Fuyuki City, Japan
Gaara observed the person who summoned him. He knew that his stare was somewhat intimidating, and he wanted to see what his Master was made of when confronted with it. Both of them stayed like this for a moment more before Gaara finally decided to break the silence.
"You who have summoned me, I ask of you, are you my Master?"
Gaara noticed that the two men who stood outside the summoning circle were both surprised by his ability to speak so clearly.
"Hmm, perhaps you made a mistake in the aria?"
He knew that the one in the sweatshirt was his Master, but it seemed that he was severely depleted of prana, it looked as though he might even die before the War even really got started. However, that look of determination was a good one. He stepped forward away from the old man.
"I am."
His answer was clear and concise, it seemed he would do just fine as a Master for now. Unfortunately, it seemed that his gaze was beginning to be tinged with uncertainty.
"Although I have to ask, are you Berserker?"
Gaara closed his eyes and folded his arms. He hated that class title, it seemed that even in his afterlife, his youth was still there to mock him. Perhaps he would never be truly free. After a moment of thought he came to a decision.
"It's true that I have been summoned under the Berserker class."
The younger one looked quite pleased, but now the old man seemed to be having some doubts.
"Oh? You're surprisingly lucid for a Berserker class."
Gaara pierced the man with his stare. For a second the man defiantly looked at him, but soon the old man's resolve crumbled. Good, it seemed that he could even unnerve this man.
"I had not finished speaking yet."
Gaara then dismissed the old man, even if he was his Master's ally, it didn't matter. For the time being he was going to have to devote himself to learning his Master's limits. He would also have to crush the idea of making him only a mad dog that was overwhelmingly powerful.
"Even though I have been summoned under the Berserker class, it would preferable if you used my true name."
Well, it looked like he had surprised the two once more. The young man was scrutinizing him with an indescribable look and the old man merely looked disappointed.
"You are merely a tool for the use of the Holy Grail. Know your place, Servant."
Gaara once more directed a cool gaze at the older man. He was beginning to get annoyed. He was also finally able to discern why the man set him on edge.
"I don't want to hear that from something that's not completely human."
Zouken chuckled at that.
"So, you're not just some poor soul posturing as a hero if you can tell. Well, I suppose we have yet to see if the summoning you accomplished has failed, Kariya. I look forward to seeing what you can do with the Servant you have been dealt."
His piece said, Zouken turned around and ambled his way out of the room, leaving only Gaara and his new "Master." Truthfully, Gaara was wary of using this main to try and obtain his wish. He had barely been summoned and already the man looked as though he was half dead. If they were to get in a fight and he encountered another Magus, who were supposed to be some of the best around for the War, then he looked as though he would be obliterated in an instant.
"Damn that vampire. Well, I suppose I'll have to make do with you for now."
Gaara raised a nonexistent eyebrow in response to that. Apparently he had been accepted by the man he called Master. The man studied him for a moment before he continued his train of thought.
"If you don't want to be called your class title, what should I call you?"
Gaara closed his eyes and weighed the pros and cons of using his real name. Perhaps a different title would suffice? One that he had been proud to bear when he was alive.
"I suppose that you may call me Kazekage for now. It was one of the titles I held in my past and there shouldn't be too many who'll be able to discern the true meaning of the word in this Age."
The man nodded as he rambled over to Gaara.
"Very well then, Kazekage, my name is Matou Kariya. We need to win this war."
Kariya locked eyes with Gaara as he said this, making sure to drive home just how serious he was about that statement.
"No matter what."
Public Library, Fuyuki City
Currently Waver Velvet was trying his best to not give into the urge to slam his head against a solid object repeatedly.
He had summoned a mighty Heroic Spirit for the Fourth Grail War, one which was quite the imposing figure, and what was the first thing said Spirit did? He broke into a library.
What the hell did this guy even need with a library!? He was supposed to be the King of Conquerors damn it! Sighing Waver thought he might have to simply resign himself to the fate of following around this crazy Greek king for the foreseeable future.
