Mihawk loved toying with dogs that were all bark and no bite. The words that come out of their mouths were just stupidly hilarious for the swordsman. Not only that but it helped with the feeling of being bored. Being bored was very annoying towards the golden eyed man. What did he have to lose getting rid of his boredom on these puppies?

"D-dracule Mihawk!" He could hear the puppies shiver as they stared at him with wide eyes. He smirked. Quite a reputation he made himself huh?

BOOM BOOM! Two bullets were coming towards him. These mutts sure have a hard time learning from past mistakes. Without a second of hesitation, the greatest swordsman pulled out his dark blade and held it at an angle. The two round pellets ricocheted off the blade and into the blue sky.

Boring.

"He used his blade to block the bullets with only that much time to calculate where to place the blade, no wonder why they call him the best." Mihawk did not look, he could feel the new man's aura from here. Compared to the other two that just shot the bullets, his was far more powerful then theirs.

Interesting.

...

Sanji didn't know what to say, nor did he know exactly what was going on to explain it. The man named "Zoro" as he heard was taking on the legendary Dracule Mihawk. This man was an idiot. Sanji could even SMELL the difference of their power levels. Not only that but his fox side of him wants to run when ever he glanced at the older swordsman. He was one to fear, and not just by foxes.

But here is the young adult, already challenging the man by standing proud in front of the superior. Number one rule in the wild, bow to the superior or be killed.

Of course, this rule implied only on Sanji's wild side and not towards the human part of him. Humans were apparently a different matter. Maybe this was why humans were more advanced then any other animal.

Rule one for a human was quite the opposite - Fight for your dreams. Of course this rule was not obeyed by all humans, but only by the ones who accepted that life was just one big game with a whole lot of cheaters.

Sanji could feel a smile emerging on his face. So this is what separated humans with other animals.

Courage.

...

Zoro could feel it. No, not feel it, he can hear it. His heart was pounding with excitement and it only kept speeding up. He wanted to rush in to battle now, he wanted to strike at his opponent with every ounce of strength he had! Never before has he felt so alive, and the battle hasn't even begun.

"Tell me boy, what is your goal?" Mihawk said, taking a glance at the teen. Zoro tightened his bandana that was already on.

"To be the best swordsman in the world!" Boasted the young adult. Dracule Mihawk felt himself smirking. The last person who said that in his face was merely slaughtered in three seconds flat. He did not pity the young mutts though.

Mihawk then reached for his cross necklace. Zoro felt a twinge of curiosity peek into his mind. What was this man doing? The older swordsman grabbed the end of the cross and slowly tugged on it, making the bottom of the cross disconnect from the top. A very tiny pocket-knife was revealed.

What was this, a joke? Zore felt his curiosity turn into humiliation. What did this man think he was!?

"I'm sorry, but this is the smallest blade I have on currently." This man may have not shown it, but Zoro could feel the man was laughing on the inside.

Zoro bared his teeth. Mihawk winced at two very big and sharp fangs. So he is one of those?

The young swordsman was not going to be taken as a fool! Zoro started rushing towards the man with all three swords. He will make this man use the legendary black sword!

"Onigiri!" He had him now! Finishing the technique, Zoro flung his swords outwards towards the man, only to be blocked.

Zoro's crimson red eyes widen in shock. In the center point of where all three of his swords connected, Mihawk had his tiny little weapon there, blocking all three swords at a time!

"All techniques have a weakness, as goes for humans." Stated the older swordsman cooly. This was not a good start for the green haired man!

Mihawk then lunged his knife forward, breaking the form of the technique and aimed for Zoro's chest. The moss head saw through this and quickly backed off.

"Quite good reflexes, but is it good enough?" Zoro frowned. His hope was slowly diminishing. No, he needed to fight! He will not break his promise! Zoro sprawled forward into a fury of attacks, only to result in Mihawk blocking each one with no sign of hesitation. Its as if the man could read the sowrdsman's mind!

The next careless attack, Mihawk dodged instead of blocking. There, he found an opening and rushed by Zoro's side. He then took the side of his hand and hit the back of Zoro's neck with an amazing amount of strength.

The mouth holding wado flew open in pain and the white sword started to fall out. Zoro closed his mouth just in time to stop wado from falling. He then started to stumble, but luckily regained his footing and turned around.

Dracule Mihawk stood there, watching with a hint of amusement in his eyes.

"Your quite skilled for your age, but as expected you are very careless in your attacks," Mihawk lowered his eyebrows. Zoro clenched his swords tighter.

"No matter what you say, I will beat you, I will keep my promise!" Shouted Zoro. The older swordsman simply smiled. This man was very interesting.

Then, like that, the green haired idiot was off again, he darted at the world's greatest swordsman, hoping to get a blow off the man using speed. Another mistake was made.

Mihawk saw through Zoro's next attack and before Zoro could bring down his sword, the older man lunged forward, piercing Zoro's chest with the small knife. The younger swordsman did not step back from the knife. He only stood there, looking at the ground, gasping for breath.

"Why won't you step back," questioned a now surprised Mihawk.

"I don't know," Zoro began, "I only know that if I step back, I won't be able to face you again, I'll not only be defeated, but my dream will be crushed."

"So you rather die then live on?"

"I would choose death then humiliation." Mihawk felt his heart pace a little faster. This man was not only interesting, he was also not a fool. The older swordsman backed off with with his knife and encased it back into a cross, leaving Zoro's wound to ooze out blood.

"Whats your name boy?"

"Roronoa Zoro."

"You are not one to be underestimated. Being a swordsman and understanding those words of courage, I shall use my dark blade," and like that, Mihawk pulled out his legendary sword and placed it out in front of him. The younger swordsman chuckled.

"I am honored," with those words, Zoro placed the two hilts of his swords together and started to twirl them. Faster and faster, they kept picking up speed till wind blew all around him.

"Santoryuu secret technique..." Mihawk flew towards him.

"Three thousand Realms!" The two swordsmen clashed.

Both done with their techniques, stood perfectly still, not facing each other. Then, Zoro felt a pain weave through his chest.

Blood spurted out of Zoro's new wound and his two swords that were in his hands, broke. The moss head collapsed.

Mihawk turned around to the noise of the fallen swordsman. He was gasping for breath and bleeding from not only his new wound but his mouth too. Mihawk then felt more shock when the younger swordsman stood up and faced him. His arms stretched out, exposing his chest, Zoro felt himself opening his mouth.

"A scar on a swordsman's back is shameful," Mihawk grinned, he knew this kid was going to surpass him one day.

"Well said," Dracule Mihawk then brought down the black blade across Zoro's body, with a deep cut across his torso. Zoro fell, blood flying everywhere. In the distance Zoro could hear his idiot captain scream his name. I'm sorry, Luffy.

"Its not your time to die," Mihawk whispered. Then he shouted,

"Surpass me, RORONOA ZORO!"

Before Zoro's world faded to black, a thought raced through his mind.

I will.

...

Im so sorry for being a lazy butt and not updating! I hope you enjoyed this chapter and what is Zoro? Does it have to relate to Sanji? OH THE SUSPENSE! And yes, I do know Zoro has blue eyes but the red eyes have to do with the fangs, (I practically gave it away now, didn't I?)

Anyways, I'm thinking of taking breaks and doing little fun one shots on kitsune Sanji when the story line gets a little boring. You guys may request things but I might not do all of them. Till next time! Bye!

P.S The reason I haven't updated was because of a newly developed addiction to Soul Eater! Very nice Anime/Manga, I enjoyed it a lot! Cya!
