Chapter 3: A Midnight Arrival

Two weeks later, a few miles outside of Japan's Southeastern Mercolonly.

We currently find a 21 or 22-year-old mermaid, with dark purple hair, sky blue eyes, and a dark purple tail, and wearing a white swimsuit top. Her name is Nerumi Kayama aka the Pro Hero Midnight. With a look on her face, that she would rather be somewhere else, rather than spending time with whoever. She was on her way to meet up with them.

(Flashback to U.A. Administration Office, almost 2 weeks ago.)

We currently find Midnight going to do some paperwork she had to do. Then she heard a noise coming from the window and noticed a seagull there, with a letter under its foot.

"Seagull Mail? I wonder, who's it from?" Asked Kurumi, as she got up from her seat to retrieve the letter from the seagull. Once she had retrieved it, she read the envelope and found out that it was from her mom. After she read that, it was addressed to her. She began reading the letters' contents.

Hey, sweetie. It's mom, writing to you.

Remember how my mom and your grandma? Wanted you to join us together on a small family vacation. And how you wanted to avoid being around your grandmother. Due to the constant persisting, from your grandmother about her wanting you to take over her position as head of the colony.

Well, a day ago. We received a letter from the current Queen of the Pacific Ocean. And that she most likely wants you to meet with her, about something important. And no, you're not getting out of this one. Since the letter is from the current Mer Queen. It means that you need to meet with her about something.

See you soon, Mom.

P.S. I'll handle my mother-in-law, aka your grandma, during the visit.

"Why, me?" Said Nerumi, as she slammed her head on the desk, with the letter in hand.

"You know, that there are better ways of handling whatever you read." Said a voice, as he climbed up on the desk and took the letter from her hand. "Though many do not receive a letter by seagull." As the seagull squawked, letting them know that it was still there. "Nerumi. Are you by any chance a mermaid?" Asked the voice, finally bringing Nerumi to her senses.

"Yes, Nezu. I am a mermaid." Said Nerumi, as she started picking herself up. "And can I let you in on a little secret." Getting a nod from Nezu. "I'm actually a 2nd generation Quirk user. Due to merfolk long life spans." She whispered, in Nezu's ear. Making him gain a look of surprise on his face. Since he was not expecting the answers, he was getting at all.

"How old are you anyway," Asked Nezu, curiously.

"I'm 21 years old." Answered Nerumi, from where she was sitting. "And do you know, it's rude to ask a woman her age." Hoping to catch Nezu off guard, with her faking being offended by his question.

"I knew it was rude. I just wanted to be sure about your age." Said Nezu, expecting the comment.

"I bet you didn't know that mermaids, unlike mermen. Are like certain species of fish and animals. Which allows us to gain the equipment needed to have kids, with other mermaids. Hm?" Said Nerumi, with a smirk on her face. "Since I am the daughter of a mermaid and a human turned mermaid. Who had a Quirk." Upon hearing this, caused Nezu to do a spit take.

This continued on for a bit, with the 2 taking potshots at each other, with the occasional question from Nezu tossed in. Which ultimately ended, with Nezu approving her vacation, by taking 1 last potshot at her. Though she had to have Recovery Girl check her over in her mermaid form. Which she agreed to. Which lead to her spending the Sunday, before she left to meet up with her family. In the U.A. swimming pool bored, while Recovery Girl checked her over, in her mermaid form. In the end, she was thankful, it was only Nezu and Recovery Girl. And that Present Mic wasn't there or she would have never lived it down.

Though before she left, Nezu did ask her. That if any merfolk were going to be staying at U.A. They must have biology books on mermaids and a doctor that could take care of mermaids. Since U.A. wasn't equipped to take care of mermaids.

So, now here she was heading back to the colony to visit with her mothers and grandmothers. And go on her grandmother's persistent vacation. Even though there was work for her to do. She still wished that she was back at U.A. doing her paperwork. Rather than being with her grandma for this vacation. Who constantly and persistently wanted her to take her place.