"Well now, I can confidently say, that I have no idea where we are!"
Waver felt as though he should fall over or something at that dramatic ass statement, especially since the man had been perusing an atlas for the better part of two hours, but all he really felt like doing was crying. Why did he think this would be a good idea again?
Oh, right, that jerk Archibald. Well perhaps that was the lesser of two evils?
"How can you have no idea where we are, I pointed out Japan almost an hour ago when you asked?"
Rider merely laughed in his face at that assertion.
"Well that's simple, I have no idea where Japan is!"
Waver wondered if it would be acceptable to scream incoherently in public, but decided that yes, it would be.
"Please tell me you were doing something a little more worthwhile than just staring at that atlas for the last two hours."
Although he had ended his sentence with a statement, it was really more of a pleading question that he hoped Rider would be able to answer for him.
"Of course! I've been trying to figure out where my conquest would have stopped, I never did make it to that distant sea that everyone was talking about! And now, seeing the size of Greece and how big my Empire eventually grew I can say with confidence, that I never accomplished anything in my life!"
Waver felt his jaw drop at that. This was Iskander, the King of Conquerors, how could he say he had never accomplished anything within his (admittedly short) life?
"How can you even say that!? At the time you took quite a lot of the known Western world! There's a reason you're called 'The Great' by so many people!"
Rider merely waved his hand as if to dismiss Waver's outburst.
"I traveled long and hard and reached places I had never thought I'd see, but in the end, my only legacy is a tiny little island nation, not unlike the one I'm in now. I was a Conqueror, the King of Conquerors!"
Rider snorted as he turned back to the atlas laid out before him.
"But apparently, that's just a fancy title given to a hero who didn't understand the full scope of what he was trying to accomplish."
Waver blinked at his Servant's slightly bitter and melancholic tone at the end of his explanation. He considered trying to comfort Rider, but he had no idea what he would even begin to say to the man.
"Bah! That's why I was summoned in the first place! We'll right those injustices, for the time being, let us retire to your place of stay, little Master!"
Waver rolled his eyes at his Servant's ridiculous needs, but acquiesced easily enough. He was sure there would be many more challenges in the coming days, and he felt his back unconsciously get a little straighter as he had heard the king's speech. It seemed that nothing would be able to keep the King of Conqueror's down for very long.
Unknown House, Fuyuki City
"Shut (fill). Shut (fill). Shut (fill). Shut (fill). Shut (fill).
Repeat every five times.
Simply, shatter once filled.
――――I announce."
In a dim lit room in a small house within Fuyuki city, one Ryuunosuke Uryuu was busy occupying himself with drawing out an intricate circle with his foot. The fact that it was in the blood of the boy in the corner's parents didn't faze him at all as he kept on diligently reciting his words.
"Your self is under me, my fate(doom) is in your sword.
In accordance with the resort of the Holy Grail, if you abide by this feeling, this reason, then answer.
Here is my oath. I am the one who becomes all the good of the world of the dead, I am the one who lays out all the evil of the world of the dead.
You, seven heavens clad in three words of power, arrive from the ring of deterrence, O keeper of the balance ―――!"
He noticed he had finally completed his "magic" spell and now all there was to do was to wait. Glancing over at the kid that was tied up he couldn't help but let some of the glee he had felt at finding the inner workings of the boy's parents show on his face.
"Neh, what do you think? I'm gonna summon a monster? I mean this definitely has some form of monster summons written all over it doesn't it?"
The boy understandably seemed to be unable to answer, probably had something to do with the rag that was gagging him. Oh well, Uryuu supposed he would just have to continue to expound on what made this particular summoning ritual so interesting. Sliding his eyes once more to the boy he decided to see if he could make the boy even more terrified.
"Say… if a monster does come…"
It was here that Uryuu leaned forward and made sure to put as much menace in his voice as possible.
"… do you think I could sacrifice you to him?"
At this, the boy's struggles became even greater and the mewling in the back of his throat sent Uryuu off into uproarious laughter.
