Chapter 35
Goddess of War and the Calamity Witch Part 1
Author's Note: The time has come. I'll try to be as accurate as possible with Aurora and Beatrix. Still a shame that they did Beatrix dirty with the whole "searching for her niece" journey.
Enjoy.
It's dark. The skies are clear, stars are twinkling and the moon shines brightly. For most people, nights like this are peaceful and want to go on walks. But ever since terrorists, especially Cult of Diablos, have been lurking around, no one is safe. It used to be that way until Shadow Garden has appeared and rescued the innocents. They are the ones that the Red Light District needs. They are the heroes and with their high numbers, it's impossible to stop the organization.
Tonight, things are entirely different and the Cult are beginning to learn things the hard way. A mysterious female figure with very long violet hair and wearing a green dress that has a V-shape cut in the front, showing off her beautiful legs with high heels on her feet. She is also wearing a long coat over the dress. She seems to be lurking about, killing some of the Cult members who are trying to run away from her. Spears made from blood magic pop out of the ground, impaling each cult member and killing them instantly. The mysterious figure levitates around aimlessly, killing each Cult member in sight. Her intentions are a mystery, yet the Cult wants this woman captured no matter what. But she is much too powerful for them it seems. It is at that moment that the members decided to retreat, to come back another day, much to this woman's relief.
Meanwhile, there is yet another mysterious young woman, only this one is an elf with long platinum hair and dressed scantily clad with a small white tank top, black short shorts, a stocking that goes on her right leg and black high heels on her feet. She is also wearing a black long coat over her body with a hood on her head. The Cult she has never heard of nor care for the matter. She is on a mission for something else. Something most dear to her. But...that would have to wait because something catches her eye. In the middle of the district, she finds a young woman who is levitating a few inches off the ground, roaming around. Curious, she decides to approach the figure to see what's up.
Though it's a little dark, so the hooded female elf can barely make out what this woman fully looks like. The violet turns toward the platinum, seeing as though an enemy has approached her. Raising her arm, she opens her palm and summons blood spears from the ground. The hooded elf dodges them all, zipping back and forth while each spear rises up to try and impale her. Once she closes gaps, she draws her sword and tries to strike at the violet haired woman. The purplenette evades by sliding back, ducking and zipping to the right. She magically summons a scythe and swings it back and forth to try and hit the hooded elf. But the platinum elf parries the attacks and strikes at her left and then to the right and then spins 360 for good measure. The violet haired woman stumbles back, but manages to keep her balance. She straightens up and raises both hands. Lines of blood surround the hooded woman and they transform into chains. They wrap around the hooded woman a second later.
The platinum elf glares at the violet haired woman, who chuckles softly, seeing this as victory. However, the hooded elf shuts her eyes tightly and focuses her magic to get out of this tight bind. The chains break off and the violet haired woman gasps, taking a step back. The hooded elf charges with her sword, striking at her once more. With one powerful swing, she zips past her followed by the strike and the violet haired woman groans, dropping to one knee.
The hooded elf turns around to see her opponent injured. However, the violet haired woman levitates again and reveals herself under a lamp post. The hooded woman is shocked to see the most BEAUTIFUL woman on the planet before her. The violet haired woman gives a soft glare and summons a large red triangle with strange patters surrounding it. She leaps inside the triangle and it disappears a second later.
The hooded elf stands there, stunned for a few seconds before sheathing her sword. She may return to cause more chaos, but none of that matters to her. The violet haired woman was just someone who stood in her way. With that, she turns around and leaves, her cloak fluttering at the movement.
*Next Day*
"Another incident at the Red Light District last night," Beta reports to her fellow Shadows. "The Cult was still at large, but it was unusual this time. They were attacked by this mysterious woman who uses blood magic. Then there was a small fight between a hooded woman and the mysterious one at the same time. It was then that the woman vanished using some kind of spell, never to be seen again. Nothing else happened after that. At least 5 of the Cult members were found dead at the scene, surrounded by blood."
Alpha rubs her chin in thought. "This IS very strange. Especially when there are two mysterious people around. Could it be that the woman with blood magic be aiming for the same goal as we are?"
"It seems like it," Gamma replies. "But we are not very sure yet. We do not know her motives yet, so we have to be on guard, no matter what."
"I agree," Epsilon says. "This is something we have never encountered before. We may be facing two enemies."
"We are ready when you are, Alpha-sama," Zeta says.
"Good," Alpha says. "Spread out and find some clues. Gamma and I will do some investigating as well."
"YES, ALPHA-SAMA!" The rest of the Shades chorus and in a flash, they vanish out of the room.
What remains are two BEAUTIFUL elves wearing fancy dresses. Blue for Gamma and jet black for Alpha with a V-cut shape on the side, showing off her lovely, white legs and high heels. They approach each other and wrap their arms around each other's shoulders, gazing at one another.
"Shall we, Gamma~?" Alpha says, her soft, gentle voice being a caress to the bluenette's ears.
"Yes, Alpha-sama~" Gamma replies.
The two lean in to share a soft, heartwarming kiss. It's brief, but still passionate. Both of them know they have work to do, but this is just a way to get them pumped up. When they pull away, they share a soft giggle and press foreheads together.
"Lead the way, Alpha-sama~" Gamma says.
"Alright," The blonde says.
*Later*
The investigation goes underway. Alpha and Gamma search around for clues about the two mysteries women and the dead Cult members last night. However, very few people have seen them, but didn't know where they could've gone. It didn't help much, but Alpha believes they could be seen again in the middle of the district.
In fact, Gamma finds the remains of the blood by a dead Cult. She takes out a small vial she borrowed from Eta and gathers as much as she could. Sealing it, she puts it inside her bag so she can give it to the mad scientist when they get home.
"Job well done," Alpha compliments her right hand. "Let's head home. Eta's still sleeping in her lab so it'll be easy to deliver."
"Right you are~" Gamma says.
*Meanwhile*
"Do you know elves that look like me?"
"...nope~! Not a clue~!"
It was after the fact that the hooded woman revealed herself. Could this young man be lying?
"I see. Prepare yourself!" The hooded woman swung her sword to strike at him, but the force was so powerful that he stumbled back and landed on his behind. She stopped, surprised by his reaction. "I was mistaken. Here." She held out her hand.
The young man gripped it and she helped him up. "That's a good hand. I can sense you will become stronger someday. Sorry to have startled you."
With that, she turned to leave.
The woman, who introduced herself as Beatrix to the young man, cannot forget that first meeting. Well...it was rather random to approach him, asking him that silly question, but something told her that he knew about "her". Maybe it was all her imagination. She puts that behind her now. All that matters is her search for her niece.
"Wherever you are...I WILL find you," Beatrix says, looking up at the sky. "I am very certain you are here."
A/N: This is going to be split into 4 parts this time. Again, Beatrix's journey to find her niece is not well written. So it will be a bit difficult to write Alpha's reaction to Beatrix and vice versa.
Have a nice day.
