Raw Sienna
My fingers twitched against the cold metal of the door knob.
"Not my friend." I said slowly, owlishly watching the man.
He jolted then. As if pulled out of a daydream and stared long and hard on me. The fire in his eyes calmed, he looked almost remorseful.
"No," he said, letting go of the pendant. Leaving nothing but a sigh and a ghost of a smile on his stoic face as he bowed slightly. "No, you're right."
"Then why are you here?"
He straightened.
"I need your help."
