Author's note: Here is another chapter of this amazing story, and thank you all for your awesome reviews!
Oh, and a little message to Amanda27A.g, about Darien/Tuxedo Mask, well, the thing is, since my own version of Sailor Moon Sailor Stars(as explained in Sailor Moon Continuum Part 1), well, you'll see in this chapter. But don't worry, I will tell you that he isn't dead.
In meantime, let's continue, and do remember that I don't own anything here, except my ocs which have cameo(Very Small cameos) appearences.
Chapter nine: Bad Discovery.
Serena found herself near the entrance of the city, looking at the night sky where the stars shone, deep in thought. Everyone else were fast asleep, and stupid Jonathan, having been drunk and was now asleep himself, and Serena didn't know about Evy and Rick. The blonde-haired girl took out her PHS she rechieved from her mother before ending to America, and held it up in the air, turning around in different directions, until in the end, she lowered it and puts it away, grumbling.
"Rats." She muttered to herself. "No signal." sighing in exasperation, Serena fingered the Cresent Moon Wand and the Silver Crystal that rested in her pockets. She thought about what Ardeth said earlier and it gave her the shivers. She wished she knew how he knew about her being a Princess of the Moon. Out of all of the history through out thousands of years, her previous life was the most unheard of and the most secret ever.
She then thought about her true love, and recalled the last time she had seen him, a day before she met(and reuighted) with her sister Kaylie.
Flash-Back: During the events of Sailor Moon-Sailor Stars: After Rini's Departure.
Serena raced fast and hard through the airport to see Darien off before it was too late. As much as she didn't want him to leave for University in New York, as she would turn sixteen in hopes of finally getting married, she had to come to accept that their marriage would have to wait until he returned with scores of flying colours.
She ran until she finally found the familiar raven-haired young man, two years older than her, in his green jacket, and suitcase. Serena cried out his name, and the young man, Darien, turned to see her approach him.
"Serena?" Darien asked, before seeing that, as Serena looked up, and despite her smile, she was crying, and it made his heart ache.
Despite her heart aching, Serena knew, she had cope. "I...I'm really happy for you, and I wish you the best for university." she spoke, her voice choking and her tears continuously falling, despite the smile she put up.
The next thing she knew, Darien gently took her hand, and to Serena's surprise, he placed a beautiful pink and golden ring with diamonds around the pink ruby, on her wedding-finger on her left-hand, and her heart leaped as she realised what this means.
It was an engagement ring! Without words, Darien had silently agreed that, when he would return, they would get married. Serena was finally engaged.
"I'll be back." Darien promised.
More tears falling, Serena nodded, and as lovers as they were, both of them shared a passonite kiss for the last time for months. Serena linked her arms around Darien's right arm as they walked to where Darien needs to be to catch his plane, unaware that they just walked passed a young woman, same age as Serena, in fact, very identical to her, except that her hair was black.
Serena was now outside, watching the plane with her fiance on it fly away towards America.
More Flash-Backs:
More memories flashed into Serena's mind-A day after Darien's departure, she meets Kaylie who was a new student to her new High-School, the attack of Dark Galactic led by Sailor Galaxia who was corrupted and taken over by Chaos who sought out Kaylie's dark star-seed, learning that not only Kaylie was a new Soldier-Sailor Dark Moon, but was also Serena's long lost twin sister from the Moon Kingdom who died due to the darkness in her heart.
With Dark Moon, Sailor Moon freed Galaxia from Chaos who returned to the minds of humanity along with the Light of Hope, Kaylie's departure to the Orre Region.
Months after that, Serena, Amy, Raye, Lita and Mina arriving in Cona City via invitation to see the Pokemon match of Ash Ketchum who was victourious and had become the youngest Pokemon Master in history, meeting Ash and his Pikachu, and his friends-Misty, Brock, May and her little brother Max, along with three new trainers, Simon, Jake and Savanna, teenaged trainers from the Unova region, learning that the invitation was a trap lead by a group who wish to revive an evil King to take over Earth.
The reunion with Rini who had returned a few months after her return to the 30th Century, with a Pikachu of her own, having met a Cardcaptor named Sakura and her best friend Madision and the Guardian Beast Keroberous, the truth that Serena, Sakura and Ash are the next three generation chosen trio to defeat the evil King as their ancestors had done before-Queen Serenity, Clow Reed and Sir Richard the descentend of Sir Aaron.
The knowlage of the Reversed Light which, once the evil King is defeated, allows the three chosen to have any wish they want come true. Sailor Moon, Sakura and Ash fought and defeated the evil King and destroyed him for good this time.
