Hello everyone. It's been.. a long time and a lot of changes in my life. I hope people will still be reading this.

Mello's head rested against the surface of the bar countertop, a soft thumping sound could be heard as he pulled back then lowered his head to it again, trying to tune out the annoying redhead's blabbering.

He didn't know just what caused him to nod when the stranger casually suggested they go have a drink, ending up in another bar. He entertained the thought of the other young man actually having damaged his brain as he jumped from subject to the other, the blond barely able to register a video game or a manga character's name before the redhead forgot what he was talking about, took a sip of his beer and went on telling another oh so interesting story.

Why was he putting up with this again?

Ah yes, because he didn't want to spend his last night in Paris, working.

Running a gloved hand through his hair, he glanced at his side to find the goggle faced man still talking, leaving a mental note to himself that next time, perhaps he should decline when a stranger asks him out for a drink.

Minutes passed, and Mello didn't notice when the redhead had stopped talking, his gaze had trailed downwards and he was absently admiring the wooden surface of the table before him. He lifted his glass to his lips and downed its content, musing the thought of a very improbable but highly pleasing defeated face of an arrogant albino.

Looking up after a moment as he remembered where he was, he was met with an amused expression. The redhead was leaning his elbow against the table, watching him intently.

"It's rude to stare." He reminded, leaning back in his chair, raising a smug eyebrow toward the stranger.
"It's rude to not listen when someone is telling you very interesting stuff about themself." The other retorted, readjusting his goggles on his eyes.
"Those were my survival instincts kicking in to save me from dying from boredom." The blond stated bluntly, tapping his fingers on the wooden surface and holding the gaze of the male opposite to him.
The redhead tried to fight back a smirk but seemed to fail in the end, giving a mockingly understanding nod and looking away from the blond, scanning the place quietly before turning back to face the other man. "What brings you to France?" He inquired, resting his elbow on the table while his other hand fiddled with the packet of smokes on the wooden surface.

Getting no reply other than an uninterested look from the blond, he quirked an eyebrow at him and pulled out a cigarette, lighting it and sitting back in his chair, returning the other man's look as of saying 'Two can play the quiet game'.

Mello crossed his arms over his chest, taking in a deep breath and tapping his gloved fingers on the table before him.

"Want to go someplace interesting?" The redhead asked, already finishing his cigarette and stomping It in the ashtray before him. Not really waiting for an answer, he stood up and placed the pack of cigarettes in the pocket of his jacket, finally looking at Mello still sitting in his previous position, showing no signs of intending to follow the goggle-faced man.

"I have a feeling I won't like this." Mello muttered, rising to his feet and following the redhead outside.

And he didn't, he told told himself as he leaned against the wall, biting into a dark chocolate bar and watching the redhead argue heatedly with peers of the same mental age. The thirteen year olds surrounding the geek were cheering for their friend, another unsupervised teenager still out at that godforsaken hour. They had stopped at an arcade, Mello honestly couldn't say he was the least bit surprised, he just assumed the other man would take a little more time to return to his little comfort zone. Somewhere between leading Mello to a gaming system, sitting down, getting a new high score, making a celebratory dance and being surrounded by impressed teenagers, the goggle faced man had managed to make some new friends, who seemed to insist on talking to him about every game that ever existed, hence the heated argument taking place at the moment.

Mello didn't mind, in fact, he found himself amused by the way the tall man stood up amongst the young crowd, making more than funny expression as he interacted and gave his, apparently valuable assessment on each game his young company seemed to recall.

Leaning against the back of an unused Dance Dance Revolution game, Mello looked away from the redhead and started examining his surroundings. Slowly but surely, the sounds of the annoying games started to get on his nerves, loud cheers of adolescents echoes around the huge hall and that didn't help at all to make him fell better. Glancing around from one machine to the other, he began to wonder that maybe leaving and sitting somewhere quiet where he can enjoy a nice view of the beautiful city that would return more benefits than this.

Turning his head towards the redhead, or at least where he was supposed to be, the space was now filled with his teenage fans continuing a heated conversation without him. Rolling his eyes at the situation, Mello pushed himself off the game and stood up straight, walking towards the door. He'd had enough gaming to last him a lifetime.

Pushing the door open and shoving his hands in his pockets, he tried to ignore a pang of guilt at leaving the redhead behind. It wasn't really guilt, he told himself, he just felt like he was missing out on some thing, he was unsure of what it was exactly, but that strange google faced man was intriguing. Shaking his head, foolishly thinking it would shake any ideas about the redhead from his mind, he started walking in a random direction, staring down at his boots as they clacked against the pavement.

Lost in his own thoughts, Mello missed the voice calling his name several times trying to get his attention, but he did feel a strong grip of a hand on his arm and a warm body standing barely a few centimeters away from him. Immediately turning around, a great use of his fast reflexes, he was faced with a flash of emerald eyes boring into his, a teasing voice softly mumbling "Bored of me already?"