Meanwhile, in the home of Kayama's family. We currently find one of Nerumi's mothers. Had just finished, preparing her daughter's temporary bedroom for her stay.

While in the main living area, another mermaid was talking to an older mermaid. And by the sound of things, it was falling on deaf ears.

Then the seashell door opened. "Mom, I'm home." Said Nerumi, with an exasperated sigh. Really not looking forward to this trip.

"Hey, sweetie. Glad to have you home." Said a voice, from Nerumi's former bedroom. While the mermaid, who was sitting near an older mermaid, looked at the mermaid. Before she grabbed a letter from the queen and swam over to Nerumi.

"Here Nerumi. This Is from the queen." Said her other mom, as she handed Nerumi the letter. "I thought I would hand it to you now. Before your grandma gets any ideas." As she eyed Nerumi's grandmother, who was whistling innocently. Like it wasn't true. While she handed the letter to Nerumi.

"Mind if I open it now?" Asked Nerumi, as she looked at the letter.

"Go, right on ahead. I'll keep an eye on your grandmother, to make sure she doesn't try anything." Said the mermaid, still eyeing Nerumi's grandmother.

"Aw, come on, Nokia. Am I really that bad?" Said Nerumi's grandmother, while Nerumi opened the letter and began to read it.

"You're the reason, she moved out and became a pro hero in the first place." Said Nokia, blowing a gasket. As Nerumi began making a face, she began to remember something from a few months ago.

"Could you 2 please break it up." Said a mermaid, as she swam into the room. From getting Nerumi's bedroom ready. Who gained a sweet aura around her, that promised pain. If the 2 didn't stop arguing, that very minute.

"Yes, sweety/Barbara." Said the 2 mermaids, as they hugged each other. Terrified of the aura around Barbara, as she was used to this argument.

"And mother, please try to remember that this is a family vacation. So, please try to not pester, your granddaughter about the position." Said Barbara, as she still had the aura out. Getting another nod to not bring up the incident for the umpteenth time. "Sweetie, is there something wrong?" As she saw the look on Nerumi's face.

"Huh? What?" Asked Nerumi, as she came out of her thoughts.

"I asked, is there something wrong?" Said Barbara, gaining a look of concern.

"Sorry. It's just that, 6-7 and a half months ago. Three people at a beach went missing. And the current queen is requesting my presents to talk about them." Said Nerumi, as she looked at her family. "Though, I'm wondering why she's requesting my presents?"

"Perhaps, she…" As something barely missed the cheek of Nerumi's grandmother and went into the wall behind her.

"What was that, mom?" Said Barbara, with a sweet voice. That sounded like it would promise pain if her mom didn't choose the next few words carefully.

"Nothing." Said Nerumi's grandmother, in a scared tone.

"Okay, then." Said Barbara, as the look disappeared. "Oh, and Nerumi. Before I forget, we'll be leaving in a few days, So, we'll be giving you those days to rest. Right, you 2?" As the aura came back in full force. Which got a, yes ma'am. From 2 other mermaids in the room. Since Barbara scared them silly when she was like this. "So, feel free to meet up with your old friends. If you want to, too." As she launched what could be assumed a kunai made to work underwater, at the 2 mermaids. Not even looking in the direction. Where the 2 were giving each other looks. Before she launched another kunai, which impaled itself in the wall between them. Making them start behaving again.

"I forgot; how scary mom can be. When those 2 are like this." Nerumi thought to herself, as watched the 2 cling to each other in fear of her mother. "I'll be heading out. I'll try and be back by dinner." Deciding to go out for a bit.

"Okay, honey. See you in a few hours." Said Barbara, not leaving the spot. Before she pulled out another one of what was currently in the wall. Effectively keeping the 2 quiet.

Now let's briefly see what our transformed mermaids have been up to for the past 2 weeks. Because things certainly have not been quiet for them.

