Percy Jackson

Percy didn't know what happened, but Annabeth's behavior had changed completely since she had whipped him. She had gone back to bringing him amazing food, she let him sleep more, and she even started acting more civil with him.

Along with her new behavior was the fact that she was spending more time with him, a lot more time with him. She didn't just deliver his meals anymore, but now she sat and ate with him too.

"I hope you like medium rare." She said as she took a bite out of her sandwich while Percy drooled over the steak she brought in.

"I like it." Percy said, "Did you cook this yourself?"

Annabeth nodded. That shouldn't have surprised Percy, but it did. He never realized Annabeth could cook, it just never occurred to him that she knew how. He never really saw her cook anything before.

"Well, you're a good cook." He said sincerely.

Annabeth smiled but it wasn't the malicious smile that she wore before, this smile seemed joyful, as if she was actually happy. To Percy, it was a nice change of pace.

Yet not everything was all good for him. One question lurked in the back of his mind. Why? Why was she all of a sudden being so nice to him when the day before, she was hitting him with a whip and cursing at him? Her behavior had done a whole 180 and he just couldn't figure out why.

So naturally, he asked her.

"Why are you doing all this?" He asked.

"What? Why am I feeding you? Do you want me to stop?" She asked with wide eyes.

"No, no!" Percy answered quickly, "I just mean, why are you so nice to me now? Yesterday, you acted like you hated my guts, now you're acting like we're friends."

Annabeth sighed, she was holding something out on him, he just didn't know what. She knew something he didn't. He really wanted to know why, he wanted to make sure that this was for real and not just some cruel torture tactic that she'd developed. He could see her lulling him into a false sense of comfort before ripping the rug out from under him.

"Do you really want to know?" She asked.

"Yes, that's why I'm asking." He said.

Annabeth closed her eyes before confessing, "Kronos heard me beating you. He told me to stop and if I didn't, he'd have someone else take care of you."

Percy's heart broke at that. Annabeth wasn't being nice to him because she cared, she was being nice to him because she was being forced to.

Annabeth looked at him with anxious eyes, "Percy?"

"So, this is all fake?" He asked numbly.

"What are you talking about?" She asked, "What's fake?"

"All this. You being nice to me, you don't really care do you?" He said sadly, he didn't even have the energy to be mad anymore, "You just didn't want people to know that you messed up."

Annabeth stared at him with horror, "I do care! Why else would I stop Kronos from assigning someone else to care for you?"

"Because you don't want to live with the fact that you failed and someone else had to take over for you." He answered.

"Percy-what- are you serious?!" She asked, "I mean, yes, I messed up a couple of times but that doesn't mean I don't care about you at all."

"You don't have to lie." He said, "I'd prefer you didn't."

"I'm not lying to you." Annabeth's voice sounded like she was pleading with him to believe her.

The sad part was, Percy wasn't sure if he could believe in her anymore. It seemed like the only reason she was ever nice to him since he got captured was because Kronos ordered her to be nice. He wondered if she was ever nice to him because she actually liked him. Were all those times before just so she could get ahead, so she could get something out of him?

He wasn't a idiot either, he knew why Kronos was ordering her to be nice to him. Kronos wanted him to join, and there was no way he was going to do that, no matter what Annabeth did.

Percy shook his head and got up from next to Annabeth and walked over to his bed. He laid down and rolled onto his side, away from Annabeth. He could hear her shifting as she got up. He heard her footsteps get closer until she was right behind him.

He could feel her breath on his ear as she leaned in so she could talk to him, "You've got me all wrong, Percy, I do care about you. Believe it or not, I'm not some monster who's going to just throw away everything we had for the past four years."

Percy rolled over to look at her, "And what did we have? How do I know if all this time you've just been using me so you can get what you want?"

Annabeth stared at him, he could see her eyes flickering with emotion. First it was hurt, then rage.

"What kind of person do you think I am, Percy?!" She asked loudly, "I was your best friend, there's plenty of times where I could've just let you go and do everything for me but I didn't. I stuck with you until I got kidnapped."

Percy shook his head, he didn't want to think back to those times, it hurt too much now that he knew what he knew.

"Percy." She said.

"Just…leave me alone for a bit, okay?" He asked, "Please."

Annabeth looked heartbroken, he wasn't sure if it was because she failed to deceive him or if it was because she actually wanted to be with him and now he was asking her to leave him alone. He just couldn't be around her for the moment.

