Author's note: Hi, guys, welcome back to the story. We're coming pretty close to the ending, maybe another two or three more chapters to go, or longer. Either way, things are heating up and not looking good.

Let's enjoy the Boil and Sores(...Okay, that just sounded wrong, but anyway, lol), and continue the story. I don't own anything.

Chapter fourteen: Patience is NOT a virtue.

Meeting up with Daniels who was shocked that Henderson was dead as well, Sailor Moon and the others took roof-less limo that would fit all of them, a limo that was cheap and can be used without being famous and rich, and the group drove back to the Museum to meet up with Terrance and Ardeth, and told both of the Medjai on what happened. They agreed it was time to team up and all made their way inside to figure out how to kill the Mummy once and for all.

Evy told them about how she done research of the Book of the Dead, and the connections on of it and the Book of Amun Ra.

"Looks like there are Books that have powers too, huh?" Tuxedo Mask thought.

"Yes, well, according to legend, the black book the Americans found at Hamunaptra is supposed to bring people back from the dead." Evy explained as she and everyone else walked up the stairs. "Untill now, it was a notion I was unwilling to believe."

Sailor Moon cringed, "Better believe, you're the one who read that book which brought the zombie-guy back to life."

"It's a Mummy, not a Zombie!" Sailor Mars corrected in exasperation.

"Yes, well, I'm thinking," Evy continued, "That if the black book can bring dead people back to life,"

Realization dawn to the others, and Sailor Venus exclaimed in excitment, "That means the gold book can make him dead again, right!?"

"The gold book can kill him?" Sailor Moon asked, then sighed in relief, "That's the best thing I've heard all week." not noticing the disturbed looks Tuxedo Mask and the other Sailor Scouts, Rick, Jonathan, even Ardeth were giving her, as if she's gone completely crazy.

"That's the Myth." Evy nodded in agreement.

"Which means, we just need to find out where it is." Sailor Mercury concluded.

Just as they reached the top of the stairs, however, the group suddenly stopped as a chanting of voices were heard, and it was coming closer and closer from below, and the voices were chanting one name; Imhotep. Glancing at each other, the group went over to the window, and down below, they could see people of Cairo, holding boils, sores, and torches, and weapons as the people marched towards the Museum. Sailor Moon gulped at this, feeling a shiver down her spine.

"Last, but not least, my favorite plague; boils and sores." Jonathan sighed grimly, in a hint of sarcasm.

"They're being possessed by the Mummy." Sailor Mars stated. "I can feel the evil pressence that belongs to him in all of those people."

"Are you saying that they're his bodyguards or something?" Sailor Jupiter asked.

"They have become his slaves." Ardeth muttered, "So it has began; the beginning of the end."

"Not if we have anything to say about it." Sailor Venus said with determination, grabbing Evy's wrist and pulled her to the stone tablet.

Outside, Team Rocket managed to climb out and over the bars, and were resting having just climbed down, exhausted at the climb. Sitting on the ground and leaning against the bars, Jessie muttered, "I would kill to have a bath right now."

Just as they sighed, they too heard the chanting, and looked down to the side of the street to the exit to the outside part of Cairo, and Team Rocket gapped in surprise at the people of Cairo. Jessie, James and Meowth stared in amazement and confusion.

"Look at that!" Meowth exclaimed.

"I wonder where those people are going?" James asked. Then he and his best friends realised what the people were chanting, and flinched in fright, and clinged onto each other, praying that the people don't see them. "On second thought, maybe that Mummy hypnotized them." He muttered, now scared.

"Yeah, it'd be a good idea to stay out of it." Meowth agreed.

"Let's just find a place to hide until those people go away." Jessie suggested.

The trio leaped up and carefully tip-toed away, humming innocently, and hoping they wouldn't get caught.

At the same time, Imhotep led the slaves, shouting something in ancient Egyptain, most likely commanding them to break into the Museum and bring him Evy. Beni was in the crowd, feeling out of place and freaked out that he was surrounded by hypnotized slaves who then began to shout and try to break down the door. Thankfully, it was locked, but it wouldn't be for long.

While Sailor Moon and the others waited anixiously, Evy and Terrance were both researching on the tablet as fast as they could. "According to Bembridge scolars, the gold book of Amun-Ra is located in the statue of Anubis."

"That's where we found the black book." Daniels pointed out.

