/~~~~~Chapter 9: The Order~~~~~~~\\

"Hermione!" Fred ran with the hunters hot on his heels. He could feel the breath of one behind his neck.

"Stupify!" He heard a voice scream and looked behind him to see Harry fighting off a crowd of them while George used a chair to fight off three trying to get up the stairs.

"Hermione!" Fred screamed again and thundered up the stairs till he came to the room and threw open the door to see Hermione clutching a towel to her hand that she got from the hamper .

"Fred!" She jumped up and he took her into his arms and hugged her tightly.

"We need to go!" He pulled her towards the door but George and Harry ran through slamming it shut while Harry put on a barricade spell.

"It won't hold them for long! We need to get out of here!" Harry yelled and noticed Hermione bleeding and his eyes grew wide in relization.

"Just get us out of here!" She motioned to Fred and George but they shook their head.

"Cant! He put up a spell trapping us here unless we leave by foot!" George said.

"Or car!" Fred suddenly remembered and ran to the blown open window and looked to the shed across the yard. Putting his finger to his lips he blew hard sending a whistle out and a revving engine could be heard in the distance. Soon an old blue Ford burst down the door of the shed and took flight up to the house and circled it. The door was slammed and clawed against and the wood splintered a bit.

"Angila come on!" Fred called like a dog and the car floated up to the window and opened it's door.

"A flying Ford?" Hermione asked as Fred picked her up while rushing to the window as Harry and George hopped over the thresh into the front driver seat.

"Yeah family car" He smiled and George held his hands out for her which Fred quickly handed her over the gap and George pulled her in.

Just then the door snapped open and hunters filled in the room.

"Whoa we are out of here!" George slammed down on the gas just as Fred jumped in the car and took off with the door still hanging open. Fred leaned out shuting the door and they took off as they looked back and watched hunters crawl all over the house watching them go.

"Where are we going?" Hermione asked as Fred looked at her wounds.

"12 Grimmauld Place" George and Harry said together.

"Oh.. Ok" Hermione had no idea what it was but she would accept it and let Fred fix her up.

George and Harry busied themselves with looking at the map they had for where to go manually to their destination, giving them privacy.

"Hold on Mione, I'll fix you up" Fred brought her hand to his mouth and began to clean the blood away with his soothing tongue and she felt her hand tingle. She watched him do this and to cover her rapidly beating heart she decided to talk.

"I'm sorry about your sister" She whispered. Fred glanced up to her from her hand before returning to work on healing her.

"We'll get her back" He muttered and placed a soft kiss to her now healed hand. He began to clean her other cuts and removed a small piece of glass from her neck and licked up her neck to clear it of any wounds.

"How?" She asked quietly.

"Don't you worry about a thing love… Ginny is a strong vampire and possesses many magical abilities. She will be fine until we can get her out." Fred finished and wrapped her in his arms.

They flew for quite some time before touching down on a dark street. Hermione stepped from the car and looked around at the lit up homes, filled with magical creatures eating dinner at this time or getting ready for bed. In front of them were apartment building squished together with all the lights on and inhabitant.

"Are we in the human world?" She whispered to Fred.

"No, we're still in the magical world, but this is a more domestic area. But Witches and Wizards sometimes choose to live amongst muggles since they have the ability to come across as humans. Not all of them do it, it's actually rare for a magic person to want to leave the magical world.. If you leave the magical world you can not perform magic yourself and you cannot have children outside of the magical community." Fred said and she watched as they stood in front of a particular building.

"Which building is it?" She looked down the row of buildings.

"12" George said.

"Um… this is 13 and 11... No twelve" She broke the news to them and they smiled to her as Harry gave her a curious look.

"It's a fidelius charm, there is a building here… it's just hidden… look closer" George explained and Hermione squinted her eyes.

Suddenly the buildings began to move apart and make room for another large building between it. Her eyes grew wide and she gasped as the magic being done before her. Harry watched her instead of the building with curiosity still.

"Wow… amazing" She smiled and they headed up the steps and knocked.

The door was thrown open and Molly pulled them inside and slammed the door. They were all engulfed in hugs and tears.

"Oh my babies! I was so worried!" She hugged them all and they finally got loose and she unshed them down the hall to the sitting room where all the weasleys and a few other people were.

