Here's chapter 6. Sorry it took so long but I got writers block again.

Atom's Residence, Boston Outskirts, Late night, Shad's PoV

"Well that was different," I stated as I examined my untarnished gloves. Sapphire was humming happily in my arms to some song I didn't know yet again. This new ability of mine made me think, 'What else she is able to do?' If the splicers got their hands on her, she would be killed and they could do what I could and more. And that in and of itself was a living nightmare in more ways than one.

"Come on Shad, we gotta get a move on before the owners wake up and call the cops," Blade said waiting near an entrance to the house's cellar, where the vault was. I gave him a nod and lifted Sapphire up to the air vent so that she could crawl through. As much as I want to have faith in her abilities, that she would be safe in there, I still couldn't help but worry about if there were splicers in the vault too or not. 'No.' I shook my head clear of those thoughts. 'Sapphire's a smart girl. She'll remain hidden until I get there if that's the case.'

Blade and I headed inside to the vault, and I filled Blade in of what I felt before and after the incident. "Well maybe you should try it on the next splicer you see," he said. "I mean, what if that was a one-time thing. You should see if it is and if it needs to recharge or something." He had a point. I could use these powers to make jobs easier and do more good. Thin out the splicer population.

We eventually arrived at the vault only to be mystified and slightly appalled at what we saw, if Blade's blanch was any indication. Five splicers were guarding the vault and playing poker, not usually a problem, but they looked… wrong. More so than the previous ones. These guys were huge, with muscles the size of my head on their arms and had a chest that gave the term barrel chested a whole new meaning. We needed to be smart about this. My tranqs would be useless in single, regular doses due to their size and mass, and Blade couldn't handle these guys himself without being really pissed off. And that'd just get us caught. Then I noticed the shining oil slick under where they were playing that came from a spilled lamp next to the box they were playing on. 'Well,' I thought to myself, 'I've never been one to look a gift horse in the mouth before, and I ain't gonna start now.' So I tried my new power on it. Emphasis on tried. After countless hand gestures, motions and nearly screaming in frustration, I lazily snapped my fingers at the Splicers and felt something drain inside me. Fwoosh! I heard them screaming in pain and twitched. 'Are you kidding me! It was that easy?!' I tried to fry them again by snapping at them. Sizzle. Of fucking course they need to recharge.

Blade made quick work of the first two since they were injured, but the third seemed to come to his senses much faster. He grabbed my friend with a hand that easily eclipsed his head and growled. "Thought you'd kill my buddies and get a good laugh out of it, 'eh?" the splicer asked with a gravely Scottish accent. "I wonder how fast this little head of yours pops in my hand. Let's find out, shall we?" He started to tighten his grip on Blade, all my friends attacks up to now missing because he couldn't see or breath right.

I don't know what came over me, but I was drawing my knife one moment and was across the room the next with a sore head. He evidently dropped Blade while I was attacking him, but I wasn't done yet. The blood lust and adrenaline fueled my injured body as I launched myself at him and started stabbing him in his head. "Ger offa me!" He started to thrash around, trying to reach behind himself to grab at me but couldn't with his bulk in the way. He dropped dead after a few moments of hanging on during some more tense parts and stabbing, and the rage faded. Blade was unconscious from lack of air and his mask was heavily dented. I hope Sapphire could bring him back with her red stuff.

"Sapphire, open the door please," I pleaded from my side. I heard a click as the door opened to reveal my little girl, unharmed as well. Thank god for that.

"Hi daddy," she looked up at me smiling.

"Hey sweetheart," I replied with a smile. "Can you wake up your uncle over there for me?" I pointed to my fallen friend on the floor.

"OK!" she said enthusiastically as got to work. I walked into the vault, amazed at what I saw.

There was tons of bottled red and blue liquids in the vault, along with more than enough money to keep us set for a while. It really pays off to be a thief if you don't get caught, huh? I grabbed some of the vials and begun to stuff the money into my bag and in my trenchcoat. Jake could look at the bottled stuff at the base. When I was done looting the vault, I noticed something hiding in the in the corner forlorn. It looked like a thinner and lighter version of that diver's suit the thing Sapphire was crying over wore. I grabbed it, and it was much lighter than the armor the thing wore so I took it with me for Jake to study as well. I left the room with my spoils to see Blade and Sapphire waiting for me. "Got it all Ghost?" he asked me looking a little more energized than usual. Wonder what he's going to get from that stuff.

"Yeah let's go, we should head to base and have Tech see what this stuff is and what happened to us," I replied readjusting the suit on my shoulder. Seriously, it's like this thing is all leather and metal. How is it so light?

As we went through the remainder of the house, we came across an electronic lock that was connected to the garage door. I didn't have time to have Tech help me hack it with the darts and all my picks broke trying to break open a safe so I turned to leave, see if there was another exit somewhere. Or at least I was until Blade aimed his arm at it and let loose a freaking lightning bolt at door mechanism, shorting it out and kickstarting the opening function. As the garage entrance rose up slowly, I looked at my partner oddly. Before I could get a single word out, he simply stated, "My power from your little girl," and walked out. Definitely a bad thing for splicers to get her. We left for our base, an abandoned radio station. It was midnight, we had plenty of time.

"I'm getting sleepy daddy," Sapphire mumbled while rubbing her eyes. I lifted her onto my back and continued on, making sure not to further damage the armor on my shoulder. We arrived at the base and went straight to Tech's room. The room was full of hacking equipment, research gear and medical supplies. Tech was at his computer, keeping an eye on the cops at the house with a drone and wiping the camera's memories.

"Hey guys," he greeted, spinning around in his chair to face us.