"That means they mixed the books up." Sailor Venus realized.

"So if the black book was inside the staue of Anubis, then the gold book must be inside..." Evy fell silent as she searched, just as the books were slammed open, and angry shouts filled the inside of the building. Sailor Moon and the others looked down to see hundreds of hypnotized people down below, most of them sweating nervously at the sight. They were running out of time.

"Evy, come on, faster!" Sailor Jupiter urged.

"Patience is a virtue." Evelyn replied in a sing-song tone as she looked as fast as she could while concentrating.

Sailor Moon, Tuxedo Mask, Rick and Ardeth looked back at the older woman, and Sailor Moon and Rick both said in unison, "Not right now it isn't!" both of them shaking their heads, with huge sweatdrops.

"Uh, I think I'll go get the car started!" Jonathan mumbled nervously, before running down the hall.

"I've got it! The golden book of Amun-Ra is inside the statue of Horus!" Evy said, before turning and she gave a big grin of victory, saying to practically not anyone else in the room, pleased that she made the correct discover than those who didn't want to take her in for the job, "Take that, bembridge scolars!" only to rechieve disturbed sweatdrops from everyone else as they stared at her, now thinking that she was crazy instead of Sailor Moon.

"That's great, now let's get the hell outta here!" Daniels screamed, as he led everyone out of the museum and into the yellow long car Jonathan managed to turn on. Everyone jumped in as quickly as possible, all trying to fit in each seat, as they knew, they had to get away as quickly as they could.

"Next time we're on a trip, I vote for at least Paris." Sailor Moon muttered.

Tuxedo Mask nodded in agreement, saying, "I've always wanted to go to Paris."

"Imhotep! IMHOTEP!" came Beni's scream, as he looked up to warn his 'master' that Sailor Moon and her group were escaping. How the hell Imhotep got up there quickly, most likely his new abilities. He gave a shrieking roar with his mummified mouth, which alerted the hypnotized slaves who came yelling back outside to chase after them, as Jonathan pulled into gear and drove off as fast as the car would allow them.

"You're gonna get yours, Beni!" Rick screamed in fury at the stupid-Egyptain-version-of-Ragetti-man, continuing, "You hear me!? You're gonna get yours!"

"Oh, like I never heard that before!" Beni retorted back as he watched the slaves go after Rick and the others in the car.

It wasn't too long before Jonathan had to pull the car into a halt, as in front of them, blocking the street, were more slaves, and Sailor Moon and her group froze, wondering on what to do. They didn't have any ideas...or, rather, Rick was the only one with an idea, and it's not a very good one.

No really, it's not.

Because he stomped his foot onto Jonathan's foot-causing the englishman to scream out in pain-and the car was going again. The slaves tried to get to them, but were rammed over and being knocked away, though the slaves did manage to cling onto the car, forcing the others to now do their best to get the unwanted passengers off. Rick, Tuxedo Mask and Ardeth punched and knocked away some of the slaves, Sailor Jupiter punches two in one hit, knocking them out of the car, Sailor Venus kicked one in the eye, causing him to fall out, Sailor Mars used her evil-spirit chants to drive away five while freeing them from Imhotep's curse, Sailor Mercury and Evy poked two in the eyes, before Sailor Moon slapped the two unwanted men out, causing them to fall out, and Terrance shoved one out.

Rick then punched another from the back and caused the latter to fall and cause other slaves to trip and fall down, falling behind. However, Daniels was grabbed by two, and despite Rick trying to save him, Daniels was accidently shoved out of the way and to the group's dismay, left behind to die, and despite Sailor Moon wanted to jump out and save him, she forced herself to accept that it was too late. Daniels is a dead man.

Team Rocket, who had snuck onto the roof of a building for safety, heard the yells and screams, and risked in taking a peak from the edge of the roof, and watched as down below, the Mummy cornered Daniels. Jessie, James and Meowth froze in horror, as they realised that the Mummy looked more human, and if he had Daniels cornered, it meant that the regeneration was about to be completed. They gazed in horror as Daniels then showed Imhotep his canopic jar, only to scream as he was then...

Well, let's just say that his skin and organs were being sucked right into Imhotep who was absorbing it. Team Rocket looked away in horror, and as Jessie whimped while covering her face in horror, almost ready to cry, James carefully held his arms around her to comfort her. Meowth shivered as he shook in great horror, holding his hand/paws to his mouth in fear.