Serena, having grown to love Pokemon, along with Amy, Raye, Lita, Mina, Kaylie and Darien, wishing to be two years younger with their powers reversed back to when they began protecting Earth two years earlier, and are now back to when they first started their journey, with Rini's powers returning to when she started, but her true age staying the same, only the Sailor Scouts, Darien, Kaylie, Rini, Ash, his friends, Sakura, her friends, Simon and his friends only remembering their real memories while everyone else who don't know about the past given new fake memories.
Months after that, Serena and her team and Rini arriving in America to spend time with their relatives, and Serena secretly meeting a Sceptile from a dark future that no longer exists who gives her knowlage and a staff for Sailor Moon to become a new Cardcaptor to rescue Clone Clow Cards which were created and stolen for the Shadow Souls from the Realm of Darkness, meeting a mysterious Grovyle who takes briefly takes the role of Tuxedo Mask who is still in University, and Serena's quest to find the Relic Book that leads to Temporal Tower before the evil leader does.
End of Flash-Backs.
"Where's Luna where you need her?" Serena grumbled to herself as she brings herself out of her memories, before yawning, turning around to head back to camp to catch up on some sleep.
As she was getting closer to her campsite, Serena then heard Evy's voice, sounding surprisingly drunk, as the older woman was saying, "Look, I, I may not be, an explorer, or an adventurer, or a treasure seeker, or a Sailor Scout or a gun-fighter, Mr. O'Connell, but I, am proud, of what I am." causing the teen to look around a piller and saw that Evy was indeed drunk, and was talking to Rick who wasn't drunk at all.
"And what is that?" asked Rick, a bit skeptical. Maybe it was a bad idea to give her the achohol Jonathan had found. Luckily that Serena and her four best friends were underaged.
"I..." Evy paused for a moment, then answered, "Am a libraian..." before she fell to her knees, face close to Rick who was briefly startled, but he remained calm. "...I am going to kiss you, Mr. O'Connell." she muttered, now whispering.
"Call me Rick." Rick replied, nodding.
Evy gave him a goofy smile, and as Serena watched, the teen was getting horrified and anxious at the romantic scene that reminded her of a year ago when her mother was targeted by HawksEye of the Dead Moon Circus. The two adults leaned slowly for a kiss...until Evy just slumps forward and passes out, and Rick just sat there, blinking and shook his head.
Serena sighed in relief. Seeing romance while one person is drunk...not a good sight to see. If anything, that would give her odd-nightmares.
The next morning, everyone in the two groups went back to their digging sites, and Team Rocket and their group were back at the legs of Anubis, while two diggers finally opened the conpartment, carefully taking out a large red chest before gently place it on the ground. Jessie, James and Meowth stood near Beni, while Allen and the Americans got up close to the chest, blowing dust off, and the diggers stood close to the exit, away from it after yesterday's horror.
Daniels made to open it, but Allen brushed his hand away, saying as he read the message in ancient egyptain, "There's a curse upon this chest."
"A curse?" James asked, now once again getting scared.
"Curse my ass." Handerson muttered.
"Yeah, who cares?" Daniels added.
Allen scolded them, before saying, "In these hallowed grounds, which was set forth in ancient times, it's as strong today as it was then."
"Yeah, we've kinda had that experinces before." Meowth shivered, "What does it say?"
The Egyptologist first read the language out loud in ancient egyptain, before translating, "Death shall come on swift winds to whoever opens this chest."
Just as the words escaped his mouth, the room suddenly darkened, alarming everyone, before a mysterious gust of wind blew, which was the end of it for the diggers who immediately ran out of the chamber, screaming in arabic, and Team Rocket and Beni all looked around, scaredly.
"I'm not so sure anymore." Jessie muttered, rubbing her arms as if she was feeling cold, but was actually quite terrified. James and Meowth nodded in agreement as the latter had leaped into the former's arms and the two were hugging each other in fright, and were quivering in fear, while Beni looked around, muttering, "This is not good."
Allen and the Americans got near the chest again, and the former continued to translate, "It is said, there is one, of the undead, who is bound by sacred laws to consumate this curse, if brought back to life."
"We'd better not bring anybody back from the dead then, huh?" Daniels muttered, a little worried himself.
"He will kill all who open this chest," Allen continued, "And assimate their orgins and fluids. And in so doing, he will regenerate and no longer be the undead, but a plauge upon this Earth." and as he finished, he turned a bit pale himself in slow realization.