First off, Luche found what she was looking for and found out a few things she didn't even know about it. First was that the bond acts as an emotional nudge for humans and merfolk, who are destined to be together. As in the subtle kind of emotional nudge, when they're around the people or merfolk, they're destined to be with. Though others can join, who are not destined to be together, if the merfolk do not mind dating. Second was that it turned out, that the Bond was way more noticeable for royalty. Besides feeling the need to stay together. The surprise was for anyone who was bonded to a mermaid or merman, that was royalty. Would receive a dress or a suit for them. For those who were transformed into merfolk. They would receive their royal outfit, while they were in their spheres being transformed into merfolk. Though the last 2 things were a big surprise for Inko, Izuna, and Ochako. First was that the bond was for the rest of their life. The second thing was the biggest shock. Was that for royalty, it was akin to becoming engaged to each other and any others, that would join in the future. Right away, with thoughts of marriage in the future. In other words, Izuna and Ochako's were engaged to each other. Along with any others, that joined in the future. Which resulted in the 3 fainting. Along with Inko having to think even more, about how to explain it to Ochako's parents. That their daughter was engaged to her daughter and others in the future.

Now back to the story.

The next few days, before Nerumi and her family, left for a while. It was a nice break for Nerumi. She also took the time to explain to her family about Nezu's request. Which she was also going to have to talk to the current Queen about. They understood Nezu's request, which would benefit UA in the long one.

Once her friends realized that she was back in town. She had some time to catch up with her friends in the colony. About her time in the human world, as a pro hero. Since she had been in the human world for over a decade.

Eventually, the morning came the day of their departure to the castle. We currently find the Kamaya family currently swimming through the castle. Though Nerumi was showing signs of irritation and nervousness.

"Are you irritated about being with your grandma? Or is it that you're meeting with the current queen of the Pacific Ocean?" Asked Barbara, as she swam closer to her daughter.

"*Sighing* Is it really, that obvious?" Asked Nerumi, as she got a nod from her mother. "If I had to be honest. Some of column A, some of column B. Mainly Column B. Since it has to do with my job. Since I am a Pro Hero, in Japan. And they went missing 6 and a half months ago." Then with another sigh. "Though if my gut is correct. The situation is bound to be way more complicated than I expected." Then her mother pulled her into a hug.

"Do not worry about it." Said Barbara, as she hugged her daughter. "Remember, if you ever need help from us just ask. Okay?" Before Nerumi fully embraced her mother in a hug.

"Hehm." Said Nokia, from where she was floating, with her arms crossed. "Sorry to break up the hug. But we still have a few hours to half a day or more of swimming to do." Ruining the moment for them. Causing them to break the mother-daughter hug and glare at Nokia for ruining the moment.

"Just to let you know, Honey. She's concerned, because of what she's going to be talking about with the current queen. Has to deal with her job, as a pro hero." Said Barbara, as she swam over to Nokia. "She's concerned because the queen wants to talk to her about 4 people. Who went missing 6 and a half months ago. And she's concerned that the situation may be more complicated than it already is. And I was trying to ease her nerves." As Barbara explained the situation to Nokia.

"Fine. I'm sorry, okay." Said Nokia, as she raised her hands up in defense. "But I would like us to be there by nightfall, okay? Since we have a few hours to half a day or more of travel to do." As she made a fair point. "And I think we should keep going. Unless you want to spend the night in the open ocean?" Knowing that Nokia had a point, that they still had quite a ways to go, in terms of swimming. So, they decided to keep swimming, taking the occasional break to eat.

Eventually, they made it to the castle, the night of the following day. After a day and a half of swimming. And just as they swam in, they were greeted by one of the maid mermaids, who usually work the night shift. Greeted them, though she ask if they were looking for Queen Inko. Who was currently asleep, along with the princess and her friends were also asleep. Knowing that it was pretty late. They simply agreed to have a light dinner, before going to bed.

