Author's note: Hello, dreamers! So, I've decided to end this book a few months early. The reason is when I first made this story in my head, nothing of note really happened between this point and the end of the year. I did plan to do Frozen in December, but I would rather have that as the first mission of book 3, so it has room to breathe. I feel like I would be taking away from The Dreams story because my Frozen story really has nothing to do with The Dreams. So, enjoy!

When Coletta opened the door to the Mansion of Lucidity, she was shocked by what she saw! Everyone was asleep! Aurora was on the couch, Cadenza was on the kitchen floor, Corrin was in the living room, and Esperanza was on the other couch!

Coletta knew this was The Dreams' doing! She raced up to Lily's room, to see if she was ok. Coletta could feel herself falling asleep. She had to get to Lily. She staggered up the stairs, and down the hallway to her room. She opened Lily's bedroom door, just before she blacked out.

When Coletta came to, Lily was standing above her. "You're awake!" She said.

"W-what happened...?" Coletta asked.

"I-I don't know... Everyone fell asleep, but we're all awake now. The others are downstairs." Lily said.

Coletta went downstairs. As she was walking, she noticed something strange. This didn't feel real. Coletta felt a 'mystified' feeling in the air, like nothing she could describe. "Wait... Am I dreaming?" Coletta asked. All of a sudden, she felt more aware than ever. Wait... "NO!" Coletta said. She tried to wake up. She was lucid dreaming! The type of dreaming the Nightdreamers practice!

"Lily! We have to wake up! Since this is the Lucid Dreamworld, the Nightdreamers are probably here!" Coletta said. She ran downstairs. Everyone was awake, alert, and walking around.

"Coletta! Come here, quick!" Lily said from upstairs.

Coletta ran upstairs, to see if Lily is in danger. Lily was in the study. "Coletta, you have to look at this!" She pointed to the desk. "I think the Nightdreamers have been lucid dreaming and using the light lucid dreaming version of our house as their lair while we use the light dream version of the house! I know that because I just found a bunch of Nightdreamer documents and stuff!" Lily said.

Coletta read the documents. Her heart stopped.

Everything is in place. We'll retrieve Johnny Worthington and our plan will be complete! The Dreams will possess Johnny, and the throne will be Megan's!

-Queen Morgana

"This must've been written before Morgana sealed herself away!" Coletta said.

"Possess Johnny? Why do they need to do that?" Lily asked.

"Because he will be the next Controller of Dreams." It was Megan! She was right behind Coletta and Lily!

"Megan! I should've known you were watching us!" Lily said.

"Why do you need Johnny?" Coletta asked.

"Because, just like Lucas Lee was Lily's brother, Johnny Worthington is mine," Megan said. Lily and Coletta's eyes widened. She continued. "The Controller of Dreams will have the ultimate lucid dreaming power, which is even more powerful than The Dreams themselves. Whoever The Dreams uses will be lost to them forever, so my mother wants johnny to become the Controller, and me to ascend the throne!" Megan said.

"But that's so evil! Why won't you two join the Daydreamers?" Lily asked.

"Because you took my brother from me! You understand how it feels, don't you?" Megan asked.

"I do. But, I don't want to hurt anyone! That's why I'm going around and redeeming villains! Why do you think I'm taking in all of these evil characters? It's because I want everyone to live together in peace and harmony!" Lily said.

Lily could see something flash in Megan's eyes. Was she finally getting through to her cousin? But, Megan shook her head. "No. I'm sorry. I'm the princess of the Nightdreamers! My place is in the dark! Lily, for as long as I could remember, I've secretly wanted the same thing as you!" Megan said.

"Then what's stopping you and Aunt Morgana from coming here?" Lily asked.

"That's just the problem. Since my mother sealed herself away in the gem, I've been the one stuck using it. It's a part of me, just like yours is a part of you. If I come to stay with you, everyone will see me as a villain!" Megan said.

"But we won't, Megan! We want every villain, including you, to come live with us!" Coletta said.

"And we'll even let your mom live with us when we free my mom from the Ethereal Gem!" Lily said.

"I-I..." Megan pondered for a second. In a moment that would change her life forever, she walked up to Lily. "I want to stay at the Mansion of Lucidity! I'll save my mother, and even save The Dreams!"

