Full chapter title: Oh I Beg, I Beg And Plead, Singin'.

When Kayla's entourage arrived at Camelot, no one was there to greet her, which she was thankful for. She wanted this to be a surprise visit. Morgana's servant girl Gwen took it upon herself to greet Kayla, wondering who she was.

"Excuse me, are you an ambassador?"

"In a roundabout sort of way."

"From what country, may I ask? No one here was told of an impending arrival."

"My name is Kayla, Lady Protector of Narnia, Baroness of Dancing Lawn and the Marshlands, Guardian of the Dancing Trees, the Dryads, and the Marsh-Wiggles."

"Does the king know you're here?"

"No. I wanted this to be a surprise visit. My brother is here though, and he knows of my arrival. But please, miss-."

"Gwen."

"Lady Gwen. Let me be the one to inform the king I'm here."

"Of course, my lady."

"Please, call me Kayla. I hate formalities."

"As you wish."

Kayla did not need any help finding the throne room. She walked right up to the doors and pushed them open, with Gwen trailing behind her.

"What is the meaning of this?!"

"It's nice to finally meet you as well, Uther Pendragon. And you, Prince Arthur."

"Who are you?!"

"My brother will answer that question, wherever he is. I know he's here."

"Who is your brother?"

"Conláed, of course."

"He only has two sisters."

"Yes, and I'm the other one."

"You're Úna's daughter."

"Who else would I be, Uther? Now, is there a place for me to sit? My feet can only handle so much."

She pointed out the roundness of her belly, and Uther called for a chair to be brought to her.

"Is visiting your brother all you're here for?"

"Among other things. Where is my brother? I want to meet with him first before I do anything else."

"He is out riding with his other sister Princess Catia and his father Prince Vortigern. It is a good thing though that Terebinthia has finally been put back into a man's hands."

"What's this finally shit, Uther? Terebinthia has only ever had queens. And what I'm here to talk to my brother about is none of your business, so don't you dare have spies watching us. I came here representing Narnia, I country I have a claim to nonetheless, but I will represent Terebinthia when necessary. And other kingdoms."

"You dare to threaten me?"

"You don't scare me, Uther. I have what you're afraid of, and you know you can't stop me. Certain others in this kingdom have it to, though I will not say for the sake of their lives."

"If you'd like, Kayla, I will go find your brother at the stables, if they are back by now."

"Thank you, Gwen."

"Gwen, you are to address her by her title first."

"Arthur, if I say she can call me by name only, then that is what she will call me by. I absolutely hate formalities. They make me sick."

Gwen made her way to the stables, where Conláed, Catia, and Vortigern were having their horses unsaddled and put up in the barn. Conláed did everything for his horse himself.

"My lord Conláed, your sister is here."

"But I am your sister, Conláed."

"My other sister, Catia. The Queen of Terebinthia."

As Conláed was walking towards the castle, his father caught up to him, wanting to give him words of wisdom.

"Conláed, my son, do not play into her hands."

"You may be my father, but you don't tell me how to treat my sister. I am the only one here who knows how her mind is, and I am the only one here who knows why she is here."

"Why is she here?"

"You'll find out. Thank you for letting me know, Gwen."

"Of course, my lord."

In Gaius' chambers, both Gaius and Merlin felt a presence in the castle, a presence no one in Camelot was supposed to feel, lest they be dead. Lady Morgana ran up to Gaius' chambers, thinking she was feeling sick. She felt the same presence.

"Gaius, something is wrong with me."

"What is it, my lady?"

"There is something hanging over us. Someone is here, in the castle. But I don't sense danger."

"We feel it too, Morgana. We know who is here. Come, let us go meet her."

Gaius, Merlin, and Morgana made their way to the throne room just as Conláed arrived there.

"Sister."

"Brother of mine."

Surprisingly, it was Conláed who hugged Kayla, not the other way around.

"You made it here safe."

"Don't hug me too tight, Conláed. I'm pregnant again."

"And this pregnancy is your faith or sixth?"

"Sixth."

"Are your husband and children with you? I would have liked to meet my niece and my nephews."

"My family stayed in Narnia. I made the journey alone."

"You have more spirit in you than I remember."

"Of course I do. I had my ascensions before Athair sent me to the other world."

"And you re-ascended twice."

"That was to make sure nothing left me. Are we going to be eating soon? I am eating for two."

"Your unborn child can hold out a bit longer to eat, can't it?"

"I'm sorry Uther, I didn't realize you were a physician or a midwife, least of a pregnant mother."

"She is right, your grace. Whenever she feels hungry, she needs to eat, especially to keep her baby healthy."

"Thank you, mister-."

"Gaius, I am the court physician."

"I expect I'll be coming to see you a lot during my stay here. I will most likely be giving birth here, and by that time comes around, I hope to have my husband here by my side. He has always been in the birthing chamber with me."

"I can go bring you a light meal from the kitchens if you'd like, Kayla."

"Let me go with you. I need to see what is appealing to me."

"Of course."

When they were down in the kitchens, Gwen took it upon herself to ask Kayla about things she overheard.

"These pies look good, but if I eat anything sweet now, I know my baby won't agree with it."

"If I may be so bold as to ask, what did you mean by your ascensions?"

"My ascensions as the Triple Goddess, and Calypso, the Spirit of the Sea. Both are in my family tree."

"How so?"

"The Triple Goddess is the mother of the first Queen of Terebinthia, Micheáilín. Calypso was the mother of my vampire ancestor, King István. That is just the summary of it. You'll find out more later on. I could go with a soup with noodles."

"I can make you a soup."

"Thank you, Gwen. You seem to have some experience with feeding a pregnant woman."

"I did with my mother when she was pregnant with my brother Elyan. You better hope Uther does not find out about you being the Triple Goddess."

"Even when he does, there is nothing he can do. Not unless he wants to risk war. Could you possibly take me to the royal library? I didn't happen to see any castle gardens, so the library is the next best thing."

"Follow me, my lady."

When they go to the library, Conláed was there waiting for Kayla. He wanted to discuss things quietly with her. Gwen left them alone and Kayla set a tarantula at the door to stop anyone from coming in.
