He took me to small island miles off the coast of Olivine City called Cianwood City. We landed on top of a tiny mountain a few hundred feet tall with a meadow on top; the mountain was hollowed out for the safari zone and very inhabited by trainers for that reason. "Kid, I think I'm going to leave you here I need to go pick up a few things so sorry. Those events in Goldenrod are really setting back my plans. I'm gonna have to meet up with a friend." He mumbled that last part.
"Hey, aren't you gonna ask my name!" I said loudly as he started to fly off on the back of his dragon.
"No! Cause then I'm gonna have to tell you mine!" he shouted as he flew off. I fell to my knees with my hands on the ground. I wasn't sulking from loneliness; I actually wasn't sulking at all. I was thinking about what to do about this predicament I was in; on one hand I was technically a fugitive, I did kill people, even though they were all still Rockets they needed to be questioned before being dispatched to prison, A.K.A they didn't receive there punishment with justice. On the other hand I could live as a fugitive for a while considering Goldenrod's rep for their habit of attention seeking. I thought they would probably just tell the public it was one of their, "Agents", that infiltrated the Pokémon center and took out the rockets just so they could get medals for their "Hard Work and Dedication to Justice." Honestly they would probably look at the security tapes, see my face and send a warrant for my arrest, claiming I was a Rocket, those lying sacks of shit.
I sent out Jackal to take on an opposing geodude when I noticed something; he was about a foot taller and gained two small steel spikes on his hands. He was becoming a lucario quickly; he eventually spoke up.
You look surprised, he said grinning with his half-riolu-half lucario face. I was still awe stricken by his voice, it was gentlemen like, but a bit childish at the same time.
I can feel stronger by far and I haven't even reached my full transformation yet. I will have monstrous strength when I evolve fully. He said flexing his still fluffy arms. He had already soccer kicked the geodude back into the hole it came from.
"So now I can understand you finally at least. How do you feel about your newfound power already Jack?" I asked, smiling genuinely, while trying to withhold my inner joy from the stoked fighter.
I feel like a warrior of the highest caliber, he said jolting forwards with great speed towards an monstrously large graveler. He let out a blast of red energy towards the ball of rock with intensity far greater than his previous attacks. The aura ball literally tore through the graveler creating a large hole the size of a beach ball inside of the Rock beasts torso. It didn't recover from that.
That training you gave me inside of the hospital worked wonders, you're even better than my old trainer! he said ecstatically. He was still naïve to the situation he was in so I decided to give him some information.
"First off you had better take a seat; this'll be a long story." I sighed, putting my thumb and pointer fingers on the bridge of my nose. I continued.
"Well first and foremost that wasn't training; we were being attacked by Team Rocket, if you don't know 'em they are a criminal organization full of thieving, skinhead, drug addicts who are fixated on controlling the Johto and Kanto regions under the rule of a miscellaneous leader." I started off. "Now that you know the villains, we can continue with the plot, so when we came in it was a bad time to say the least; you see Team Rocket like to show their asses whenever it's a city is getting particularly ballsy they will show up and make sure they know exactly who is took all the homeless, hungry and rebellious kids trying to escape their parents and 'be their own people.' They promised them a check and an easy job then set'em loose on everybody in the country." I growled with frustration while thinking about them. "Anyway… I should stop loosing track of the subject, am I right?" I joked.
Yeah maybe you should, he giggled, Wait why can't anyone interrogate a grunt and then just find out their leader from that. Surely it wouldn't be that hard considering they could just persuade them to talk by giving them narcotics or something? The blue fighting dog wondered out loud.
"Yeah that's a good question you smart little pup." I congratulated him by patting his back. He took the compliment with stride and didn't respond. "See The Rockets are smarter than just some gang, they are a legit criminal syndicate capable of more than just robbery. They are some calculated rats; their leader would never show his face to a grunt of any kind no matter how loyal they are. He orders them from the shadows and never comes out to anyone except for the executives. And trust me, if they tell, then their ass is grass." I said slyly; getting up from my makeshift seat on the dead graveler body, I stretched and proceeded to pace around the patch of flowers we were temporarily inhabiting. Yawning I continued. "So I'm gonna wrap it up now. Basically what I'm trying to say is; because of their greediness and general ass-holery, many kids and Pokémon died in that battle. Though they were weak they didn't deserve their fate."
I ended with a moment of silence for the lives lost. The future was grim and I couldn't wait imagine what would happen next.