Everyone looked alright except for Fleur who had a cut on her forehead and was clutching her sleeping child in her arms as Bill watched over them with concerned eyes.

"Is everyone alright?" George asked.

"We're fine… We all ran, and one tried to grab Victoire but mama Fleur attacked them with claws of furry." Charlie spoke up to lighten to mood.

"Ok now that we are all here we need to discuss how to get Ginny back!" Molly said and everyone nodded.

"We just need to speak with Kingsley and he will have this cleared up in seconds" Percy said and Arthur shook his head.

"I haven't spoken to him in years. He is kept under tight security in that building. No one in or out without clearance" Arthur rubbed his head.

"But we have to get her out of there! Christmas is only three days away!" Molly whimpered.

"We will get her out! Molly I swear this to you! There is a way of speaking with him" A man with black crazy hair spoke up.

"That's Sirius Black, Harry's god-father" Fred whispered to her and she nodded in knowledge now.

"How?" William spoke up.

"Every year the ministry holds a Christmas Eve charity party for the ministry. They parade around the minister and his men in front of all the wealthy donators that help fund the ministry. Kingsley never misses an event. If we can get in and talk to him he can help" Black said and Molly nodded as a sad smile came to her face.

"But that party is invitation only" Arthur insisted and everyone looked crest fallen.

"I get an invitation yearly, due to my mother had been Kingsleys best friend in school and he always made sure I had an invitation even as a child. The invite lets you bring one guest with you. I can bring one of you with me" Luna spoke up from her hiding spot behind some people and Hermione was shocked to see her. Her face was puffy as if she had been crying and her hair was a bit disheveled.

"Perfect! I will go with you! Kingsley wont say no to seeing me" Arthur volunteered.

"But we want to help!" Charlie spoke up and all the Weasley's and Harry agreed.

"No it's to dangerous! You all stay here. Luna how do we get your invitation?" Arthur asked.

"The invitations are so exclusive that you must pick them up at Gringotts bank from the head banker. No one is allowed to know of the invitation list due to security. You just know you have to pick one up by an owl you receive. I have mine back at the house" Luna said and Arthur nodded.

"Ok the ball is the day after tomorrow so Percy you will help me get ready with my case. Everyone else just don't worry.. I'll get her back" Arthur walked to the office with Percy, Serius, William and another man.

Molly was taken to the kitchen by a woman with flaming purple hair to make tea to calm her down.

"We can't just leave her there! Something will go wrong! No way will Malfoy let dad get within a hair of Kingsley at that ball! We need a back up plan" Charlie said and everyone agreed.

"What if we find a way to get in there and get to Kingsley first. No way Malfoy could stop all of us without drawing attention from Kingsley to us. He knows us all and would listen to any of us." Fred suggested and George nodded.

"Yeah we could make a plan on distracting Malfoy while the rest of us go get Kingsley." George said.

"But how will you guys get in? I can only take one person with me" Luna whispered as she sat on the couch by Hermione and Fred.

"We will get our own invitation and sneak everyone in when we go. If we try and sneak with you and dad, dad will know instantly and stop us." Charlie rubbed his chin.

"How about we each go in pairs to the bank and try to get the letters under false names? Names that would definitely be under the list?" George piped up.

"Yeah! We could say we are picking up the invitations for them as their servants" Luna smiled but her eyes still seemed red.

"Ok perfect! Tomorrow we do this and if it doesn't work we will go from there" Fred said and they all nodded and broke up to head separate ways.

"What is this place?" Hermione asked as they walked down a corridor with many painting across them.

"This was a hide out for the order of the phoenix members. They were a renegade group of magical folks that wanted to set things right when the magical creatures were moved to the other realm. They met here and promised to forever be implanted in the ministry to keep things right." He pointed to a large moving picture of a large group of people smiling at the camera.

"There are my parents on the left.. And Harry's parents Lilly and James in the front. Sirius, Luna's parents, everyone in this picture was part of the original resistance. Before the resistance there was the order and it's so secret that most believe it only as a myth for parents to tell their children in hopeful stories that things will get better like they once were." Fred sighed sadly to the picture and looked over all the faces that they have lost.

"But your parents seemed so against revolution" Hermione cocked her head.

