replied.
"Sounds like you hate him a lot." Ella pointed out.
"I hated the guy the moment I started going to high school in the ninth grade. And I don't know how my friend Maddy decided to pursue a romantic relationship with him after I've seen him the way he treated her." said Vincent.
"Well, we need to have a family discussion with mom so I can catch up on missing out on your seventeen years." Ella reminded.
After a long day of explaining to Lexi about Ella's existence and helping Ella sign some documents, the siblings returned home and went to their separate bedrooms. Vinny laid down on his bed as he played with his Rubik's Cube while looking at the ceiling, wondering if he should take a chance to ask Lexi out for a date since they don't start school after the New Year's. Putting down the Rubik's Cube on the table beside him, the outcast grabbed his phone and texted Lexi.
Vinny - Hey, you got time to talk?
Lexi - Yeah, what's up?
Vinny - I've been thinking about our conversation today, and I'm wondering if you want to go out on a date.
Lexi - Like, you and me?
Vinny - Yeah, we could go to places for our dating spots, but we could go anywhere you like.
Lexi bit the bottom of her lip, wondering if she should take this chance to start dating the best friend she was insanely in love with.
Vinny - If you're not ready for a date yet, I understand. We can do this another time.
Lexi - Actually, I do have free time this week since we don't start school after the New Year's.
Vinny - Awesome, I'll wear something fancy and I'll come by to pick you up.
Lexi lets a small smile, having got the chance to go out with her long time best friend.
Lexi - I'll see you tomorrow for our first date?
Vinny - Yep, I'll see you tomorrow.
The female brunette clutched her phone close to her chest as she smiled before she rolled on her side. She and her best friend Vincent Rodriquez Chiang were going out for their first date tomorrow.
And that will wrap up part one of the special. So, what do you guys think? Vinny had finally got the guts to ask Lexi out for a date. Will this end good or will this end bad for them? Next chapter will be part two, and it will be switched up to Lexi's perspective, and I'll see you guys in part two of the Euphoria special.
