(AN: Anyone else noticed that Itachi was using his sharingan even when it was just him and Kisame in the latest manga chapter? Paranoid, or...)

It had begun with a glass getting knocked over. Kisame had paused and Itachi had, and that was what really got to him, blushed.
Then a pair of chopsticks that didn't quite reach their target. He watched the younger shinobi clench his jaw in silence.
Slips, stumbles, accidents that ninja at their level just didn't make.
"You should be more careful," Kisame warned his partner. "If you use the mangekyo sharingan too much…"

More slips, more stumbles, more accidents. One evening Itachi sank to his knees, tugging his hair in frustration, staring out into the hired room with furniture he had bumped into thrice already. In the doorway Kisame watched him quietly.
When Itachi began employing his sharingan eyes for every day use Kisame chose not to comment.

The next jinchuriki they came across was Kisame's target, and he could sense the weariness in his partner.
"I want to take him on myself," Kisame said with a toothy grin. Itachi watched him with the blood red eyes and said nothing.