"This is worse than the visial effects in horror movies!" Meowth whimpered.

"We need to get help from the Sailor Twerps!" James concluded in desperation.

"I never wanna see something like this again for the rest of my life." Jessie mumbled, calming down a little to lift her face away from her hands.

Meowth then noticed something up ahead, and cried out, "Hey, the Mummy and his army are headin' that way! I can't explain why, but maybe the Sailor Twerps are there too!"

"Huh?" James and Jessie asked. Then they and their talking Pokemon decided to cross from roof to roof, before finding another path, and decided to go there. What path that may be, let's wait and see.

Jonathan ended up crashing the car into a fountain which sprung water all over the place, and everyone quickly got out to try and escape, but were cornered and trapped against a large wall. Rick grabbed hold of a torch and tried to scare off the slaves who continued to chant Imhotep's name, meaning that the torch didn't do anything at all.

They expected the slaves to attack them again, but instead, Sailor Moon and the others saw that the slaves parted to make a clearing path, as the mummy, now fully human form again just like 3,000 years ago, walked up to them with a sinister smile, and Beni walking behind him. Sailor Moon's eyes widened as she now recongised him; He was in her vision she had when she tried to figure out what he had done before he was revived. Now it made perfect sense.

"It's the creature." Terrance said. "He's fully regenerated."

"Keetah mi pharos." said Imhotep in ancient Egyptain. "Aja nilo, isirian."

"Come with me, my Princess." Beni tried to translate. "It's time to make you mine, forever."

Evy glared at him, correcting, "'For all eternity', idiot!" growling.

"Koontash dai na." Imhotep continued, extending his hand towards Evy.

"Take my hand, and I shall spare your friends." Beni translated again, much made Rick and the Sailor Scouts supicious.

Sailor Moon and her four guardians immediately stood in front of Evy, along with Tuxedo Mask, and the Moon Princess asked to the evil Mummy, "How do we know that this isn't a trick so you can take her away and then order your bodyguards to kill us, huh?" even though she didn't think that he would understand her. Even if she tried in Japanese, it wouldn't help.

"Well, do either of you have any bright ideas?" Evy asked to the Sailor Scouts and Rick.

"I'm thinkin', I'm thinkin'." Rick told her, gripping his torch.

Sailor Moon was having trouble in coming up with an idea as well. She thought about surrendering the Silver Crystal to him to spare their lives, but immediately dismissed it, knowing that it would spell doom to everyone on Earth. She couldn't risk in using the Clone-Clow Cards because then she would break her promise to Sceptile. She wished there was something she could do without giving up the crystal and Evy and find a way to escape and kill Imhotep once and for all.

"You better think of something fast," Evy told them, "Because if he turns me into a mummy, you'll be the first ones I'm coming after." shocking the rest of the group, as she made her difficult decision, and walks over to Imhotep.

"Wait, it's a trap!" Sailor Moon cried out desperately, but is held back by Sailor Jupiter who knew that they had no choice. The others knew as well, but Rick was like Sailor Moon, and he cried out, "No!" and made to pull out a gun.

"Don't!" Evy told him, as Ardeth pulled Rick back, while she continued, "He still has to take us to Hamunaptra to preform the ritual."

"She's right." Ardeth agreed, even though he hated the idea as well, he knew that they had no choice. "Live today, fight tomorrow."

Even though Sailor Moon and Rick wanted nothing more than to keep Evy safe, and defeat Imhotep, both angrily realised that the others were right, and had no choice but to chase Imhotep when they get the chance to rescue Evy and save the world. Sailor Moon and Rick glared at Imhotep who smiled evilly in return.

"You're gonna turn into Moon Dust, pal." Sailor Moon whispered to the enemy.

Imhotep gave her a smirk, and whispered in return, "You will be next after the ritual, Ruler of the Moon." before turning, with Evy, despite that Rick called out Evylen's name, as he didn't admit to anyone, but he has fallen in love with her, and wanted to save her.

"Hey, that's mine!" Jonathan grunted as Beni found the box-key and snatched it out of the former's pockets.

"Thank you." Beni smirked at Jonathan who glared in return.

To Evy's horror, Imhotep broke his word, which in reality, Sailor Moon's theory was corrrect, and the evil Mummy shouted in ancient Egyptain, "Kill them all!"

