Tears blurring her vision, Kagome blindly ran through the forest. Her fists clenched tightly as her feet pounded against the ground.

"Inuyasha... that jerk." Kagome thought sadly, lifting a hand to touch the small jar of jewel shards around her neck. She quickly shook her head. "No... screw him. He certainly doesn't need MY help anymore." Kagome bitterly laughed, slowing down to a stop in front of the well. Her hands rested over the edge of the well and she stared down, tears dripping down her cheeks. Kagome silently debated in her head whether she should go or not. Thinking back to the 'little conversation' she had with the idiotic hanyo, she knew her choice. Kagome hopped into the well before being surrounded in a rich light. However, the 17 year old female didn't notice the change in the colour. Instead of the familiar blue light shining, the colour was a beautiful buttercup yellow. The floating was short-lived as her knees hit the dirty ground beneath her.

She shuffled gently before rising to her feet. Looking aroun her, she realised she wasn't in the well, let alone the shrinehouse. As tall trees towered over her, Kagome was given the idea that she was still in the feudal era. Tears still flooding her face, she sprinted passed the tall trees, trying to get away. She panted heavily, her eyes no longer able to shed tears for what Inuyasha had said.

"Stupid wench. We never needed you! Kikyo is so much better than you! Why don't you GO DIE so she can have her full soul again!"

Kagome shook her head.

"No... you're wrong Inuyasha. It's my soul. Not hers. I am Kagome Higurashi and that soul is mine." She thought, biting her lip. "I'm not Kikyo, I never could be. She's way more perfect than I could ever be." Tears leaked from her eyes once again. Suddenly she tripped. With a gasp, Kagome tumbled to the floor. She cried out in agony as she landed on her right arm which was injured from a previous battle in the feudal era. A soft, high-pitched barking entered her ears. Kagome cracked her eyes open only to see a flash of pure white. She sobbed, the pain in her arm so agonising and Inuyasha's words ringing in her head. A blurry figure made its way towards her. It's voice identified it as a male. Kagome winced, trying to get up and get away from these strangers.

"H-help..." She cried weakly, feeling her body become extremely heavy and tired. Kagome tried to keep her eyes open but failed as they shut, the girl becoming limp as she went to sleep.

Kagome's head turned to the side as she curled up under a soft blanket. She sighed blissfully when the events of yesterday came crashing down on her. Her eyes snapped open when a whimpering came from her left. Kagome turned her head to the left to see a small white Fox terrier on the bed next to her, whining. It let out a happy bark and licked her cheek. Kagome sat up, staring at the dog.

"Uh...?" She looked at the dog, who panted happily, paws resting on her thigh. Her head snapped up when the door opened to reveal a handsome young male. He had ginger/strawberry blond hair and a quiff. His eyes were blue and he wore a blue sweater with a white polo shirt on underneath and brown pants. He sent Kagome a small smile.

"Good morning. Are you all right, miss?" He asked. The language entered her ears and Kagome knew exactly how to resond.

"A-ah, I am fine, sir." She responded with a slight accent. Kagome looked at the dog and scratched him behind his ears.

"That's Snowy. He's my dog." The young man informed the Asian female. He sat beside her on the bed before holding out his hand. "I'm Tintin." Huh, really? Now, where did Kagome hear that name before?

"I'm Kagome. Kagome Higurashi." Kagome took his hand and shook it, smiling softly.

"Oh, you're Japanese?" Tintin raised his eyebrow, earning a nod.

"Mmh. I am." She hummed softly. "Where am I?"

"You're in Marlinspike Hall." Tintin replied. That's when it all came crashing down on Kagome like a waterfall.

"Oh no. I-I've gone into the future b-but it's still in the past! That doesn't even sound like it makes sense because I'm panicking!" Kagome's eyes were wide. "I've gone ahead to a time after the feudal era yet before my time. I've read this boy's articles! Wow, THE infamous Tintin!" Kagome quickly shook her head to rid her mind of these thoughts.

"I-I see. Thank you for this information, Mr Tintin." She nodded at the male. "I don't know how I didn't recognise you sooner. I'm a fan of your articles!" Kagome sent Tintin a bright smile. "I have adventures myself, although I would think they're a bit different from yours."

"I should hope so. Less danger?"

"Erm... Yeah. Possibly." Who was she kidding? Kagome's adventures were dangerous, probably more dangerous than Tintins. Kagome nervously laughed. "Although, they're not very... eventful." She lied smoothly, moving a strand of hair behind her ear. "I would most like to go on one of yours, possibly?"

"Maybe, but I would think they're very dangerous." Tintin frowned slightly. Kagome sent him a secretive smile.

"Oh, I can take care of myself." She tapped the side of her cheek softly.

Huh. This ain't romancy here but now I'm wondering if I should make it into a fan fiction. Hmmmm. A romancey one.
