Blended Chapter 15
"What the hell are you doing mom?" Jax asked walking up to his mom who was still banging on the front door demanding to be let in.
"I'm here to see my grandsons!" Gemma was livid. She will be damn if this woman was just going to pop back up in their lives and pull her grandchildren away from her.
"I need you to calm down. You have to promise me you will not give Tara a hard time. She does not need any shit from you." Jax looked at his mom to see where her mind was at and if she would try to hurt Tara. Gemma put her hands on her hips and took a deep breath to calm down.
"Yeah…sure…"
"Mom! I'm serious!"
"Alright Jackson!"
Jax open the door to the house and found Tara standing in the living room holding Thomas with a terrified look on her face.
"Where is Abel?" Jax asked as he took Thomas from her arms and gave him to Gemma. "Mom promised to behave. She knows she needs to act like she has some damn sense if she wants to see her grandkids. Everything will be alright."
Gemma really hated when Jax used her grandkids against her to try to get her to behave. The manipulation was starting to get old.
"He is in his room playing with his toys." Tara answered eyeing Gemma. Gemma kissed Thomas cheek and eyes Tara up and down. She didn't really look the same. She looked tired, she lost weight and her hair was horrible looking with the bad blonde dye job.
"You look a hot damn mess. I guess that's what happens when guilt eats you up for ratting on the club and letting the people you supposedly love think you are dead."
"Mom! What did I just say?"
Gemma rolled her eyes. "Fine." She spat still looking at Tara with an evil eye.
"Gemma I did not testify. I came back to be with my family. It was a stupid mistake leaving." Tara defended.
"You didn't just leave Tara. You had people think you were dead. Do you know what you have put Jax and my grandkids through? Sure you did not testify this time but how can we trust you that you won't in the future?"
"You will have to trust me Gemma."
"Oh yeah….we all supposed to trust a woman who faked a pregnancy and lied that I caused the supposed miscarriage to manipulate your husband to sign my rights as a grandmother away!"
"I'm not going to argue with you Gemma." Tara sighed as she went into the back bedroom to get away from Gemma. She was so close to knocking the shit out of Gemma but she did not want to fight in front of her boys. Tara paced the floor back and forth. Gemma brought the worse out in her. She was one of the reasons she dreaded coming back but she needed her family and she would find a way to put Gemma in her place. After all Jax would do anything for her and he has proved that time and time again. She will have to think of yet another way to get rid of Gemma out of their lives. Jax had always taken her side when it came to his mother and she knows he will do it again.
Weeks passed and Jax was busy with club business as he was trying since Tara's return to get out of guns and deciding to hand over the guns to August Marks made a few people unhappy. He was trying to stay above water and figure out how to make everyone content. Giving guns to Marks was the only play with the Irish who supplied their gun inventory. There was no contact from the FBI and Tara seem to relax a little bit more each day. The club reluctantly accepted Jax decision not to do anything about Tara so they trusted their Presidents decision. Jax found his relationship with Steven was strained. Jax knew it was because of what happen between him and his mother. Jax however was proud of Steven that he did not let his feelings get in the way of club business, as he and Joseph were busy as ever as prospects. On several occasions, Jax tried to talk to Steven privately about what happen and to check on his mom but Steven told him he was not discussing his mother with him as he had made his decision and his mother no longer concern him. Jax tried to tell him it was not true but Steven walked away disgusted. Even though Steven told Jax his mother was none of his concern Jax found himself riding by her house every night hoping to get a glimpse of her. Most nights he was able to see her moving around in the kitchen or in the living room relaxing having her usual glass of wine. Sometimes her bedroom curtains would be open and even though he could not see what she was doing up there he always imagine her beautiful body moving around the room or even thinking of him as she pleasured herself. Jax did not understand why he was torturing himself by going to her house every night. Jax looked at Cortney one more time as she moved around in the kitchen before he drove off. Hearing the sound of Jax's bike Cortney smiled to herself. She always heard when Jax rode by which was every night. She knew it was him because one night without turning on the light in her bedroom she peeked out the window and saw him sitting on his bike across the street staring at her house. Well it was good to know that he couldn't get her out of his mind just as she could not get him out of hers.