The next day around 9:30 AM, the next morning. We currently find Nerumi swimming into the dining hall for breakfast.

Since she was still partially asleep. She failed to notice where she was swimming until she bumped into someone. "Sorry, I didn't see where I was going." Said Nerumi, to the person that she had bumped into. While in a tired voice. Before she felt someone say, "That it was okay." Then she felt someone take her hand and guide her over to a seat.

While Inko saw Ochako guide the mermaid over to a seat. So that she could take a seat at the table. Though she did notice how tired the mermaid was. Before she, and Izuna continued on their way, for what they had planned, that day. After they finished, their class for the day.

"Let me guess. You and your family arrived late last night? After a long swim?" Asked Inko, from where she sat. Getting a nod from a still sleepy and tired Nerumi. "Well, either way. I'm going to let the of you 4 finish resting up before we talk. Okay?" Getting another nod, from Nerumi. Before it finally clicked in Nerumi's head, about what Inko was saying. Causing Nerumi's jaw to drop at what she heard. Before Inko got up and swam over to leave the room. Before she left the room, she placed her hand on Nerumi's shoulder to reassure her. Once Nerumi was well rested, they'll talk. All that she could do was nod and sigh in relief. Then Inko swam out of the room, to start her royal duties for the day. Leaving Nerumi in the room, to only sigh and order the merfolk equivalent of coffee. While hoping the rest of the stay here might get better.

By the next day, Nerumi and her family have recovered enough for them to at least swim around. To make sure Nerumi's grandmother didn't try anything. Nokia made sure to stay close to her mother, at all times.

Now, we currently find Nerumi exploring the castle's garden. Since this was her first time exploring the royal castle of the Pacific Ocean. When she saw the young mermaid, that helped her yesterday, and another quick swim in and hide behind some coral. Followed by another mermaid, into the room and completely missing the 2, before swimming out of the room to look for them somewhere else.

"Okay. She's gone. You can come out now." Said Nerumi, as she called out to them.

"Sorry, that you had to see that." Said Izuna, as she swam out from where the 2 were hiding. "We decided to raid, the cookie jar again." Causing Nerumi to raise an eyebrow at the situation, in front of her.

"It's fine." Said Nerumi, before something clicked in her head, as she remembered the faces of the missing Ochako Uraraka. That she had seen. "You wouldn't happen to be Ochako Uraraka?" As she got a nod, from the 2 mermaids in front of her. Before she turned to the one. That she assumed to be Izuku Midoriya, "And I think it's safe to assume that you're Izuku Midoriya?" As she received a nod, from Izuna. "Then let me guess. Inko Midoriya, is the current Mermaid Queen?" Which got another nod, from the 2. "Well, this just makes my job so much more difficult." As she dragged her hand down her face.

"Would you by any chance? Be the Pro Hero, my mom is expecting?" Asked Izuna, floating in front of Nerumi.

"Yes." Said Nerumi, as she floated in front of the 2. "Though, I was expecting a merman, not a mermaid. Which makes it safe to say that you're a victim of the merfolk transformation gender change. That is going to raise a lot of problems. When I get back." Which got a nervous chuckle from Izuna, at the situation. That she was currently in. "Not to mention, explaining to Ochako's parents about the current situation. Can this get any worse?"

"We kind of overheard Izuna's mom, Luche and Amelia. Talking about a bond of some kind. Whatever that means?" Added Ochako, which was the straw that broke the camel's metaphorical back.

"Excuse me, will quick." Said Nerumi, as she quickly swam out of the room. While the 2 remained in the gardens, with a confused look on their faces.

Once outside the room. Nerumi could only sigh and bring her hand to her face. "Can this situation get any worse or more complicated?" Said Nerumi, as thoughts were running through her head.

