A/N: Warning for things Isamot will be doing in this chapter that will be very bloody and violent.

John and Isamot eventually stumbled upon the only two surviving Honor Guard members, Boodikka and Chaselon. The two were struggling to keep up the double barriered dome around them as they were under fire from plasma blasters. The two Green Lanterns both unleashed a wave of energy from the rings to throw back the Gordanian assailants. John and Isamot then touched down in front of the two Honor Guard members and readied their rings for an attack upon the remaining Gordanian forces. Isamot quickly dropped his hand to his side when he saw they were not just surrounded by Gordanians but also Thanagarians and Lizarkons. John had as well lowered his ring a bit when he saw the Thanagarians before him.

"What?" Isamot's voice was barely audible. His face easily showcased his utter despair. "No..."

The Thanagarians and Lizarkons slightly lowered their weapons upon seeing Isamot and it was clearly evident they were reluctant to fire upon him. John was surprised by this as he had assumed that the Thanagarians would have little to no love lost for their planet's Green Lantern. Perhaps Isamot's efforts to help in their fight against the Gordanians had begun to change their views towards the Corps.

"Why are you all here?" Isamot asked them. "Why are you fighting for the Gordanians?"

"Isamot," John muttered to him. "We don't have time for this."

Isamot held his hand up to John, signaling for him to back off. He then took a tentative step towards them, "Listen we can help. We'll liberate you all."

"We don't want to fight you Isamot but if we have to then we will," one of the Lizarkons warned as he raised his blaster at him.

A Thanagarian soldier spoke up, "The Gordanians are using-" The female soldier was suddenly cutoff as a shot rang out and an ion blast pierced through her chest.

"No!" Isamot exclaimed as he reached his hand out in vain towards the fallen Thanagarian. He looked up and immediately scowled when he saw the Gordanian troops looming behind the Thanagarians and Lizarkons.

One of the Gordanian soldiers sneered as he step over the dead Thanagarian, "You want to help them little Green Lantern? I believe they no longer require your brand of assistance."

Isamot scowled, "Nir'satks, this isn't like back on Thanagar. This time it's not just one Green Lantern facing you. You have hundreds to face now. I will liberate my people and then my planet."

"Liberate like you did by shooting down those ships? There weren't just Thanagarians on those ships," another Gordanian stated with pompous smirk. "Yes Gordanians were as well on those ships but so were your own people."

Isamot's eyes widened as he shakingly exhaled, "What?"

"Don't worry," a Gordanian began as he lifted his blaster. "You'll join your kin soon enough."

"Isamot move!" John suddenly moved in front of Isamot and created a wall in front of them as the Gordanians, Thanagarians, and Lizarkons began to fire upon them. Soon Boodikka and Chaselon as well aided John and created walls of their own behind his.

"We can't hold them back for long," Boodikka said as she glanced over to John. "I don't know how they got them but they're using Xantha Charges. Our constructs aren't going to last long against those."

"Then there's those weapons the Gordanians are using," Chaselon added on. "Those aren't typical Gordanian weapons. They normally just use ion-core staffs."

John narrowed his eyes slightly as he looked over the Gordanians. He had only seen glimpses of Gordanians in the hologram footage Hro Talak had shown everyone under the guise that he was there with the other Thanagarians to protect them. Seeing a Gordanian up close was much different from the footage and even Shayera's own depictions of them. They were reptilian in appearance but much more humanoid than Isamot and the other Lizarkons. They were also much larger both in height and mass. John figured they could pack a decent punch without their weapons. That was when John took notice of their weapons. He could tell the staffs had a blaster at the ends of them; John also noted that some Gordanians were holding up electrified staffs at the Thanagarians and Lizarkons. If it wasn't obvious they were being forced to fight before it was at this point. He then noticed the axes and spears some of the Gordanians were carrying. That was when John scowled. He recognized that metal. He saw that type of metal everyday back on Earth.

"That's Nth metal," John stated. "The Gordanians knew they were going to fight us. They came prepared. Xantha Charges can destroy our constructs and so can Nth metal with enough muscle behind it. Judging by how bulky they are, I'm sure the Gordanians can do so. Isamot, you know Thanagarian weapons, how can we efficiently destroy those blasters they're using?" Not getting a response, John turned his head towards Isamot. "Isamot?"

Isamot was on his knees as he blankly stared forward, "I...I killed them...I didn't...I..."

John frowned, "Come on Isamot we need you right now. Get it together."

"We need to retreat," Chaselon said. "We don't stand a chance. We need to come back with reinforcements and take them down."

Boodikka nodded, "Agreed, we four create a wormhole and retreat back to Culacao. From there we recharge our rings and plan our method of attack."

"Only problem is that Isamot and I have barely any charge left in our rings," John stated. "We made a wormhole to get here. We need at least four Lanterns with a decent charge in their rings left to get off of this planet."

Chaselon glanced over to Isamot and then back over to Boodikka, "Plus I don't think Isamot's gonna be of any help. He's in shock."