The two girls shook hands. "Thank you, Megan. Everything will be alright. Now, we need to get to Johnny, and save him from The Dreams!" Lily said.

"But The Dreams has taken over everywhere! How are we going to defeat them?" Coletta asked.

Lily grinned. "We may have to break a few old rules..."

Coletta knew exactly what she meant. "Oh, no. We won't have any lucid dreaming in this house. We're Daydreamers!" Coletta said. But she saw how hurt Megan looked. "Oh, sorry. I forgot... Listen, we may be able to use lucid dreaming for our benefit, but we need to tread very lightly!" Coletta said.

So, Lily and Aurora rallied everyone up in the living room. Lily explained how Megan was going to be joining them. Everyone was excited because this was something long awaited.

"We're so happy to finally have you with us, Megan!" Coletta said.

"Thank you! I've been secretly wanting the heroes to accept me for a long time, but I never had the courage to truly tell them." Megan said.

"Well, all that matters is that you're here now. We accept you, villain, or not!" Aurora said.

"Alright. Now that Megan's with us, we need to think of a plan. We'll need to lucid dream, in order to defeat The Dreams!" Lily said. Everyone gasped. They didn't want to use dark energy! "Look, I know what you're all thinking. I'm worried about lucid dreaming, also, but we have to do it, in order to defeat The Dreams!" Lily said. So, everyone got to work. They read the most forbidden books in the restricted section of the Haventown Library about lucid dreaming.

After they practiced, they gathered back in the Mansion of Lucidity living room.

"Ok, here's the plan! You guys distract The Dreams but don't let them get too close. Since I'm the daughter of the Nightdreamer queen, and The Dreams are just pure Nightdreamer magic, I could travel within them, and try to save them." Megan said. She turned to Lily. "Lily, if I can reason with The Dreams enough to make them listen to me, you might be able to purify them!" Megan said.

"Ok! I'll bring my staff along with me!" Lily said.

"Wait, but we don't know how to find The Dreams!" Cadenza said.

"You're lucky you have me! No one except me knows how to get to my mother's palace! The Dreams always go there! It's like their home!" Megan said. Lily smiled, knowing even villains needed homes.

"Alright, is everyone ready?" Megan said.

"Ready!" Everyone said at the same time.

"Then, let's go!" Megan said. She used her Nightdreamer powers and teleported everyone to her old home, Nightdreamer Palace!

"Wow... This is where you lived? I thought an evil villain's lair would be run down, and ugly, but this is beautiful!" Lily was right. Even though Nightdreamer Palace was seen as an evil place, it was still very beautiful and regal.

"Thank you. I didn't know what the Daydreamers would think about this place!" Megan said. The group walked deeper into the dark palace. They came upon two tall doors.

"The doors to my mom's throne room!" Megan whispered. She, Lily, and Cadenza put their ears to the door.

"I can't believe this! The Daydreamers have kidnapped my dear Megan!" Morgana was talking to someone.

"We'll find her. She can't be far. those insufferable heroes probably took her to the Mansion of Lucidity!" It was Randall Boggs!

"Please find her! I want her safe for when The Dreams take over!" Morgana said.

She's looking for Megan! Even though she's a villain, she's no different from my mother! She loves her daughter! Lily thought.

"I'm sorry, guys, but I can't stand hearing her like this! I need to let her know I'm ok!" Megan whispered, before opening the door.

When Queen Morgana saw her daughter safe, she was absolutely ecstatic. "OH, MEGAN!" She lept from the throne, nearly knocking over Randall. She hugged her daughter with all her might. "I'M SO GLAD YOU'RE SAFE!"

"I'm ok, mom! My new friends are here!" Megan said.

When Morgana saw the Daydreamers in her palace, she was enraged. She faced them. "How DARE you steal my daughter, and just waltz into my palace!" Morgana yelled.'

Megan stood in front of her new friends. "Wait, mom! These are my new friends! This is Lily and Cadenza!" Megan said.

"You daydreamers have brainwashed my DAUGHTER?" Morgana yelled. She unleashed a blast of Nightdreamer magic at Lily and Coletta. Megan jumped in front and conjured a shield.

"I won't let you hurt them! Mother, I want to go with the heroes! And if you don't understand that, I'll just have to make you!" Megan was serious. She Loved her family, including her mother!