"You know if you want to keep thoughts to yourself. You should try not to make a face like that and try to not say it out loud. Okay?" Said Amelia, as she noticed Nerumi and the face she was making. Along with overhearing what she said. When she came to get the 2 for lunch. "Oh, and yes, it can be worse. Though I think Izuna and Ochako may have that type of bond. Which means separating them could have negative consequences on all 2 of them."

"Yep. There it is. The situation could make this way worse." Thought Nerumi, with her eyebrow twitching.

"And we both know that there can be negative side effects. If they were to be separated from each other." Said Amelia, which Nerumi could only nod in understanding. Since she understood enough to know, separating them would only cause more problems. "Well, either way. It was nice meeting you. Now I have to get those 2 off to lunch." Before Amelia swam off, to get Izuna, and Ochako to lunch.

"Great." Said Nerumi, with an exasperated look, as she swam back into the gardens and found a bench to sit on. Followed by her beginning to think about the situation, which she would need to explain to Nezu upon her return to U.A.

In fact, one of her mothers found her an hour later. Still sitting in the same position. Still thinking on her side of the story for Nezu. Which would cause untold chaos, if not explained correctly.

"Penny for your thoughts, honey?" Said Barbara, as sat down next to her daughter. While moving her tail in a way that looked akin to crossing her legs and placing her hands on her tail. And waited patiently for her daughter to explain.

"I'm wondering how to explain this to my boss at U.A." Said Nerumi, as she began to explain her problem. "It was bad enough when the 3 were only missing. Now I find out that Inko is the Queen of the entire Pacific Ocean. And her son turned daughter is also the princess of the Pacific Ocean as well. Not to mention Izuku, and Ochako may have that bond between them. And that means separating them could have consequences on the 2 of them." Barbara nodded her head in understanding. Where her daughter was coming from, about the current situation.

"Well, I think that you should talk to Inko." Said Barbara, from where she was sitting. "And you 2 can put your heads together. Inko most likely has a few ideas that could benefit the situation." Voicing her own thoughts on the matter. Before she launched another kunai at her mother, as a warning to not interrupt the moment. Which she kindly left them alone. Not wanting to get another kunai chucked her way,

"I think you're right. Maybe if Inko and I put our heads together. We'll be able to do something." As Nerumi, gained a confident look on her face. "Maybe she'll have an offer to fix the problem." Nerumi added to the situation.

"I sure hope this works out." Barbara thought, to herself. Hoping that this can play out in a positive light.

The next day, we find Nerumi waiting outside the throne room. Waiting for Inko to call her in.

Eventually, Inko called her into the throne room. Where she found Inko sitting on a throne, waiting for her.

"I take it, that you are Nerumi Kamaya. Right?" Asked Inko, from where she was sitting on the throne.

"Yes, your majesty. I am Nerumi Kamaya A.K.A. the Pro Hero Midnight." Said Nerumi, before Inko gestured for her to follow her.

"Well, Nerumi. I've been expecting you. Since you could help us with our current situation." Said Inko, as she guided Nerumi to a balcony that was in the throne room. That had some benches set up.

"I'm fully aware of the situation. Though I didn't expect the situation to be even more complicated than it already was." Said Nerumi, as Inko sat down on 1 of the benches and gave Nerumi a nod. Before gesturing for Nerumi to take a seat across from her. "Then I'm going to have to explain to Ochako about the situation. Along with trying to explain your situation. Followed by explaining that there's going to be a high chance of you not returning to land. Due to your royal duties, as the current Merfolk Queen of the Pacific Ocean." Nerumi added as she took a seat on the bench across from Inko.

"True. That is going to be the hard part in this situation." Said Inko, as she thought about the situation. "The even harder part is if Izuna and Ochako have bonded to each other." As she got a nod from Nerumi. "Though I was going to offer Ochako parents. The chance to become merfolk. So that they can visit them, whenever they want to or they can join their daughter down here. Since I'm kind of concerned for their safety in a way." As Inko turned her head to look into the ocean.

