"Taylor, if I'm calling you please answer it!" Joe said when she finally answered his phone call.

"I was changing Wesley's diaper sorry…!"

"I need you to pack up whatever you need and go to Grandpas." He tells her quietly.

"What? Why!?"

"Don't ask questions, just do it."

"Do you know how much shit I have to pack? Why can't someone come here?" She asks trying to figure out an alternative.

"Because the point is to get out of our building. You trust me don't you?"

"Of course I do…" she realized he was legit, like this was not a drill.

"Then you'll just do it. Call me when you get there so I know." He says.

"Joe you're scaring the hell out of me."

"Yeah, well…just get out, I have to go."

"Okay..." she says hesitating.

"I love you."

"Love you…I feel like I should tell you to be careful too." She said and he didn't really say anything before they hung up. Her heart was pounding, she looked around thinking about everything she'd have to take with her and got moving.

After only 20 minutes she had everything in the trunk of her car, thanks to the body wrap she wore Wesley in. He slept the entire time, even getting transferred into his car seat.

She got to Franks and Henry was there to help bring the stuff inside.

"Can I ask you what's going on?" She confronts. He lets out a breathy laugh while he thinks.

"Well, to be honest I'm not even sure. But the cop in me tells me it's a threat."

"Like a threat of what?"

"Could be a bomb, a shooting, we won't know until it happens."

"What if it doesn't happen?"

"Then are minds are left to wonder. That's just how it is." He shrugs and takes her little travel cooler filled with milk to the freezer. She glanced down at Wesley asleep in the car seat.

"What if we're not far enough away?" She asks with fear.

"Joes not an idiot, he wouldn't have told you to come here if it wasn't." He says shutting the freezer door and coming back over to her.

"You're right." She says taking a deep breath to calm her nerves.

"Besides. I was also told by a little birdie to stay put." He winked and Taylor felt relieved.

As the night went on, it was just Henry, Taylor and Wesley. He was telling her all about his life. About his time on the job, his late wife, stories about all the grandkids growing up. She was enjoying hearing about it all, it took her mind off what was going on.

Taylor woke up the following day and went downstairs to find Henry making breakfast and Frank drinking a cup of coffee before he headed to work.

"Good morning." Frank smiled at her, she had Wesley over her shoulder, she fed him before she came down.

"I take it as a good sign you're here now?" She says with a laugh and sits down at the table with him.

"Can neither confirm nor deny." He takes another sip of coffee but smiles. She brings Wesley down into her arms, her stomach sorta jumps in her throat thinking about if Joe was okay or not. She sets her phone on the table, taps it to make sure there isn't any new messages or missed calls.

"He hasn't answered me, or called to check in." She announces.

"Well, just means he's working." Frank says with a nod and grin.

"No news is good news." Henry tells her taking a frying pan off the stove.

"I just wanna know what's going on, why can't anyone say anything to me?" She's frustrated.

"All you need to know is, you're safe here, and everything's taken care of." Frank tells her.

"But is Joe safe? Why hasn't he responded? He's not like that. Have you talked to him?" She has a million questions.

"I think you need some breakfast, how do you like your eggs?" Henry asked trying to change the subject. Frank got up from the table.

"I'm not hungry." She said, Henry sighed, exchanged looks with Frank.

"Taylor, don't worry. I know it's harder said than done but, well…just try." Frank said with a side hug and kiss on her head "See ya tonight pop." He says before shutting the door behind him.

All day had went by, Taylor was laying down on the couch napping beings she hadn't gotten much sleep last night. Henry took Wesley into the other room to watch him for her.

She woke up to a kiss on her lips, her eyes popped open and to her pleasant surprise it was Joe.

"You're okay!" She sits up and she throws herself into his arms.

"Ha, always." He says comforting her.

"Thanks for checking in…!" She says sarcastically and pulls away.

"I know, I'm sorry babe."

"You could've gave me something, anything. Just so I knew you were okay." She explains.

"I couldn't, I'm sorry."

"Someone else missed you." Henry came in with Wesley, Joe smiled and took him into his arms.

"Hey buddy, were you good for mommy?" He asks the baby and he smiles at him. He sits down to see him and talk to him some more. Henry leaves them be and Taylor joins Joe on the couch.

"I'm sorry about all this, I know it's not ideal."

"Yeah, kinda threw me through a loop."

"I know, it's just how it is sometimes."

"Yeah well, at least we can go home now!" She said and stood up.

"Actually we can't yet." Joe told her.

"What? Why?"

"Cause…it's still not safe."

"Then why are you here?" She questioned.

"Um because, I was ordered to stand down."

"Oh."

"Yeah and 1PP isn't taking visitors right now so I'll have to talk to him later about it."

"Wait, Frank made the call?"

"Mhm." Joe was irritated.

"Why?"

"Probably cause he's worried about me, even though I was fine."

"He's just doing his job, don't take it personally." Henry comes in, overhearing the conversation.

"Bet he wouldn't have taken an officer with any other name off of it."

"Sure he would've, do you know how many times he's wanted to pull Danny or Jamie off certain assignments but doesn't because he knows it's not fair?" Henry questions.

"It just doesn't make any sense then."

"I hope I didn't have anything to do with it." Taylor worries.

"Nah." Henry brushed off.

"What are you talking about?" Joe questioned her.

"Well this morning I feel like I was giving him a hard time, cause I was worried about you and-"

"You had nothing to do with it." Henry cut her off.

"I'd still like to hear that from him, I gotta get some sleep." Joe handed Wesley to Taylor and headed upstairs. He had a feeling Taylor may have helped sway Frank, but he hoped he was wrong.

A couple hours went by, Joe came down the steps just as Frank was coming in the door.

"Hey." Joe greeted, he smiled and said the same back. "Can I ask you something?" Joe added.

"Pulling you in was not personal. Was I glad it worked out that way? Of course, did it have an impact on my decision? Absolutely not." Frank told him and walked to the kitchen.

"Okay. Can I ask why then? Or is that some sort of top secret thing you gotta take to the grave." Joe asked following him.

"Huh, the apple really doesn't fall from the the tree with you either." Frank sighs and puts his things on the table.

"What can I say?" Joe shrugs and sorta laughs.

"Your unit was pulled in because it ended up not being a firearms issue. It's as simple as that." He shrugged.

"That's it?" Joe didn't believe him.

"Yes. It was much much bigger than that."

"Alright…well is it all resolved?"

"I wouldn't be home if it wasn't." Franks said.

"Okay well good. My guess is a bomb? They find it or just a lousy piece of shit junky who likes to watch cops run around the city like chickens with our heads cut off?" Joe wonders.

"Oh no…they found it." Frank nodded.

"Where?"

"Grand central, underground."

"What? How in the-"

"I have no idea." He surrendered his hands out.

"Wow, that's-"

"Oh I didn't know you were up." Taylor entered the kitchen. Joe turned his attention to her and Frank went about his business.

"I just came down. You doing good? Ready to get home?" He asked.

"Can we!?" She was excited.

"Ha, yeah. It's all good now." Joe told her.

"Thank god!" She said and hugged Joe out of pure excitement.

"Geez, I didn't think we were that bad." Henry entered saying.

"No no no! Of course not I just am wanting to-"

"Taylor he's kidding. There's no place like your own home." Frank cuts her off.

"You got that right. Come on buddy, let's go pack!" She says taking Wesley from Henry and heading upstairs. "C'mon babe!" She then added.

"Ha, I'm coming." Joe laughs and smiles at Henry and Frank before leaving the kitchen.
