The Cena family was still sleeping, especially Stephanie, and John was enjoying the extra sleep because of the holiday. However, their sleep is about to be interrupted as Sophia and J.J. run into the master bedroom, calling out their name.
"Mommy, daddy," J.J. and Sophia said simultaneously, and John and Stephanie's eyes popped open.
"Good morning, J.J. and Sophia," John and Stephanie said together.
J.J. and Sophia climbed onto the bed next to them, "Mommy, today is Thanksgiving," Sophia said with a smile.
"I know, baby, it's one of the few holidays that daddy and I get to sleep in," she said, closing her eyes again.
"Mommy?" J.J. said
"Mmm," she said. John and Sophia chucked together.
"Mommy," J.J. said, again
"Yes, honey," she said, half asleep.
"Are we going to Grandma and Grandpa's house for thanksgiving?" He asked
"No, honey, Grandma and Grandpa are coming here this year along with Uncle Vinny, Aunt Nattie, your cousins, and great grandma Vicky."
"Yes!" Sophia said with a smile
"What about great grandma and great grandpa?" he asked
"They are going to Aunty Shea and Uncle Paul's house this year."
Fifteen minutes later, Stephanie and John got out of bed. They all four, walked out of the master bedroom, toward the back staircase, then down them, to the kitchen, where Stephanie began making breakfast. As Stephanie cooks breakfast, her two older children come down the back staircase that leads into the kitchen.
"Good morning, Mom," Stephen and Khloe said together.
Stephanie looked up, saw them, and said, "Good Morning, Stephen and Khloe. Can you please set the kitchen table?"
"Sure, mom," Stephen and Khloe said and began setting the kitchen table.
Once breakfast was ready, Stephanie called out that it was ready; John, J.J., and Sophia came walking into the kitchen and sat down at the kitchen table. John brought Stephanie's cup of coffee to the table.
"Thank you, love," she said, smiling up at him.
"You'/re welcome, baby," he said, smiling at her, walking to his chair, and sitting by J.J.
They began to eat breakfast, and then Khloe said, "Mommy, who is coming to Thanksgiving dinner?"
"Grandma Linda, Grandpa Vince Sr., Uncle Vinny, Auntie Nattie, along with your cousins and great grandma Vicky," Stephanie answered.
Ten minutes later, they finished breakfast, and the kids cleared the kitchen table of the dirty dishes, glass, and their parents' coffee mugs. Next, Khloe placed the dirty pots and pans into the dishwashing machine, and then John placed the dish soap into the machine, closed the door, and started the dishwashing machine.
"Thank you, princess," John said, smiling at his first princess.
"You're welcome, daddy," she said, walking up the back staircase.
Stephanie came down those stairs, and John smiled, seeing his wife, in casual clothes she looked good in anything she had on.
Stephanie saw him smiling and said, "I see that smile, Mr. Cena."
"What smile, baby."
"You know that smile, honey," she said, starting to prepare Thanksgiving dinner.
John chucked and gave her kisses before heading back upstairs to shower before everyone showed up at the house for dinner. Stephanie chuckled and continued to prepare Thanksgiving dinner. Hours later, the doorbell rang; Stephen walked out of the living room, over to the front door, and asked who is it.
"Stephen, it's grandpa and grandma," Vince Sr. answered. Stephanie unlocks the door and then turns the doorknob opening the door, to see his grandparents standing there.
"Hi, grandma and grandpa come in," he said, opening the door wide for them to enter the house, and then closing the door behind his grandpa.
Vince inhaled the aroma and said, "Something sure smells good."
Stephen and Linda chuckled, "Of course, Stephanie takes after me, her mother."
"Boy do I know that Stephanie takes a right after you, especially having four kids," Vince Sr. said with a smile.
"Careful, grandpa, you could end up on the couch tonight," Stephen said; Linda laughed at her older grandson.
"You tell Grandpa Stephen that grandma is not playing games with him."
Vince shook his head and said, "I am going to find my son-in-law."
"Dad is his den watched the football grandpa," Stephen said
"Thank you, Stephen," Grandpa Vince said, walking down the hallway to John's den.
"You're welcome, grandpa," he said
Linda picked up the pastries box and headed for the kitchen, where her daughter was busy cooking thanksgiving dinner. Stephen escorted his great-grandma into the living room while grandma walked toward the kitchen to see if her daughter Stephanie needed help.
"Hi, there honey," Linda said, entering the kitchen. Stephanie looked up to see her mom there.
"Hi, mom, Happy Thanksgiving," she said, walking over, and hugging her.
"Same to you, honey."
Stephanie walked back over to the island, and her mom joined her at the island when her dad walked into the kitchen.
Hi, there princess, Happy Thanksgiving," he said, walking over to her.
"Hi, dad. Happy Thanksgiving to you, too."