Jax had a lot on his mind as he left the garage at two in the morning. He had to figure out how to handle Juice after he found out Juice told his business partner and his mom's boyfriend Nero a betrayal so deep that it would no doubt cause a rift in his relationship with Nero. Juice was one of Jax's most loyal members but he betrayed Jax and he did not need someone like him at his table and in his club. As he contemplated on what to do he found himself parked out in front of Cortney's house again. Jax didn't expect her to be up at 2am in the morning but there Cortney was sitting on the couch with her usual glass of wine. He smiled to himself as he saw her laugh at whatever she was watching on television. He was happy to see her with joy and not sadness. He missed her smile, her lips, the sweet spot on her neck that sent shivers up and down her body whenever his lips and tongue touched there, he missed her breast, her hips…..her everything. Jax was in deep thought thinking of the last time they were together intimately and he didn't realize that she had moved from the couch and her porch light flicked on and Cortney was walking out toward him. He was startled for a second as he realized he had been caught. She stood in front of him as the moon illuminated her beautiful body in her black boy shorts he loved to see her wear and white tank top. She was absolutely stunning. Jax took off his helmet and tried to think of something to say as to why he was in front of her house at 2am. He looked her up and down again and Cortney stepped closer to him and without a word grabbed his face and brought her lips down on his. Jax instantly open his mouth to her and let out a moan as her tongue explored his mouth. My God did he miss this! Cortney wrapped her arms around his neck and deepened their kiss as Jax found his fingers running through her hair, he grabbed a handful and pulled her head back and found that sweet spot on her neck he was just thinking of. He knew he had the right spot as a moan escaped her lips. Working his way back up to her lips Cortney pulled away with a slight grin on her face. She leaned over, planted a soft kiss on his lips, turned around, and headed back in the house. Before Jax could even comprehend what had just happen Cortney was in the house, her porch light turned off and the light in the living room turned off with the curtains drawn closed. Shit! Jax started his bike and headed home.
"Coming!" Cortney yelled to the front door as she raced to it after hearing the doorbell ring. Looking in her peephole she saw a blonde woman standing at her door with Thomas and Abel. Was it Tara? She never really knew how she looked as she never really studied the pictures at Jax's house the handful of times she was over there. Cortney opened the door and smiled at the boys.
"Hi Cortney. I'm Tara." Tara extended her hand and Cortney took it and shook it firmly. Tara looked at the woman who Jax had been with while she was gone. She was no doubt beautiful but Jax dating a black woman. What was he thinking? Tara wondered what the cub thought of it.
"How can I help you?"
"I figured you would want to see the boys and I wanted to talk to you for a second." Tara answered as she looked at Cortney's shirt with a small frown. Cortney looked down at her shirt and realized it was one of Jax's shirts that said Reaper Crew. Shit! She forgot she had it on and now she looked like a lovesick woman who could not get over Jax….which was true.
"Come on in."
Cortney hugged and kissed both boys as they entered the house.
"Have a seat." Cortney said pointing to the couch. "Can I get you some tea?"
"Oh no I'm fine. Thank you. Cortney I want to thank you for taking care of my boys." Tara told her as Cortney sat next to her on the couch and pulled Thomas in her lap.
"It was my pleasure. You have great boys. I know you are very proud." Cortney studied Tara a little closer and she could not figure out why Jax would be attracted to her. She didn't seem his type. Cortney had to bite her tongue because she herself definitely did not look like Jax's type because of her race. Who was she to judge who he fell in love with.
"You are a stronger woman than me." Tara said to Cortney as she eyed Cortney's shirt again. Tara knew it was one of Jax's shirts he must have had over here and Cortney was wearing it because she could not let go of her husband. However Tara decided to take the awkwardness of her having on the shirt in a different direction.
"What do you mean?" Cortney asked cursing herself for wearing the shirt.
"The main reason I left was to get my boys away from the club and the life they were destined to have but you seem to embrace your son prospecting with the Sons."
Cortney's mouth fell open and she quickly shut it.
"What? Steven is not a prospect." She snapped.
There was a hint of an evil smile playing on Tara's lips as she realized Cortney did not know her son was a prospect.
"Yes he is a prospect for the Sons. Jax sponsored him a few months ago."
Cortney felt sick. This could not be true.
"I have seen him on several occasions with his prospect cut on. How could you not know this?"
Was Tara questioning her as a parent?
"I told Steven and Jax I did not want him to prospect."
"Well I guess they both didn't listen to you and have been lying to you. I'm not the least bit surprise. When it comes to the club Jax would do anything no matter who it hurt or the consequences."