But Morgana just narrowed her eyes and said, "You're no daughter of mine, Megan. Go with the heroes if you want, but don't return here." How could her own mother be so cruel?

But Megan knew her mother wouldn't stay mad. "Don't worry. I'll find a way back to you, mother. I'll never give up on trying to save you from the darkness!"

"Megan, I am the darkness. Just as Alessia is the light." Morgana said. Lily noticed something flash in her eyes. It looked like sadness.

Lily stepped forward. "Aunt Morgana? Are you sad because you think no one will forgive you for what you did?" Lily asked. "I'm basically the princess of forgiveness, so you don't have to worry about that." She was right.

"No. it's not that. You heroes have wronged villains for far too long! I know exactly what you're trying to do! You're trying to forgive all of the villains you can because you're scared we'll uprise against you!" Morgana said.

"No, it's not that! I hate your plan of trying to kidnap Johnny! He isn't even a full-fledged villain! Why would you even do that?" Lily asked.

Morgana explained. "It's more complicated than that! The reason Johnny needs to absorb The Dreams' power is that... He is my eldest child."

Everyone's jaw hit the floor when she said that.

"Megan, is this true?" Lily asked.

"Yes, it's true. Johnny, Dio, and I grew up together until Johnny went off to college. My mother wanted The Dream Spirit to be a monster, so she created Johnny as he is. She wanted him to be The Dream Spirit because Dream Spirits are usually the eldest. At the same time, I would inherit my mother's throne. It would be just like it is now, only with me on the throne controlling The Dreams. But I couldn't let that happen. Letting The Dreams poses Johnny will destroy him, and countless others!" Megan said.

"Forget Johnny. You can have him. But you've forgotten one thing." Morgana gave a devious grin. "I am the Nightdreamer Queen!" She mumbled some words, and all of a sudden, The Dreams started materializing around her.

Megan's eyes widened. She knew what her mother was going to do. "MOTHER, NO!" Megan screamed.

"You're too late, Daydreamers!" Morgana said. She started glowing purple, preparing to use the power of The Dreams. She unleashed the purple smoke, and engulfed everyone!

When the heroes came to, they realized they were actually WITHIN The Dreams!

"Megan, are you ok?" Lily asked. Megan was asleep. Everyone was asleep, except for her. Ahead of Lily was Morgana.

"Aunt Morgana, stop this! Not only are you hurting us, but you're also hurting Megan!" Lily said.

"You don't understand. The heroes took everything from me!" Morgana said.

Lily had enough. She wanted to know why her aunt was like this. "Why? What did they do to you?"

"You mean Aurora never told you? Lucas wasn't your adopted brother, he was your cousin! He was the brother of Johnny and Megan! He was my second eldest son!" Morgana said.

Lily's eyes widened. "Wait, what? Lucas was my COUSIN?" She asked.

"Yes. He decided to leave the villain lifestyle, and come live in Haventown with you. But then, that stupid Scott Pilgrim boy took him from us!" Morgana started crying.

"Aunt Morgana, come with us! I have a way to bring Lucas back!" Lily explained the wish she made.

But Morgana didn't expect that to work. "It's probably just a dumb magic trick! That wizard's probably lying!"

"But what if he's not? If you were given an opportunity to bring back Lucas, would you have made the wish?" Lily asked.

"I-I- I would have. I would have done anything to bring one of my children back!" Morgana said, with tears in her eyes. She looked at Megan's sleeping figure. "And now, I must protect them!" Morgana's love for her children was enough to break The Dreams' hold on her!

Morgana, Lily, and everyone else appeared in the Mansion of Lucidity. They had dispeled The Dreams!

"We did it! We defeated The Dreams!" Lily said.

"But not for long. We need more power to be able to fully defeat them. I never thought I would be doing this, but... I'm joining you, Lily. Let's get the others together, and we'll think about our next move... Even though we managed to dispell them, they'll still be able to attack you In Your Dreams...

Author's note: So, there you have it! The ending to book 2! Book 3 will be a very important book for me to write, because it's more nostalgia fueled. So, anyway, Morgana's now on the team! We still have to fight The Dreams, though. So, I'll see you in the next book! Stay lucid!
