Hello everyone and welcome back for another chapter. A big thank you to those who reviewed...

And a really big thank you to those who favorite, added me, and are following this story.

I'm so sorry about the very late update. Things haven't been going so well and it's been rough on me the last few months but I'm trying. I'm not dead.

So, only two more chapter until we reach the first climax! Then shit hits the fan and things really get bad for a while before we see more fluffy times. Expect tears and really bad things guys.

Disclaimer: I do not own anything except my OC's.

Odette – Age 13

Thor and Loki – Age 15

Loki was sick. When I arrived I noticed that everyone was in Loki's room. They sat around his bed, talking to him and keeping him company. I was told it's very rare for anyone, like Loki, to ever get sick but he's been ordered to stay in bed until he get's better.

"I wish I knew you were sick. I would've brought ice cream with me." I told Loki, sitting next to him in his large green colored bed.

"What's that?" Loki asked.

"A cold desert that would make anyone who would feel sick, better. My dad gives me ice cream when I feel sick." I said and smiled at him.

"Maybe...tomorrow?" Loki said before coughing hard. I frowned and rubbed his arm.

"I promise." I told him. Thor was sitting on the other side of Loki, a frown on his face too as we watched Loki cough up a lung and sweat drip down his face. "Is there anything we can do?" I asked Frigga. She placed a hand on my shoulder and smiled lightly at me.

"The healers gave him something to help move the sickness along. It may be a while before he recovers fully. We should leave and allow Loki some rest. We shall visit another time when he is woken." Frigga said and made us leave Loki so he could get some rest. Frigga and Odin went one way while Thor and I walked in a different direction. He seemed quieter than normal and when I asked him why he didn't answer me and kept walking.

"Thor if you don't answer me right this second I'm gonna...do something!" I shouted at him and Thor stopped.

"I feel so helpless." Thor muttered and I went to him as he fell to his knees.

"Thor are you okay? Want me to get your mom?" I asked him and he shook his head, bringing me closer to him in a tight hug. It's not like a normal hug like before but a different one that just felt...weird.

"I can't help him." Thor muttered sadly. "I wish I can help him."

He's talking about Loki. Poor Thor.

"I know you want to but you heard your mom, the healers said he'll be better soon. So long has he gets sleep and soup he'll be fine." I told him but Thor just shook his head and ran this hands through his hair with a frustrated sigh.

"But I am the eldest, I am supposed to protect Loki who is younger. That is what I am..." He gets to his feet and starts to pace, leaving me to fall on my butt.

"Thanks." I said under my breath and sat Indian style as I watched the blond god child pace back and forth in front of me. Back and forth, muttering himself and I just rolled his eyes. "Thor will you please just take a deep breath. Loki isn't dying."

"But he could be! Sickness can mean anything!"

"But he just has a cold! He's not dying!" Thor let out a growl almost and kicked the pillar closest to him. He slumped down and rubbed his face. I crawled over to him and rested my head on his shoulder. "I know your his older brother but there are somethings that we just can't stop." Thor sighed and we just sat there for a while, just relaxing in each others presence.

Then our hands entwined.

Then his arm wrapped around my shoulders.

For some reason it just felt so right.

I felt so safe in his arms.

"I..uh...made something for you." I pulled out from under his arm and watched as he took out a golden necklace. A golden heart necklace with a white glowing gem swan placed directly in the middle.

"It's so pretty. This for me?" He nodded his head and I saw a slight blush come across his face. He made me turn around and placed the beautiful necklace around my neck. "Why?"

"Can't a friend give another dear friend a gift?" He asked and his face got darker.

"Of course but I didn't get anything for you."

"No need. Your friendship is all I will ever need." He said and for some reason it kind of hurt me. I mean, Thor will always be one of my only best friends besides Loki but...that...made me feel like I'm just a friend.

"Thank you Thor. I love it." I said and smiled at him. Thor smiled back. After that, we spent the rest of our time together, doing whatever came to our minds. By lunch time we returned to Loki's room to find that he was awake. We stayed with him until it was time for me to leave. Thor walked me back to my room and before I went in to go home I gave him a quick kiss on the cheek.

"Thank you." I told him, watching his face turn a different shade of red. I disappeared into the room. After the door closed Thor placed a hand on his cheek, a smile stretching across his face.