"NO!" Evy screamed, trying to break free, but the grip on her was too strong, and she continued to struggling, crying, "Let go of me! Let go of me!" as she was now dragged away, while the slaves advanced on the group who all realised that they Evy's screaming, they were all gonna get killed.

"Good bye, my friends." Beni said to the doomed group, before he ran off to catch up with Imhotep and the struggling Evy.

Sailor Moon and her group end up backing away closer to the wall, unaware that the shaft on the ground peaked open and all of the sudden, a thick dark haze blew out from it and right at the slaves who then backed away in alarm, and ended up coughing up the haze, as did the others who were also caught in the sudden haze, trying to cover their mouths and noses to avoid in inhaling the haze.

Just then, something grabbed Sailor Moon by the ankle and pulled her down into the shaft, causing her to scream in alarm, alarming the others who cried out her name, before seeing the shaft, and Rick got an idea. He opened it fully, and told them, "Come on, let's go!"

"What about my sister!?" Jonathan cried out worriedly.

"We'll get her back!" Tuxedo Mask told him, shoving the english man down below, followed by Ardeth, the other four Sailor Scouts, Terrance, and eventually, Rick and himself, before the familiar trio who pulled Sailor Moon down, quickly got hold of the shaft's lid and pulled it back on, just before the slaves could see them, and even typed it shut so they would be safe.

Sailor Moon was on her bottom, groaning, before glaring up at the trio who sighed in relief, and muttered in annoyance, "Hey, thanks for the warning, clumsy clowns." in a hint of sarcasm.

As Rick and the others looked, to their surprise and confusion, it was Team Rocket who sighed in relief, and the trio said in unison, "That was a close one." with Jessie's Serviper also sighing in relief, before it was recalled back into it's Pokeball for a rest, clearly the one who used it's Haze Attack to distract the slaves.

"Hey, we did something good for once." Meowth smiled, as he, Jessie and James stood up, and announced to Sailor Moon and the others in unison, "Team Rocket's helping out again." only for the group to slump in confusion.

Ardeth and Terrance glanced at each other in confusion, since they didn't know Team Rocket as much as the Sailor Scouts. Come to think of it, nobody knows the trio that much, even if Ash and his friends had spend almost a year either avoiding them or trying to stop them from stealing Pikachu and the other Pokemon in the world.

"Why are you three helping out?" Sailor Venus asked, skeptical.

"Yeah, you're the bad guys." Sailor Moon added.

Team Rocket flinched, before chuckling in embarrassment, since this was an umpteenth time that they showed their good side of their existances.

"Uh, well..." Jessie began.

"You see, Sailor Twerp..." Meowth continued.

"It's really, really simple." James finished.

Meowth then explained, briefly breaking the forth wall again, "You're the protagonist we're following now, Sailor Moon, and if anythin' happened to ya, we'd be out of show business."

Sailor Moon sweatdropped, quirking an eye-brow, not certain on what to say about that. While she was admittedly grateful that Team Rocket came unexpectedly to save their lives from the slaves, since she had heard from Ash that sometimes Team Rocket, if they listened to their conscences(I seem to keep getting this word wrong too.), would come to help them in a crisis that would mean the end of the world or if their own Pokemon-Meowth especially-were in trouble, these three were still weird beyond belief.

In the end, all she could muster was, "Uh, thanks, I think?"

"Who are those three, anyway?" Tuxedo Mask asked in confusion.

"Still have no idea." Sailor Jupiter shrugged in equal confusion.

"We have to get to Hamunaptra to rescue Evy and stop the Mummy before it's too late." Sailor Mercury spoke up, bringing everyone back to reality, which they caught on.

"But how can we get there?" Jonathan asked, still worried for his sister. "It took us days to get there the first time."

"If we suddenly grew wings, it wouldn't be much of a problem." Sailor Moon grumbled while crossing her arms. Of course, she had the clone-version of the Fly-Card, but it would only get her to Hamunaptra on her clone-version of the sealing staff Sakura had before she transformed it into a Star-Staff. Plus, Sailor Moon couldn't show them the fly-card either, and her's can only give her staff wings, not herself.

Sailor Mars sweatdropped and grumbled in annoyance, "Get real, Sailor Moon."

"We could always use the Hot-Air Balloon." Jessie suggested.

