Warning to all squeamish readers: this chapter is very dark. Don't like, don't read.

(No one's POV)

Hajime was sitting in the living room with a beer in hand and the TV playing in the background. No light from the outside came in through the window, keeping the room dark and dank. This was one of his favorite rooms. He had many fond memories of his little skank screaming in this room. He could picture her tied up in his chair bleeding from the knife that licked at her skin oh so gracefully; imagine her screams filling the room, echoing off the walls and back into his ears.

Sadly, that little skank of his ran away. He searched for days, even asked those pesky little friends of hers, or ex-friends as it was. Yet none of them seemed to know where she was. If he could he would make good of his threats to use her sister instead; but sadly he couldn't do that either. That little bitch had gone and gotten herself killed in a fire. Now he was stuck in his favorite room with nothing better to do than watch his old home movies. It was the closest thing he had to pleasure since Amu left.

To top off his week, his wife left him! That little gold digging tramp had left him for an American man she met in the Caribbean's. He had more money than Hajime did, and now that neither of her daughters were holding her back, she moved to America with him.

Taking out his lighter and a cigar, he lit the thing and continued pleasuring himself to the movie that played on the screen.

*crack* the sound of shattering glass broke him from his repetitive movements to turn and look around the room. When he realized that his beer bottle had been knocked over he returned to his previous entertainment.

It wasn't even five minutes later that something flew across the room and smashed the TV screen; halting his pleasure for the time being. A shadow creeped out from behind the curtain holding a bat in its hand.

"What do you want from me?! I haven't done anything!" Hajime screamed at the hooded figure.

"Don't lie!" came out a distorted voice. "I saw your little creepy movie, I know what you did to that girl! Scum like you deserve to rot in hell," and down came the bat, smashing Hajime's fingers against the coffee table.

"Stop! Please, I'll do anything! Money? Is that what you want? I have money,"

"How 'bout an ultimatum? You turn yourself in for rape and assault or I'll bash your fucking face in" that bat swung back to the shadows should, preparing for his next swing. "You have 10 seconds to answer"

Hajime just sat there quaking in fear cradling his bashed hand to his chest. He didn't want to go to prison, but he didn't know how far this shadow was willing to go; and he definitely wasn't going to die here in this hell hole, fully exposed to this creep.

"3…2…"

"Alright! Alright, I'll turn myself in! Just please, don't hurt me!" that was put down and the shadow started to walk away.

"Alright, but if I find out you haven't turned yourself in by noon, I'll be back for you." And it disappeared through the door and left the god forsaken house in his rearview mirror.

(The next day, Ikuto's POV)

The cops came by today, asking Amu about her home life, about what that creepy bastard did to her. I could hear the sobbing and sniffling from my room, and it cut like knives to hear how broken she was. She should have never of gone through any of that. She should have had a happy life, with many friends and smiles. She didn't deserve any of this.

After they left, Amu marched herself upstairs passing my room without even a glance in my direction. Her tearstained face was all red and puffy and it was obvious she was trying her best to hold back anymore tears that threatened to fall. She hurriedly entered the bathroom, I could hear the bathwater run and the music turn on. Of course it was loud punk music; the girl, although sweet as can be, was a punk at heart.

Mom had left to go pick up dinner from some restaurant an hour away and wouldn't be back for a while. Utau had gone to Amu's old house to see if anything there was worth keeping, and then on to the mall to buy some more clothes. She had asked Amu to come shopping with her, but the girl refused and said she just wanted to take a bath.

That left me and her alone, and god was it hard to restrain myself. All I wanted was to hold her and tell her everything was going to be alright. But she doesn't remember me, it would be weird for me to do that when she can't even really trust me.

"Hey Ikuto?" came a small peep from the hall.

"What's wrong Amu?"

"Nothing really, I just don't want to be alone right now. Would you mind if I hung out in here with you?"

"No problem. Did you want to put on a movie or something?"

"Yeah that'd be great."

"How about Grown Ups?" If the smile on her face was any indication, that movie was a winner.

"I love that movie"

That is how the night continued, with laughs and movies. Even when mom and Utau got back, they left us alone after hearing the laughs coming from the girl who hadn't even smiled that morning.

"Hey Ikuto?"

"Yeah?"

"I remember you,"

Duh, duh, dun. A bit of a cliff hanger there, but I decide to end it with a happy note. I hope I have time to update soon, I've finally decide only two chapters left after this. Please leave a comment, I would love to hear from you all. –Hiyotsui
