"-and then she was never heard from again." Sero finished his story proudly lifting his hands above his head.
"What? That's it?" Bakugo scowls "That shit's weak!"
"What are you talking about?! That was gold!" Sero whines.
"Tch, even this four-year-old brat could come up with a better story than that."
Crossing his arms Kota glowered "I'm six years old idiot."
By the time it got dark they were all seated around a campfire trying to see who could come up with the scariest story, which at this point no one could.
Uraraka was surprisingly quiet the whole time only talking when someone asked her something and trying to look anywhere but at Bakugo and Ema who were currently sitting next to each other in front of her.
Bakugo had his usual scowl on his face as he kept flicking things into the fire while Ema was practically almost sitting on his lap with how close she was.
"Hey, you alright? You look kinda down." Deku asked, making sure to keep his voice down.
Pursing her lips, she just nodded her head as she pulled her knees to her chest. "Fine."
"Ok, well if you ever need someone to talk to…"
Looking at his bright green eyes she just smiled "Thanks Deku."
"So…Uraraka do you have any stories?" Ema grinned.
"EH?! Who me?" Now she had no choice but to look at them. Eyes shaking as Ema gently placed her hand on Bakugos shoulder before he shrugged it off.
"Well, that is you name, isn't it?" Ema giggled.
Clenching her fists frowning, she looked down. "I'm not so good at telling scary stories to tell you the truth."
"Pity." Ema smirked.
"Hey Ema, how come you're here? Shouldn't you be off with your class?" Mina asked.
Surprised at the question, Uraraka looked over at Mina, Tsu, Jirou, and Momo who didn't look pleased. While Hagakure just had her arms crossed from what she could tell.
"Oh yeah, they are watching some lame movie right now. So, I rather hang out with you guys." She said as she smiled at everyone.
"Pity." Jirou mumbled.
Bakugo took the chance to sneak a peek at Uraraka while her attention was towards Jirou before quickly averting his eyes again.
Clearing his throat Kirishima felt the hostility coming from the girls in the class while most of the boys just looked around clueless wondering what was going on.
Smirking, Kota leaned forward "Can I just say that you guys look so cute together."
"Aww that's so sweet of you to say Kota." She smiled at the boy who just rolled his eyes before he smirked back at Bakugo.
"Shut it you little brat." Bakugo growled.
"Come on Bakugo he's just being sweet." She playfully nudged him, batting her eyelashes.
Watching Bakugo scrunch up his face and lean away Kirishima had to look the other way laughing.
Todoroki leaned towards Deku whispering "See that's what I was talking about. She's doing that again."
"Eh…I think she's doing that on purpose Todoroki." Trying to keep a straight face Deku whispered back.
"Ok I got a real good one!" Kaminari says jumping in his seat as he started the story off.
Uraraka tried her hardest to listen to the story… she really did. But with every passing minute she just felt like leaving. Hearing Ema constantly whispering to him or leaning closer she had a hard time even smiling just staring down and playing with her finger pads instead. 'Why am I feeling like this? What is this heavy feeling in my chest?'
After Kaminari finished his story, everyone booed and laughed.
"HEY!"
"Pff that wasn't scary." Mina playfully ruffled his hair.
"Man, I heard that story back in middle school dude." Kirishima laughed.
"That is true. I heard it myself as well." Iida nodded.
"Oh man…seriously? Even Iida?" Kaminari whines sitting back down in defeat while Jirou covers her mouth laughing.
"Hey! I got one!" Kota jumps up excitedly. Quickly walking over to Uraraka he placed a hand on her shoulder. "But Uraraka if you get scared, I'll be here to protect you babe." Winking, he took his seat.
Amused, she grinned at him. "Uh thanks Kota I'll try my best."
"Just tell the story already you damn brat."
"Alright…so this happened a long time ago. Deep within this very forest…"
Listening intently to Kotas' story Uraraka still continued to hear Ema quietly giggling about something. From the corner of her eye, she could see Ema say something to Bakugo which he ignored, too interested in listening to Kota talk. Every so often he would say something back which Uraraka couldn't hear until she saw Ema smiling and moving closer.
'I can't take this anymore I need to leave.' Clenching her fist, she put on a fake smile and whispered to Deku knowing everyone was too caught up in Kotas story. "Hey Deku, I'll be right back."
"Oh ok." he nodded before going back to listening to the boys' story.
Quickly walking away from the campfire and into the forest she could already feel her eyes water up. Placing her hand against a tree she closed her eyes, trying to force the tears away.
"Oi, round-face you alright?"
'Oh man…not him…not right now.' Hoping if she stayed quiet long enough that he would just get bored or annoyed and walk away.
"Oi round-face don't ignore me!" quickly taking another step towards her.
'Well, there goes that…' she though, taking a sharp breath in she turned around placing her hands behind her. "Hey Bakugo! Yup I'm fine." She grins. "What are you doing here? Shouldn't you be with…everyone?"
He saw him standing there with one hand in his pocket watching her closely. He wouldn't outright admit that he had followed her as soon as he saw her leaving knowing that something was wrong. He was debating on leaving her alone since it was none of his business anyways. But couldn't stop himself to make sure she was ok.
"You know you're a shitty liar."
"Who says I'm lying."
"I am."
Turning her back towards him she looked at the sky "Honestly I'm fine, I just needed to get some fresh air."