Suddenly dozens of green stakes rained down from the sky and impaled multiple Gordanians, Thanagarians, and Lizarkons. John, Boodikka, and Chaselon looked up to see Katma floating above them. Kilowog and Kyle then flew past her and charged at their enemy combatants. Kyle created a snow plow to literally plow through the soldiers. Kilowog simply created a large, solid block that he dropped onto them and crushed them.

"I see you were having fun without us," Katma stated with a light smirk.

John rolled his eyes, "Yeah we're having a real blast out here."

Isamot's eye twitched as he breathed heavily and mumbled, "They...tricked me...I killed them...I did...I'll...kill them... kill them all..."

John looked over to Isamot, "Isamot?"

Slowly Isamot stood and began to let out a feral growl, "You tricked me! You'll pay!" Isamot charged towards a Gordanian soldier as others began to fire upon him. The shots that rang out either narrowly missed Isamot, due to his erratic flight pattern, or just grazed against his body, causing a stinging pain but nearly not enough to stop him in his fury. Isamot then sunk his teeth aggressively into the Gordanian's neck and ripped his throat out. Blood ran out of Isamot's mouth as he dropped the Gordanian to the ground, who died almost instantly.

As Isamot steadied his breathing, another Gordanian jumped at him and slammed his fist into Isamot's face, causing him to loose his balance and fall to the ground. As Isamot scrambled to get up, the Gordanian snarled angrily and stabbed his spear into the Lizarkon's shoulder. The Gordanian jumped at him again so Isamot ducked, extended his claws, and slashed the Gordanian's throat open. The Gordanian roared in pain, covering the wound in vain, as blood began spilling out of his throat. The Gordanian began coughing and gagging. Soon he fell to the ground and after a few last breaths his breathing ceased and another Gordanian was dead.

Isamot silently stared down at the dead Gordanian before him. Oddly enough he was smiling despite not feeling any joy. The other Green Lanterns had watched in utter silence and, for Kyle, repulsion. The other remaining soldiers, who weren't dead or unconscious, seemed to be in shock at the display of brutality.

John found himself swallowing as he looked at the carnage Isamot had caused. He opened his mouth to speak but found no words that could come forth. Instead it was Kyle who spoke, "What in the hell? What the hell is wrong with you?"

Isamot's eyes widened and he shook his head. He looked at the one dead Gordanian and then the other. He then looked back at the other six other Green Lanterns with a look of astonishment, "I didn't think...they deserved it though."

A large Gordanian suddenly jumped at Isamot, grabbing him, and spun the Lizarkon around so that he could land an uppercut on him, easily sending Isamot sprawling to the ground. The Gordanian walked up to the dazed Green Lantern and raised his spear into the air, ready to strike the Lizarkon in the head. Before the Gordanian could strike, a blade construct pierced through his back and came through his stomach. The Gordanian dropped his spear and slowly looked down at the wound. Isamot looked past the Gordanian to see that John was the source of the construct. Isamot saw that John sighed and the construct disappeared. The Gordanian then fell to the ground and quickly bled out.

The remaining Thanagarians and Lizarkons were then ordered to once again fire upon the Green Lanterns. Boodikka and Chaselon once again created a barrier between them and the soldiers. The remaining Gordanians began to strike the barrier with their Nth metal weapons.

"I'll hold the barrier," Chaselon stated as he looked over to Boodikka. "You help them create the wormhole. I'll be right behind you."

Boodikka nodded as she allowed her barrier to disappear and she turned her attention to the others, "We're going to make a break for it. We make the wormhole and get back to Culacao. From there we'll regroup with the other Green Lanterns and plan a proper assault."

Katma nodded, "Wise decision."

"Isamot and I saw a Thanagarian warship right outside of this planet's orbit," John stated. "I'm sure the Gordanians have a shit ton of more soldiers up there and I'm sure they'll be sending more now that they know the Green Lantern Corps is here."

"Which is why we're making a hasty retreat," Boodikka turned away from them and held up her ring. Katma, Kyle, and Kilowog joined her as they assisted in creating the wormhole.

Isamot blankly stared at the three dead Gordanians before looking up and seeing the dead Thanagarians and Lizarkons littering the ground. He clenched his fists, bared his teeth, and lowered his head, "I'll make them all pay."

John turned towards Isamot who was still standing in silence. He placed his hand on the Lizarkon's shoulder, causing him to jump slightly, "Come on Isamot, we gotta get out of here."

Isamot slowly looked up at John before nodding, "Yeah...yeah you're right. Let's go."

Chaselon grunted as his barrier began to crack, "Hurry it up! I can't hold them back for much longer!"

"Move it or lose it guys!" Kyle called out to them as Kilowog, Katma, and Boodikka had already went into the wormhole.

Chaselon, John, and Isamot didn't need another invitation as Chaselon dropped the barrier he had been maintaining. The remaining four Green Lanterns entered the wormhole and fled back towards Culacao. Once back on Culacao none of them spoke. They all knew what had happened on Euphorix had effectively handed the Green Lantern Corps their first loss within the war.

A/N: Just a glimpse of some Thanagarians and Lizarkons, we'll be seeing them again eventually. Just remember Gordanians are slavers and they have enslaved Thanagar at this point in the DCAU so neither species is there willingly. It's either fight or be killed.
