Please enjoy chapter 10! Reviews are appreciated! I hope to put some SasuNaru in the next chapter. I'm not sure if it should be intense SasuNaru (sex) or not.

CHAPTER 10

"Sasuke it's time to go." Tsundae was standing in the doorway. He had a book and his journal. This was all he really had at work. He got up from his chair. Tsunade moved out of his way. He locked the door behind him and nodded at her. He held in a sigh.

"All right straight down to the basement. There's a car waiting. Naruto's already in the car." She smirked. They made their way to the elevators. He wasn't going to put up a fight like Naruto. Tsunade was a scary woman.

They made it down to the basement parking lot. It smelled like mildew and the air was heaving. A black SUV was parked right in front of the elevator waiting. Tsunade put a hand on Sasuke's shoulder. He turned to look at her.

"Sasuke I don't want you to think any different of Naruto. He was put in a situation that provoked him. He chose fight over flight. I know it's hard, but he did what he did and we can't change that."

"I understand, but I'm still trying to wrap my head around what they did to Naruto and who the hell his father is."

"Naruto's father double crossed the AMBU agency as we discussed earlier. He has vital information on them. AMBU aren't the only one looking for him. Some say he's dead and some say he's in hiding."

"What do you think?" Sasuke looked her in the eyes.

"Nice try." she slapped Sasuke on the shoulder.

Jiraiya moved to the side of the car and opened the door to the slick black SUV. The leather seats matched the exterior of the SUV. Sasuke turned and moved to get in. He got in and the Jiraiya closed the door. Sasuke turned and saw Naruto lying across the back seat. There was a knock at the window and Sasuke rolled it down.

"Behave yourselves we'll check in soon." Tsunade smiled. She didn't have to worry about Sasuke misbehaving, but Naruto...would he try to retaliate against Sasuke? He couldn't even begin to imagine what Naruto had gone through. They had recorded the whole "interrogation" but they didn't watch it. He was glad they skipped over it. Whoever ran the AMBU Agency was sick. He nodded and rolled the window up. The driver set the SUV in drive.

Three or four hours later Naruto stirred in the back seat. He was mumbling and moving around. Sasuke turned in his seat to look at Naruto. He was still asleep. He couldn't make out anything the blonde was saying. He wasn't sure where they were going. He wasn't really paying attention to his surroundings. He had too many things on his mind. How dangerous was the ANBU Agency? They had gang ties everywhere in Konoha, even had foreign clients like TenTen. He dreaded when Naruto would wake. How would he react? He heaved a sigh.

Naruto floated in darkness. He felt calm in the quietness of the dark. He didn't want to move or make a noise for fear he would break this peaceful feeling. A faint burning sensation started at the tips of his toes and fingers. At the sensation moved up his limbs the burning grew stronger. He tried to move. His limbs were heavy as he tried to bring his arm up. His whole body was on fire. He screamed but the darkness seemed to swallow the noise.

"Naruto!" a voice yelled. The blonde shot up looking frantically around at his surroundings. He saw a familiar face. "Naruto you were screaming." Sasuke looked at him with concern.

"Oh...I uh," Naruto put a hand to his face. He was sweating and his heart was racing.

"Is it PTSD?" Sasuke sat on the edge of the bed.

"Yeah." Naruto replied quietly.

"I'm sor-"

"Drop it." Naruto moved to the opposite side of the bed and got up. He didn't want to hear how sorry Sasuke was. He just doesn't want anyone to get hurt. Not because of himself, or his father. Sasuke sat in silence at the edge of the bed. Naruto walked past him to find the kitchen.

The kitchen was small, barely enough to fit two. The walls had little white tiles. One row of tiles had roosters on them. He rummaged through all the cabinets. Nothing appealed to him. He snatched a box of crackers and angrily ate them. He continued to look around, the house was small. Two bedrooms, one bathroom, and of course the living room and kitchen. It had a little log cabin type of feel to it. He made his way back into the kitchen. He pulled part of the curtain aside and looked outside, surrounded by tall pine trees.

"In the middle of bum fuck nowhere." Naruto mumbled. He felt bad for treating Sasuke so coldly. He also felt anger and frustration. He had to get over it, it happened, it's done. They'll get to the bottom of this. He'll make the AMBU pay for what they did.

"Naruto?" Sasuke was standing in the kitchen with Naruto now.

"What?" the blonde turned and looked at Sasuke.

"You're crushing the crackers..."

"Oh uhh..." Naruto had the sleeve of crackers in his hand. They were crushed and some had spilled onto the counter.

"Do you want to talk about it?" Sasuke looked concerned.

"Not now, later." Naruto moved passed Sasuke. The raven caught a glimpse of the orange pendant around the blonde's neck. He couldn't help but smile as Naruto walked away. Sasuke went to the refrigerator and opened it. He spotted mostly healthy food, alcohol, and juice. He didn't quite understand why there would be alcohol. It would be counterproductive to drink at a time like this. He closed the refrigerator and started to explore the house as Naruto just did. Sasuke stopped in the living room. Naruto sat on the couch flipping through TV channels.

"Naruto what room do you want?"

"Doesn't matter, a bed is a bed. Good enough for me." He let out a small laugh. He rubbed at the back of his neck. The sedative that Jiraiya gave him still lingered. He felt groggy.

"Still feeling tired?" Sasuke sat in the arm chair that was next to the couch. The Ravens eyes focused on the TV.

"Little bit." Naruto yawned.

"I'd say more than just a little." Sasuke chanced the retort.

"Oh shut up." Naruto countered. Sasuke held back a smile for the second time.

"Any theories on why Akatsuki was formed in the first place?" Sasuke asked Naruto. Naruto who was slouched down on the couch turned the TV off and sat up. He looked at Sasuke.

"Not really. I don't see how they would profit from ruining Konoha. It wasn't that great of a place to begin with. Crime rate is up but not by much." Naruto scratched his head.

"Money seems to be a motivator."Sasuke suggested.

"What would they need loads of money for, just to get rich?"

"They obviously need money for something."

"Yeah, we'll have to figure out a way to get more information," Naruto paused and picked a small piece of fuzz off himself, "What's your connection with Akatsuki?" Naruto stared at Sasuke.

"What?" Sasuke shifted in his chair.

"Remember our first assignment? You tensed up at the mention of Akatsuki." Naruto eyed him.

"Well…" he trailed off.

"Sasuke you owe me this. No more secrets." Naruto got up and sat on the arm of the couch looking down at Sasuke. The raven haired agent sat back in the armchair. Why was Naruto so intimidating right now? He took a breath, no more secrets. "My family was killed by Akatsuki."

"I'm sorry…" the softness in Naruto's voice surprised Sasuke.

"My brother disappeared a few days later. I don't even know if he's alive. I've searched for him, but nothing."

"We'll bring Akatsuki and the AMBU down wither it kills me or not." Naruto's fists were clenched.

"Yeah but I won't let you die." Sasuke stood up. He's not going to let anyone get killed.

"Same goes here…you're not dying on my watch." Naruto gave him a determined grin. An awkward silence fell between them. "So you're cooking!" Naruto slapped him on the shoulder and let himself fall backwards onto the couch.

"Oh so you can't cook?" the agent raised an eyebrow at his partner.

"I didn't say that."

"So you can't?"

"Not really…" Naruto put his hands behind his head and shut his eyes, "Wake me when the foods ready."

"You're unbelievable." Sasuke shook his head and made his way into the kitchen.