"What could cause that kind of concern?" Asked Nerumi, now wondering what Inko was talking about.

"You see my now former son, is Quirkless. So, there was a high chance that he was bullied. While I felt like I failed as a mother." Said Inko, while Nerumi gained a look of surprise. "Then 2-3 weeks ago. We learned that Ochako's family is barely making enough money." As Nerumi continued listening to what Inko was explaining. "So, I'm hoping that they'll accept the offer. So that the girls can stay together. Since, from what I've seen so far. They seem to be having a positive effect on each other." As Inko turned back to face Nerumi. Causing Nerumi to start thinking again.

"That is a good offer. But they will need to think about it first." Said Nerumi, as she brought her hand to her chin. "And we'll have to explain everything to them about the situation. Along with the benefits and consequences of the offer." As Inko nodded her in understanding.

"It also doesn't help. That they have the bond." Inko added, as Nerumi knew, that this could end on a really bad way. Since separating them could affect them in a negative emotional way.

"Which is why you want to keep them together. Along with avoiding them being put back into a negative environment, as well." Said Nerumi, from where sat across from Inko. "Is that correct?" Raising an eyebrow. Before Inko gave her a nod as if saying that she was correct. "It also doesn't help that Nezu wanted me to ask you. Is it possible to send a merfolk doctor to U.A.? Since if any merfolk got into U.A. He wants to have someone available in the case. A random merfolk needs medical attention or something else. That Recovery Girl can't help them with. Though it might help U.A. in the long run. Since Recovery Girl is getting up there in age and her age may start affecting her." Nerumi added to the conversation.

"I'll send word out and see about arranging with someone. About joining U.A. as a possible replacement or aid to Recovery Girl." Said Inko, as she thought over a few things. "Do you know any beaches? We can meet at. To keep the fact that mermaids exist a secret." As she gestured, to their mermaid tails. Which got a nod from Nerumi. As she clearly understood the situation.

"Well, there is Takoba Municipal Beach. Since it was made into a trash dump." Said Nerumi, as Inko made a face, as she heard the state of the beach. "Or we can go with Nabu Island. Since there is a merfolk colony nearby. That is on good terms with those living on the island." Nerumi added, as an option. To Inko, the second option sounded like the better of the 2.

"Nabu Island. Sounds like the best option, in this situation." Said Inko, after thinking about the 2 choices, about which one would cause the least number of problems for them. "Since they're used to merfolk, on the island." Which Nerumi agreed with Inko on.

With a sigh. "I'll notify Nezu upon my return and start making the arrangements." Said Nerumi, as she began thinking about how to do this. "Is there anyone else? That you would like me to notify me about?" She asked, wondering if Inko wanted to meet with anyone else.

"Hmm." Said Inko, as she thought about it. "Not that I can think of. Though if you could at least contact Mitsuki Bakugo and let her know. That we're okay. Since she is an old friend of mine." Nerumi nodded her head, understanding where this was going. "Though knowing, how hard-headed she is. She'll most likely press you for information. Though if you want, you can invite her and her family along to Nabu Island. Feel free too." Which Nerumi understood the warning of what Mitsuki may do.

"So, to sum up everything." Said Nerumi, trying to sum up everything that she'll have to explain. When she got back to U.A. "I'm going to tell Nezu. When I get back to U.A. Is that you're going to look into sending a Merfolk doctor his way." Inko nodded, her head. "Then I'm going to need to get in contact with the Uraraka and Hado's and let them know. That their daughters have been found. Finally contacting Mitsuki Bakugo, about you and Izuku. I mean, Izuna. Along with explaining the meeting spot is at Nabu Island." As Nerumi took a breath. "Did I get everything correct?"

"Yes, you did." Said Inko, as Nerumi sighed with relief.

"Thanks. Though it's going to be a headache explaining how Izuku became a girl. And explaining how separating Izuna, and Ochako. May have some negative side effects. Is another mess in of itself" Said Nerumi, as she tried to process everything.