"Oh man, that's a great reaction! I would-"
However, he was forced to cut off his monologue as he felt a sudden burning sensation on the back of his hand. It felt like someone had just tried to sear something into his skin. Wincing in pain he glanced at the back of his hand and was shocked to see that some sort of rune seemed to be emblazoned on it and that it was glowing.
Suddenly the circle that he had drawn before lit up with an unearthly glow and Uryuu felt as though some part of his soul was being stretched. However, as quickly as it began, it abruptly stopped in an explosion of power from the center of the circle, leaving him questioning what exactly had happened.
As the smoke cleared he was left watching as a slightly deranged looking man wearing a dark blue robe with strange purplish highlights. The man's face made it seem as though he might have run face first into a wall as his eyes were spread far apart from each other and one eye occasionally drifted over to stare into nothing. The man had a hooked nose and his hair was gathered back in an almost dreadlock-esque style. Around his neck was some form of hooded necklace that had both dark blue and the color of blood on it.
Uryuu thought he looked like what might be the definition of a monster. He supposed that he would need to see if his hypothesis was correct.
"Yo, Mister! Are you a monster? If so, I have this sacrifice for you right here."
Uryuu gestured toward the kid that had been tied up and gagged. The man glanced over at Uryuu then at the kid and began to slowly walk toward the boy. Giving a friendly smile, he crouched down and began to untie the kid.
"There now."
This was first time Uryuu had heard the guy speak and his voice seemed to be fairly high pitched for the massive frame that he had, although that could also be attributed to some of the voluminous robes that he was wearing.
"Go ahead and run along, we wouldn't want you to be in too much trouble now, would we?"
The boy looked disbelievingly at the man and then glanced at Uryuu, but then he once more looked at the man. Not needing to be told anymore, the boy took off toward the front door.
Now Uryuu was a bit wary of the man that had appeared in a magic spell, but he would be damned if he let some punk kid escape from his clutches just because the guy decided to be nice.
"Hey mister-"
However that was as far as he got as the man clasped him on the shoulder and brought a finger to his mouth in the universal symbol of silence. He dug through his robes and took out a book that looked as though the cover had been tanned and shriveled for some time.
"Woah, is that human skin?"
Before Uryuu could ask anything else, the guy had opened his book and seemed to find what he was looking for. A quick mumble in a language that Uryuu had no idea how to even begin to translate and then the book was snapped shut.
The guy then proceeded to make his way to the front door and look out the hallway, with Uryuu following slightly behind. Uryuu immediately noticed that the kid had made it to the door and opened it, judging by the bright light shining through the darkened house.
Uryuu was about to berate the guy once more, when suddenly, the kid was engulfed in a mass of black tentacles. Uryuu stared in disbelief as he heard the anguished screams from the kid, before a smile slowly spread across his features. He looked at the guy that had been summoned and saw the llok of satisfaction there as well.
"It's easy to let the terror build up so much that it is no longer fun to allow the victim to be able to give into their terror. However, I believe that the true beauty of death lies in when the victim thinks that they has gotten away and therefore let's their guard down."
Here he smiled at Uryuu.
"The screams of the unprepared and formerly terrified are always more jubilant than those who have been subjected to that terror for hours on end. My name is Giles de Rais, and I have been summoned as the Caster for this Holy Grail War. Might I inquire as to what your name is, my new Master?"
Uryuu nodded dumbly at Caster, apparently he had entered into something more interesting than he had been prepared for.
"Yeah no problem, the name's Ryuunosuke Uryuu, nice to meet ya."
Caster looked him up and down and smiled beatifically.
"I think we are going to get along splendidly."
Church, Fuyuki City
Kotomine Kirei was sitting within his father's church and although his hands were clasped in prayer, he was thinking about a multitude of other problems. He couldn't understand how after all the experiences he had had in life so far, he could still feel so empty. Even the death of his wife did nothing but bore him, if anything he was happy she was dead. He had never truly loved her, even though she tried to heal his broken soul, she could never really succeed.