"Nah, that's being repaired back in America, remember? We bought tickets from there to here and back." Meowth reminded, as he and James both shook their heads.

"And we had to use the last of our salary on the repairs too." James added, "Plus, buying parts to make machines is very expensive."

"I'm surprised you guys even managed to get cash to make your stupid machines." Sailor Moon told them in a hint of exasperation. She then added, "Considering how you three are always completely broke and waste time one doing bad stuff."

"Winston." Rick suddenly spoke up. At everyone's confused stares, he told them, "I know the man for the job. It'll be awkward to have most of us in his plane, but we'll figure something out when we get there."

"You think he'll help us?" Ardeth questioned.

Rick gave a sheepish grin and admitted, "The old koot wanted to die since the war three years ago, so he's crazy to die in a battle."

Everyone stared at him, again with disturbed sweatdrops. On the other hand, they agreed and moved on, while along the way, Terrance muttered, "I'll head back to the museum for the time being. I may know how to use a sword, but I'm rather too old to join in the fight."

"Good call." Jonathan agreed.

While the rest of the group didn't know what Team Rocket would do, other than just run away to safety as usual, the question that was annoying Sailor Moon finally insisted her to go up and ask Ardeth what she wanted to know. She immediately rushed over to walk side by side with him, a little nervous on how to ask without risking in getting her head sliced off. Especially since he warned her to leave and she ended up refusing instead.

This was not going to be easy.

Clearing her throat awkwardly, Sailor Moon began, "Um...I...I just wanted to ask you something." in a whisper so that the others couldn't hear.

"What is it that you want to ask?" Ardeth inquired, mentally surprised that the Princess of the Moon was next to him.

"It's pretty awkward, but," Sailor Moon sighed and asked, "How is it that you know about me and the Silver Crystal in the first place? There's no record or anything about those that happened 1,000 years ago, and my team and I are the only ones who know by our memories."

Ardeth paused in thought, then with a soft sigh, explained, "When evil strike on this world and the Moon, our ancestors who survived and were even told by the knowlage of the Silver Crystal and the royal family long before the war, had agreed that it was best to keep it a secret for over thousands of years, only for the Medjai to be told generation by generation, no one on the outside to ever know."

"That means your ancestors weren't controlled by Queen Beryl, the Negaverse or even Chaos." Sailor Moon realised. "Wow, I guess your ancestors somehow managed to avoid in being brainwashed without running away from battle."

"We agreed that, should no one know the truth of both Imhotep or the Crystal, the world would remain protected." Ardeth stated.

Sailor Moon sighed, admitting, "It's easy to keep the knowlage of those away from humanity, but for those who lurk and come out of the darkness Chaos created after a war before the Moon Kingdom was destroyed, it's a constant fight that I wanted to stop so everything would be peaceful."

"What has become of this Chaos?"

"My sister and I destroyed it months back, and it returned to the minds of people, along with the Light of Hope." Sailor Moon answered, briefly mention her former twin sister Kaylie-Aka: Sailor Dark Moon, who like her, as had the effects of the Reversed Light via the meeting of Ash and his friends.

"I see." Ardeth thought, then questioned, "Let me ask you something. How is it that your people of the Moon managed to survive and continue to thrive here on Earth as normal people to everyone else?"

It was Sailor Moon's turn to pause, before she answered, "In truth, we didn't survive and thrive. Queen Serenity used the Silver Crystal to seal away the Negaverse, and have us to be reborn here on Earth with no memories of our previous lives, until two years ago when the Negaverse attacked, I was chosen as Sailor Moon before we found the seven Rainbow Crystals to bring back the Silver Crystal, and I got my memories back." briefly glancing at Tuxedo Mask and the four Sailor Scouts.

"You were reborn?" Ardeth asked, stunned.

"To have a future." Sailor Moon nodded, "That's what my mother wanted before she died. She saved us all and gave up her life for it."

Ardeth stared at her for a few moments, before nodding in understanding, and muttered, "Then you are our future for peace one day. For now, we must kill the monster and save the girl."

Sailor Moon nodded in agreement, as she and everyone else continued on to find a way out of the sewers and head back to Hamunaptra.

A/N: I've decided to change the story a little bit, and have Terrance live instead. In the meantime, while the next chapter is in progress, please continue your great reviews, fellow readers, and I'll see you next time.
