Heads up, I've changed it a bit; they're going to Miami now, to fit a different plot. And I was planning something different for Jake, but this is something my story has to have, hope you enjoy!

When Clarke was six, her parents bought a house in Miami, so if they wanted to escape the great city of New York they could. Her parents didn't tell her until they bought it, and they drove up there, telling Clarke there was a surprise. They could have flown, but Clarke was weird in the way that she loved road trips, her dad's corny singing, and her mum's light laughter escaping through the open windows. It was when her family had the most fun. Clarke was bouncing off her seat, and five minutes before they got there, they even made her put on a blindfold, but it made it better, because she never guessed she was getting a holiday house- she guessed that she was getting an alpaca that she had begged her parents for. Yeah she was a weird kid.

As Clarke pulled off the blindfold and her parents explained that they had two homes now, the little blonde just smiled, and jumped into her daddy's arms, shouting and laughing. She ran straight upstairs claiming the master bedroom cheekily, before Jake threw her over his shoulder (tickling her so she nearly peed) and then dropped her on her own bed. Her room had been decorated already, and it was perfect for her. Most other girls wouldn't like it, it wasn't pink enough, and it didn't have Disney in it, but Jake knew his daughter. The wallpaper was made out of photos of her and her father, mother, Wells and all the photos from her past, with spaces so every time she wanted to add a photo she could. There was a desk, with a few snow globes from the places she had travelled (limited at the age of six, but still quite impressive) and a kid's art set already set out.

The more she looked at her room the more she loved it and she thought the perfect way to show this was to bounce up and down on her bed with her dad. They were squealing and laughing, her dad not really bouncing, scared to break the small (but quite sturdy bed) and it was one of the best nights of her life. Abby only tried to stop them once, but she ended up blowing raspberries on Clarke's stomach and laughing along with them.

All her best times were spent there. As she grew up, she spent more time there, her photo collection getting bigger, and Abby came less, often busy at the hospital, but Clarke didn't mind she loved spend some quality time with her dad. They'd watch football games and try and fix up the old car in the garage that Jake was convinced her could repair. It was their place.

Even though she brought her friends down –especially once she got her licence; it always felt like it belonged to her and Jake.

The only time Clarke had ever turned down a chance to go there with her dad was because she found out about Finn. It was the last year of high school, and a new boy had just moved into town. Clarke had never really found anyone she bonded with, of course she'd had boyfriends, but none of them could keep up with her quick wit, and it got really boring having to explain herself time after time. Octavia kept trying to set her up, but Clarke decided that if it would happen it would happen.

And it did. Finn was like a breath of fresh air, he understood Clarke's sense of humour, her ideas, her attempts to make the world a better place, even if it was only by recycling, but 'if we don't take care of the world, then who will?' as she always said. Their friendship quickly escalated, and before she really knew what happened between them, they'd lost their virginities together and were going out.

Or so he said. It turned out when he'd moved to Clarke's high school, he'd actually not moved from that far away and still regularly saw his girlfriend Raven, who he actually lost his virginity to. Clarke and Raven found out the same way, a mistake, Raven decided to visit him, when Clarke was there.

The blond was terrified by the brunette's dark expression, convinced that she was going to get punched, but when Raven dragged her out of the room, asked her if she knew, and when she said no, apparently Raven knew she wasn't lying. She walked out of the apartment arm in arm with Clarke not even looking back at doe eyed Finn who was trying to explain.

The thing that annoyed Clarke the most was that she'd initiated him into the group, and now they were in limbo, not knowing what would happen. Would sides be taken? Would they rather have him in the group? Could Raven join the group instead? It turned out the two girls got on really well after they traded horror stories at the closest bar to Finn's, and got wasted together. It might not have been orthodox, but it fit them perfectly.

Octavia, being Raven's best girlfriend was called round, along with Wells, Clarke's oldest friend. They had a crisis meeting, and although they ate the ice cream Octavia had bought, she didn't need the tissues. After her and Raven's escapade to the bar, she felt like the process of embarrassment after this kind of situation had sped up, and now she was just worried about the group.

They decided, Finn would be on probation. If he wished, he could stay in the group, but if he set one foot wrong, or talked to the girls when they didn't want to or just did anything wrong, he would be OUT. Even though the older half of the group had gone off to college, they were still informed, along with Bellamy, who had stayed to look after O and train to be a fireman. The group's rituals and traditions were some pretty serious shit.

Needless to say, the trial over skype, and other forms of social media took a lot of the night, and by the time they had come to an agreement, Bellamy had come to pick up O after his shift, and Wells had already had to leave. For a while Clarke, and the two Blake siblings discussed the fate of Finn, and Clarke was surprised Bellamy didn't brag about how he was right about Finn.

That wasn't the first time Bellamy Blake shocked her, but it was one of the most important ones for her.

Clarke lay down on her bed, trying to clear her thoughts, and although it felt like not even seconds had passed, she woke up five hours later to the sobs of her mother. As Clarke reached her mother she remembered her father desperate to work on his car, totally believing it was close to redemption, totally believing it would be fixed.