"They are not against the ministry… The ministry was made for the protection of all magical creatures. They supported it fully… But there is always corruption waiting to take over. My parents only want a peaceful world in which to raise their children… like I hope to as well one day. They joined the order to make sure they could achieve that together." He pointed to the face of a young African american man that stood by Luna's mother who was holding her husbands hand smiling brightly. The dark skinned man was smiling brightly as well and looked from the blonde witch to the others and to the camera with such hope on his face.

"That is Kingsley" He said softly and Hermione's eyes grew wide.

"He was an order member? Then why is everything so messed up if one of your own is in charge?" She asked quietly.

"Well some decades after we moved to our realm the original minister was a kind old wizard who took care of all magical needs. Kingsley had just graduated from Hogwarts and was his apprentice for many years. One night the minister was found dead in his office, he was killed by one of the few killing curses we have. In his remaining testament he gave Kingsley control of the ministry. No one knew why or how he could do it but Kingsley took it with shock and grace. For a few decades everything was fine in the ministry. Until a few attempts on the ministers life began to happen. Malfoy his head of security informed him of lies that there were magic fold out there trying to kill him. He said he must keep him safe and locked away while he ran things. Slowly Malfoy took over sections at the ministry. He was appointed head of the military, and recently the judicial system." Fred's fists tightened into balls.

"Why didn't Kingsley contact you all?" She asked.

"We don't know… three years ago he stopped talking to us all together… That's when the executions were brought in and the new laws. My mother and father initiated my three brothers William, Charley and Percy into the Order when they came of age, to continue the tradition. Me and George were next and introduced to the order and then Ron… Ginny was suppose to be introduced next month as a member. She had no idea what we were doing… She thought we just laid back and took what they did… We should have told her" Fred looked down and Hermione placed her hand on his arm gently.

"You didn't know this would happen… it's not any of your faults." Hermione soothed him and tried to get him to look at her.

"But she's in danger now for trying to do something she thought was right… She was reckless and we could have shown her the right way to do this." He turned away from her more but Hermione pulled him around and forced him by his cheeks to look at her in the eye.

"We will get her back… I promise you Fred" Hermione smiled softly and Fred drew her in for a tight hug that she eagerly returned.

"You're human arent you?" They gasped and pulled away to see Harry standing before them with questioning eyes.

Fred moved her behind him and tried to form his words.

"Harry she-"

"No it's ok... I won't say anything... But she is... right?" Harry looked past him to the worried human girl.

"Yes I am... It was an accident I came here... I'm so sorry Ginny was taken because of me. I will do everythign I can to help get her back" Hermione came from around Fred and took Harry's hand into her own and he smiled to her.

"Thank you.. no offence but what could you possibly do?" Harry cocked his head and Hermione shrugged.

"I can do my best" She said and Harry smiled softly to her before nodded.

"I'm going to head to bed. Big day tomorrow and all" He squeezed Hermione's hand before releasing it and headed down the long hall to a door and once he was gone she just felt his pain and knew he wouldn't be sleeping.

"Harry's a good guy... He really cares for Ginny." Fred lead her down the hall to another empty room and lead her inside.

"You can sleep here, the house is filled with empty roomes so we have more then enough to share." He gestured to the bare room that had a dresser, and a queen sized bed.

"Fred... Will you stay with me tonight" She looked up to him and he knew it was nothing sexual. Mostly pure need to have him with her, looking over her is what she really wanted.

"Of course Mione" He whispered and after kicking off their shoes and coats, they cuddled together in the bed. Before she thought sleep would never come, but as soon as he inhailed Fred's scent she found sleep was as easy to come by as air.

Dreams invaded her thoughts. Not the dreams she craved to have of her own red head, but of things that made absolutly no sense.

'You're home', A voice whispered to her as she floated in eternal darkness.

'I'm home?' Hermione asked without moving her lips.

'We've searched for you for a long time', The voice said. Yet it didn't frighten her. It was like hearing the voice of a long lost friend. Comforting and familiar as it sank into her mind.

'I'm sorry, I didn't know I was lost', She watched the ripples of her mind unfold like ripples in a lake.

The voice chuckled and it was like ringing bells on christmas morning. The kind you were told hung from santas sleigh.

'Such a special child' The voice caressed her face yet had no physical body.

She smiled and inhaled the scent of the man she had given her heart to.

'The mind is strict but the heart is careless.' She felt tightness around her body and moaned as she snuggled closer to the warmth under her.

