Cobra Armageddon Z: Alien Exodus 3

Note: I do not own the rights to Men In Black, Ben 10, Transformers: Prime, Or any of the other properties that I am borrowing from for this story; but their presence makes this story a fun read... at least that is the intent.

"Have you ever seen anything like this, before?" Ben asked, "It feel's weird."

"This is more than just abandoned," Kevin said, "Not quite a war zone either. Why did your Grandpa send us here?"

"I don't know, but he sure sounded angry," Ben said, "Actually, I don't think Ive ever seen him that angry before."

"Guess we need to get to the bottom of things here," Kevin said, "Lets start by finding out who it is that is messing with my car!"

Kevin and Ben turned, and sure enough, there was a person in a black suit kneeling next to the front tire of Kevin's car.

The more Ben and Kevin looked, the more people they saw, all wearing black suits. Ben started to inch his hand over to the Omnitrix

"Uh-oh…" Kevin said, "Hey, Uh… I have permits for the tech in that car…"

"No you don't," Agent K said, startling Kevin as he was standing right next to them.

"Better leave the watch alone, kid," Agent J said, eyeing Ben, while fingering his small Noisy Cricket.

The one kneeling next to the car stood up and approached Agent K, with a PDA in her hand. Ben was surprised to see that the girl was barely as old as he was. Wait, was she even that old yet?

"There are at least 16 separate tech violations in the car," the girl said, speaking with a British accent, "The tires are a match."

Anger flashed behind K's eyes as he abruptly turned on the two boys. "You take a trip up to Nevada, lately?"

"Uh.. No, we.." Kevin began.

"Don't even think about lying to me, son," K said, "Your out of town tires are very distinctive, and you've been leaving tiretracks all over the state. I ask you again, did you go to Jasper, Nevada?"

"Oh, Jasper, yeah, we… uh, went there," Kevin said.

"What difference does it make?" Ben demanded, "I'm a Hero who has saved this planet more times than I can count! We heard there was some joker there scavenging alien tech to sell on the black market. We busted in and investigated. It's what we do!"

"What you do is make a mess of things," K said, anger tinting his normally monotone voice. "Agent M there," he pointed to the British girl, "has saved the world at least as many times as you, before she even came to this country. You don't want to know how many times Agent J and I have saved this world. You are nothing but a lucky kid with a high tech watch, you don't even know how to use."

"I don't have to listen to this!" Ben said, his hand slamming down onto his wrist. "XLR8!" he shouted as his body morphed into the form of an alien speedster.

J fired his gun, but missed. Ben, as XLR8 had already moved… but he hadn't moved very far. The alien form tripped over Agent K's extended foot and landed face down on the pavement.

"Aw, Man…" Ben said, shaking his head, and regaining his footing before he intended to dash away again. Suddenly it felt like his entire being was being shattered from the inside out by sonic waves. The Omnitrix prematurely sounded its time-out tones and Ben reverted back to his human form.

Agent M replaced the cap over the glowing red tip of her lipstick.

"Are you prepared to listen now?" K said, "despite your intentions or motives, what you did was break into a government quarantined area. You disabled the alarms, took out a sizable portion of fence, and cleared a wide path through a minefield; without the courtesy of informing anyone of your actions so they could at least repair the damage you did after the face. This… what happened to this town is entirely your fault!"

"While I would love to think so," another man, this one wearing a ruffled brown suit, said, "This situation is not entirely his fault. Granted the fate of this particular town is. I'm Agent Fowler, now if your two agencies are done squabbling with each other; I will show you what is going on."

Agent Fowler led Ben, and Kevin, with the Men In Black agents following behind. They already knew what sights they were about to be shown.

The first few streets they walked past were all abandoned. The next street was full of soldiers who were herding civilians into lines. At the end of each line, a pair of people in white lab coats and HAZMAT gear were examining each person one by one. Some civilians were then placed onto waiting busses and trucks, while others were taken out of site, into a nearby building.

"Were either of you bitten or injured while you were in Nevada?" Agent M asked Ben and Kevin.

"Nah, it was pretty uneventful, actually," Kevin answered, "Nothing hurt Gwen either."

"Its an infection," Agent Fowler said, "spread by transfer of bodily fluids, normally when saliva enters the bloodstream. The disease is 100% fatal."

"Is it alien? Is that why we are here?" Ben asked.

"I wish it were alien," Special Agent Fowler said, "At least then there is a better chance of getting a cure. No, this virus is 100% human made. You are here for two reasons. One, to show you what your careless actions have led to. We had this thing contained and nearly eradicated at Jasper, but no, you go and let one of them out!"

"The other reason you are here," Agent K said, "is that we need to keep this disease from spreading off planet. We are currently monitoring the voluntary evacuation of aliens from human condoned space landing zones. We need you Plumbers to make sure nothing else comes here, and to keep an eye on all the unofficial landing zones. If this thing gets off planet… It could wipe out more than just this world, in a very short period of time."

They continued to follow Fowler into another building.

"If you have it contained, then wont it die out on its own since it is 100% fatal?"

"We don't have it contained," Agent K said.

"We have it under control here," Fowler said, "Enough to get the uninfected out, but we still haven't found the one that brought the infection here from Jasper."

"And just because it kills you," Agent J said, "Doesn't mean you cant still move around and spread the infection."

"Wait," Kevin said, "Are you actually talking Zombies?"

"This seems a bit much for a practical joke," Ben said.

"Whose joking?" Fowler said, and gestured to a steel door with a small reinforced glass window in it.

What was inside had once been a teenage girl, even younger than MIB Agent M. She wasn't alive anymore, the bullet holes and glassed over eyes were proof of that, yet the girl… the thing was blindly pacing the perimeter of the tiny makeshift cell she/it was in.

"By itself its nothing much, but in groups, these things are worse than a good horror movie," Fowler said," and they form groups with frightening speed. There was another outbreak in Florida, not directly tied to this location, but undoubtedly the same virus. If this thing begins to get out of hand…"

"If this spreads," K said, "Then the alien evacuation will no longer be voluntary. We may need to deport any aliens off world for their own safety."

"What about the humans?" Ben said, "Shouldn't we evacuate them too?"

"Not many worlds welcome humans, even fewer once they hear we might be plague carriers," J said.

"In either case, the SGC is making arrangements to get the world leaders off world, should it come to that," Fowler said, "The human race will survive, even if it isn't on this rock."