The problem was that not even he was sure what his own demons were. Someone else trying to justify his actions didn't make sense to him and there was nothing but regret by the time his wife had committed suicide. In the darker hours he contemplated following her, but he knew that he just didn't see the point. Hopefully something in this Holy Grail War would be worth salvaging, otherwise he would have to become some sort of hermit just to deal with his day to day life.
He was interrupted from his musings as his father made his way up the alley within the middle of the pews. Once his father reached him he took a seat near him and seemed to begin to pray. If anyone had looked in on the duo, all they would see was a father and son of the clergy praying before their God.
"The last Servant for this War has been summoned, are you ready for tonight?"
Kirei glanced sideways at his father, before giving a brief nod.
"It should be a simple enough plan, and Assassin has been getting ancy, waiting to be deployed. I think that this will be a good chance for him to cut loose a little. Hopefully it gets out some of the bloodlust that I've sensed in him."
Risei sneered at the mention of his son's Servant. The overseer and the Assassin didn't seem to truly get along, their views clashed more than was probably acceptable, but Kirei couldn't bring it in himself to care. He supposed that the Assassin that he had summoned was fitting. It was definitely someone who reflected his own wayward ideals, especially since no one had seemed to have heard of him before.
"Prepare yourself, the alliance with Tohsaka will only take us so far, it's this plan that will help us in the long run."
His piece said, Risei rose from the pew and began making his way out of the church proper, leaving his son to contemplate his thoughts alone.
"I suppose that you are still disinclined to try and cooperate with my father?"
Kirei's words seemed to be spoken to thin air, but a distortion of reality and his Servant had materialized within the church.
"I don't waste time with people who can't think for themselves. Are we finally done waiting?"
Kirei almost flinched at his Servant's tone, the man hated being kept on the sidelines and had wanted to get started as soon as he had been summoned.
"Yes, I know how much you hat waiting. Unfortunately it was necessary for our plans to have you be in the background for the time being."
Assassin nodded and astralized once more. Everything would be coming to a head soon, and Kirei intended to be ready for the rest of the night. It would be a long one.
Matou Manor, Fuyuki City
Gaara was looking out over the city from the top of the manor of which he had been summoned in. He had had to get out of that foul feeling room as quickly as possible, and the only thing holding him back from going after the man responsible for the reprehensible actions that happened within, was urging from his Master to not attempt to. Apparently Zouken was an old being, one who had gotten to the top by lying, cheating, and killing. All in all he would have made a good shinobi of the old guard, before the villages had been established.
Gaara, I think we're going to have to see what the other Masters are up to. I'm fairly sure that every Servant will be summoned soon.
Gaara sent his agreement over the mental link that he shared with his Master.
We need information more than anything at the moment, please make sure to keep a low profile.
Gaara acknowledged his Master's orders and then disappeared from the top of the manor in a swirl of sand, reappearing on a higher building within the more upscale part of the city. As he glanced around he realized that he was on top of a hotel of some kind, and that he felt the distinct presence of a Servant. Well then, apparently his Luck was not going to hold out. If he had been an Assassin e would have had Presence Concealment to stop the Servant from feeling him, but just as he was about to go on to his next destination, a man blurred into existence in a burst of speed.
"Oh? I felt that another Servant was nearby, but I didn't actually think that they'd still be hanging around. After all I think the war has only just begun."
Gaara gazed at his fellow Servant, taking in the striking features of brown hair and brown eyes, and the mole that seemed to accentuate his beauty in the glistening moonlight. He was dressed in a dark green and had on both black gloves that went past his elbow and black boots that went past his knees.
The man had landed on the roof in a crouch and as he straightened, a dual set of spears materialized within his hands. One was a vibrant red, and the other was a just as eye-catching yellow. Both spears seemed to be tinted with purple on the tips and had a blue pommel at the end of their shafts.
"Normally this is the point where I would demand your name as is honorable to my station as a knight, but due to the nature of this war, I suppose there's no point."