"I'm not going anywhere." Annabeth said, "We need to talk this out. I can understand if you don't trust me now, but I can't have you thinking that our friendship was fake."

"What does it matter to you what I think?" Percy asked her, he really wanted to know why she cared so much.

"It matters a lot!" She countered, "Just because we aren't on the same side doesn't mean I can't like you. The only reason I beat you at first was because I was angry seeing you again because for so long, I thought it was your fault that I got taken."

"It was my fault." Percy said, "If I hadn't tried to kill Kronos then, we would've made it out alive."

Annabeth put a hand on his cheek, "Percy, you did exactly what I would've done. All these times I've been angry at you were because I couldn't control myself."

Percy still wasn't ready to let Annabeth in, his walls would remain up until she proved that she legitimately liked him as a person and didn't just see him as another opportunity.

"Look at me, Percy." She said.

He knew he shouldn't look at her, but he did. As soon as he did, he got lost in her gray eyes. It was like staring into an illusion, you know, the kind on the internet that made you hyperfocus on one point while everything else was ignored.

Then his gaze went down to her lips, something inside him wanted to just smash his lips onto hers. He wasn't sure why, technically she was still the enemy yet a animalistic primal urge inside him wanted to take Annabeth.

Annabeth stared back at him, he wondered if she felt the same way. She hadn't said anything, but he knew she was thinking too. He just didn't know what she was thinking about.

"Kiss me." She whispered.

Percy's rational side screamed at him not to. Kissing her would be the kiss of death. Yet the hungry side of him roared for him to take her right then and there. Eventually, his body won over his mind because next thing he knew, he was leaning up and kissing Annabeth.

Annabeth kissed him back, which sent the butterflies in his stomach into a hurricane. Shocks went down his spine, it felt like Zeus had struck him with his master bolt. The feeling of kissing Annabeth was terrifying yet exhilarating. He never felt so alive.

His hand came to rest on her shoulder, resting on the metal plate that protected her shoulders. Annabeth's fingers ran through his hair. He watched as the more she got into the kiss, the less stressed she seemed to look. Her eyes closed and she let out a quiet moan.

She's seducing you! Percy's brain screamed, Stop kissing her. Now!

But she tastes like blue cotton candy.

She's going to kill you!

Is this such a bad way to go?

Percy ignored his mind fighting himself and instead deepened the kiss with Annabeth even further. He slowly inserted his tongue into her mouth, finding hers and engaging in a slow dance. Their breaths combined to form one. Percy had never French-kissed anyone but that didn't seem to matter at all in this moment.

Every second that went by made the kiss feel hotter and more intense. Percy's body was going insane and he wanted nothing more than to bend Annabeth over and take her.

Annabeth broke the kiss, she took a step back and gasped for air. Her eyes were wide, her cheeks as red as strawberries, and her lips were swollen. Percy felt a sense of pride since he knew he was the one who put that look on her face.

"I…fuck." She muttered, "I'm so sorry, Percy."

"Wait, what?" He asked, his heart dropping as he realized that maybe she didn't want to kiss him, he hoped he hadn't forced her to.

Annabeth shook her head and quickly picked up the tray of food she brought with her and left his cell, shutting the door behind her.

As he was enveloped in darkness, Percy couldn't help but release a string of curses in response to Annabeth's departure. As angry as he was, he couldn't help but think about that kiss, something about it was so oddly intimate and he wanted more.

Percy laid his head down on his pillow, hoping that his dream would involve him, and Annabeth locked in yet another steamy kiss.

Annabeth Chase

Annabeth quickly made her way to her chambers, she ignored all the calls of concern of her fellow guards. She had basically run from Percy's cell the second she left. Her lips were warm while her face felt hot, whether it was from embarrassment or lust, she didn't know.

If she was asked four years ago if she could envision herself kissing a son of Poseidon like she did earlier, she would've thought someone was hitting the nectar a little too hard.

Yet there was no mistake, she had not only kissed Percy but she had also liked it. That kiss had ignited something in her, something she didn't know was even within her. If she had let it take over, she probably would've locked the door and spent all day kissing Percy. She may have even taken it further. The only fear she had about taking it further was the fact that she was still a virgin, sex was something new to her.

Annabeth broke through the doors of her private chambers and slammed them shut behind her. The doors slammed loud enough they could be mistaken for a gunshot. She didn't care.