As the Americans ranted on how they came this all for nothing, Team Rocket and Beni backed away, all shaking in fear. "It's the curse..." muttered Beni, before he muttered louder, "It's the curse...!" before he ran out of the room, screaming, "Beware of the curse! Beware!"
"Forget this! I don't wanna be around when the chest is opened!" Jessie shrieked, immediately running out of the room herself.
"Jessie! Don't leave me behind!" James screamed as he quickly followed.
"Hey! Wait for me!" Meowth yelled as he followed his two human best friends, and Wobbuffect, who came out of it's pokeball again, quickly stumbled before falling foward(anime style) before getting back up and quickly ran away, panicking until all five scared ones were out, and far away from the room, leaving Allen and the Americans alone with the chest.
"Stupid superstitous morons." Daniels muttered as he watched Team Rocket and Beni run away, while Burns and Handerson carefully pulled the lid off, and a cloud of dust came out, causing all four men to quickly stand up and cough the dust away like it was like the salt steam acid all over again, though this time, it was just dust.
After the coughing fit, all men knelt again, and Allen unwrapped the cloth away, and as he did, to his stunned surprise, it was black, stone like book with ancient egyptain on it. He carefully takes it, muttering in awe, "Oh my god. It does exist; The Book of the Dead."
"A book?" Daniels asked, sounding disappointed. "Who cares about a book? Where the hell's the treasure?" as they all stood up.
"This, gentlement, is treasure." Allen muttered.
Handerson, annoyed with disappointment, muttered about something not wanting to trade it as he gave the chest a gentle kick on the side, and another small conpartment opened in front of the chest, which they noticed five jars with golden shaped animals on as lids, one of the jars which had a bear's head on it broken. The jewel canobic jars caught the american's attentions and they chuckled in delight.
"THERE'S your treasure, gentlement." Allen said.
"Ooh! I've dreamt about this since I was a little girl." Evy said in delight as Rick and Jonathan lifted another coffin from within the coffin out and carried it to the wall, making it stand up right, while Serena and the others gathered around, and they and Rick gave Evy skeptical looks at her comment.
"You dream about dead people?" Serena asked, dumbfounded.
"Serena!" Amy scolded to her friend.
Evy ignored the comments and commented as she looked at the coffin, "These sacred spells have been curved off. This man must've been condemed not only in this life, but the next."
"Tough break." Rick muttered, as Jonathan pulled out his key and began unlocking the coffin.
"I'm not sure this is such a good idea." Raye thought, the evil aura she was sensing twice as worse now as she felt yesterday, which was a bad thing. Being a pristress of the cherry-hill temple, evil was her specialty.
"Yeah, well, I'm all tears." Jonathan said sarcastically. "Now lets see who's inside, shall we?" as he and Rick then grunted as they both pulled hard at the coffin door, the women watching anxiously. The next thing that happened, with a burst of dust, the most ugly and horrifying and slimly mummy jumps out, causing everyone to scream in terror and fright, before they stopped as the mummy just stood there, his jaw bent sideways, but that wasn't all about this guy.
"Ohh! I hate it when these things do that!" Evy muttered in annoyance.
Lita, seeing that this mummy was different, asked in disbelief, "Is he supposed to look like that?"
"No, I've never seen a mummy like this before." Amy answered, also in disbelief. In fact, everyone was.
Serena shivered in disgust, muttering, "Ew, this is seriously not a normal mummy. He looks like a cross-mummy-cross-zombie."
"You got that right." Raye agreed.
Mina nodded, "Yeah, he's still...still..." trailing off.
"Juicy." Rick and Jonathan muttered in unision, both in disbelief as well.
"Yes." Evy agreed, saying, "He must be more than 3,000 years old, and, well, he looks he's still...decomposing."
"Hey guys?" Serena asked, as she then noticed something else unusual and had bend down to look at strange scratches from the other side of the lid. The others, hearing her, gathered around her as she asked, "These are not what I think they are, are they?" nervously.
Raye looked at the scratches, and with her fingers, trailled the marks, and it confirmed Serena's superstitions. "Fingernails..." she said.
Evy, seeing this, and her eyes wide, announced, "This man was buried alive." before turning back and noticed something else. "And he left a message."
"What does it say?" Lita asked.
The older woman translated as she read, "Death...Is only the beginning." All eight of them turned back to the dead man again, all wondering what he had done to deserve such horrible fate.
However, both Serena and Raye had a fair idea on what happened; This man...was evil.
A/N: Oh, bugger... They found Imhotep. All hell will break loose in the next chapter. In the meantime, please continue your great reviews, guys, and I'll see you again next time.