She felt the voice getting farther away and wanted to chase it but at the same time not wanting to leave the warmth around her.

'Wait... Don't go' Hermione held her hand out.

'Don't freat child... for we have found you' The voice faided away and her eyes flew open as her warmth dissapeard as fast as she had sat up.

"Fred?" She looked around the empty room and wondered what that strange dream was about.

"Fred?" Hermione stood and looked out the window. The sun had risen and she quickly put on her shoes and rushed down stairs to smell and head breakfast going on.

Upon entering the kitchen she saw the large room filled with people and some faces she had never seen before.

"Mornign Mione, care for some food?" Fred asked from the table where he sat with his brothers. Placing a hand to her stomach she felt it growl and knew by the smirk on Fred's face he heard.

"Come on, lets get you settled." He pulled her down the stairs towards the kitchen. Upon entering she saw layouts of different foods and she almost drooled.

"Kreacher?" Fred called and Hermione was about to asked who that was when a small goblin like creature poped out from behind the table and Hermione gasped and stepped back at the old looking elf.

"What?" The house elf sneered and Fred rolled his eyes.

"Mind making a plate for our house guest Hermione?" Fred asked and the house elf sneered to Hermione but non-the less he started to make a plate but slopped the food on there harshfully.

"It's ok, I can make my own" Hermione tried to say but Kreacher pushed the plate into her hands and Fred growled to him and the house elf growled back.

"Don't mind him, he's a grouch." Fred waved off the elf who went back to cooking and cleaning.

"Well I wouldn't be a plesant person if I was forced into slave work" Hermione felt her heart strings tug for the house elf.

"Oh great! Another bleeding heart! Listen here witchy, I don't want to make waves so you leave me alone and I'll leave you alone" He waved a bony finger to her and she squeaked but nodded and turned away quickly as Fred chuckled and followed.

"Told you" He whispered and she bit back a smile before it vanished and she sat at the table with a sad Weasley family.

As she picked at her food she noticed Luna looked a wreck and wondered what happened to her last night. The table had light talk so no one paid them any attention.

"Luna... are you ok?" Hermione ate slowly as Luna looked up to her from her own food yet her's was untouched andnodded.

"Oh yes Hermione... I just... Have some... Have you ever thought you were being lied to... used?" Luna whispered and Hermione thought she saw her eyes tear up again.

"Can't say that I have... are you in any trouble?" Hermione placed a hand onto Luna's and the small witch looked away.

"I'm not sure yet.. I hope not." Luna stood and gave a quiet 'excuse me' before leaving.

Hermione knew she wanted to be alone so she instead ate her food quietly, knowing she will see her later.

Upon finishing her breakfast, she was pulld into the other room by Fred. There she met with everyone that was in on their second plan.

"Ok everyone so we go in small groups so as not to seem suspitious. I can't go since they know me. But Charlie and Ron you go first asking to collect for Carrow. Harry and Luna go for Parkinson. Fred, George and Hermione you go pick up for Greengrass." Bill said and they nodded.

"In the case of a fail on all accounts we meet back here imidiatly for a back up plan" They all nodded and broke apart.

"Come on Hermione, I have some clothes you can use." Luna lead her up to her room to share more clothes.

Later that day Hermione, Fred, and George stood infront of the large marble white building that was Gringotts Wizarding Bank. Hermione's head leaned back as she read the inscription on the white marble. The bank intersected Diagon Alley and Knockturn Alley.

"Gringotts is one of the most secure places in the wizarding world." Geroge spoke up and Hermione had to admit she was impressed.

"Which will make our victory all the sweeter" Fred smirked and looked down to his human and admired how she looked in the red sweater and black slacks. She looked like she belonged here among his kind. So natural how her eyes roamed over the faces of different creatures entering and exiting the building. How he wished she could stay, yet for her own safety, once they had rescued his sister, she would be going home. Shaking his head he was about to enter when the familiar faces of Luna and Harry exited the building. Upon seeing their faces the trio looked to them hopefully but the pair shook their heads sadly as they continued on their way.

"Guess it's up to us" Fred sighed and looked to his twin brother.

"No pressure" George sighed and with a heavy look to each other they entered the building.