She sat down next to her mother grabbing her hand, and as Abby explained, Clarke didn't shed a tear. Her father had gotten into a crash, he'd managed to fix the car, and he was taking it for a drive, when a drunk driver had crashed into him. He was dead instantly. The drunk driver ran, and didn't even check to see if her daddy was alive.

Which he wasn't.

Clarke was still calm, she packed a bag, got a quilt and wrapped it around her mother's shoulders planting a kiss on her head, before she stepped out and got in her car.

Driving there was like brushing her teeth, she didn't even realise she was doing it until she was halfway done. A part of Clarke's brain knew she was in denial, knew she was expecting to drive to the house and find him there working on the car, or watching a game, a nice frosty beer in his hand but she didn't acknowledge anything.

She just kept on driving.

Also, a large part of her knew she should be scared, petrified even to be out driving, with the accident just happening, but Clarke didn't focus on that she focused on the road. She focused on getting home.

Days later nobody had heard from Clarke. She's left her phone, along with a note saying, "I just can't, but I love you. I'm sorry" written to her Mum.

Everyone was looking for her, and most people assumed she'd just run away, no place in mind, but Bellamy was the one who suggested the other house.

"O, where did you and Clarke go for two weeks last summer when you had the whole girl bonding, no boys allowed stuff going on?" he asked her as the group gathered round trying to figure out where she could be.

"Bell- is this really important now? You can mock Clarke for being rich another time, maybe when she isn't actually missing?" O had replied, the tears in her eyes had been constantly replenishing since the accident.

Bellamy was shocked that nobody saw, or thought what he believed was quite obvious.

"O please just where?" Octavia sighed and gave him the address. He debated telling her, but she'd been a wreck, not even coming home just sleeping at Clarke's house, so if Abby found out something she could know too.

He knew he'd be gone for at least a couple of days, considering the long journey, but he didn't want to get his baby sister's hopes up. He kissed her on the head and walked out of the room, and into his car, following the same steps Clarke made before leaving herself.

He got to the house and he opened the door, which was unlocked. A good sign?

He called out to Clarke, but he couldn't hear anything. He walked around trying to think where she might be. He walked to the garage where Clarke and Jake spent a lot of time together, but it was locked. He tried to think where he would go, just like he had when he thought of this place. Suddenly he knew, and it wasn't just a hunch, he was sure she would be there.

He climbed up the stairs, trying to find his way without ever having visited the house before. He passed what was obviously Clarke's room due to the wallpaper consisting of photos of her, and art everywhere. But she wasn't in here.

He took a few more steps down the hall and he saw her. She had put on a jumper of Jake's and she was cocooned in his duvet. He expected her to be sleeping, but she was just crying, tears streaming down her face, looking straight at Bellamy. He didn't even think about it, he sat down next to her, and let her cry on him and when she was done, Bellamy scooped her up while was sleeping and carried her out to his car.

Clarke was remembering everything that had happened at this house, and although many people thought it would be a scar for her, she found comfort in it, she always had. Ultimately that's why she had gone there at the worst moment in her life, and that's why she was there now. Octavia and Raven were napping whilst she was tanning. She knew it wasn't their fault that they couldn't treat her the same, they weren't as bad as everyone else, they still joked with her and poked at her and laughed with her, but every now and then she saw that look.

As she thought back to everything that had happened, how Bellamy seemed to always be there to rescue her when she was most vulnerable and slowly fade into the shadows again when she was better. He bought her back to the house, and was the person she talked to about everything. She talked to him more than Wells or Octavia. But when Clarke started to get a bit better, when she realised that she wasn't going to break into trillions of pieces if she smiled, he started to slowly fade back, only being her crutch when she needed him to be. And he never asked for anything in return.

Clarke thought about how she was the one to fade away this time, and not slowly either. She threw everything back in his face. But she just couldn't understand why he would tell Wells and Miller. He was always so protective, and he was the one who wasn't sure whether or not I should tell people outside of the group. He even said he didn't want her to feel different because of this. He wanted everything to be as normal as it could be.

Everything in her head felt muddled. Her mother said it might be like that for a while; she had a slight concussion, meaning she could go about her normal life, but she might not be as quick understanding things as she was before.

She was so frustrated. She didn't understand. She couldn't figure out what was happening with Bellamy.

She sensed movement, not wanting to open her eyes, but she removed her headphones. "Did you have a good nap?" she asked lazily, not really concentrating, trying to figure out what happened with Bellamy when she heard a deep husky voice reply "Princess, it wasn't a nap it was a nightmare". Her eyes flew open as she gazed into the endless brown eyes belonging to the source of her confusion.

Hey guys, was it just me or was this mega long? Phew, just couldn't get it out of me quick enough! Hope you liked, sorry for the confusion of a slight change in the story, some things might not make sense, but message me if you're confused and I'll clear it up. If you're not confused then forget I said that!

I literally have no clue whether or not you will like this, but soon will be Bellarke? I don't want to rush them getting together though. I would also like some more focus on other characters because I just need to gush about how awesome and adorable some of them are.

Please please please let me know what you think! Thanks for all reviews/favourites/follows. Love you all hope you enjoyed and I'll try and see you soon! J