"Tch, whatever." He scowled, turning to head back before stopping and letting out a frustrated groan. Walking to stand right in front of her. "You always to this shit! Every time I ask you something you always avoid my questions! Why is that?"
Giving him a perplexed look, she didn't know what to say. "What? Ba-Bakugo I'm-"
"And I swear on everything if you say you're fine one more time, I'll light your ass up right now." He glared dangerously.
"Alright…well I don't know what you want me to say Bakugo."
"Round-face…" he started tapping his foot impatiently. "Answer my question."
"I did." She pouted and crossed her arms annoyed. "And anyways why do you even call me all those names? After all this time you would think you knew everyone's names by now."
Scoffing, he rolled his eyes. "Here we go again you see." He shakes his finger at her "But you know what? Fine I'll indulge you…I call you those names because they suit you. And YES, I know what your fuckin name is round-face."
Quirking an eyebrow "Oh really?"
Running his hand through his hair frustrated he huffs "YES! I do. UR-RA-RA-KA." He flicks her on the forehead.
"Hey!" she rubs her forehead pouting.
"I've called you that before. What? You're telling me you don't fuckin remember that?" He frowned watching her stay silent. "Fine. Now since I answered your dumb question, now answer mine. What's wrong?"
"Why do you want to know so badly?"
"I don't!" Throwing his hands in the air "I just-"
"Look Bakugo…. I appreciate you coming to check on me. But just go back to the campfire."
"Why?"
"Well, I'm sure…there are people who are wondering where you've gone."
"Oh, really now? Like I give a shit."
"You should. Look I think it would be best if you just went back, so people don't get the wrong idea."
"Wrong idea about what? Look round-face I don't have time for this ok. Just say it like it is. What's wrong with me being here?" giving her a serious look.
"It's just-"
"Do you not want me here?" he asked, tilting his head.
"No, it's not that-"
"Oh, so you do want me stay?" He slowly starts to smirk as he walks closer to her. "…round-face?"
"Huh?"
"Do I make you nervous?"
"Eh of course not." averting her eyes she takes another step back feeling the tree on her back. "Ba-Bakugo…it's just I-I think Ema might miss you."
"Ema? Who the he…" Frowning he suddenly remembers who she was referring to. "What does she have to do with anything?"
Feeling embarrassed she starts playing with her finger pads. "Nothing. Just forget it."
Dumbfounded he stared at her for a second before realization dawned on him. "Hold on." Lifting his hands up he rapidly starts blinking before landing back on her. "Are you fuckin telling me you're jealous?!"
"WHAT?! NO!" Horrified she started covering her face. "I never said that!"
Gently pulling her hands down he looked at her amused. "You didn't have to."
"What is that supposed to mean?"
Shrugging, he simply put his hands in his pockets still smirking. "I mean if you are then you are. No use in denying it now round-face."
"I'm not jealous. I mean why would I be?"
"I don't know. You tell me."
"Well, I'm not."
"Alright if you say so. But then let me ask you this…" he says as he steps closer placing a finger to his lip briefly before locking eyes with her.
Feeling heat rush to her cheeks by the way his crimson eyes just stared at her. "What?"
Placing his palm against the tree he slowly looked over her face. "Why are you blushing round-face?"
"I-I'm not." She stuttered seeing something flicker in his amused eyes.
"You sure about that?" He slowly lifted his hand gently stroking her cheek with his thump while slightly tilting his face. "Then why are you shaking?"
"Bakugo…." Breathing in his sweet cinnamon like smell Urarakas eyes started feeling heavy. "What are you doing?"
"Nothing..."
"Ok…well I think we should be headed back now." She quickly moves his hand away as she steps sideways. Suddenly seeing him slam his hand on the other side of the tree to prevent her from leaving, she quickly looks at him.
With his bangs covering his face she couldn't tell what was wrong until he spoke. "Why because you have someone waiting for you?"
"Wait. What now?" Confused, she tilted her head waiting for him to elaborate.
"You heard me. Is he waiting for you?"
"Who?"
"Tch. Shinso who else!"
"Shinso?" stumbling back her eyes widened. "Why would you-"
"Don't fuckin lie round-face. I saw you guys." He stepped back removing his hands.
"Bakugo we were just training. Not that I owe you any explanation to begin with" she rubs her temple.
"Tch, that didn't look like training to me."
"Well, it was." She tries to walk around him only to be stopped again.
"You sure about that?" lifting his eyebrows he stepped closer.
Feeling her heart racing by the way his crimson eyes just continued to stare at her making her feel flustered and looking down. "Bakugo-"
Gently lifting her chin up with his finger, he quickly looked at her lips "What would you do… if I kissed you?" studying her face for any reaction he met her gaze "Would you let me?"
Stunt Uraraka didn't know what to say. Repeatedly opening and closing her mouth no words would come out. "Wh…wa…huh?"
Chuckling, he continued to watch her with a smug look on his face. "You heard me. Why so nervous angel face?"
"I'm…not." She managed to say calmly while on the inside she was panicking. 'Angel face?!"
"Then answer me…." he said as his eyes landed on her lips once again. "Unless…. you've never kissed someone before…have you?" slightly frowning as he looked at her.
"That's…none of your business." She glared at him.
"Alright, well that answers that question." He smirked as he slowly started leaning in as her eyes widened.
'Wait don't tell me…Is he about to…?!'