Gaara considered the man for a second, before folding his arms and deciding to reply. Perhaps he would be able to throw off Servants if he kept on giving his real name? He doubted that oral traditions were able to keep his legend alive after such a long time.
"It's no matter. My name is Sabaku no Gaara."
The man, who was obviously the Lancer for this war seemed taken aback by his readiness to introduce himself. He gave a small laugh of incredulity at Gaara's brash actions.
"Well, I can hardly let someone introduce themselves and not do the same, my name is-"
Unfortunately Lancer cut himself off as his head tilted to the side. He was obviously conversing with his Master. Apparently whatever they had talked about didn't sit well with the man, because after a moment of silence he sighed explosively.
"Apparently I've been instructed by my Master not to reveal my true name to you, so I suppose my title will have to do for now. I am the Lancer of this War, a pleasure to meet you, Gaara."
Gaara's teal eyes glanced to the man's spears.
"Yes, I had actually figured that out myself, thank you."
Lancer merely rolled his eyes at Gaara's tone, before he slid into a stance. Obviously the time for pre battle banter had been rapidly approaching an end, and the man was ready to begin to fight.
"I think we may just be the first two Servants to start a battle, let's make sure it's a glorious one!"
His piece said, Lancer used a burst of speed to get behind Gaara, who stood impassively as the man attempted to pierce at him with his yellow spear, only to be stone walled by a wall of sand.
Lancer's eyes widened at that, and he used his momentum of the thrust to push off backwards to avoid Gaara's follow up of a wave of sand at the man's feet. He came to rest on a water tower with a graceful flip before raising his other spear, and countering Gaara's sand, which was lost from his control suddenly and fell to the ground.
Undeterred, Lancer kicked off from his spot on the water tower, denting the metal in the process and this time assaulted Gaara with his red spear. Unfortunately before he could hit the defense of sand again, a tendril of sand wrapped around his wrist and pulled him to the ground. He stomped into the roof, cracking it at the same time as he tossed his spears and exchanged them, before cutting through the tendril of sand around his wrist before quickly twirling the spear and deflecting another wave of sand.
Throughout this entire process, Gaara had still yet to move from his original position. Lancer glanced warily at the sand that seemed almost alive at the red head's feet, swirling in a defensive manner.
"Well that's something you don't run into every day."
Gaara gave the slightest nod in acknowledgement. He knew that this man was particularly dangerous to him. The red spear seemed to be able to briefly loosen the control he had over sand for a moment.
"I must praise your skill, Lancer. Of the many people I have fought, there have only been a handful that were capable of piercing my Ultimate Defense."
Lancer merely smiled in praise of his skills, apparently this Servant was more easy going than the type of people that Gaara had expected to face.
"Well, I guess I'll give credit where it's due, that sand of yours is a bit unfair. You don't even need to move to use it do you?"
Gaara's eyes narrowed as Lancer took a deep breath and lowered his center of gravity.
"For other Lancer's this would seem kind of crazy."
Gaara felt his eyes widen as he realized what the Lancer was going to do a fraction of a second before he did it. The man cocked the arm that held his red spear back and then hurled it with all his might towards the red head.
With a scream of displaced air, the spear blasted toward Gaara, and his sand cam up to meet the spear, but it sailed right through it as if it weren't even there. With a grimace the spear struck true and hit directly into Gaara's chest. His eyes widened, but then the spearman was suddenly there with his yellow blade, a burst of speed getting the better of his sand, and the man lopped of the Berserker's head.
Unfortunately as soon as that happened, the form of the body he was fighting burst into sand and tried to consume the man. He did a complicated twirl with his red lance and once more the sand was kept at bay. Unfortunately in the scuffle, it seemed that the Servant he was fighting had disappeared, leaving him completely alone on the roof of the hotel.
"Tch, he got away."
Lancer couldn't stop the smile from forming on his face at the fight that he had just had. True he had been given the slip, but he was sure that he could at least take on one Servant in this war, and that was something that he was very much glad to understand. After all, he wasn't the most famous of heroes, and even if his pride said yes, it was a validation to his own legend that he was able to go toe to toe with other Servants.
