Chapter 3 is here and the team will get the shock of their life. Enjoy!
Garage:
The elevator doors opened and out walked Hobbs with the others behind him, they walked into the garage to see several cars; some were parked inside and some were outside. Nick and Tim were impressed with the selection of cars that were there. Inside the garage, there was a black 1969 Dodge Charger, a blue 2012 Nissan GT-R, a red 1969 Corvette Stingray and a white 2017 Acura NSX.
"These are the people I chose. They are the best and with them, you know a job will get done." Hobbs explained then the doors opened and out of each car, stepped out the driver. "I believe you've already met Brian O'Conner," Hobbs spoke as he walked over to Brian and shook his hand.
"Sorry but you know how it is: I couldn't tell you without clearing it first." Brian told them and McGee nodded. "I would like to introduce you to my family: My wife, Mia. My brother-in-law, Dom Toretto and his wife, Letty." Brian introduced then led the NCIS team outside to see more cars: a black 1979 Pontiac Trans Am, a black and red 2012 Ford Mustang BOSS 302 Laguna Seca, a red Mercedes SLS AMG GT and a dark blue 2016 Jaguar F-Type.
"And this, these are our extended family members." Dominic introduced as the driver doors to the other cars opened. "Thanks to Brian, we know that you know two of our crew." Dom spoke then Gibbs and the others were surprised to see Abby Sciuto step out of the Trans Am: she was wearing a crimson vest, black jeans with tears on the knees and black boots.
"Abby?" McGee asked as he was surprised and the formal forensic scientist nodded. "Damn! You look… great." McGee complimented as his voice cracked, causing Nick to chuckle but he stopped when he saw the Driver of the SLS AMG GT: it was Ellie. She was wearing a black crop top with black leather pants and black high heels, as well as dark red lipstick and black highlights in her blonde hair.
"Ell… Ellie?" Nick asked and without warning, he passed out and fell backwards due to how much Bishop had changed. Vance walked out and was just as surprised to see Abby and Ellie with Hobbs' team
"Bishop? Miss Sciuto? How do you know them?" The Director asked as he and the others were curious to know. Ellie and Abby closed the doors of their cars and walked towards their old team.
"We met them when we were younger," Ellie started explaining. "Then Abby got in contact, saying that she was back with the family. I knew what she meant." Ellie smiled then the pair gave each other a high five.
"Oi, don't forget us!" Everyone looked at the drivers of the Mustang and the Jaguar. "Names Roman. Roman Pierce: the most handsome black guy you'll meet ever." Roman complimented himself as he smartened his jacket.
"Yeah. If you're into guys with foreheads the size of a turbocharger." The other driver told Roman then he walked over to Hobbs. "Glad to see you called. I was getting bored since our last job together." He smiled and Hobbs nodded then he looked at Vance and Gibbs.
"This is Deckard Shaw: former British Special Forces, former MI6 and former mercency." Hobbs introduced as Deckard shook Gibbs' hand. "Now, down to business. Now, let's get to MTAC." Hobbs told everyone then the entire team headed upstairs.
MTAC:
As the NCIS team sat down on one side and most of the F&F crew sat on the other half, the only ones standing up front were Hobbs, Shaw, Brian and Ellie. Abby inserted a Flash Drive and pressed the Enter key, projecting several files on the huge screen.
"For the past few months, we found out that someone from the Norfolk Naval Base was dealing information to the wrong people. We found that the one who contacted us was your dead Petty Officer." Hobbs explained to the NCIS team then Brian got up and joined the others at the front.
"A few months ago, I met Jennifer Boldman on the streets: we were both racers. She found out I was a cop and I found out she was a cadet. We raced, then she told me about what she found out at her base." Brian explained to them then Abby pressed the space key on the keyboard. "Afterwards, I decided to look into it and called some friends to help, mainly Hobbs, Deckard and Abby."
"The night she died, I contacted Boldman to meet but we had no contact. Abby tracked Jennifer's cellphone to Canada so a few of the team went to check the area." Deckard told them as a map of Canada came on screen. "Me, Torretto and Hobbs drove up to Vancouver to check it out. We found her cell in a black 2009 Mercedes E300 saloon but no sign of Jennifer." Deckard told them as pictures of the car and the cellphone appeared on the monitor.
"This morning at 4am, Dom and I left the house and took our cars to search. Dom checked out her friends outside of the Navy while I went to enquire about her whereabouts at her Naval Base." Brian finished the explanation then Vance got up out of his seat.
"Why weren't we informed?" Vance asked as he wanted to know then Hobbs stepped up, showing that he was towering over the Director.
