Chapter Four: short interlude(because the chapter refuses to be written so it's short and I'll post it in the hopes it'll be easier to write next time so I can continue with other stories)
Asta stood on a beach, he looked around his gaze filled either with sand, sun, or his fellow swimwear clad people enjoying the sand or sun, "this is the beach?," He asked,
"Yes Asta it is," Noelle stated stiffly, since he was more entranced by simple sand then her new bikini,
"And that's the ocean?," he asked trying his best to point to the seemingly endless blue waves he now knew to be the ocean as best he could,
"That's right Asta," Mimosa giggled "though I still can't believe you haven't seen it before," Mimosa noted, unlike her cousin Noelle, Mimosa enjoyed the wonder filled look his eyes had was so charming,
Yuno who was just as amazed by the large volume of water as Asta was shook his head of the situation his rival was in and sighed, "Maybe Asta would feel better if you two weren't hanging off of him," he gestured to the two bikini clad girls that each held Asta's arms,
Noelle turned to Yuno, "Not gonna happen," she declared with a glare and red cheeks, "He gets himself into enough trouble, and I AM NOT HANGING OFF HIM!"
"I agree with you on the first point," Yuno stated, then he pointed towards the others, "Your brother doesn't seem to agree with you though,"
Noelle turned and saw Nozel trying to light Asta on fire with a glare while Dorothy sleepily moved in front of him blocking his view,
"It's probably just a coincidence he's looking in our direction," Noelle said,
"Right, and the others?," he asked pointing to the Eye of the Midnight Sun,
Noelle and Mimosa turned to see them 100% glaring at them and to a slightly lesser extent Asta,
"Are you sure they're glaring at us Yuno?, maybe they're just mad that Sally wandered off an hour ago," Mimosa said dismissively, holding Asta closer to her,
"Or because of the hot sun," Noelle added tugging Asta back to her,
"Or the sand," A white bikini clad Sally suggested as she skipped over to them from... somewhere?, she saw what Noelle and Mimosa were doing and glared at them for a few seconds, "I see what's happening here," she said coldly, "Dogpile on Asta!" she cheered jumping on his back knocking him over,
"Ow! h-hey," he cried getting a face full of sand, and a cheerful smile from his new fiancé,
Then Nero landed on his head and settled in for a nap,
"Nero not no-" suddenly he, Noelle, Mimosa, and Sally were surrounded by Licht's light swords,
"Ahem" he said holding back his anger, "We are glaring at you two," Licht said,
"Why would you glare at us?," Mimosa asked her tone dripped with innocence,
Fanna pointed at them, Salamander behind her glared at the two with her, ever time it opened its maw smoke spilled out of it's mouth and the heat of it's breaths slowly turned the sand beneath it and her into glass, "Harlots who hang off our friends betrothed should all die," she stated dangerously, her grimoire floated in front of her and threateningly flipped pages back and forth as if she couldn't decide which spell to use to wipe them of the face of the Clover Kingdom,
"Wonder who she's talking about?," Noelle asked, though she was sweating nervously and clutched her wand for dear life,
"Probably no one we know," Mimosa said dismissively, though her fear had her grimoire already preparing her strongest healing spell fort herself, Noelle, Asta, and maybe Sally,
"What's a harlOT!?," Asta cried as Sally bit his earlobe,
"Harlot?" she asked, "It's a girl or woman who likes to do 'it'," she explained before going back to happily chomping on his ear,
"'It'," Leo asked, "Do you mean-?,"
"ENOUGH!" Klaus shouted, his cheeks were red, "We're getting off topic here, does anyone actually know where the water temple is?"
"Weren't you paying attention during the briefing glasses guy?" Yami asked,
"Forgive me Captain Yami but I was-"
Yami glared at Klaus, "Eh!? ain't you a member of the Golden Dawn or something? thought you guys were better then to forget simple stuff,"
Klaus bowed his noble brow and glasses wearing head to the acting Not-Captain of the Black Bulls, "Yes Captain Yami, forgive my distraction I'll strive to be and do better then I have been,"
"Great," Yami nodded, "Also I don't know why you're calling me Captain have you not met my patsy?" he asked,
"Patsy?" Klaus asked,
Yuno sighed, "I'm going to train, call me when we figure out where the temple is, how to get there, or if the eye starts a fight," and then he walked away much like a broken man would,
Or he would've if Yami didn't grab him by the head, "Woah slow your role kid," he said, "The temple with the stone we're looking for is deep deep underwater," he said turning Yuno's head towards the waves, "somewhere around... well somewhere, and since only one of us is a water mage, we're reliant on her to actually get there so don't go too far,"
"Water mage?" Mimosa asked, she turned to Noelle and smiled "Then we're in good hands with you Noelle"
"Me?" Noelle asked, "We're relying on me to get us underwater? but can't Yami or Nozel-,"
"Sorry kid," Yami said taking a draw of his cigarette, "but other then trying and failing to split the ocean I've got nothing," he said exhaling smoke, "maybe if that useless beanpole or World tree boy were here I might be able to get us to the temple, that's a big maybe though, more so since Jack and me might accidentally split the temple itself," he laughed,
Nozel scoffed, "As if two commoners such as yourself could even split the waves far enough," he stated, "But I-," Yami's grimoire opened and his sword was swung, a large portion of water (About ten feet or so) split around Yami's attack before the water returned to normal,
"Yeah I know," Yami said as he sheathed his blade, "We can't breath too well for too long surrounded by your mercury right Hairdo?" Yami sheathed his sword, "And even if we could we couldn't see where we're going, which is why..."