Sighing, he astralized and made his way back towards his Master, who was admittedly unhappy with the fact that a Servant had slipped through his clutches.
Tohsaka Manor, Fuyuki City, Japan
Assassin slipped through the shadows of the manor, barely making a sound as he did. He had been someone who had dealt in the shadow in life and he embraced the shadows all the more so in death. A slip through the admittedly weak gates of the Tohsaka manor had him viewing what he was sure was the key to the magical protections of the house.
Glancing at the spinning circle with an apathetic gaze, he flicked a rock that he had picked up from the ground and watched in disinterest as disintegrated after coming into contact with the force field surrounding the key.
Sighing at the theatrics that he would have to put on, he allowed his strings to form and dart through the field and speared the small key that was in the center. With a sigh of impatience, he allowed himself to let loose a little and sent many more strings darting around destroying the other keys, utterly destroying the defenses of the manor. Although his Master had said that he wanted to put on a show, he was sure that the Tohsaka would not be appreciative of the fact that his entire system had been dismantled in an instant.
Just as he had finished destroying the last of the keys, he jumped to the side and rolled as a spear embedded itself right where he had been contemplating if he should do more damage a moment ago.
Gazing up toward the night sky, he saw that a figure in resplendent gold was standing on one of the towers, red gaze almost glowing in the moonlight.
"Who gave you permission to gaze upon your king, cur. May your death serve as statement to all those who would wish to try and defeat a King. Know that your luck ran out the moment you were summoned in this war to fight me. Begone!"
The man's piece said, a golden glow appeared behind him and out from the golden circles that formed a variety of weapons appeared. Axes, spears, swords, if they had a blade, they were represented by the golden glow.
Assassin's eyes narrowed, he supposed that his dispassionate countenance wasn't the greatest for what he would attempt next, but before he could move, the man in the golden armor had shot his arsenal forth and had pierced Assassin's body in a myriad of ways.
From Assassin's mouth, a trickle of blood dribbled out, and he slumped over as the Servant that had defeated him let his Gate dissolve.
"What a bothersome opponent, Tokiomi. I hope the others put up more of a fight than this."
From within the back of his mind he heard his "Master" reply.
But of course my king, this was merely the start of the War, we needed to make a statement, I'm sure the others will be much more to your liking.
"Hmph, make sure that they are."
His piece said, the man astralized in golden sparks, all too aware of the various familiars that had just witnessed the event. It was no matter, he would cull anyone who got in his way, let them know his abilities, it would do nothing to stop him.
Church, Fuyuki City
Kirei walked calmly into his father's church. He had to make sure to let the appearance of helplessness last just a bit longer, otherwise the years of planning would fail at the last second.
"My Servant has just been defeated and I seek Sanctuary from the church as a Master of the Holy Grail War."
His father chuckled in response to that as he walked forward and placed a comforting hand on his son's shoulder.
"Don't worry, the church recognizes your loss and will protect you with to the best of its ability."
Kirei nodded his acceptance and the tow waited for a moment, before neither could feel the gaze of any familiars.
"It seems that they have left for the time being. I must say, that was a brilliant performance, Sasori."
Assassin materialized once more and gave a slight bow.
"It was a simple enough matter to create a puppet to take a fall. I didn't even need to be in the vicinity for it to work."
Risei nodded his satisfaction at a plan executed well.
"Nonetheless, your puppets gave this plan the best chance that we could have had, although I was slightly surprised at not getting our intended target, perhaps you were an even better fit."
Kirei certainly agreed with his father's assessment. What better fit of a Servant for himself than a lifeless puppeteer that no one seemed to be able to remember? He supposed Sasori was the greatest Servant to match his own unique emotionless state.
"The next time you make me wait that long, I'll kill the both of you."
