Special Containment Procedures: Samples are kept in six separate capsules within a metal container in a 4x4 meter containment cell within Site-AA.

Description: SCP-AAJ is a single celled parasite that can form together into a multicellular hive minded parasite that takes the form of a creamy, edible, and sweat substance easily mistaken for ice cream. Biologically SCP-AAJ is closer to Saccharomyces cerevisiae being able to work as both a single celled organism as well as a multicellular colony. However, unlike Saccharomyces cerevisiae SCP-AAJ is fully sentient regardless of how large its mass is and what it currently possesses.

SCP-AAJ for whatever reason has a sweet taste and thus is perceived as edible. In reality this is a defense mechanism for any potential predators of SCP-AAJ. When consumed SCP-AAJ can't be naturally broken down by the digestive system of the consumer. Instead of being digested, SCP-AAJ's remains within the stomach while release a sort of venom into the nervous system. Unlike normal venom that deteriorate the hosts health and/ or leads to death, the venom of SCP-AAJ causes the host to become addicted to the consumption of SCP-AAJ. As the victim consumes more and more of SCP-AAJ, SCP-AAJ begins to build up into the digestive system where it slowly multiplies and works its way into the other organs of the body. while simultaneously devouring the organs it also controls the nervous system enforcing the addiction further.

This process continues until the body hollowed-out body devoid of bones, muscles, and organs. SCP-AAJ will multiply until it fills up the entire body allowing it to replace the bones, muscles, and organs making the husk visibly no different than a human; how this is possible is unknown. This does not deny that SCP-AAJ victims, now known as SCP-AAJ-1 instances, are still fragile and can easily be decapitated by a simple punch. Though they are weak this is not to say they aren't dangerous. SCP-AAJ-1 instances have the same desire of growth and infection as SCP-AAJ as a whole and enact its will by helping to sell the stuff and killing anyone who gets in the way.

SCP-AAJ was discovered on June 14, 1985, when a short-lived ice cream called "The Stuff" was sold on markets everywhere and quickly became the dominant product on the ice cream industry. The UIU of the FBI were the first to investigate and when its anomalous and hostile properties were revealed, Foundation agents within the FBI took over the case right away.

Foundation and UIU agents searched several leads only to walk into traps set up by SCP-AAJ to get rid of them, thinking it would reveal the truth. Thankfully no agents from either organization were lost to SCP-AAJ. SCP-AAJ was found to have not been manufactured but harvested from underground pockets of the earth where SCP-AAJ reproduces itself on mass, meaning the anomaly is terrestrial. This made it clear that SCP-AAJ was the indeed the entirety of "The Stuff" ice cream. As such Foundation and UIU agents pulled out of the investigation and Mobile Task Force Lambda-12 were sent in to destroy the factory and contain the remainder of SCP-AAJ. Upon arrival of the main factory supplying SCP-AAJ MTF Lambda-12 was attacked by a local militia group that was determined to take matters into their own hands. Because of overwhelming firepower and SCP-AAJ flooding the factory the militia group was forced to retreat while Lambda-12 utilized their flame throwers and biohazard vacuums to cull and harvest the SCP-AAJ instances. Later UIU agents found out the militia group were working with civilians to expose the world to SCP-AAJ thus causing a potential XV class broken veil scenario. UIU agents intervened and instead broadcasted how the FBI has put a health hazard on "The Stuff" and all local law enforcement will be visiting homes and raiding stores to get rid of all instances of the products. The US government was forced to comply and had law enforcement from all over the US get rid of every SCP-AAJ instance in the wild.

Unfortunately, the national raid was a failure and SCP-AAJ is still on the black market. As such Mobile Task Force Aphrodite-1: Sweet Seekers, are to locate and destroy every SCP-AAJ and SCP-AAJ-1 instance out in the wild. All while Mobile Task Force Dionysus-2: It Came from Below, are in charge of finding any remaining SCP-AAJ hives within the earth and are to infect them with a necrosis virus to prevent them from surfacing and getting more victims.

MTF Aphrodite-1 have confirmed that American gangs, Mexican cartels, Marshall, Carter, and Dark Ltd., and Dr. Wondertainment are in possession of SCP-AAJ instances and are currently experimenting with and trying to sell them.