Vince looked at the island, saw appetizers, and asked, "Princess, can I eat this?"
"Yes, dad, you can have one," she replied.
Vince took one, popped the appetizer into his mouth, and said, "Good."
"Thank you, dad," she said with a smile.
"You're welcome, princess," he said, walking out of the kitchen and heading back to the den where John was watching football.
Vince walked down the hallway, stopped by his granddaughter Khloe and said, "Grandpa Can I talk to you?"
"Sure, sweetheart, what's up?"
"Um, I have an idea for the Royal Rumble."
"Okay, what the idea that you have, sweetheart."
"Well, you know the men have a Royal Rumble match."
"Yes, that is true."
"Well, why can't the woman have one, Grandpa? I think they should have a Royal Rumble match; it's only fair, Grandpa."
Vince realized that his granddaughter was right, and said, "Let me think about sweetheart, and then I will give you my answer, okay."
"Okay, grandpa," she said, hugging him, and then walked down the hallway back toward the living room. The doorbell rang. Linda walked out of the kitchen head toward the front door, where she unlocked the lock and then turned the doorknob opened the door, to see her youngest child Vincent with his family.
"H.I., come on in," Linda said.
"Hi, mom, "Vincent and Nattie said together.
"Hi, grandma," the kids said.
"Hi, my sweetie pies," she said, closing the door.
"Happy thanksgiving, mom," Nattie said, removing Cristian's coat.
"Happy Thanksgiving to you, sweetie," she said, opening the closet door and hanging up Cristian's coat.
"Grandma, where is J.J.?" Vincent III asked.
"You know Vincent, I am not sure I haven't seen your cousin since grandpa, and I arrived here at Aunty Stephie and Uncle John's house."
Khloe came out of the living room to see her uncle and aunt had arrived and greet them.
"Hi, uncle Vinny, and Auntie Nattie,' she said, walking over to them.'
"Hi, sweetheart. Happy Thanksgiving."
"Same to you, Auntie, and Uncle."
"Khloe, where is J.J.?" Vincent III asked.
"J.J. is in the playroom playing video games," she answered, and Vincent and Ryan took off down the hallway into the playroom to see their cousin J.J. playing WWE 2K18, the deluxe edition. J.J. grabbed two more controllable, and Vincent and Ryan joined in.
"Hey, are uncle and Aunty buying the WrestleMania edition too?" Ryan asked
"Maybe I am not sure on that one, Ryan," J.J. answered.
Khloe took Cristian's hand and led him into the living room. Lila followed them. Nattie and Linda walked toward the living room and went inside.
"Mommy great nana is here too," Lila said with a smile,
"I see, baby. Hi, grandma."
"Hi, sweetie."
Stephanie walked into the living room, and Cristian ran toward her. Stephanie caught him and lifted him.
'Hi, there, handsome," she said with a smile. Cristian giggles at his auntie.
"Hi, aunty."
"You are so handsome, like my boys," she said, tickling him, "Grandpa Vince needs to be watched out because grandma will max out all his credit cards."
"Hi, aunty Stephie," Lila said to her godmother.
"Hi, there, sweetheart," she said with a smile.
"When is dinner going to be ready, Mommy?" Sophia asked
"In a little while, Sofie girl," Stephanie answered, sitting on the sofa beside her grandma with Cristian in her arms.
"Okay, mommy," she said, returning to walking the movies on TV.
As the turkey cooked, they snacked on appetizers; waiting for the turkey to be done, they chatted and watched TV.
"Are your in-laws coming, Steph?" grandma Vicky asked
"No, my mother and father-in-law are spending thanksgiving with Brie, Jayden, and their four kids, along with Maryse and Mike this year," she answered her grandma.
By 4:30 pm, Stephanie checked the turkey, and it was ready. She then called John and her dad to help her. John and Vince came into the kitchen, and the turkey out of the oven for Stephanie, and placed it on the island, to let it cool off before John carved it. Stephanie took the stuffing out of the oven next, along with the dinner rolls. Thirty minutes later, John began carving up the turkey and placed the meats on a platter that Stephanie placed on the island for him.
As John carved up the turkey, Steph, Linda, and Nattie placed stuffing and all the trimmings on the dining room table. John finished carving up the turkey, picked up the platter, and then walked out of the kitchen into the dining room, then the platter on the table. Finally, they all sat down at the dining room table, and Stephen led them in prayer, giving thanks for the foods that they were about to eat; after the prayer, they began eating the turkey and all the trimmings.
"Mommy, that was delicious," J.J. said, wiping his mouth.
"Yes, very delicious, mommy," Sophia agreed with her twin.
"Very delicious, sweetheart, "John said with a smile.
"Delicious indeed you definitely take after your mother in cooking, princess," Vince Sr. said.
"Thank you for the compliments," she said.