Risei seemed taken aback by that statement, but Kirei knew how much his Servant hated waiting. The only thing that was more pronounced than his emotionless ideals. Kirei merely nodded in response to his Servant's demands. Satisfied that the two had gotten the message, Assassin once more astralized and took to the shadows. He declined to mention that at least one Servant had probably not been fooled by their performance, but that was the punishment they faced for making him wait for such a long time.
Matou Manor, Fuyuki City
Kariya let his look of surprise do the talking when his Servant had informed him that the Assassin was not dead. All the Master's had noted the man be impaled by that despicable Tohsaka's servant. Surely he hadn't survived the encounter?
"What makes you so certain that the Assassin isn't dead, he definitely had a presence while he was there."
Gaara nodded as he gazed out one of the windows of the manor in thought.
"The man was a renowned puppeteer from my own time, he was famous for making lifelike puppets and manipulating them in battle. He once took over a country with just him on the battlefield. Mind you it was a small country, but that man is dangerous. He was a powerful shinobi in my time, and his abilities are not to be taken lightly, especially with the Assassin class stats."
Kariya took in this information from his Servant and decided that it would be enough for the time being. He would just have to wait until later on to take on both, the Assassin and Tohsaka's Servant.
"How was the battle with Lancer?"
"Although the man has an annoying spear that can check my own Noble Phantasm, his awareness is less than he would like. As soon as the first attack had been over I was able to switch with a sand clone and make my escape. I've already begun to make counter plans for him, so don't worry."
Kariya nodded and sighed as he leaned back in the chair he was sitting in. He really hated the fact that he was in this accursed manor and that he was helping out his Grandfather, however indirectly. He knew it was for Sakura's sake, but this place brought out the worst in him.
"Then that's three Servants that we already have a rough understanding of, I suppose we'll just have to wait and see for the others."
Gaara nodded, hopefully Sasori would be the only surprise from his time in this war, it was also probably a good thing to neglect to mention that Sasori had been able to technically kill him at one time. He knew he was stronger than he was before, and he was ready for the challenge that the Servant's he had seen so far bring to the table.
I think I'm gonna stop there. Whelp, this is embarrassing, I have had the beginning of this written out for a very long time, but then a combination of writer's block, real life, and other assortment of problems occurred and stopped me from continuing. Well, I've finally updated, and for those of you following Lucid Berserker, I think you can somewhat understand why. Also, I don't know how clear it's been, but the two stories are interconnected, so just like we knew that Fate/Zero wasn't going to have a nice ending, you can bet this one won't as well, because many problems still exist.
I'm actually amazed at the reviews, favs, and follows this story has gotten, especially since the first chapter was basically a retread of the first episode of Fate/Zero. Well that retread somewhat happened here, but from now on, there will be a lot less bleed over. To all of you who had been patiently waiting for an update to this, I humbly thank you, it might have looked like this little diddy was abandoned, but I'm getting back into the swing of things with both Lucids. I'm also working on a DBZ fanfic that is a bit of a spiritual successor to The Rabbit Hole that I wrote for Team Dragon Star a couple years ago. Unlike that story, this one will most likely be a multi-chapter, it also won't really detract from the Lucid's. I should also be writing another chapter for Tale of the Gallant Familiar soon, but that might be a bit. Anywho, onto the stuff!
Questions? Comments? Concerns? PM me! As of now, all my betas have moved onto bigger and better things, so no beta, if you see any typos or grammatical errors, then it's because that's the deal. Thanks a bunch for everyone who keeps on reading!
Disclaimer: I do not own Naruto or Fate/Stay Night. They belong to Kishimoto Masashi and Type-Moon respectively. Please support the official release!
P.S. I've also started an anime review website for any of you who are interested, and Fate/Zero is one of the reviews! It's a bit small at the moment, but I'm intending for it to get bigger this year. You can find the site in my profile page:
animeotakureview . com (just take out the spaces)
Hopefully any who make it there like it!
P.P.S. I've also started a page to help with both, the review site and some fanfic bleed through, which is mostly in the rewards and goals. If you're feeling kind please check that out as well at:
. com (slash) redhathackersin (again, spaces)
I think that's all for me! Peace out!