"Though if it makes you feel better. If Izuna and Ochako get into U.A." Said Inko, from where she was sitting. "I was going to appoint you to watch the 2. While they're at U.A. Along with being their mermaid teacher, while they're there too." That was the straw that broke the camel's back. Causing Nerumi to right then and there, faint from the information overload. "Now I have to wait until she wakes up before I continue. Might as well help her be comfortable until she wakes up." Got up and helped the now unconscious to the throne. Before she laid her down on the throne and took a seat waiting for Nerumi to wake up.

Eventually, Amelia came into the throne room to check up on them. When she had noticed, Inko and Nerumi's meeting was taking a bit longer than expected. Where she found out from Inko. That she might have accidentally caused Nerumi to faint from an information overload. So, she decided to leave them alone in peace, until they had finished the meeting. Along with dropping off some medicine for Nerumi. If she woke up with a headache.

"What happened?" Asked Nerumi, as she sat up, holding her head. Due to the headache.

"You fainted, from most likely an information overload." Said Inko, from where she sat on the throne. "And before you ask. I laid you on the throne. So, that when you woke up. You wouldn't have to wake up in more pain than when you fainted from a headache."

"Okay?" Said Nerumi, as she pieced everything together. Before she had fainted, from the information overload. "We were talking about Izuna, and Ochako attending U.A. Before I fainted, right?" Which she got a nod from Inko. "Okay, then. Please continue. If it comes to it. We'll continue tomorrow." Which Inko could only nod in understanding of Nerumi's situation.

"I was planning on sending Amelia with them. When they started U.A. So that you wouldn't have to watch them alone." Said Inko, as Nerumi could only sigh in relief. That she would be having help. "Though I'm going to try and visit. When I can." Inko added, while Nerumi made a note to tell Nezu about possible future visits, in the future.

The meeting continued on for another hour. Eventually, the meeting ended with them working out what they could with the 2 of them under short notice. Though they agreed to continue the meeting with Nezu on Nabu Island.

For the remainder, the Kayama family vacation was orderly and chaotic. When Nerumi's grandmother caused chaos for Inko. When she had asked Inko if she had her coronation ceremony for her and Izuna.

Since she hadn't heard of the coronation ceremony. She went to Amelia for help. Who told her that the staff managed the castle. Had agreed to hold off on her and Izuna's coronation. Until everything had calmed down for Inko, Izuna, and Ochako. Which would be when Inko gave them the go-ahead. They'll start preparing for it. Which made Inko sigh with relief on it. That it hadn't happened yet.

As for Nerumi's grandmother. Well, let's just say that she found herself on a really short leash. Barbara dragged her all over the place with her. To keep her from stirring up trouble for everyone. Much to the headache and amusement of the family as a whole.

Eventually, the day came for them to depart.

"Thank you. For having us here." Said Barbara, as she bowed to Inko. "And sorry for my mother's behavior. During our stay. We'll try to make sure it doesn't happen again." While Nokia and Nerumi could only agree with her

"It's no problem at all. Though it still enlightened me, about some things. Even though it was still uncalled for." Said Inko, which Nokia and Barbara agreed on. "And I'll be seeing you again sooner or later once everything is squared away on your end?" As Inko turned to Nerumi.

"I'll contact you, once everything is ready." Said Nerumi, though the headache that was going to come was going to be a problem. "Though getting everything ready is going to be a pain. Though it might be worth it in the end. Getting 2 families reunited with their daughters. Will be worth it, in the end." Which Inko nodded in agreement. "Though I hope that they'll accept your offer to become merfolk. If the 2 of them do have the bond. Then they'll need to stay together." Nerumi added to their conversation.

"That you and I can only hope for." Said Inko, as Nerumi could only nod in agreement.

Eventually, they parted ways. With Nerumi and Inko only hoping that things would work out in the end.