"It was reported to us and at the time, we were and still are in charge of the case. We're only here because Miss Bishop asked us to help and I was made in charge." Hobbs told him which impressed Nick. "If you don't believe me, contact the Secretary of Defense." With that, Hobbs looked up at the NCIS team and looked serious. "Now, we have a case to solve: let's get to work." Hobbs ordered then everyone left MTAC and got to work.
Outside:
In the carpark, Ellie and Abby were working on their cars as the others were discussing the case. The two ladies were just about finished when they heard footsteps behind them, they looked to see it was only Torres.
"Ellie, I never knew you were into racing," Nick complimented, which only made Ellie roll her eyes then she had an idea.
"Nick, straight forward question: Do you like me?" Ellie asked which surprised Nick, causing him to be lost for words. "Simple version: do you want to go out on a date with me?" Ellie asked. Nick silently coughed then smiled at Ellie.
"Yeah. I can't lie. Why do you ask?" Nick asked as a suggestion entered his head. "Would you like to go out with me?" Nick asked as Ellie leant against her Mercedes.
"On one condition: you race me." Ellie told him which surprised Nick. "If you win: I'll go on a date with you. But if I win: you stop flirting with me." Ellie explained the conditions and Nick nodded.
"You're on, girl." Nick smiled then the pair shook hands. Nick walked off to get one of the 2008 Dodge Chargers they had. Letty walked over and handed a set of keys to Ellie, she looked down at them then looked back up at Letty.
"Smoke him, sister." Letty told her and Ellie nodded with a smile. "With help from Dom and Brian, the Stingray has something that allows more power than the factory standard model." Ellie looked over at Letty's Corvette and smiled then she looked back at Letty.
"Thanks Letty. I owe you." Ellie thanked her and ran over to the Stingray, she opened the driver door and climbed inside. Ellie turned the key and started the mighty muscle car, she drove it up next to the Charger which surprised Nick. "What? I never said we have to use our own cars." Ellie told him and Nick nodded as she had a fair point.
A few minutes later the entire team and the group came walking towards them, Ellie smiled knowing that Abby had something to do with that. She saw Gibbs and McGee, along with Vance and team, some looked stunned, some were smiling, especially Hobb's team.
"What's going on Abby?" McGee asked, as he looked at the two cars lined up. Abby smiled as she looked at Tim.
"Ellie made a bet with Torres. They're gonna race; if he wins, he goes out on a date with her. And if she wins, then no date." She replied, making Hobb's team laugh.
"He's in for a hell of a ride." Dom commented with a smile then McGee looked at him,
"Why's that?" He asked as he started wondering as he looked back towards the two cars. "Nick is a good driver. And I'll admit, so is Ellie. So it should be even." Brian chuckled as he shook his head.
"Nobody and I mean Nobody has ever beaten Ellie in a race." Brian replied as they all nodded and watched as Letty walked up to them. "After all, she was taught by a few of the best: being myself, Dom, Letty and Mia." Brian told them which made McGee impressed.
"I should mention how I disapprove of this on Government property." Vance told them with his hands behind his back. But before anyone could reply back, the sound of Ellie's car engine revving as they were getting ready to race.
"Okay then." The pair looked in front to see Letty standing between the cars. "When I say, I want you two to race up the Washington Monument and back." Letty told them and both of them nodded as they were revving their engines. "3! 2! 1! Go!" Letty shouted and the cars launched off, with Ellie in the lead with Nick close behind.
The streets:
The roads of Washington were busy but that didn't stop Ellie and Nick from racing; with Ellie in the lead and Nick nowhere to be seen. Ellie had just drifted around a corner, missing several cars then quickly changed gear. Nick had just got onto the main straight and he saw Ellie, he couldn't believe how she was able to drift a car during rush hour.
"She's impressive." Nick complimented as he quickly changed gear, he watched as Ellie drifted around the Washington Monument then raced back towards the base. "Oh, you gotta be kidding me!" Nick was angry that he was losing so he tried drifting around the tall building, he failed which resulted in him doing a 360. "Damn! I need to catch up to win!" Nick told himself as he reversed the car then pushed his foot down on the accelerator to catch up with Ellie.
Meanwhile, Ellie was approaching the Naval Yard at high speed, she looked at the speedometer and could see that she was doing 105mph. She looked up at her rearview mirror and noticed that Nick was nowhere in sight.
"You messed with the wrong racer, cutie." Ellie chuckled as she drifted into the Naval Yard car park, she had perfectly parked the Corvette Stingray as she opened the driver's door and got out.
"DAMN! I forgot how good you were, sister." Letty chuckled as Ellie handed back her keys. Just as Ellie walked over to her extended family, Nick raced in and parked on the opposite side of the car park.