"If that is the case then why did you come back? I sense anger in you when it comes to the club. Why didn't you stay away and testify?"
"I love my family and Jax and I will soon be leaving all this behind." Tara answered with a smug look on her face.
Cortney successfully masked the hurt she felt at the thought of Jax and the boys leaving with Tara.
"Plus you should be glad I am not testifying since your son is involved with the club now. I would suggest that you get him out as I know the FBI will still continue with the case without my testimony."
Cortney breathing started to pick up as she was so upset.
"I see that you are upset. I am sure you want to talk to your son. The boys and I will head out. I want to thank you again Cortney." Tara told her honestly as she got up from the couch with the boys.
"You are welcome." Cortney mustered out as she walked Tara to the door. She gave the boys another kiss before Tara left out the door. Shutting the door behind them Cortney changed her shirt, grabbed her car keys and headed to the garage.
Cortney car screeched into the parking lot and she almost ran her car into the concrete building when she was trying to park. She was so livid she was surprised she made it to the garage in one piece. She slammed her car door and went hunting for Jax. Gemma looked out the window of the office wondering who was rolling in the parking lot in such a hurry. When she saw Cortney heading in the bar she knew instantly she had found out about Steven. Cortney searched the bar and found Jax at the bar taking a shot. She walked swiftly up to him and just when he looked up she slapped him across the face almost knocking him off the stool.
"What the hell Cort!" he yelled grabbing his cheek.
"Don't call me that! You let Steven prospect?!" she shouted at him.
The club looked on with a collective oh shit look. The shit has hit the fan.
Jax got off the stool, grabbed Cortney's arm, and pulled her to his old room.
"I told you I didn't want him to prospect Jax! You already took Thomas and Abel from me and now you are trying to take Steven!" she yelled after he shut the door.
"I need you to calm the fuck down."
"Calm down?! Are you crazy? You have my son prospecting and no telling what kind of outlaw shit you have had him do already." Cortney was in near hysterics.
"Steven is fine. He and Joseph are doing no more than grunt work. They are focusing on school." Jax tried to reason.
"Oh my God! Joseph is prospecting too? You have lost your damn mind letting them boys be a part of this club. This is what I was afraid of when he told me he was interning here."
"Cort…"
"I said don't call me that!"
"Steven is a grown man and can make his own decisions."
"No he is not! He is still a teenager." She yelled.
"He is 18 Cort!" he shouted back at her.
Cortney grimaced.
"Stop calling me that! You have lost that privilege!"
Jax walked up and grabbed Cortney's chin.
"I can call you what I want." He growled at her. His eyes turned several shades of blue as he looked at her. Jax and Cortney started to breathe rapidly as they stared at one another. Cortney quickly turned her head to remove her chin out of his grasp. She turned to leave but Jax grabbed her arm, spun her around and pushed her against the door. His lips came crashing down on hers. Cortney found her hands unbuckling his belt. She needed him….she had to have him. In a frantic Jax unbutton Cortney's jeans and pulled them down. He found her lips again and kissed her hungrily as he pulled his jeans and boxers down. Cortney pulled her underwear down and Jax lifted her up and he finally entered her with such force the back of Cortney's head hit the door. She wrapped her legs around him as he fucked her. Her body hitting against the door with each thrust. Cortney clawed at his back as she tighten her legs and gripped around him.
"Oh God!" Jax moaned as Cortney's walls tighten around his cock. He looked into her light brown eyes as he continued to bury himself in her. Cortney gazed into his ocean blue eyes as she felt full of him with each thrust. She never wanted to let him go and by the look in his eyes he never wanted to stop fucking her. Jax felt his orgasm rising. He took his finger and started to rub Cortney's clit as he continued his assault in her. Jax groaned as he slowed down to make sure Cortney was on the verge of coming. His fingers continued their magic on her clit and Cortney felt her orgasm rising. Seeing the familiar look on her face when she was close to coming Jax quicken his pace. Cortney let out a loud moan and grabbed a handful of Jax's hair as she came. Jax was right behind her as he leaned into her neck and bit the spot that always drove her crazy. Cortney flinched in pain and sighed as the waves of her orgasm finished coursing through her body. They held onto each other for a long moment not wanting to move. Cortney finally moved and Jax slowly pulled out. They pulled the bottom half of their clothes back on in silence.
"When Steven comes home this weekend I need you to tell him he will not be prospecting anymore." She told him and not waiting for an answer she let herself out the door.