She brought her hand to her lips, which were still swollen and red from earlier. Each touch sent waves of warmth through her face.

"What did I just do?" She asked herself as she walked to the mirror.

Sure enough, her lips looked just like those of someone who had just walked out of a make out session. How was she supposed to explain this to anyone?

A knock at the door caused her to jump. She looked over at the gilded doors and yelled, "Yeah?"

"Annabeth, lord Kronos wants to see you." A female voice announced.

"Fuck." Annabeth whispered. She cleared her throat, "I'll be there in a few minutes."

She turned back to the mirror and tried her best to hide the evidence of what she had done with Percy but no matter what she did, the evidence was still there. She couldn't put lipstick on, that would arouse suspicion since she typically didn't wear lipstick.

"Godsdamnit, Percy." She cursed.

After eventually giving up on hiding the evidence, she made her way out of her chambers and to the throne room. She wasn't worried about getting hurt, no, she was worried about the teasing that would come once Kronos found out that she had been locking lips with Percy Jackson.

When Annabeth walked into the throne room, she found that it wasn't just Kronos in the room. A girl who Annabeth had seen a few times was standing next to the Titan Lord.

"Ah, Annabeth." Kronos said, "Glad you could make it—what happened to your lips?"

Annabeth blushed harder than she had ever blushed in her entire life. She stared down at the ground as the Titan Lord stared at her. She could almost feel him figuring out what happened, which was almost as bad as the round of laughter that came from the Titan as he eventually realized what had taken place.

"Kissing the son of Poseidon?" Kronos asked her, "Not quite what I had in mind when I told you to use your body but I suppose it could work for now."

Annabeth just took the teasing, she may have been embarrassed but at the same time, how many girls out there could say they had made out with Percy Jackson?

"You called me." She said, trying to get the conversation over with, "Was there something you needed?"

Kronos took a moment to compose himself before pointing to the girl next to him, "This is Emily. I believe you've seen each other around. She's one of my top interrogators."

Annabeth knew where this was going, and she didn't like it.

"I was thinking that maybe conversion isn't your strong suit. Emily has yet to fail to convert any prisoners, perhaps she could take over the task of converting young Perseus." Kronos said.

Annabeth eyed Emily with competitive eyes, who did this slut think she was? Percy was hers and hers alone!

Unfortunately for Annabeth, Emily was actually extremely attractive. Her pale skin had zero blemishes, no birthmarks, or freckles. Her irises were pink, a signature staple of an Aphrodite child. She looked to be two years Annabeth's senior, meaning she was not only taller, but also more matured in all the right places.

Annabeth had a rocking body, she wasn't insecure about that, but Emily was super model type hot and she just couldn't compete with someone who's domain was love. Annabeth knew battle strategy and architecture but she could not for the life of her figure out how love worked. She wasn't sure if Percy's loyalty to her could withstand a seductress like Emily.

"No." Annabeth said.

Kronos raised an eyebrow, "No? What do you mean by 'no'?"

"I mean I'm not letting her go anywhere near Percy." Annabeth said confidently.

"But she has a higher success rate." Kronos said, "The problem would be solved."

"Yeah, just let me take over for a bit. I'd love to meet Percy, I only want to talk." Emily said.

"Shut your mouth." Annabeth growled at her.

"Annabeth, play nice." Kronos warned.

"Absolutely not!" She shot back, "Percy is my prisoner, I was the one who brought him in!"

"Yet you cannot handle him!" Kronos said louder this time.

"I just need some time to get through to him!" Annabeth argued.

Kronos looked away from her, a troubled look on his face, "You're asking the lord of time for more time. Very well, I can grant you a week. If I do not have Percy's allegiance within a week, I give Emily permission to bed him."

Emily looked a little disappointed that she wouldn't be having Percy, at least, that's what Annabeth thought since she was pouting.

"You two are dismissed." Kronos said.

As soon as Annabeth was out of the throne room, Emily grabbed her arm. She had never seen a daughter of Aphrodite look so mad before, yet Emily looked ready to kill someone.

"Listen here, skank. I know the only reason you don't want me getting anywhere near Percy is because you want to fuck him before I do." She said, "You can tell Kronos whatever you want but I promise you, I will have him."

"I'd wish you good luck but actually, go fuck yourself." Annabeth spat as she yanked her arm free.

As Annabeth walked away, a certain fire lit in her stomach, Percy was her prisoner, no one else's.