"Sorry Nick, no date for you." Ellie smiled then blew him a kiss. Nick sighed as he was disappointed that he didn't win. McGee walked over to his friend while Nick leant back against the car.
"How come she never drove like that before?" Nick asked but Tim shrugged his shoulders as he didn't know either.
Garage:
While the NCIS team were working up in their office, the crew were going through the case downstairs. Ellie was sitting on the bonnet of her SLS AMG whilst listening to music through her headphones while the others were sitting around a table.
"This makes Jess' death more real," Mia spoke, then Brian held her hand. "Everything that NCIS have on the case isn't much. If only we could talk to her friends at the Norfolk Naval Base." Mia told them then Hobbs looked up from reading the Medical Examiners report.
"Maybe we can talk to them." Hobbs told them which made the team confused as Ellie removed her headphones. "Eleanor, contact our friend in Hawaii." Hobbs told her but Ellie chuckled as she slid off the bonnet of her car.
"He's currently in New Orleans; he's working as a mechanic there." Ellie told Hobbs as she took out her phone and dialled a number. "DK, it's the Racing Princess. We need you." Ellie spoke to her friend as she looked at her extended family.
Later:
At the O'Conner house, the team were standing by their cars talking while Mia and Letty were inside with the kids. The group were drinking and discussing the case when a black SUV pulled out, shortly followed by a red and black Mitsubishi Evo IX.
"We've got company." Abby pointed out as the crew put down their beers just as Hobbs got out of the SUV. The driver's door to the Mitsubishi opened then out stepped a young man; he was wearing black jeans, blue trainers, a white long-sleeve t-shirt and a crimson jacket.
"Sean!" Abby shouted as she ran over and hugged her friend, Sean Boswell. Sean then walked over and shook Dom's hand.
"We meet again." Sean smiled as he drew his hand back, "Last I saw you, we were drifting back in Japan." He commented as Dom nodded with a grin.
"Yeah, you were good. I'll give you that. Thanks for coming." Dom replied. They heard footsteps and saw Ellie walking up to them.
"Well, well, well, if it ain't Sean Boswell fresh from Tokyo." she said as she stopped beside Dom. "Been a long time Sean." the man nodded with a smile, "Yeah, good to see you too Bishop." he replied.
"I didn't think that you would show up, Sean." Dom smiled as he and Sean shook hands. "How have you been?." Dom asked as he handed Sean a beer.
"I'm alright. I've been undercover in New Orleans, as an NCIS Agent: Christopher Laselle." Sean told them which surprised them. "Hobbs put me there when he started working on the case. He wanted someone who wasn't known to the law compared to you." Sean explained and Brian nodded as he thought that was a good idea.
"Sean here got into the Naval Base and to do some digging," Hobbs explained as he stood between Ellie and Sean. "What do you have?" Hobbs asked as Sean reached into his pocket and pulled out a brown envelope.
"I found some old things there," Sean started to explain as he opened the envelope and took out all the paperwork he brought. "I went to the Naval Base undercover, I found out that after I looked at the files, an officer from another agency opened the file from a different location." Sean explained which puzzled everyone.
"Another agency is involved?" Brian asked and Sean nodded. "There are so many things to think about, where do we start?" Brian asked as Sean took out a piece of paper from his jacket.
"This piece of paper has the IP address on it. If we can hack into the computer, we could find out which agency and maybe, the name of the agent that opened it." Sean explained and that made the crew happy.
"I could but I'll need a better computer; my laptop won't be able to get the result quick enough." Ellie explained then she had an idea. "But if we use one of the computers at NCIS, we can find out who the user is." Ellie told them and Hobbs nodded.
"Right, here's the plan for tomorrow; Bishop, O'Conner, Boswell and myself will go to NCIS to find out who accessed the files. Dom, can you and a group have another look at the crime scene? In case NCIS missed anything?" Hobbs asked and Dom nodded.
"Abs, you up for some field work?" Dom asked Abby with a smile. Abby smiled and nodded as she stood up. "Right then, I'll take Abby, Letty and Shaw." Dom told them as Hobbs nodded.
"Get some sleep, team." Hobbs told them as he walked over to his SUV then drove off, leaving the crew to do what they wanted. Tomorrow, they get to work and hopefully find out more clues behind the case.
The end of chapter 3 and there's still so much more to come. What's your opinion for this chapter? I enjoyed writing this part because it was fun; especially the race between Ellie and Nick, I couldn't help myself as I thought it would be fun.
There might be more characters popping up later down the road but who? You'll have to wait and see. Until next time.
