FROZEN 2: ICE STORM

Chapter 7: No Fear

By, Rebecca D. Monroe (Shadowsgirl3214)

"Pitch, what are you doing here!?" Jack yelled, before wincing in pain from the fire Kuen shot into his heart.

"What, can't I be present in this battle? I want to see you parish, Jack." Pitch said, grinning his nasty grin. This made Dove scared, really scared, as she backed up. Pitch could taste Dove's fear and smiled. "Hmmm…your daughter's fear is quite strong, Jack."

Jack's eyes widen, but closed tightly as he winced in pain. Pitch was feeding off of Dove's fear! He had put the fear inside Dove's frozen heart, and there was no way to get it out. Unless… "Dove, don't give into Pitch Black's fear! He's just trying to make you weaker than he thinks you are!" Jack yelled, before wincing in more pain.

"Dad…!" Dove yelled, with fear clearly present in her voice.

Trent wasn't afraid, like Dove. He was braver beyond brave, and he would do anything to protect Dove's kingdom. But he was also Dove's best friend, and he had to help her get over this fear Pitch had on her.

"Dovely..." He began, making Dove turn towards him. "...you can fight this fear! I know you can!"

Dove looked back at Pitch and Kuen, and more fear build up inside her. She couldn't fight it! She couldn't be brave like Trent and her father...even though her father was dying from a melting heart.

Trent ran up to Dove and took her hand, making her head fling back to him.

(SONG: "Let it go"—Duet version) [BOLD=TRENT] [ITALICIZED=DOVE] [BOLD+ITALICIZED=BOTH]

TRENT: Let it go/let it go/can't hold it back anymore/let it go/let it go/turn my back and slam the door…

Dove grinned at her best friend. He always knew how to make her smile again.

DOVE: The snow glows white on the mountain tonight/not a footprint to be seen/a kingdom of isolation/and it looks like I'm the queen…

TRENT: the wind is howling like the swirling storm inside/I couldn't keep it in/Heaven knows I've/tried.

DOVE: Don't let them in/don't let them see…

TRENT: be the good guy you've always had to be…

DOVE: conceal, don't feel/don't let them know…

BOTH: …well now they know! Let it go/let it go/can't hold it back anymore/let it go/let it go…

DOVE: Turn away and slam the door…

I don't care (and here I stand) what they're goin' to say (and here I'll stay) let the storm rage on (let it go/let it go)

BOTH: the cold never bothered me anyway.

Dove shot some snow onto the ground, aiming it at Kuen and Pitch, as Trent shot some black ice on top of it, to make it slippery and prettier. That was when Pitch and Kuen slipped on the ice and fell on their behinds. Jack was laughing, and Dove was smiling. She finally did something right with her powers.

TRENT: its funny how some distance/makes everything seem small/and the fears that once controlled me/can't get to me at all…

(Up here in the thick cold air) It's time to see what I can do (I finally can breathe) to test the limits and break through (I know I left a life behind) no right, no wrong, no rules for me (but I'm too relieved to grieve!) I'm free!

Let it go/let it go/I am one with the wind and sky (can't hold it back anymore) let it go/let it go/you'll never see me cry (turn my back and slam the door) and here I stand/and here I'll stay/let the storm rage on (let it go/let it go)

Dove looked brave. She even felt brave. She had never felt like this before, and it was the first time in forever. And she was happy to be feeling it when Trent was by her side.

My power flurries through the air into the ground/my soul is spiraling in frozen fractals all around/and one thought crystallizes like an icy blast/I'm never going back/the past is in the past!

Let it go (let it go) let it go (let it go) and I'll rise like the break of dawn (turn my back and slam the door) let it go/let it go/that perfect girl is gone (and here I stand/and here I'll stay) here I stand/in the light of day (let it go/let it go/let it go) let the storm rage on (let it gooooooooo) the cold never bothered me anyway.

(End of song)

Pitch growled as he shot some black sand at Dove, asking. "Do you believe in the Boogeyman, Queen Dove!?"

Dove looked at him, holding up her right hand, and making all the black sand when it touched her palm, turn to ice and snow, as she replied with: "I do believe in you...but I'm not afraid of you anymore."

"What? No. No. No...NOOOO!" Pitch screamed before turning into dust and flying away in the breeze. Kuen on the other hand, disappeared in a puff of smoke, leaving Arendelle, to their new Snow Queen.