Nozel glared at Yami who glared right back at him, "Which is why..." he repeated,
After a few moments Nozel gritted his teeth before he spat, "Noelle is the best chance we have to get down there," then he stormed away,
"Well great," Yami said, "Well you kids heard the man," he stated, "so do whatever I guess but we do eventually have to get down to the temple, now I'm gonna go to the market and pick up some cigarettes," he turned and walked away,
Noelle's expression was pure horror as Yami began walking away, "But Captain Yami how am I supposed to-" but he just waved over his shoulder at her, "Great," she grumbled, "how am I supposed to get us underwater when I can barely control my magic?"
"You can't control your magic?" Sally asked, she adjusted her glasses, "Oooh," she smiled, "That's a lot of raw magical power you have there,"
"Huh?" Noelle froze remembering Asta's new wife was now sitting on his back looking up at her, "L-look forget I said any-?" she blinked, "a lot of raw magical- how can you tell?"
Sally poked her glasses, "These aren't just cause of my prescription you know, they're powerful, Master Licht had them enchanted so I can see magical power, they also have an X-ray option, but looking into your organs is only useful for certain situations," she explained,
Noelle crossed her arms, "A-and how much power do I-i have?"
Sally shrugged and looked around, her eyes went wide and she pointed to Leopold and Yuno, one of which was walking off to train alone, the other was going with him to train, "About as much as those two together," she said absentmindedly,
Noelle looked down, "I see," she let go of Asta's arm and started to walk away dejectedly, "what?" she turned around, "could you repeat that?"
"As much as those two together," Sally repeated pointing again at Yuno and Leopold,
"Together?" Mimosa asked covering her mouth in shock,
Sally nodded, "Yeah it's pretty impressive you can use magic at all honestly, like that's way too much power for someone so young,"
"HOW DO I HAVE THAT MUCH POWER?!" Noelle screamed in shock,
"It's nothing to scream abou-," Sally was interrupted as Asta jumped up, "And down I go,"
"That's so cool Noelle," he said with stars in his eyes, "Besides the captains I bet your the strongest one on our team,"
"I should've known you had that much power Noelle," Mimosa said, "that's amazing,"
Klaus shook his head and walked over towards them, "That much power really?" he asked, "Such goes beyond even the expectation among royals,"
Noelle stared around and saw nothing but praise,
Her cheeks were bright red as they all showered her in complements.

The Melodies of death,
Ino pounded on the apartment door, the pouring rain not bothering her as much as it had this morning, she gazed down to the red bloody headband she'd been handed hours ago,
The same one her best friend had been wearing when she'd seen her off to a mission last week,
If only she hadn't been injured at the time, if only she'd convinced someone else to go with her,
She shut her eyes tightly as she continued hitting the door, hopefully he'd answer soon,
The sound of a key being inserted into a lock made her open her eyes and look up, as the door opened she'd met him again after all these years,
He gave her a warm smile despite the late hour, "Good-" he took one look at her, "heavens you're soaked," quickly he was behind her pushing her inside, "Lets get you a bath drawn and a warm drink,"
And she did, she had no idea how it was all so fast, but the next thing she knew she was sat in a dressing gown that wasn't hers, with a warm cup in her hands as her benevolent host sat across from her playing a cheerful song,
A ghost of a smile wormed it way onto her face, 'he hasn't changed' she looked him over, though he was wearing blue striped pj's underneath a white smoking jacket, he still dressed very sharp, even though he was likely sleeping moments ago,
He realised her attention was back onto him and lowered his instrument, "Good evening Ino," he greeted happily, "what brings you-"
She shook her head rapidly and he stopped, she set the cup down and searched her pockets, she fished the headband out and held it up,
He stared for a second, then he leaned back in his chair, a frown marring his face, "Poor Sakura," he spoke after the longest time, his voice a whisper,
Ino nodded, "Sensei said-" she choked, "S-" tears pricked at her eyes, she raised her hands to her eyes trying to fight back her sobs,
The music resumed and the sadness just went away, at first she wondered how, then she remembered that's what Naruto did, the assassin who brings a smile to your face, before taking your head off it's shoulders,
she looked up at him, "Sensei said out of all the jonin you're the least crazy and that you're strong," she said, "Teach me please," she begged,
"For what?" he asked,
She looked at him with disbelief, but his eyes showed her he was searching for something in her answer,
"Revenge" she stated,
He chuckled, "Revenge?" he asked, "Is a game only fools play,"
He gave a sigh, "but since I'd rather you be prepared to face what ever is out there," he placed a hand on his cane that she'd heard hid a blade inside it, "I'll train you," then he yawned, "but tomorrow, and since it's so late you may take the guest room,"
"But I-" she felt like she blinked and then she was tucked into what was likely Naruto's guest bed, she looked around, before her adrenaline left her and she passed out,