Upon entering Hermione tried to look like she belonged in the setting. Outside there were shoutings from merchants and heavy sounds of the market place around them. But upon closing the doors, silence filled the room. You could hear quills scratching across parchment and soft whispers of people in line, waiting to see the bankers. The building stretched far as long marble desks linned the sides and goblins sat behind the desks counting gold. As they walked slowly down the white marble floor, Hermione couldn't help glancing to her sides to get a closer look at the creatures. They were short, wrinkly looking things with sharp yellow teeth. Upon catching her eyes they would sneer and push their gold closer to themselves and she quickly looked away.

Upon reaching the fery end of the hall Hermione looked up to the very tall marble colum desk of an older lookign goblin who was writing on a scroll. George cleared his throat and the creature paused and glanced up at them. Snorting he lowered the quill and ajusted his reading glasses. He grasped the edge of the desk and leaned forward to look at them and she saw it's ugle yellow claws.

"What is your business" It growled out and Hermione just wanted to kick the small creature in the face for looking down upon them in such a manner.

"Picking up an invitation to the ministries anual christmas eve ball for tomorrow" Fred said and talked with an air of business that impressed Hermione.

The goblins head tilted as he sneered and flexed his fingers.

"A little late to be picking up an invitation?" His eyes roamed to the three of them as if sizing them up for lies.

"Are you saying there are none left?" George mimicked Fred's air of confidence and the Goblin growled at their stances. Pulling out a scroll from beneath his desk he opened it and let his eyes scan down and a evil smile spread across his face.

"Actually there happens to be one left. Name?" He touched the quill to the tip of its warted tongue and hovered over the paper.

George looked to Fred and Hermone with worry actually filling his gaze now.

"Greengrass" He said softly and all three of them clenched their fists, waiting to hear the answer.

The goblin chuckled darkly as he set the quill down and took off his glasses.

"Wrong. The Greengrass's picked their's up last week..." The goblin looked like it enjoyed the pained look that came across their faces.

"No that has to be a mistake." George shook a bit as fear filled him for his little sisters life.

"No mistakes... No invitation for you... now leave" He pointed to the door and George's eyes turned pink as he wanted to lung forward and rip the small goblin to shreds.

A hand landed on his shoulder and he turned to see Fred holding him and shaking his head.

"Not here George... Let's go" Fred squeezed his arm.

"We will find another way" Hermione whispered and George's head snapped to her.

"You don't know if there is another way Granger! This might have been our only hope" George's eyes turned a bit more red and Fred squeezed harder.

George-" Fred was going to drag him out when the Goblin gasped and they turned to see his shocked face.

"Did you say Granger?" He placed on his glases and scanned the list.

Silence filled the lasting void as they watched the goblin look from the paper to Hermione before striking off the name and setting down the list.

"I do say in all my years as a banker, I have never seen someone actually turn down an invite to this event." He looked down to Hermione in disgust.

"Excuse me.. I'm on the list?" Hermione placed a hand on her chest.

"Yes... for the past twenty five years the name Granger has been on this list... Never once has anyone shown up for it." He turned and began to walk down the steps.

Hermione looked to a just as shocked George and Fred who were looking from her to the goblin who was now standing before them with a key.

"Follow me" He grumbled and they did as they were told.

"Hermione your name is on the list? How?" Fred whispered and she shrugged and threw her hands up.

"I have no idea Fred." They were led to metal cart where they were told to sit down. Upon seating the cart took off and Hermione felt like she was on a rollercoaster. It turned left and right, up and down, even a freaking cork screw turn! The cart jolted to a stop and she grasped her stomach and head as the goblin took a lantern and got onto the side of the dock. It looked like an underground sewer with large iron doors lining the docks of the rails.

"This volt has been untouched for quite some time. We place the invitations in the familys valt." The goblin placed the key into the hole and backed up. Hermione turned the key and the door unhinged and swung open. Upon entering the goblin handed her the lantern and she stepped inside. All around her was a valt of books and papers. In the corner was a small satchel of gold nugets and her eyes roamed the whole room with amazement. This... this is.. She walked to a desk and saw an old moving photo and picked it up. A gasp came to her lips as she noticed the face in the photo.

"Hermione... what is it?" Fred asked coming up behind her.

"It's... my dad.." She pointed to the photo of a young man wearing gryffindor clothing standing with what looked to be a group of healers in white coats all patting his shoulder as he shook hands and smiled.

"Your father was a wizard?" Fred asked in shock.
